Development of Reliability Simulator for Electronic Components (전자부품 통합 신뢰성 Simulator 개발)

  • The reliability, that is Long-Term Quality, require an approaching different from Short-Term Quality which is used before. As the electronic components are able to be easily normalized on the reliability testing, various testing standards are used. In this study, we proposed two reliability simulator that is PoF(Physics of Failure)-based and failure rate models-based. PoF-based simulator is introduced based on CalceEP program that is created by University of Maryland. This simulator can be modified by user interface of properties and PoF models and operated on stand alone system. Failure rate models-based simulator introduced according to analyzing reliability prediction documents. Also, unified database including failure data models is built from existing MIL-HDBK-217F N2, PRISM, and Bellcore, and web-based simulator is developed. The developed reliability simulator will service of the PoF model, properties, failure rate model accumulated and its data by web and internet.

A Study on the Software Standardization and Simulator Design for Efficient Reliability Test in Combat System

  • In this paper, we propose the standardization architecture and weapon-sensor simulator for efficient reliability test in combat system. To reduce man-month of reliability test, application with high dependency on other module is selected and apply FORM. The proposed standardization architecture extracts common, variable elements and design patterns, S.O.L.I.D principles were applied. The proposed weapon-sensor simulator implements essential functions by identifying highly dependent element of other modules and the information from equipment can be directly received without processing by using communication middleware. As a result, it can replace actual ship-mounted equipment. In addition, it is possible to reduce the consumption rate of human resources when perform reliability test and modification time can be shorted.

Reliability of the Ubiquitous Home-Based Simulator Developed for the Eerror Control (유비쿼터스 홈 기반의 신뢰성 제공을 위한 오류 제어 시뮬레이터 개발)

  • Ubiquitous environment is expected to be result of researches and studies in ubiquitous home base on. However, because of the complexity of the ubiquitous home base on, the realization of error handling seems impossible. In this paper, we present how to detect and recover from these errors for the Ubiquitous Home utilizing a fault simulator developed for the study and through a variety of experiments, results were discussed and analyzed. Base on the said results, future works are also discussed.

  • The purpose of this paper is to investigate the current technical status and future prospects regarding helicopter simulators. In the introduction section, we briefly summarize the concept of the simulator and the development history of helicopter simulators. In the main section, the development status of helicopter simulation technology is first presented and the FAA/EASA certification is then introduced as a verification method for the reliability evaluation of the developed simulator technology. In addition, several issues that need to be resolved along with future development directions are discussed to improve the reliability of helicopter flight simulator.

  • In railway systems, it is common to obtain train location information through an infrastructure-based train detection system. However, this system has a problem that may provide incorrect location information due to non-detection and erroneous detection, which may cause an accident. Therefore, in this study, we propose a method of providing train location information using a sensor-based integrated navigation system. In order to provide accurate information; however, the reliability of the integrated navigation system must be verified. Therefore, in this paper, we develop a simulator that can generate a reference trajectory and sensor data based on the real trajectory and analyze the performance of the integrated navigation system according to various scenarios on the real trajectory.

Development and its Validation of Sky Simulator Facilities for Daylighting Evaluation (자연채광 성능평가용 인공천공돔(Sky Simulator)의 개발 및 신뢰성 검증)

  • For the evaluating daylighting performance, field measurement, scale model test and a set of computer tools can be applied. For the scale model measurements, the sky simulator is a vital facility to represent the desired sky conditions consistently. Recently K university has developed a large size sky simulator, 6m-diameter and 3.7m-height, that is suitable for the international standard. To verify the reliability of the sky simulator, the luminance distribution on the inner sky surface was measured and compared with the CIE standard overcast sky model. It is found that the sky simulator can be reproduced the CIE standard overcast sky condition with 4.3% as mean difference. K university sky simulator is fully validated for usability and accuracy for daylighting researches.

  • 자연채광 성능평가의 연구 방법으로는 현장측정, 축소모형실험, 수학적 알고리즘에 기초한 컴퓨터 시뮬레이션 등이 있다. 현장측정과 축소모형실험은 비교적 높은 신뢰도를 얻을 수 있는 방법이지만, 변화가 많은 자연광의 특성으로 인해 객관성 있는 측정결과를 얻는 것에 제한적이었다. 인공천공돔(Sky Simulator, Artificial Sky Dome)은 축소모형 실험 시 이러한 문제점의 보완을 위한 평가 시설이며 천공의 상태를 일관성 있게 조정함으로써 보다 객관성 있는 자연채광연구를 실시할 수 있다. 이에 따라 K대학에서는 직경 6[m], 높이 3.7[m]의 인공천공돔을 자체 개발 제작하여 연구에 사용하고 있다. 본 연구에서는 인공천공돔 기존사례에 대한 고찰과 이를 바탕으로 제작된 K대학 인공천공돔의 개요를 소개하고 기본적인 물리량 측정을 통해 인공천공돔의 신뢰성을 검증하고 유용성을 제시하였다.

  • 전력 계통현상 분석장치(DFR)에서 시각동기에 대한 중요성이 부각됨에 따라 장치의 시각동기가 중요하게 대두되고 있다. 본 연구내용에서 보여주고자 하는 DFR TimeSync Simulator는 GPS 수신기로부터 IRIG-B 신호와 1PPS 신호를 수신하여 계통현상 분석장치의 사고발생 이벤트를 위한 절대시각을 제공하는 장치이다. 이 절대시각은 계통현상 분석장치의 정밀성 및 품질을 검증하는데 적용한다. 그리고 개발된 Simulator가 정확한 1PPS 신호를 산출해 내는지를 검증하기 위해 GPS 수신기의 1PPS 신호와 Simulator에서 출력되는 1PPS 신호의 파형을 비교 실험하여 정확도 및 신뢰성을 확인하였다.

  • In this paper, design, development and evaluation of DIP(Database Interface Program) are presented. The main purpose of this study is to improve the simulation quality to get more realistic response of target system. The designed and developed major function is composed of flexible memory structure, efficient arithmetic database language and high speed interpolation/extrapolation algorithm. To evaluate the operation speed and accuracy of returned data, trim simulation is performed based on in-house software and, DIP is applied to existing real-time simulator such as engineering HQS(Handling Quality Simulator) to evaluate reliability and performance. The result of evlaution reveals that calculation speed and data accuracy are satisfied, and flight performance is satisfied in the real-time simulator environments.

  • This paper proposes a novel simulator which is capable of loading different modules enabling to update the simulator easily when the 4G mobile communication technologies are revised. This simulator is not only designed based on IMT-Advanced channel model but also confirmed its reliability through mutual verification with Matlab based simulator developed by Winner+. The proposed simulator was evaluated on the basis of evaluation requirements on the IMT-Advanced. By comparing with experimental results for IEEE and 3GPP, it was also proved for the simulator to have a better performance.
