  • The development of industrial society brought about the highly-aged society, facilitated urbanization and nuclear families and changed conventional society and even the values. Also, development of Information Technology is represented digital technology makes general life-style of economy, society, culture and life. This paper offers there is sense to offer aged residing zero that equip amenities, safety, convenience considering enough request of aged by change of life-style. Hereupon, architecture enemy of aged residing, I wish to quote direction of unit planning of smart silver town that is intelligence style residing space that can correspond to various life-style that bring by information society by diagnosing change factor of residing space and internal and external study trend of smart groove that extract Needs of old age by change of special Quality and life-style and appears in digital environment.

  • Dematerialization of consumption is in a rapid process, in relation to the flood of information. Consumers do not want to buy a material goods any more, in the condition of excessive supply. In the past industrial society with massive production and consumption, only the unified consumers were produced. In informational society, goods are not regarded as a simple material, but as an Intelligence Merchandise. Specialty shops for life articles should reflect these consumer's trend and should keep the value of brand and goods. Visual Merchandising strategy which connect the expectation of consumers and company images, should be considered as a communication tools, and be presented in diverse and specified ways.

  • The part of women was limited in a large family of the past and the benefit of a family was more valuable than the advantage of an individual. But social activity of the individual who is a member of the family is increased by the industrialization and rapid changes of society. As a result importance of the family is on the decrease in a society. All such phenomenons make new family types that we could not imagine at past and various life-style. This research proposes life-style of the near future and investigated by life-style stream process according to change members of the family with various documentary record. In conclusion, life-style of the near future is changed individualistic, rationalistic and material.

  • The current global spread of communal residential culture and the trend of continuing increase of newly built apartment environment are increasing the demand of home network products for each residential space and among households. The continuing advancement of ubiquitous and the introduction and development of home network system are promoting the demand for the product design. The residential culture change and the apartment interior design change are having mutual effects on the lifestyle of residents and the product design and demand new product design. Coordination with interior products, interior style and products, product and fashion design and reconstruction and fusion between the products and their element factors are the core element of this design study. Based on this, integrated design strategy and concept research and analysis were studied for the design process, and have been expressed in three dimension design through which the design functionality and the external aesthetical design can correspond to each other. It's because the aspect of the future development prospect can be predicted in detail by presenting practical design plan.

  • Recently, the paradigms of residential planing are changing by digitalization, diversity and globalization. Since the infortance of residential living behavior and lifestyle have been recognizing, house can be perceived as a lifestyle engineering product which realizes lifestyle in a concrete way. The purpose of this research scrutinizes lifestyles through resident's value and preference of everyday living behavior in the residential, special contact. This research was conducted through the small group workshop to housewives divided into three groups such as the age 30-40s, 45-55s, 60-70s group. The workshop consisted of three stages, such as the awareness of family and home, the satisfaction of residential space, the value and preference of everyday living behavior. This study shows that Lifestyle characterize by ages, differences of living pattern and individual traits. The 30-40s' housewives relate to foster of a preschool child and it makes load of household. their characteristic is the preference of rest as releasing stresses. The 44-55s' housewives have self-oriented traits. they pursue own space and interaction with others. The 60-70s' housewives require natural interaction with family more than private space and an open view.

Senior Citizens' Image Preference for Interior Design Styles (실내디자인 스타일에 대한 노인들의 선호이미지 연구)

  • As Korea has rapidly entered the aging society, the Korean government and academia are currently undergoing many researches on senior citizens. There also has been an increase in senior citizens' awareness on the importance of spatial designs that reflect the newly emerged needs brought out by their psychological and emotional changes as well as their physical aspects. Therefore, the purpose of this research is to propose a model for senior citizens' image preference to be adopted in future developments for senior-friendly spatial designs. A literature review and a questionnaire survey were implemented as research methods. The questionnaire survey was conducted at two senior welfare centers located in Seoul and Ansan and two disparate senior colleges, on the subjects of 86 senior citizens aged 60 and older. 7 styles of Romantic, Classic, Country, Modern, Natural, Casual, and Traditional were chosen for the study and the realms to apply the image preference were divided into Space, Element1 and Element2. For Space, its subcategories have been restricted to living room and bedroom while color, furniture and lighting for Element1 and material, pattern and props for Element2. Survey results were statistically analyzed for the correlation among socio-demographic factors of senior citizens, spaces and the elements. The study result showed that older age and men tended to prefer the modern style than younger age or women, and younger women preferred the romantic style. For the color preference in Element1, older men preferred the classic style while women preferred the romantic style. And, for the furniture preference, men with higher income preferred the natural style while women preferred the romantic style. For the pattern preference in Element2, younger people preferred the casual style and it showed that the housing type was the main reason for their preferences. Therefore, the image preference according to their age and gender shall be taken account of as the most important factors when designing environments for senior citizens.

Whatnis Zen\ulcorner Zen is an approach to life, a way of being , rather then a philisophy or set doctrine. Modern living people quest for peace and tranquility has led designers and decorators to look to East to the natural harmony and blance of Asian home and to the simpicity of their art and design. Zen style interiors are simplicity and serenity. These imply the paring down of a cluttered environment and concentration on creating harmony. balance, touch, and texture. By achieving these things you can create a place where the spiritual or inner needs can be addressed and where you can indulge in calming or stimulating the senses with light, space, and free flow of energy In Zen interior we approach 'Homoㆍaesthetcus' by feeling and' Homoㆍreligious' by mind. "Less is more", this phrase has made the pared down environment an interior form.

The Relationship Between Interior Style of Residential Space and the Elderly' Cognitive Age - Focused on Bedroom and Living Room - (노인의 인지연령과 주거공간의 인테리어 스타일과의 관계 - 침실과 거실공간을 중심으로 -)

  • Many housing alternatives and design guidelines for the elderly have been suggested along with the rapid increase of old persons. However, most of them focused on the spatial composition and fixtures. They do not address on interior style which affects on interior mood. The interior style is especially important to the elderly who spend most of their time in indoor space, such as housing unit or nursing home. On the base of these backgrounds, the purpose of this study is to examine what interior style of bedroom and living room where the elderly lives are and whether they are significantly different depending on their cognitive ages, or not. The subject were 202 old persons who lived in Busan. Their ages were more than 65 years. They were interviewed by using 3D images of bedroom and living room. Each one consisted of three interior styles; Korean traditional style, Western classical style, and modern style. The results were as followings; The interior style of bedroom and living room which the old persons lived were different depending on the elderly's cognitive ages. The younger the old persons' cognitive ages were, they lived in bedroom or living room of modern style. Also, the older their cognitive ages were, they lived in bedroom or living room of Korean traditional style. These results show that the cognitive age of the old persons affect the characteristics of interior design which they live. Also, it implies that the elderly are not one homogeneous group, but a heterogeneous one.

  • As late as middle of 1980s, what was referred to as new model cars consisted, on the premise of a standardized packaging layout, principally of the endeavor to transform their style images by changing little by little the form of layouts almosts similar to or with larger bodies than those of the old model ones. Afterwards even in the period of competition of engeineering and mechanical body styles for reducing fuel cost and improving comfortability in riding, the standardized packaging layout did not change visibly, simply trying to ameliorating commercialism through high output and high efficacy on the engineering part. Today the sudden prevalent motorization in every walk of life has brought about the development of the car industry, thus producing surplus supply and technical standardization. This phenomenon of technical standardization leads the concept of the renovation of car design to a way quite different from that of the past and so may be said to be confronted with an era that requires genuine-sense car design in a way. It seems that interior design plans are of much more importance than external shapes. This is because the effort for enhancing comfortability to keep car passengers' needs of transportation is one of the essences of car design. The objective of this study consists in inquiring into how to plan motorcar interior design, an essential prerequisite in determining the external or of a car, obtaining data needed via analysis of interior design plans of the car models that have won favorable criticism from consumers, thus contributing to the use of the data obtained for reference in car design activities in a genuine sense.

A Study on Exterior Design Style in Superyachts (수퍼요트의 외관 디자인 스타일에 관한 연구)

  • This study is intended to investigate the superyacht exterior design style from the viewpoint of marine architectural design. Especially it is focused on the exterior profile design of superyachts. Superyachts are passenger vessels whose hull exceeds 24m. They are a kind of luxurious leisure ships. Marine architectural designer can contribute in the field of exterior and interior design of superyachts. In this study we analyze outboard profile of 32 superyachts and extract key design elements of exterior profiles. Those are sheer line, stem line, bow line, house line and windows.
