Research on the Relationship between the Service Quality and Customer Loyalty of the Hair Beauty Industry for the Silver Generation : With a Focus on Relationship Quality (실버세대 헤어 미용업의 서비스품질과 고객충성도에 대한 관계성 연구: 관계품질을 중심으로)

  • The silver generation in our aging society will rapidly emergeas a new consumer group and the service industry used by silver customers will develop going forward. The beauty service sector is one of the most needed ones for the qualitative improvement of life for the silver generation. In this research, ananalysis was conducted on 244 persons of the silver generation living in Seoul, in order to examine the factors affecting the quality of the beauty service for the silver generation and their relationships with customer loyalty. For the statistical treatment of the empirical analysis, the SPSS 23.0 and AMOS 23.0 statistical programs were used. The results of the analysis showed that the service quality perceived by the silver customers who used the beauty service had significant effects on trust and flow, which are the relationship qualities, and that trust and flow had positive effects on customer loyalty. Also, it was found that, in the relationship between service quality and customer loyalty, trust had mediating effects on reliability, responsiveness, empathy, and assurance, and that flow had mediating effects on reliability, responsiveness, empathy, assurance, and tangibility. The results of this research are significant in that they present the basic data enabling the beauty industry to play an important role for the silver generation, under the present circumstances in which the beauty service industry has minimal educational programs exclusively available for the silver generation.

An Empirical Study of the Elderly's Information Literacy on Their Happiness (실버세대의 정보 활용능력이 삶의 행복감에 미치는 영향 분석)

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze the relationship of information literacy, life satisfaction, and life happiness of the silver generation, and to suggest the direction for their happy life. We conducted a questionnaire survey targeted at the Internet users of over 60 years old adults living in Daegu/Gyongbuk areas. Data were analyzed using 238 valid samples. With the results, it revealed that the silver generations' life satisfaction fully mediates the relationship between their information literacy and their life happiness. Future studies are also discussed in this paper.

  • 한국은 이미 2000년 7월 1일을 기준으로 65세 이상의 인구가 전체 인구의 7.1%를 차지해 고령화사회로 진입했다. 본 연구는 이들 고령인구(이하 실버세대)의 선행연구 되어있는 컬러선호도와 제품/상품의 관여도에 따른 실제 구입컬러의 차이를 요인과 함께 분석함으로써 실버산업의 가능성과 컬러마케팅의 효용성에 관하여 연구하였다. 본 연구는 향후 맞이 할 고령화 사회에서 소비의 주체로 떠오르게 될 실버세대와 기업과의 커뮤니케이션에 있어 중요한 데이터로 활용 될 수 있을 것이다.

  • Recently, elderly populations are coming out as the first magnitude consumers. The purpose of the study is to present the basic data on the use of television media of elderly people and help developing the consumer market for the elderly people. This study was based on a survey conducted on the use of television media of Korean people over 20 years old with a thorough review of literatures published worldwide. This study revealed that the elderly consumers are more often dependent on television media than younger populations. This results will be applied in establishing a relevant promotion strategy for elderly marketing.

An Exploratory Study on the Preference of Silver Portal Contents: Focused on the Pre-senior Internet Users (실버포탈에서 제공하는 콘텐츠에 대한 선호도 연구: 40세 이상의 잠재 실버포탈 이용자를 중심으로)

  • This study defines the silver portal as a specialized internet portal that will be probably popular with the pre-senior/senior internet users who are over 40, sooner or later. The purpose of the study is to analyze what types of online contents on the silver portal are mostly preferred by the pre-senior/senior, and does the preference of those content types vary according to the demographic and the internet usage characteristics of the pre-senior. The study also is to suggest some research propositions, based on the analysis results, that could be applied to empirical studies in the future which deal with various research questions on the silver portal. To accomplish these research purposes, the study performed a survey for the prospective silver portal users who are living in the areas of Seoul and Kyeonggi, South Korea, and did various statistical analyses. This study found that the preference of content types of the silver portal vary according to some personal characteristics of the prospective silver portal users, and moreover proposed a few of research propositions on the relationships between personal characteristics and preferred content types.

  • As the population of silver generation is increased, there are emerged the aging society and the silver industry as social issues. Previous studies in the fields of library & information science, education, the industrial art science suggested the need for fairy tale books for the silver generation, and from the design perspective, the characteristics of fairy tale books for the silver generation were analyzed. A fairy tale book is not only a medium delivering some information, but also a platform that a writer provides services to readers. Therefore, the purpose of this study aimed to suggest the importance of sensual experience on the design of fairy book for the silver generation, and to analyze such kind of fairy book's format, grid, typography, type, edition structure, image, layout, cover, paper, printing and production on the basis of five senses. According to the findings of this study, it was found that fairy tale books for the silver generation had different characteristics(type, picture, color, paper, etc.) from those for children, and it would be desirable to make designs for fairy tale books for the silver generation under the silver generation's esthetics standards with considering the silver generation's physiological, psychological factors. It is expected that this study would become a good foundation for more intensive researches for fairy tale books for the silver generation in future and would also be theoretically helpful in developing fairy tale books for the silver generation in future.

A study on the Marketing Strategies of the Silver Clothing Industry (실버의류산업의 마케팅 전략에 관한 연구)

  • The increased average life expectancy and an aging society mean a lot of change socially and economically. With the increased population of the new elderly generation, holding a desire to pursue high quality life, plans and marketing strategies towards this group have progressed in the clothing industry. Purchases of clothing will lead the silver clothing industry to a huge consumer market and silver clothing brands are expected to have a lot of potential to grow, especially in department stores in Korea. From now on, there is a need for attacking the market with distinct tactics and characteristics that will satisfy the elderly consumers emotionally. Psychological views towards the elderly generation must be changed and our unique environment state must be considered. With all that, there is also a strong need for researches and development technically and industrially.

  • 4차 산업과 현대사회의 급격한 발전으로 인하여 현대인들에게 있어 스마트폰은 절대적 필수품으로 여겨진다. 또한 최근 인터넷 및 스마트 기기를 사용하는 '스마트 실버 세대'의 스마트폰 이용률이 증가해가는 추세이다. 본 논문에서는 '스마트 실버 세대'를 위해 불필요하거나 사용하지 않는 어플리케이션의 제거를 한눈에 볼 수 있도록 하여 어플리케이션을 제거(삭제)함에 있어 용이하고 편리함을 갖춘 '클린 앱' 어플리케이션을 제안한다. 더 나아가 '스마트 실버 세대'의 스마트폰 활성화를 위해 스마트폰 기기에 설치된 어플리케이션들을 사용빈도를 체크하고, 마지막으로 사용된 날짜를 확인 하여 불필요한 어플리케이션을 보다 정확하게 삭제 시킬 수 있도록 한다.
