An NCS-based Evaluation Method of National Technical Qualification Examination in Electronics Fields (NCS 기반 전자분야 국가기술자격 실기시험 평가방법)

  • This paper presents an improved evaluation method, based on National Competency Standards (NCS), of National Technical Qualification (NTQ) examination in Electronics Fields such as Craftsman Computer, Industrial Engineer Computer Maintenance Control, Engineer Computer System Application, Engineer Computer, Engineer Embedded) to reflect practical vocational abilities and raise values of NTQ certificates. To evaluate each NTQ examination, we carefully chose corresponding NCS competency units for practical performance test, written subjective test, and mixed test through the advisory committee with industry, education, and qualification experts. In addition, we verified useful effects of the NCS-based evaluation method by performing and analyzing the simulated tests. We used both single and mixed problems in practical performance test and new problems about system design and implementation based on various working scenarios in written subjective test.

Directions to Improve Specialized Knowledges and Practical Abilities for Taekwondo Majoring University Students (태권도 전공 학생들의 태권도에 대한 전문지식과 전문 실기 능력 향상을 위한 개선 방향)

  • The purpose of this study was to identify contents of Taekwon and to improve specialized knowledges and practical abilities for Taekwondo majoring university students. The sample was categorized into college and student. The first round survey was divided into two parts in finding possible ways to improve practical abilities from students and school authority perspectives. The second round was conducted through survey by dividing respondents into students and school authority. The third round was performed to identify the nessessities and problems in relation to specialized knowledge and practical abilities such as sparring, poomsae, and demonstration. Based on the findings, three critical themes were identified: motivating them to accumulate specialized knowledge, providing opportunities to practice, and offering diverse job directions. Students indicated several critical themes such as recognition of job opportunities in different domains, endeavour to increase communication ability with others in different domains, reconsideration to learn things in different domains, and efforts to take an interests in life-time Taekwondo. The findings provide ideas in applying practical knowledge into the field and in changing students' perception in terms of Taekwondo majoring. They are specialized knowledge and practical ability improvement based upon college authority and students (15 college authority items, 9 student items).

  • 본 논문에서는 실용음악학과를 지원하는 수험생들의 입시준비교육기관인 실용음악학원의 교육과정과 실태에 대하여 기술한다. 또한 영리 목적의 대형 실용음악학원들의 입시 프로그램과 다양한 세부전공 수험생들의 보편적 전략을 비교함으로써 입학 후 실기 곡 위주의 입시교육으로 인해 발생할 수 있는 신입생들의 전공실기 이수능력문제와 대학의 실용음악교육과정 운영상의 문제점을 분석한다. 아울러 일관성 있는 심화교육을 위하여 실용음악학원과 대학 상호간의 교육프로그램 연계와 실용음악학원의 단계별 입시프로그램을 제안하고자 한다.

  • This paper describes development contents and flight tests of an ACMI simulator based on LVC integrating architecture. ACMI is the system that provides air combat training and ground bombing training for improving fighting efficiency, that is the live simulation involving real people to operate real systems. ACMI simulator was developed for technic acquisition of LVC interoperability by using data link communication. ACMI simulator simulated maneuvering of a fighter by operating an UAV, a fighter can be distinguished from an UAV by maneuvering characteristics. This study proposes maneuvering simulation method by using flight data of the UAV, and performed its flight test for verifying similarity of fighter maneuvering.

  • In computer subject assessment based on attitudes and skill, it is necessary to assess the ability of analyzing, capability, and attitudes. In this research, we propose a new method of performance assessment for computer subject. We made an experiment to prove this method in school. The result shows that the performance ability of students is more correctly assessed.

Expert Delphi Survey on Educational Goals and Subjects for Developing a Music Gifted Curriculum (음악영재교육과정 개발을 위한 전문가 델파이 조사: 교육목표 및 교과목을 중심으로)

  • The purpose of this study was to extract and validate the educational goals and the subjects for developing a music gifted curriculum. Based on literature review and analysis of music gifted curricula in foreign countries, 19 educational goals and 18 subjects were derived from literature review and analysis of music gifted curricula in foreign countries. To validate the educational goals and the subjects, delphi survey was carried out twice with 26 expert panelists in the field of music, music education and music gifted education. Delphi survey was analyzed using the mean, content validity ratio, and the degree of consensus. The final set of educational goals for music gifted education included 6 skills related goals, 4 creative expression related goals, 4 knowledge related goals, and 2 attitude related goals. The final set of subjects included 4 major-specific subjects, 5 foundational subjects, 4 theory-related subjects, 3 integration and social participation related subjects. The results of this study can be used as baseline data to develop a music gifted curriculum by providing ideas for deciding what to teach and why to teach in music gifted education.

  • This study analyzed the current state of interior design as a major at vocational high schools, colleges, and universities to improve their curricula. The questionnaires of students, teachers, and interior designers were collected and frequency distribution and mean were used to analyze the data. Result showed that the alloted times with major fields were high, but those with classes related to interior design were comparatively low at vocational school. Vocational schools did not seem to supply the systemic and qualified major equation for the students who wanted to engage in interior design fields. Therefore curricula reflecting the demand of designers working for interior design companies and students should be made. Additionally practical education contents based on interior design field and achievement of certification should be developed to vitalize the vocational school.

Study on the Present Status of Practicum of Fundamentals of Nursing and Test for Competency of Nursing Skills (기본간호학 실습교육현황과 실기능력 평가방법에 관한 조사)

  • Purpose: In this study the present status of the practicum in Fundamentals of Nursing and test for student competency in nursing skills were surveyed. Method: Participants included 72 nursing schools. A structured questionnaire was used for data collection and SPSS 17.0 for data analysis. Results: Credits for Fundamentals of Nursing, credits for practicum and hours per credit were 2.93, 7.34, and 2.14 respectively. Number of students per practice unit, full time assistants and students per assistant were 28.6, 0.6, and 20.2 respectively. Utilization of CPX room and OSCE room for practice was 5.6%, and 9.7% respectively. Of the school, 32.0% included clinical practice in the practicum. 90.3% provided an open lab but only 48.4% had full-time assistants for these clinical practice areas. Testing for nursing skill competency was performed twice a semester in most schools. Utilization of standard patients and high fidelity models for testing was 8.3%, and 23.6% respectively. The test was thought to be inappropriate in 33.4% of the schools. Conclusions: The results suggest that to improve the outcomes, the practicum for Fundamentals of Nursing needs to be changed to include expansion of facilities and human resources, utilization of standard patients and high fidelity models and development of appropriate test methods.

  • This study is about the class model that can demonstrate the modeling ability using the spatial perception capability on basic modeling required for jewelry design majors and the most important perspective method in jewelry design. The outputs were obtained by presenting the topics for creative activities to students after theoretical explaining how to present a spatial sense and presenting practical classes on basic shapes, stereoscopic shapes and perspective methods. While the existing basic molding classes were only practical classes, this study presented students with a class model that allows them to use creativity, basic perspective, and spatial sense together. And it was found out evaluation method that both students and professors can relate to each other through the intensive education effects and clear evaluation standards. I hope that this paper will continue to study more diverse materials and convergent class models.

  • In this paper, I survey the field which students use ICT and propose a teaching and learning model to improve students' ability in using ICT. Also, I apply it and prove its' effect. Because Problem Based Learning treats ill-structured problem which reflects actuality, Students can pick up the actual knowledge and become verse in general principle or concept which can transmit resemble problem or situation. Therefore, I hope a teaching and learning model which I propose in this paper has an effect to improve students' ability in using ICT.
