Reliability Analysis of Ship′s Longitrdinal Strength for the Rational Ship Structural Design (선박구조설계 합리화를 위한 선체 종강도의 신뢰성 해석)

  • The application of the reliability analysis is investigated as a probabilistic approach to the assessment of ship's structural strength and to the establishment of design format for longitudinal strength. Reliability analyses are carried out for 34 ships of tankers and bulk carriers built in HHI for some failure modes such as tensile yielding, compressive buckling and ultimate strength of hull girder. The safety assessment of each ship, the calculation of sensitivity factors and the derivation of target reliability index are performed. As results. the difference of reliability indices among ships is great for all modes. To provide more uniform levels of safety the establishment of new strength criteria using partial safety factors is performed. The partial safety factors for the design format are obtained according to the AFOSM method and the reliability-conditioned(RC) method. Finally, a design format using partial safety factors has been proposed. We could find out that new strength criteria can produce consistent reliability indices which are close to the target value.

  • 본 연구에서는 연성손실계수가 구조물의 진동에 미치는 영향을 살펴보았다. 세부시스템의 두께가 동일할 경우 평판으로 이루어진 구조물이 접수되면 연성손실계수가 감소하게 된다. 특히, 저주파수 대역에서 연성손실계수가 크게 낮아졌다. 그 주된 원인은 접수로 인해 평판에서 전파되는 굽힘파의 그룹속도가 줄어들기 때문이며, 접수로 인한 파워투과계수의 변화는 크지 않았다. 내부에 격벽을 가진 steel box에 공기중 연성손실계수와 접수시 연성손실계수를 적용하여 세부시스템의 속도를 구한 결과, 공기중 연성손실계수를 이용하여 구한 속도가 접수시 연성손실계수를 이용하여 구한 속도보다 약 2-3 dB정도 높게 나타났다. 선박과 같은 복잡한 구조물인 경우 연성손실계수에 의한 속도 차이는 더욱 커질 것으로 추정된다. 따라서, SEA를 이용한 접수 구조물의 진동해석에서 해석오차를 줄이기 위해서는 연성손실계수에 접수의 영향을 고려해 주어야 함을 확인하였다. 특히, 접수효과가 고려된 연성손실계수를 사용하면 SEA가 큰 오차를 보이는 중, 저주파수 대역에서 해석 결과에 대한 신뢰성을 높일 것으로 판단된다.

  • Recently, the importance of investigation for soft ground has been raised, so that various techniques of the investigation for soft ground are being introduced and applied. In particular, Piezocone penetration test has been utilized frequently home and abroad to identify many features of grounds precisely and gain various results in accordance with dividing strata and depth constantly by measuring continuously. In this study, to identify some features of soft clays distributed in the estuary of Nakdong river, researchers conducted field tests and laboratory tests with boring tests, and analyzed and compared with Piezocone penetration test. In addition, credible Piezocone factor of communities of subjects for this study was estimated to analyze some features of undrained shear strength of clay and calculate Piezocone factor compared with corrected cone resistance and apply some statistical techniques to estimated Piezocone factor.

  • Since the mechanical properties of the rubber connectors used in the vehicle structures are sensitive on the dynamic characteristics of the system, they must be exactly evaluated. In this paper, both finite deformation theory and Hookean model are considered to calculate the stiffness coefficients of rubber connectors. An expert system is developed by using finite element method. When the equivalent stiffness coefficients on the same kinds of isolators used in actual vehicles were emperically examined, the results were largely dispersed due to the lack of the quality control on the material properties. To compensate the errors caused by the mathematical modeling and the mechanical properties, a practical method which identifies the shear and bulk moduli of rubber with the experimented overall force-deformation curves is suggested and applied to the engine isolators of vehicle.

  • 본 연구에서는 SWAT 모형에서 모의된 토양수분의 신뢰성을 판단하기 위해 MODIS NDVI의 활용성을 파악하고자 하였다 MODIS 위성영상을 이용하여 시간해상도 16일, 공간해상도 250m의 NDVI를 추출하였으며, 대상유역은 면적이 약 $6661.3km_2$ 이고 그 중 산림이 약 82.2%를 차지하고 있는 충주댐 유역으로 하였다. 보다 신뢰성 있는 자료를 얻기 위해 토양, 토지이용 등 유역의 특성이 다른 상류와 하류로 나누어 다지점 검보정을 수행하였으며, 2003년부터 2006년까지의 유출 자료를 이용하여 모형을 보정하고, 2000, 2001 그리고 2002년에 대하여 검증하였다. 검보정 결과 모형 효율성 계수는 상류와 하류에 대하여 각각 0.91, 0.87, 결정계수는 각각 0.90, 0.80으로 분석되었다. 분석 기간은 2000년부터 2006년까지이고, NDVI의 특성에 따라 봄기간과 가을기간으로 나누어 분석하였으며, 선형회귀 방적식과 결정계수를 이용하여 상관성을 판단하였다. 분석결과 SWAT에서 모의된 토양수분과 MODTS NDVI는 약 55%의 상관성을 나타내었고, 가뭄해인 2001년에 약 85%로 상관성이 매우 높고, 비가 많이 온 해인 2002년에 약 2%로 상관성이 매우 낮아 NDVI는 가뭄 기간 SWAT에서 모의된 토양수분의 신뢰성을 검증할 수 있는 자료로 사용될 수 있다고 판단되었다.

Development of a Perception of Importance on Patient Safety Management Scale (PI-PSM)for Hospital Employee (병원 의료종사자의 환자안전관리 중요성 인식 측정도구 개발)

  • The purpose of this study was to develop a perception of importance on patient safety management scale (PI-PSM) for Hospital Employee. The PI-PSM was developed and vallidated as follows: item generation, vertification of content validity, pilot study, and test of validity and reliability. In order to verify preliminary instrument, data was collected from 280 hospital employees. Data were analyzed by Varimax factor analysis and Cronbach's ${\alpha}$. There were 21 items in final instrument categorized into 4 factors as 'concern about patient safety management (7 items)', 'confidence about patient safety management (5 items)', 'will for patient safety management (5 items)', and 'recognition about patient safety management (4 items)'. The total varience explanined was 60.4%. The internal consistency, Cronbach's ${\alpha}$. was .86, and reliability of the sucscales ranged from .69 to .87. The results of this study may useful to assess the perception of importance on patient safety management.

Study of Reliability Index in Concrete Structures Considering Coefficient of Variation of Degradation Factors (열화인자별 변동계수 변화에 따른 콘크리트 구조물의 신뢰성 지수에 관한 연구)

  • Recently, a variety of researches has been carried out to estimate the reliability-based analysis and design method of concrete structures and is attracted by probabilistic-based durability analysis/method of concrete structures subjected to chloride containing environment using MCS (Monte Carlo Simulation). Probabilistic-based durability analysis/method was proposed by lots of researches, but there is the lack of data for degradation factors for the calculation of probability distribution. The reliability based durability analysis method represents that the service life and reliability index varies with the probability distribution and coefficient of variation of each factor. Therefore, in this paper, the importance of experiment data for the degradation factors is confirmed and the study of reliability index in RC structures under chloride attack environments is performed considering the variation coefficient of degradation factors.

  • In medical practice and research, the problem of assessing reliability between two or more quantitative measures is quite common. Intraclass correlation coefficient(ICC) is commonly used to scale of reliability. Some methods were developed to calculate the required number of subjects, raters or replicates in one-way or two-way random ANOVA models. This paper, studies and compares the performance of four methods such as Walter et al. (1998), Giraudeau and Mary (2001), Saito et al. (2006) and Bonett (2002). In order to compare the efficiency of methods we compare the number of subjects, replicates and the width of confidence interval of ICC needed for some specific ICC values. In the case of subject size, Giraudeau's method is the best. In case of the number of replicates, Saito's method was superior to others. The width of confidence interval of ICC was narrower for Giraudeau's method than any others.

  • Shear wave velocity (or shear modulus) of rock filled zone of CFRD is very important factor in the evaluation of performance of CFRD under the load such as earthquake. A shear wave velocity profile can be determined by surface wave method but this profile has been uncertainty caused by spatial variation of material property in rock filled zone. This uncertainty in shear wave velocity profile could be evaluated by the reliability based analysis which uses a coefficient of variation of material property to consider uncertainty caused by spatial variation of material property. In this paper, the possible 600 shear wave velocity profiles in rock filled zone of CFRD were generated using the method based on harmonic wavelet transform and 8 shear wave velocity profiles by HWAW method in the field, and the coefficients of variation of shear wave velocity with depth were evaluated for the rock filled zone of CFRD in Korea.

  • The inverse algorithm of Point-Fitted Paraboloid Approximation is derived and used in reliability-based calculations. The algorithm of Reliability- Conditioned method is modified in the calculation of failure points such that nonlinear performance functions can be treated in like manner as linear cases without new formulations. SOSM/RC combined method results in probability of failure closed to specified one, and partial safety factors become nearly constant for a wide range of load ratio.
