The education should adapt learners well to any changes and have them create something for such a era. Form the point of this view. question sheet was developed for middle school students to improve their scientific creativity. For this study, 146 item questions, which was from chapter 7 about solar system movement in the 3rd grade textbook for middle school students, was developed. For 5 weeks, 142 third graders in middle school were chosen and observed. They were divided into an experimental group and a control group. The teaching model using question sheet was applied to the experimental group, while the traditional teaching model, to the control group. This study compared two groups based on scientific creativity and academic achievement. In both scientific creativity and academic achievement, the group using question sheet showed meaningful differences. This result of the analysis indicated that teaching model using question sheet stimulated student's creative thinking and helped them to achieve a goal of lesson. The teaching model using question sheet can be used as an effective way to increase students' creativity.
The influence of moving rainstorms to runoff was analysed for the nonsymmetric shaped basins using kinematic wave theory. The distribution types of moving rainstorms are uniform, advanced, delayed and intermediate type, the nonsymmetric shaped basins are square, oblong and elongated shape. The runoff hydrographs were simulated and the characteristics were compared with the symmetric shaped basins for the rainstorms moving up, down and cross the basins with various velocities. The smallest differences of peak runoff of symmetric and nonsymmetric basins are appeared in the case of elongated basin, and the largest differences are shown at the oblong basin for the downstream direction. The identical results are shown for the upstream direction. The greatest peak runoff differences are shown in the delayed type rainstorm and the smallest differences are in the advanced type rainstorm for the crossstream direction. The oblong shaped basin generates the longest peak time and shortest peak time for the elongated shape basin.

This study was conducted to investigate the effects of a participatory rehabilitation program on sit-rise and rise-to-walk test performances, and perception and motor skills in adults with medically vulnerable individuals and, adults with developmental disabilities in particular. Seventeen adults with developmental disabilities participated in a participatory rehabilitation program using resistance bands and exercise balls, for 60 minutes once weekly over 13 weeks. Their performances were measured before and immediately after the intervention, and 12 weeks after. The findings were as follows. In the sit-rise test, the number of times rising from sitting posture increased after the intervention versus before, but the difference was not statistically significant. In the rise-to-walk test, the performance showed statistically significant difference over time, and the post-hoc test showed a significant effect after the intervention versus before. There was no significant difference in perception and motor skills. In sum, the participatory rehabilitation program positively influenced dynamic balancing related to functional activities but had no significant effect on perception and motor skills, which is related to motor control and motor learning. It is suggested that to increase the participation in community activities, reduce fall risk, and improve dynamic balancing abilities in adults with developmental disabilities, participatory rehabilitation programs should be utilized to promote the physical wellbeing.
Objectives : This study was a systematic review of tongue movements in stroke patients with dysphagia. This study aimed to provide a basis for verifying the effects of tongue movement and identifying the tendency of tongue movement. Methods : A systematic review was conducted using the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses checklist and flow chart. PubMed, MEDLINE, CINAHL, RISS, and e-articles databases were searched. A total of six documents were investigated, and the PEDro scale was used to evaluate the quality of the papers. Results : Three intervention methods were included in the six papers analyzed. Regarding the type of tongue exercise, three TPRT (Tongue to Palate Resistance Trainings) and two TSAT (Tongue Strength and Accuracy Training) were mediated through the IOPI (Iowa Oral Performance Instrument), and only one study applied TSE (Tongue Stretching Exercise). The treatment effects for each intervention implemented in the literature were confirmed to be effective. However, generalizability of findings is difficult because of the small sample size. Further, no significant difference was found between the experimental and control groups. Conclusions : This study can help occupational therapists provide efficient swallowing rehabilitation treatment by applying tongue exercises to stroke patients with dysphagia. More research should be conducted to determine the effects of tongue exercise.

This study aimed to investigate the influence of the ankle dorsiflexion angle ($0^{\circ}$, $10^{\circ}$, and $20^{\circ}$) on the effectiveness of gastrocnemius stretching angle. The subjects of this study were 25 young man and female women. In all participants, the pennation angle of the medial head of the gastrocnemius was evaluated using ultrasonography at an ankle dorsiflexion angle of $0^{\circ}$, $10^{\circ}$, or $20^{\circ}$. Repeated measures analysis of variance was uesd to test for differences between ankle dorsiflexion angles. The independent t-test was performed to determine the significance of sex differences. The results of this study showed that the gastrocnemius pennation angle decreased as the ankle dorsiflexion angle increased, with significant interaction between each angle of ankle dorsiflexion angle (p<0.01). Sex comparison showed that the pennation angle was greater in man than in women, but the difference was not significant (p>0.05). According to the sex the gastrocnemius pennation angle is decreased as the ankle dorsiflexion angle increased (p<0.01). These results suggest that the end range of dorsiflexion is more beneficial for gastrocnemius stretching than a small range. Further studies are needed to investigate the influence of other factors, such as stretching angle and application time, on gastrocnemius stretching.
The purposed of this study was to examine the relation between dental hygienists' treatment posture and body pain by surveying 120 dental hygienists working at dental hospitals and clinics in Busan and to suggest desirable treatment postures and pain prevention methods for dental hygienists' health and job performance. Data obtained from the questionnaire survey were analyzed using SPSS 18.0 for Windows. The taller the hygienists were the less pains they had in their 'back' and 'hips' (p<0.05). The shorter the hygienists were the more pains they had in their 'back,' 'waist,' 'hips,' 'legs' and 'ankles/feet'(p<0.05). There was no difference in pains in each body part according to weight. In the results of analyzing correlations among pains in different body parts, a very strong positive correlation was observed between the pains in the 'knees' and 'legs' (r=0.71)(p<0.01). The hygienists of 56.7% had experience in education on treatment posture, and 62.5% were not doing exercise regularly. To the question on what should be done for health welfare in their workplace, the hygienists of 47.9% mentioned improvement in the environment of the workplace.

Purpose : The purpose of this study was to demonstrate the effectiveness of combined exercise for 12 weeks on the adiponectin and obesity related variables in overweight and obese children. Methods : Eighteen children in 5th grade in a certain elementary school in Busan were recruited. They were all overweight or obese children(more than 85 percentile in body mass index). Nine children in the experimental group were given exercises consisting of walking and band resistant training for 12 weeks. Auxological data(including height, weight and body fat mass) and laboratory data (fasting blood sugar, insulin, adiponectin) were checked at baseline and at the 1 week, and at the 4 weeks and 12 weeks stages of their exercise program. Insulin resistance and sensitivity were evaluated indirectly using HOMA index and QUICKI index. Results : Adiponectin gradually decreased until the 4 weeks point and gradually increased thereafter to the starting level at the 12 weeks stage. Body weight, body mass index(BMI) and HOMA index significantly decreased more at the 1 week, 4 weeks, and 12 weeks stages in the experimental group than in the control group. Body fat mass significantly decreased at 12 weeks. The change of insulin was significantly correlated with changes of body weight and BMI. But there was no correlation between changes of adiponectin and changes of insulin. Conclusion : Exercise seems to effect the adiponectin concentration. And it might be assumed that exercise increases the adiponectin concentration if it is continued for long time(may be more than 12 weeks). More studies may be necessary to draw that conclusion.
The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of Taekwondo and calcium intake on physique, growth hormone and IGF-1 in elementary school male students. 24 subjects who the fourth grade and Taekwondo black belt ($1{\sim}2$ poom) were classified into three groups; Taekwodo +calcium intake group (8), Taekwondo group (8) and control group (8). The period of Taekwondo was 12 weeks, 5 times a week and each time 50 minutes with RPE ($7{\sim}15$) for intensity were treated and subjects were given calcium at 750 mg of pill after dinner a day during the 12 weeks. The conclusions of this study are as follows; In the comparison within each group, three groups all significantly increased in body height but in the comparison between groups, A and B groups were more significantly increased in body height than C. C significantly decreased in growth hormone and in the comparison between groups, A and B groups were more significantly increased in growth hormone than C. In the comparison within each group, A and B significantly increased in IGF-1 and in the comparison between groups, A and B groups were more significantly increased in IGF-1 than C. It is considered that Taekwondo and calcium intake give effects to body height by increasing growth hormone and IGF-1. It is necessary to continue the study, because the study results of growth hormone and IGF-1 are various by training method, intensity, nutrition.
Background: The purpose of this study was to identify factors associated with recurrent pneumothorax after wedge resection in primary spontaneous pneumothorax in our hospital. Material and Method: Two hundred thirty-five consecutive patient (98% males; mean age, $23.9{\pm}4.5$ years) who had undergone video-assisted thoracoscopic surgery (VATS) were reviewed retrospectively. The two groups were divided as follows: group A, non-recurrent patients (225 patients [96%]); and group B, recurrent group (10 patients [4%]); the risk factors were compared between the two groups. The single and multiple factors that influenced the recurrence rate were analyzed using Cox's proportional hazard model. Result: There were no significant differences between the recurrent and non-recurrent groups in terms of gender, smoking, site of recurrence, degree of collapse, operative time, and number or weight of resected bullae. The recurrence rate was significantly more common in the following: younger ages, increased height/weight ratio, longer initial air leakage period, and shorter duration of chest drainage. Early aggressive exercise (<30 days) of patients after wedge resection increased the tendency for recurrence. Conclusion: Thoracoscopic wedge resection does not have a higher recurrence rate than open thoracotomy. However, young age, height/weight ratio, continuous air, and duration of chest tube placement were risk factors for a recurrent pneumothorax.
Based on the study, the issues and trends in the current functional sandal designs on the same product line will be examined for the future developments for the functional sandals and the results were obtained as follows. First, the sandals must have a high front heel with wide floors that meet the ground. Second, the preference for the chromatic colour is stronger than the achromatic colors. Third, the sandals must be designed in curves in terms of the height and shape of the heels and design must consider the shoe's balance. Fourth, the product must appear big to provide a sense of stability. However, the sandals must not be designed too big to make them look crude or cause inconvenience while exercising. Fifth, the sandals must not be designed in too complex ways. This study has investigated and analyzed the external design of functional sandals and the user reviews on the actual sandals were not done. Through more detailed studies, the diversity in the design of functional sandals must be south and Korea's competitive edge in the industry and design must be secured for the future.
