A Study on Development ATCS of Transfer Crane using Neural Network Predictive Control (신경회로망 예측제어에 의한 Transfer Crane의 ATCS개발에 관한 연구)

  • Recently, an automatic crane control system is required with high speed and rapid transportation. Therefore, when container is transferred from th intial coordinate to the finial coordinate, the container paths should be built in terms of the least time and no swing. So in this paper, we calculated the anti-collision path for avoiding collision in its movement to the finial coordinate. And we constructed the neural network predictive PID (NNPPID) controller to control the precise navigation. The proposed predictive control system is composed of the neural network predictor, PID controller, neural network self-tuner which yields parameters of PID. Analyzed crane system through simulation, and proved excellency of control performance than other conventional controllers.

  • 예측신경회로망 모델은 다층 퍼셉트론을 연속되는 음성특징 벡터간의 비선형예측기로 사용하는 동적인 음성인식 모델이다. 이 모델은 음성의 동적인 특성을 인식에 이용하고 연속음성인식으로의 확장이 용이한 우수한 인식 모델이다. 그러나, 예측신경회로망 모델은 음운학적으로 유사한 음성구간에서의 변별력이 낮다는 문제점이 있다. 그것은 기존의 학습 알고리즘이 다른 어휘와의 거리는 고려하지 않고 대상어휘의 예측오차만 최소화시키기 때문이다. 따라서, 본 논문에서는 직접 인식오차를 최소화시키는 GPD알고리즘에 의해 유사어휘간의 거리를 고려하는 변별력있는 학습 알고리즘을 제안한다.

Short-Term Load Forecasting of Transformer Using Artificial Neural Networks (신경회로망을 이용한 변압기의 단기부하예측)

  • In this paper, the short-term load forecasting of transformers is performed by artificial neural networks. Input parameters of the proposed algorithm are peak loads of pole-transformer of previous days and their maximum and minimum temperatures. The proposed algorithm is tested for one of transformers in Seoul, Korea. Test results show that the proposed algorithm improves the accuracy of the load forecasting of transformer compared with the conventional algorithm. The reposed algorithm can help to prevent some damages by over-loads of transformers.

  • 본 연구에서는 다중채널 뇌파에서 특징 파라미터로 선형 예측기 계수(Linear predictor coefficients)를 추출하고, 패턴인식기로는 신경회로망을 이용한 쾌적성 분류 알고리즘을 개발하여 다중 템플릿 방법으로 쾌적성 분류 실험을 하고자 하였다. 뇌파 데이터는 대학생 10명으로부터 쾌적한 환경과 불쾌적한 환경에서의 데이터를 수집하였으며, 전극 위치는 Fpl, Fp2, F3, F4, T3, T4, P3, P4, O1, O2를 사용하였다. 수집된 뇌파는 전처리를 거친 후 특징 파라미터를 추출하고 패턴 분류기로 사용된 신경회로망의 입력으로 사용하였다. 쾌적성 분류 방법은 다중템플릿 방법으로 여러 명의 피검자를 각각 학습시켜 이로부터 생성되는 신경회로망의 가중치들을 템플릿에 저장한다. 그리고 테스트를 할 때에는 먼저 처음의 안정 상태의 뇌파를 이용하여 템플릿 검색을 하고 가장 가까운 템플릿을 선택한다. 그리고 선택된 템플릿을 이용하여 다른 감정에 대한 쾌적성 분류 실험을 하게 된다. 쾌적성 분류 실험 결과 평균 인식률이 약 75%의 성능을 나타내었다.

  • In this paper, we proposed the cell multiplexer using Hopfield neural network and the bandwidth predictor using the backpropagation neural network in order to make an accurate call setup decision. The cell multiplexer controls heterogeneous traffic and the bandwidth predictor estimates minimum bandwidth which satisfies traffic's QoS and maximizes throughput in network. Also, a novel connection admission controller decides on connection setup using the predicted bandwidth from bandwidth predictor and available bandwidth in networks. And then, we proposed a fuzzy traffic policer, when traffic sources violate the contract, takes an appropriate action and aim proved traffic shaper, which controls burstness which is one of key characteristics in multimedia traffic. We simulated the proposed controller. Simulation results show that the proposed controller outperforms existing controller.

  • In this paper, a time-delay problem of a tele-operated control system is investigated and compensated by neural network. The smith predictor requires an exact system model to deal with a time-delay in the system. To compensate for modeling errors in the configuration of the Smith predictor, a neural network approach is presented. Based on forming the Smith predictor structure, the radial basis function(RBF) neural network estimator is used. Simulation and experimental studies are conducted to show the functionality of the proposed method.

  • In this paper, we propose a feed identification method using neural network to predict feed in crude distillation unit. The proposed FINN(feed identifier by neural network) is functionally composed of two modes-training mode and prediction mode. Also, we implement a neural network-based soft sensor system using Borland C++(3.0) Builder. The effectiveness of the proposed neural network-based feed identification method is shown by simulation results.

A Study on Bagging Neural Network for Predicting Defect Size of Steam Generator Tube in Nuclear Power Plant (원전 증기발생기 세관 결함 크기 예측을 위한 Bagging 신경회로망에 관한 연구)

  • In this paper, we studied Bagging neural network for predicting defect size of steam generator(SG) tube in nuclear power plant. Bagging is a method for creating an ensemble of estimator based on bootstrap sampling. For predicting defect size of SG tube, we first generated eddy current testing signals for 4 defect patterns of SG tube with various widths and depths. Then, we constructed single neural network(SNN) and Bagging neural network(BNN) to estimate width and depth of each defect. The estimation performance of SNN and BNN were measured by means of peak error. According to our experiment result, average peak error of SNN and BNN for estimating defect depth were 0.117 and 0.089mm, respectively. Also, in the case of estimating defect width, average peak error of SNN and BNN were 0.494 and 0.306mm, respectively. This shows that the estimation performance of BNN is superior to that of SNN.

  • 본 논문은 확률특성을 갖는 네트워크 기반 제어시스템(NCS; Networked Control Systems)을 위하여 동적 베이시안 네트워크(DBN; Dynamic Bayesian Networks)와 신경회로망 기법을 이용한 지능제어기법을 제안한다. 신경회로망은 시변 시간지연을 갖는 비선형 시스템의 실시간 오차를 보상하기 위한 제어기의 최적화에 적용된다. 모듈화 신경회로망이 구성되며 이것은 제어기의 파라미터를 출력한다 가장 간단한 DBN 구조인 마코브 체인(MC; Markov Chain)이 구성되며 NCS의 랜덤 관측값을 모델링에 적용되며 예측 제어기의 구성에 또한 사용된다. 제안한 제어기법은 위성시스템의 자세제어에 적용하여 컴퓨터 시뮬레이션을 통해 성능을 검증하였다.

  • Recently, an automatic crane control system is required with high speed and rapid transportation. During the operation of crane system in container yard it is necessary to control the crane trolley position and loop length so that the swing of the hanging container is minimized We can do development of unmanned automation control system using automation travel control technique and anti-sway technique in crane system. Therefore, we designed a controller for Automation travel control to control the transfer crane system. Analyzed crane system through simulation, and proved excellency of control performance than other conventional controllers.
