Measuring Unemployment Durations of Different Types of Workers (실업지속기간의 측정모형)

  • This paper aims to build a model of unemployment duration, in which each type of unemployment duration can be defined as a function of other exogenous variables. Recently, the so-called mismatch in the labor market has become a big issue in most countries. It is very obvious that 'mismatch' is deeply related to the long duration of unemployment status. Two problems may be head and tail of the same coin. Employing a simple analysis of Markov stochastic process, the model of unemployment duration developed here is useful for seeing the effects of shocks on unemployment duration. The model allows us to distinguish the determinants of different kinds of unemployment and to identify the nature of unemployment duration.

  • This study provides an empirical analysis of box office performance for animation movies released in Korea between 2003 and 2008. Two dependent variables are both the number of audiences in the whole country and the number of audiences in Seoul. Such independent variables are employed : power of distributors, the number of screens, release time, sequel/remake, awards, film ratings, nationality, online reviews, and critics' reviews. For the total number of audiences in the whole country, significant variables are the number of screens, the power of USA distributors, Summer release, and online reviews. Since there is no analysis for box office performance for animation movies released in Korean theaters, this study will be considered to be meaningful.

  • The SMS(Short Message Service) in Mobile phone is a service that a text message by 80byte is transmitted and received. Recently it's used instead of voice calls. In this paper, We investigate how you take advantage of the SMS for searching information without simply as a means of voice call, and how much efficiency does the SMS have in Location Information Retrieval Services on LBS(Location-based service). Based on the previous topics, we design the information retrieval system using SMS for solveing the rates issue by existing wireless Internet access, and propose the possibility as new forms of content services.

  • The characteristic of mutant has long history, which is shown in various science fictions. There are different types and characters like Satyrs from Ancient Greek to superheroes in present. In fact, however, mutant as a cultural content has not been discussed sufficiently in Korea, even if related analyses were required indeed. In the thesis the characteristic and types of 'Homo Mutant' will be introduced and analyzed in many aspects and look for the reason why 'Homo Mutant' can be revealed and apply for further possibilities.

  • Character of emoticon is considered suitable for expressivity in the digital era mixing and using contents of conversation with images in the course of having a talk with the other party in the mobile space. For the foregoing, this study carried out multiple regression analysis having factors of character attribute such as awareness, friendliness, self-expressivity and image differentiation as independent variables, and purchase intention of purchasers as a dependent variable. Analysis results show that awareness and image differentiation had a positive influence on the purchase intention, whereas friendliness and self-expressivity exerted no significant influence on the purchase intention.

  • 최근 몇 년 사이에 인터넷(Internet) 공간상에서 거래되는 선박매매 사이트의 출현으로 인하여 사이버해운거래 시장이 형성되고 있다. 인터넷은 다양한 정보제공자에 의해 광범위한 분야의 정보를 멀티미디어 형태로 전달한다는 점에서 매우 각광을 받고 있지만 이용자의 증가로 무수한 정보들이 걸러지지 못한 채로 Web상에 존재하게 되었다 따라서, 이러한 정보들을 체계적으로 정리하고, 이용자들의 구미에 맞게 가공된 정보의 필요성이 대두되게 되었다. 이러한 문제를 해결하기 위해서 이용자가 원하는 것을 스스로 인지하고 판단하여 요구사항을 해결해주는 '지능적 대리인' 또는 '지능을 가진 도우미'라고 일컫는 지능형 에이전트(Intelligent Agent)의 필요성이 대두되었다. 지능형 에이전트는 그 다양한 기능으로 인하여 인터넷에서 매우 중요한 요소로 자리잡게 되었다. 우리나라를 비롯해서 선진 해운국에서는 선박매매사이트를 개설하여 사이버 공간상에서 거래를 수행하고 있지만, 사이트별 등록된 선박의 수가 많지 않을 뿐 아니라 거래대상 선박의 표현 방식도 사이트별 국가별로 매우 달라, 선박 매매 시 충분한 매매대상 선박정보를 획득하기 어려운 실정이다. 본 연구는 선박매매 시 고객에게 매매 선박정보를 제공해주는 선박매매용 에이전트 설계를 목표로 하고 있다. Bargainfinder, Bargainboat, Shopboat, Price watch 등 쇼핑몰을 대상으로 하는 비교쇼핑에이전트는 상용화되어 운영되고 있지만 선박매매용 에이전트에 관한 연구는 시도되지 않고 있다. 본 연구는 선박매매용 에이전트를 개발하기 위한 설계연구로서 다음 사항에 대한 연구가 시도되었다. (a) 구매 선박에 대한 요구사항 표현 방법 (b) 관련 선박의 표현, 등록 및 색인방법 (c) 공급 선박의 분류와 표현 방법 (d) 에이전트의 정보 수집을 위한 메시지 표현 방법 (e) 수집된 선박정보의 데이터베이스 저장 표현방법 (f) 요구 선박을 찾아주는 정보제공 서비스가 요구된다.

  • As wireless internet market grows rapidly in recent years, demands of various contents in wireless internet is significantly being increased. XHTML with extensibility that can support many kinds of internet web clients and platforms is established in world-wide standards of markup language. XHTML reforming HTML4 in XML 1.0 is recognized that It is the heart of the technology to integrate existing contents and increase the interoperability in wired and wireless internet. XHTML Basic for wireless internet are based on the XHTML. In this paper, we design and implement an document editor for XHTML Basic.'rho wireless internet document editor supports CSS creation that users can display XHTML Basic documents as they want. It also supports WYSIWYG editing that user4 inn make out them without difficulty.

  • As the recent games industry grows slowly, the consumers come to have interests in new types of games which has different types from the conventional games. While the conventional games play with a simple interfaces such as a joystick and buttons, the new games are designed to have acceleration sensors, infrared sensors and video motion detection sensing using several types of sensors and allow users to play more actively. In this paper, we propose a method which uses the electromyogram(EMG) signals in interface.

  • Information Security industry in Korea is growing rapidly but is confronted with many challenges in business environment. One of the worst hardships is the mismatch in the demand and supply of manpower. Thus the government is developing a manpower policy to relieve the situation. To suggest policy implications, this study analyzes the demand and supply of Information Security manpower in the systematic and behavioral point of views. Using System Dynamics approach we formulate a model to analyze the demand and supply of Information Security manpower. Finally we simulate the model and interpret the results.

  • Due to the trend of opening the local market, the import of foreign agriculture is highly increased. And as the income is higher, the type of consumption is changed on the quality priority. There are agriculture brand policies taken by the government. But the similarity of brand and absence of marketing strategy is pointed as main problems. So we considered the brand image development such as a brand naming and a brand design for marketing strategy through the analysis of effect design types on brand image.
