To determine the flood protection elevation (FPE) in urban built-up areas, this study examines four possible methods: using the highest flood elevation in the past, extending base flood elevations of nearby watercourse to inland, and two simulation methods of inland flood under the same rainfall used in the watercourse planning nearby. According to the case study of the Jang-An Drainage Area, Seoul, the highest flood elevation in the past and simulation results of inland flood under the same rainfall in the watercourse planning nearby tend to get similar results, while extending base flood elevations of nearby watercourse to inland shows much higher elevations than other results. Meanwhile, cost-benefit analysis, when regulating residential/commercial uses below the FPE by each of four methods, suggest that planners need to consider carefully the economic feasibility of FPE used to choose appropriate methods.
Smart home is a technology for monitoring and controlling all the information about a house by integrating various home applications like cooling, heating, lighting, kitchen and security systems into a network. Although home appliances have become more convenient to use due to the development of smart home technology, they are also more vulnerable to information security hazards. Unauthorized visitors may have access to any of home appliance to arbitrarily control it or acquire information. This causes serious privacy and security problems, which should be solved to further smart home technology. This present paper proposed a dynamic user access control system for privacy protection in smart homes. The proposed system defines the role of a user of smart home services by automatically identifying the status information of the user and dynamically controls the access range for the service. In this way, the privacy of a user can be protected and the inter-smart device service is effectively provided. Consequently, the proposed dynamic user access control for smart home will improve the security service for protecting privacy in smart home devices.
This study aims to find out the effectiveness of regulation of promotional gifts and exemption of charges by analyzing the judgement criterion of illegality and the corrective action taken by regulatory agencies and suggests effective way of regulation. The results show that recently the differences of price-cut is getting bigger. In addition, Fair Trade Commission has considered discounts as unfair predatory price only if price is below the cost. But in the telecommunication business law enacted by Korea Communications Commission, 'expected profits per subscriber' has been applied as a key criterion. KCC's criterion is based not on the expected profit of individual service provider but on the averaged profit of services providers. It doesn't consider differences of service quality and the cost structure between dominant firm and late comers. Prohibition act of user discrimination result in the increase of subscriber and operating profits of late comers but this is not direct purpose of regulation. It can be desirable in the aspect of fair competition but since it may reduce consumer welfare, the criterion needs to be reconsidered.

The purpose of information system audit is to proactively identify and efficiently manage all risk factors that may arise during the process of constructing an information system, in order to assist in achieving the objectives of information system development. However, there is currently significant dissatisfaction with the quality and effectiveness of the auditing process, leading to ongoing research aimed at finding effective solutions. In this paper, we propose a multi-level evaluation model to enhance mutual understanding between auditors and evaluators and present a model that undergoes a maturity process, improving its levels and stages. We introduce a maturity-based evaluation model platform, enabling efficient communication between auditors and evaluators, allowing for real-time feedback, and supplementing it through continuous search. By presenting this multi-level model aimed at maturing the entire system, we aim to efficiently manage the system development process.
The purpose of this is to make sure what the scholar of the Choseon thought the object of aesthetics, and which psychological element did they use to clear the center of the aesthetics. In addition, I consider their way to recognize the human's aesthetic point of view. A literary man in Choseon regarded the five senses as an obstacle which interrupted to see the nature of all things. So they set up the spiritual condition as their aesthetic subject, with suppressing the pleasure through five senses. The goal to make one's mind calm was to cause someone's spirit to activate freely. The condition of the calmness was considered as a process of recovering the human's natural spirit, which was connected to the poetic spirit and became the aesthetic subject. Simultaneously, a literary man at that time set up the condition of the calmness as a subject of objective consciousness, and estimated the common things as a objective existence, which led to the result that all the materials of the poem and the poet could be unified. This aesthetic centra put a premium on the senses caused by contacting with all natural things, and adopted the 'Xing' as a method of expression. This 'Xing' is not a sense based upon one's experience, but a sense which is created of itself. The expression method of 'Xing' caused the reader to feel and express, encourage, and sublimate what they feel through the poem, as well as purified reader's mind.
The elderly in the Joseon Dynasty consistently attracted attention from the national herb as objects of social respect. Based on the Confucian ideology, the old man was considered to be a receiving body, since he was a person with complete character as a man. The elderly, who have the character of being a slave, transcended their status, and both the souls and the people were transcended beyond their identities and attributes and became objects of respect. The perception of the elderly is divided by age. The persons who are 50 years old and start to be in physical decline were regarded as senior citizens. However, this was just mentioned as an inflection point between the prime of manhood and senior citizens and was not defined as the elderly. As a public duty called a national work ends when they are 60 years old, the age is truly the lowest limit of senior citizens who are applicable to all the social beings. However, because their public duties end when they are 60 years old and they were regarded as general members of society, special benefits were not granted to them. In the caste system and bureaucratic society, senior citizens' treatment were differently done by age. For the senior citizens who are 70 years old, various benefits were just granted to high government officials. Bokho(復戶) and Seojeong were first given to them. And the retirement age of government officials was not specially set. It was done in the way to treat Jonno with exceptional respect by Chisa(致仕: regular retirement). It is the most respectful treatment given to high government officials and ministers. For the senior citizens who are 80 years old, Yangnoyeon(養老宴) was held for both of Yangmin and Cheonmin as an measure to treat them considerately. In addition, official ranks(官品) with social value were allowed by giving them Noinjik (老人職). Official ranks given to Seoin and Cheonin were the best Jonno(尊老) policy. However, the Jonno policy related to senior citizens was different according to position and official ranks as follows: Kings were subjected to social treatment when they were 60 years old. High government officials and royal relatives of the senior grade of the second court rank were subjected to social treatment when they were 70 years old. And general Seoin and slaves were subjected to social treatment when they were respectively 80 and 90 years old. Senior citizens were individually supported. However, social value was granted because the nation supervised it. As Bokho and Sijeong were assigned according to position and official ranks and kinds of things were different, the social limit was clearly shown. Social order was put above the ideology called Jonno thought. However, Jonno acts by age and position did not stay at the individual level and the nation took care of the senior citizens who are the members of society in various ways based on Jonno thought. Society tried to take care of the senior citizens who had difficulties in their activities because of being in physical decline. The nation increased the existence value of the senior citizens by giving things(賜物) including chairs, rice, meat, and ice economically, exoneration(免罪), the reduction system, and wergild legally, and Noinjik called Gaja(加資) socially to them and changing them to the members of society. Yangnoyeon and Gaja held targeting people of every class by transcending position and official ranks make the point that the senior citizens who are more than 80 years old are subject to social jonno clear. That is, the senior citizens were subject to respect for the elderly as the persons who were socially respected transcending their position when they got to be 80 years old.
The purpose of this study was to evaluate microbiologically cooking utensils, equipment employees, and environment in 12 large Korean, Western, Chinese, and Japanese restaurant. Microbiological testing was conducted for pathogens including E. coli, Samolnella, L. monocytogenes, S. aureus, E. coli O157:H7, V. parahaemolyticus, B. cereus, and Y. enterocolitica as well as total plate count and coliforms. The results showed cooking water and drinking water in some Korean restaurants and drinking water in some Western and Japanese restaurants were unsatisfactory, especially, barley tea, which was cooled after being boiled, was unsatisfactory. Most cooking utensils such as knives, cutting boards, kitchen towels, tongs, and basket had total plate and coliforms count in excess of standards, and knives and cutting boards at some Chinese restaurant had E. coli. At some restaurant, S. aureus was found on some food worker's hands. Also, the total plate count of the air showed a high count around worktables, inside the refrigerator, and in the kitchen in most restaurants. These result suggest that sanitation needs improvement in the environments in these foodservice establishment.
This study analyzes the early satellite mission marine fog detection results from Geostationary Ocean Color Imager-II (GOCI-II). We investigate optical characteristics of the GOCI-II spectral bands for marine fog between October 2020 and March 2021 during the overlapping mission period of Geostationary Ocean Color Imager (GOCI) and GOCI-II. For Rayleigh-corrected reflection (Rrc) at 412 nm band available for the input of the GOCI-II marine fog algorithm, the inter-comparison between GOCI and GOCI-II data showed a small Root Mean Square Error (RMSE) value (0.01) with a high correlation coefficient (0.988). Another input variable, Normalized Localization Standard (NLSD), also shows a reasonable correlation (0.798) between the GOCI and GOCI-II data with a small RMSE value (0.007). We also found distinctive optical characteristics between marine fog and clouds by the GOCI-II observations, showing the narrower distribution of all bands' Rrc values centered at high values for cloud compared to marine fog. The GOCI-II marine fog detection distribution for actual cases is similar to the GOCI but more detailed due to the improved spatial resolution from 500 m to 250 m. The validation with the automated synoptic observing system (ASOS) visibility data confirms the initial reliability of the GOCI-II marine fog detection. Also, it is expected to improve the performance of the GOCI-II marine fog detection algorithm by adding sufficient samples to verify stable performance, improving the post-processing process by replacing real-time available cloud input data and reducing false alarm by adding aerosol information.

In order to prevent local extinction of organisms and to preserve biodiversity, it is important to ensure connectivity between habitats. Even if the habitat is exposed to various disturbance factors, it is possible to avoid or respond to disturbances if they are linked to other habitats. Habitat connectivity can be assessed from a variety of perspectives, but the importance of functional connectivity based on species movement has been emphasized in recent years due to the development of computational capabilities and related software. Among them, Circuitscape, which is a connectivity evaluation tool, has an advantage it can provide detailed reference data for the city planning because it maps ecological flows on individual grid based on circuit theory. Therefore, in this study, the functional connectivity of Suwon was evaluated by applying Circuitscape and then, the ecological corridor to be conserved and supplemented was suggested based on it. The results of this study are expected to effectively complement the methodology related ecological corridor/axis, which was previously provided only in the form of a diagram, and to be effective in management of development project and urban planning.

Under the Act amended on August 4, 2011, a special fire-fighting investigation was conducted by the relevant person (owner, manager, oil refineries), and the responsibility was also given to the relevant person. Instead of directly entering all existing fire-fighting targets and investigating the maintenance and management status of fire-fighting facilities, the fire-fighting agency selects and visits some targets every year, checks the maintenance and management status of fire-fighting facilities, corrects them, and imposes fines, etc. Reasons for the introduction of the system were the establishment of a private autonomous correction system by strengthening the responsibility of officials, lack of firefighting professionals, possible corruption due to frequent public contact, and responsibility of fire agencies. However, many problems arose even after the introduction of a special fire investigation system. A special fire investigation, one of the fire safety systems, checks whether related public officials and especially fire officials are properly installed, maintained and managed in accordance with relevant laws. Special firefighting investigations were introduced as firefighting inspections at the time the firefighting law was enacted in 1958, and have undergone a revised process more than 30 times until recently. Firefighting Facility Installation, Maintenance and Safety Management Act", the existing firefighting inspection was changed to a special firefighting investigation and accepted. At the time of enactment of the Fire Service Act in 1958, a special firefighting investigation was introduced as a firefighting inspection, and until recently, more than 30 revisions have been made. In 2003, as the existing fire fighting system was divided into four laws, it was approved by changing the existing fire fighting inspection to a special fire fighting investigation in the "Fire Fighting Facility Installation, Maintenance and Safety Management Act".
