  • Ianiropsis material collected from 11 localities of the Korean coasts were studied . Six species including one new species were identified to be new to Korea ; Ianiropsis derjugini Gurjanova, I.setifera Gurjanova, I. epilittoralis Menzies , I. tridens Menzies, I. serricaudis Gurjanova and I.koreaensis n.sp. All species are described and figured with a key to the Korean species of the Ianiropsis.

  • New and rare species of copepod parasites of the sufperch Ditrema temmincki Bleeker are reported from Korean seas. Two of them, each belonging to Colobomatus of Poecilostomatoida and Caligus of Siphonostomatoida, are described as new speices. The latter species is very peculilar in bearing the single-segmented exopod ini leg 4. Caligus tanago Yamaguti, an incompletely known species, is also described from the same fish host.

  • Based on the material in the Center for Insect Systematics, Chuncheon, Korea and Institute of Biology and Pedology, Vladivostok, Russia, 4 species of tineids are described as new to science: Morophaga parabucepkala sp. nov., Ceratutzcus orientatzus sp. nov., Gerontha ampliptera sp. nov., and G. namhaensis sp. nov.   • In the lepidopteran surveys in Mt. Changbai, China, during 2000-2003, 10 species of the genus Zanclognatha Lederer of Noctuidae were recognized. Of them, a new species, Zanclognatha lui sp. novo is described, two species (Zanclognatha umbrosalis Staudinger and Z. perfractalis Bryk) are reported for the first time from China, and four species (Z. fumosa, Z. lilacina, Z. violacealis and Z. tarsipennalis) are newly known from Mt. Changbai. Synonymies, distributional ranges, photos of the genitalia, and images of the new and newly recorded species are given.

  • Four harpacticoid species belonging to genus Attheyella were confirmed from South Korea: Attheyella (Attheyella) coream Miura, A. (A.) paucisetosa Chang and Kim, A. (Mrazekiella) byblis Chang and Kin, and A. (M.) tetraspinosa, n. sp. The new species and the male of A. (A.) paucisetosa are described. A. (M.) tetraspinosa, n. sp. most resembles A. baikalensis Borutzky, but readily distinguished from it and its relatives by the extraordinarily elongated leg 5 exopod and the female leg 5 basipod bearing four spines on it.

  • A new species, Nazeris rutilicorpus, of the subfamily Paederinae is described in Korea. This species is found from dead leaves near streams or forests. The illustrations of labrum, male abdomen and genitalia are presented. The differences between N. rutilicorpus and N. optatus (Sharp) are discussed.

  • Lepeophtheirus tuberculatus, n. sp., is described from the greenlings Hexagrammos otakii and H. agrammus from the Sea of Japan off Mangreung, Korea. This species has been confused with L. scuttger Shiino, 1952 and L. sheni Boxshall and Bellwood, 1981. However, the new species apparently differs from the latter two species.

  • A new species of the genus Oligonychus Berlese, 1886, Oligonychus solus n. sp. is described with its diagnostic characteristics and figures from Korea. This new species resembles closely to Oligonychus ununguis (Jacobi, 1905), but is easily distinguished by the transverse striae anterior to genital flap.
