In this paper, we analyze the performance of a multicode-CDMA system which have been proposed for the multimedia communications. The performance of a multicode-CDMA system, providing good spectrum efficiency as well as serving various bit rates, is analyzed with multipath, frequency selective, slowly fading Rayleigh channel. Also the proposed scheme adopting RAKE receiver with MRC(Maximal Ratio Combine) is advantageous to multipath channel. For a practical channel modeling, the JTC(Joint Technical Committee) recommended channel model(JTC(AIR) 23-065R6) is applied to simulation. The proposed schemehas serial-to-parallel convertor which splits input data stream of 2 Mits/s into 20 branches o 100 kbits/s. From the result of simulation, the case of RAKE receiver with 3 fingers to reduce the system complexity required the relatively large $E_{b}/N_O$ of 0 dB~1.5 dB, compared to the case of RAKE receiver with the number of path finger to keep the average error rate to be $1{\times}10^{-3}$ in channel A.

In this study, the original medical image, DICOM file, was converted into TIFF, BITMAP, GIF, JPEG image file, and then the conversion loss ratio according to the image compression and conversion process was quantitatively evaluated using Origin pro and ICY image analysis program. As the evaluation method, 50% MTF, structural similarity index, MSE, RMSE, maximum signal - to - noise ratio and so on were evaluated. The TIFF image file showed the same result as DICOM image in all experimental groups, Image file format. In this study, we propose a new method for evaluating the quality of digital images by applying original evaluation program such as Origin pro or ICY medical image analysis program. Is expected to be used as research data in the field of medical image processing, and TIFF image file showing the same result as DICOM image in the basic research field using digital medical image and evaluation program that does not support DICOM file Therefore, it is believed that it will help to secure reliability in digital medical image processing research using image file.

Recently, magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), which can acquire images with good contrast without exposure to radiation, has been widely used for diagnosis. However, noise that reduces the accuracy of diagnosis is essentially generated when acquiring the MR images, and by adjusting the parameters, the noise problem can be solved to obtain an image with excellent characteristics. Among the parameters, the number of excitation (NEX) can acquire images with excellent characteristics without additional degradation of image characteristics. In contrast, appropriate NEX setting is required since the scan time increases and motion artifacts may occur. Therefore, in this study, after fixing all MRI parameters through the MRiLab simulation program, we tried to evaluate the tendency of image characteristics according to changing NEX through quantitative evaluation of brain T2 weighted images acquired by adjusting only NEX. To evaluate the noise level and similarity of the acquired image, signal to noise ratio (SNR), contrast to noise ratio (CNR), root mean square error (RMSE) and peak signal to noise ratio (PSNR) were calculated. As a result, both noise level and similarity evaluation factors showed improved values as NEX increased, while the increasing width gradually decreased. In conclusion, we demonstrated that an appropriate NEX setting is important because an excessively large NEX does not affect image characteristics improvement and cause motion artifacts due to a long scan.
Adaptive template filtering has been proposed recently for enhancement of signal-to-noise ratio without loss of resolution. In the adaptive template filtering, an optimal template among multiple templates is selected, then linear least square error filtering based on the template is applied in vowel by vowel basis. In some magnetic resonance imaging, where the distribution of gray level has relatively small dynamic range, e.g., $T_1$ imaging, however, artificial stair-like artifact is observed at near edges. This is partially due to the edge enhancement effect in such yokels that contain multiple compounds at the boundaries of tissues. The gray levels of these yokels become similar gray levels of near dominant vowels that contain single compound by the adaptive filtering, which enlarges edge discontinuities. In this paper, we propose a technique to eliminate such artifact by identifying those yokels that contain multiple compounds and assigning the largest template for them. Filtered images with the proposed technique show substantial visual enhancement at the edges without degradation of peak signal-to-noise ratio compared to the original adaptive template filtering for both magnetic resonance images and phantom images.
This study proposes effective quality control and maintenance method by developing a new qualitative evaluation method of apron for medical radiation protection. As an experimental material, one of 0.45 mm lead and 100 of 0.45 mm Pb aprons were used and irradiated under the conditions of a tube voltage of 75 kVp and a tube current of 12.5 mAs to obtain an image. and using the Image J program, PSNR values were compared and analyzed. The results showed that there were 40 aprons (less than 11dB), 55 aprons (less than 11dB, less than 30dB), and 5 aprons (30dB or more). In addition, the dose showed a normal distribution for the apron, and 5 aprons with PSNR less than 11dB and 30dB or more were selected and divided into 8 zones, and these groups were statistically significant.
In this paper, a combined 18F-FDG(fluorodeoxyglucose) and MNP(magnetic nanoparticles) contrast agent was synthesized using N-(p-maleimidophenyl) isocyanate as the crosslinker for use in simultaneous PET-MRI scans. PET-MRI images were acquired and evaluated before and after injection of the combined contrast imaging agent (18F-FDG labeled MNP) from a glioma stem cell mouse model. After setting the region of interest (ROI) on each acquired image, the area of the lesion was calculated by segmentation. As a result, the PET image was larger than the MRI. In particular, the simultaneous PET-MRI images showed accurate lesions along with the surrounding soft tissue. The mean and standard deviation values were higher in the MRI images alone than in the PET images or the simultaneous PET-MRI images, regardless of whether the contrast agent was injected. In addition, the simultaneous PET-MRI image values were higher than for the PET images. For PSNR experiments, the original image was PET Image using 18F-FDG, MRI using MNPs, and MRI without contrast medium, and the target image was simultaneous PET-MRI image using 18F-FDG labeled MNPs contrast medium. As a result, all of them appeared significantly, suggesting that the 18F-FDG labeled MNPs contrast medium is useful. Future research is needed to develop an agent that can simultaneously diagnose and treat through SPECT-MRI imaging research that can use various nuclides.

Selection relaying(SR) is usually based on signal-to-noise ratio(SNR) to decide whether or not to forward recovered symbols. However, instantaneous noise at relay is ignored, leading to the risk of erroneous retransmission induced by the relay that can be detrimental to the eventual detection of symbols at destination. To overcome this problem, we propose using new symbol error probability(SEP) related directly to reliability of received symbols instead of SNR. Simulation results show that the proposed SEP-based SR is considerably better than the conventional SNR-based SR under any relay position and threshold.
In medical visualization, volume visualization is widely used. Applying 3D images to diagnose requires high resolution and accurately implement visualization techniques are being researched accordingly. However, when a three-dimensional image volume visualization is implemented using volume data, aliasing will occur since using discrete data. Supersampling method, getting lots of samples, is used to reduce artifacts. One of the supersampling methods is Catmull-rom spline. This method calculates accurate interpolation value because it is easy to compute and pass through control points. But, Catmull-rom spline method occurs overshoot or undershoot in large gradient of pixel values. So, interpolated values are different from original signal. In this paper, we propose an adaptive adjusting weights interpolation method using Gaussian function. Proposed method shows that overshoot is reduced on the point has a large gradient and PSNR is higher than other interpolated image results.

Ternary sequences are digital codes consisting of discrete values -1, 0, and 1 only. They are advantageous in that the correlation can be carried out using additions only Also, they feature an ideal circular autocorrelation function, but in channel characterization tasks, the usual requirement is that the linear autocorrelation function be ideal, i.e., a Kronecker delta function. In this article, we consider two approaches to improving their linear autocorrelation or crosscorrelation properties: one is an inverse filtering method with theresholding and the other is a singular value decomposition (SVD) method. Both methods are simulated under noisy circumstances. The inverse filtering method resulted in an improvement in peak sidelobe level of about 1㏈ at an SNR of 30㏈, and the SVD method showed similar performances, albeit more sensitive to noise depending on the singular value selection strategy.
