An Advanced User-friendly Wireless Smart System for Vehicle Safety Monitoring and Accident Prevention (차량 안전 모니터링 및 사고 예방을 위한 친사용자 환경의 첨단 무선 스마트 시스템)

  • This paper presents an On-board Smart Device (OSD) for moving vehicle, based on a smooth integration of Android-based devices and a Micro-control Unit (MCU). The MCU is used for the acquisition and transmission of various vehicle-borne data. The OSD has threefold functions: Record, Report and Alarm. Based on these RRA functions, the OSD is basically a safety and convenience oriented smart device, where it facilitates alert services such as accident report and rescue as well as alarm for the status of vehicle. In addition, voice activated interface is developed for the convenience of users. Vehicle data can also be uploaded to a remote server for further access and data manipulation. Therefore, unlike conventional blackboxes, the developed OSD lends itself to a user-friendly smart device for vehicle safety: It basically stores monitoring images in driving plus vehicle data collection. Also, it reports on accident and enables subsequent rescue operation. The developed OSD can thus be considered an essential safety smart device equipped with comprehensive wireless data service, image transfer and voice activated interface.

Investigations of Vulnerable Members and Collapse Risk for System Support Based on Damage Scenarios (손상시나리오 기반 시스템 동바리 취약부재 도출 및 붕괴 위험성 분석)

  • In recent years, many construction projects become large and complicated, and construction accidents also steadily increase, which grows interest in the safety and maintenance during construction. Many of the construction accidents are related to temporary construction and structures, but the safety evaluation and management during construction are unclear and indefinite due to the short operating period and continuous change in the formation of the temporary structure. The system support, which is one of the temporary structures to support the pouring load of concrete, was proposed to easily install and dismantle members with connection parts pre-manufactured. The use of the system support is increasing to improve the safety of the temporary structure during construction. However, the system support, which consists of multiple members, still has uncertainties in connectivity between members and supports of vertical members. Therefore, this study analyzed the structure, load, and accident cases of the system support to define the damage scenarios for member connection, support condition, and lateral displacement. The decrease rate of the critical load was analyzed according to the damage scenarios based on the defined unit structure of the system support. In addition, this study provided vulnerable members for each damage scenario, which could induce instability of the temporary structures during design, construction, and operation of the structure.

  • 상수관망은 수용가에게 용수를 공급하는 사회기반시설물로, 용수를 공급하는 과정에서 관내에 이물질, 스케일 등의 생성은 불가피하다. 관로 변경, 단수로 인한 비상시 용수 공급 등의 유향 및 유속이 변화가 발생할 경우 스케일이 박리되어 적수사고 등의 수질문제가 발생 할 수 있으며, 이에 사전에 스케일을 제거 할 필요성이 있다. 스케일을 제거하기 위해서는 주기적인 관세척이 필요하며, 대표적인 공법으로는 플러싱공법이 있다. 현재까지 플러싱공법에 대한 연구는 실험을 통한 적용 권장 기준으로 진행되어 왔으나, 실제 상수관망에서 적용권장 기준을 확보하기 위한 방안에 대한 연구는 미흡한 실정이다. 플러싱공법의 대표적은 종류는 재래식 플러싱공법과 단방향 플러싱공법이 있다. 재래식 플러싱공법은 제수밸브를 조작하지 않는 방법으로, 모든 소화전에서 용수를 방출하는 공법이다. 단방향 플러싱공법은 제수밸브를 조작하여, 일정한 방향으로 요수를 방출하는 공법이다. 단방향 플러싱공법은 재래식 플러싱공법보다 유속확보 측면에서 유리하여 관로 세척을 위한 유량 및 유속 확보가 용이하다. 단방향 플러싱공법을 적용하기 위해서는 관로의 유속을 확보하기 위해 세척구역 정의하는 것이 필요하다. 이에 본 연구에서는 세척구역 정의를 통한 플러싱공법 적용 방안을 제안하고자 한다. 세척구역은 크게 3단계로 구분한다. 먼저 블록단위의 세척순서를 결정하고, 블록 내 관망 세척구역을 결정한다. 이때 관로의 관경, 곡선구간, 세척구역의 길이를 고려하여 세척구역을 정의한다. 마지막으로 결정된 세척구역을 제수밸브의 위치, 조작 횟수에 근거하여 세척순서를 결정한다. 본 연구를 통해 실제 상수관망 플러싱공법 적용 절차 수립에 기여할 수 있다.

  • Recently, the Act on the Punishment of Severe Disasters has drawn attention to the construction environment. A common way to check the safety management of the construction site is for workers to check the site with their own eyes. However, this method is inevitably affected by the limitations of workers' abilities, resulting in fatigue and reduced work efficiency. For this reason, it cannot be an efficient method. Thus, we intend to help the working environment and construction site safety through this study, by proposing an efficient ICT safety management system that can supplement the above methods. In this paper explain the design of the access management system using RFID and the field information monitoring method through noise sensors and fine dust sensors. In addition, we propose a system that can prevent accidents between heavy equipment and people with a PIR sensor, and prevent safety accidents by grasping the slope of the building being worked through a gyro sensor.

  • Industrial control systems (ICS) are increasingly targeted by security incidents as attackers' knowledge of ICS characteristics grows and their connectivity to information technology expands. Vulnerabilities related to ICS are growing rapidly, but patching all vulnerabilities in a timely manner is challenging. The common vulnerability assessment system used to patch vulnerabilities has limitations as it does not consider weaponization after discovery. To address this, this study defines criteria for classifying attacker skill levels based on open information including operating technology and vulnerability information in ICS. The study also proposes a method to evaluate vulnerability severity that reflects actual risk and urgency by incorporating the corresponding attribute in the existing severity score calculation. Case studies based on actual accidents involving vulnerabilities were conducted to confirm the effectiveness of the evaluation method in the ICS environment.

  • As electric and electronic control systems have sharply increased in vehicles, safety accident has emerged as an important issue. Therefore, in order to ensure safety of the vehicle, engineers are required to identify the hazards utilizing PHA and HAZOP, etc. in the early phase of development and implement safety mechanisms to prevent them. HAZOP has been widely used in a systematic manner based on guidewords. However, HAZOP identifies malfunctions from the top-level functionality provided by the system, so it cannot sufficiently identify hazards during the system operation. This leads to restrictions in designing testcases, because the safety requirements are derived from only some of the hazards. This research aimed to provide a hazard identification method utilizing Use case description, which defines operation procedure of the system and HAZOP and a testcase design method based on safety requirements. We introduced a case study on Smart Key Control System in vehicles and compared with hazards identification results based on HAZOP, to demonstrate the effectiveness of this study. The result of this study could potentially reduce development cost and increase system quality by adequately identifying hazards and safety requirements and designing the related testcase.

Quantification Model Development of Human Accidents on External Construction Site by Applying Probabilistic Method (확률론적 기법을 활용한 건설현장 외부 인명피해 정량화 모델 개발)

  • The researches have only conducted regarding construction safety management and risk on interior construction site(workers) and is insufficient about the exterior construction site(third party). As a result, ordinary people who were near construction sites have injured and hold a negative view when they think about the construction industry because construction industry have been exposed to them having a high accidents rate through media. In addition, the importance of industrial disaster prevention is emphasized at this point in time, the overall safety management system should be constructed with considering construction site external(third human) for improving the negative image of the construction industry among ordinary people. Therefore, the objective of this study is to develop the quantification model of human accident utilizing the insurance claim payout occurred construction site exterior(third party). In the future, it can be used as a reference for developing the safety management checklist in construction site interior exterior and development for forecasting control system of human accident.

  • 마이크로그리드는 소규모, 모듈화 된 분산전원이 배전망에 다수 보급되어 충분한 발전량을 가지고 부하에 전력을 공급하게 되며 계통사고나 정전 등에 의해 배전계통에서 분리될 때는 고립운전 혹은 독립운전(islanding operation)이 가능한 분산발전과 부하가 혼재된 하나의 독립적인 전력망으로 정의된다.[1] 본 논문은 마이크로 그리드 시스템의 의도적 독립운전 시 발전량과 부하량의 관계에 따른 계통 영향에 대해 연구하였다.

  • 최근 자동차 급발진 문제가 사회적 이슈가 되고 있다. 기본 장착품으로 자리잡은 블랙박스에 찍힌 동영상이 유포되면서 급발진으로 의심되는 영상이 속속히 등장하고 있다. 지금까지 모든 급발진은 대부분 운전자의 실수로 판결났다. 미국에서도 자동차 결함을 인정하지 않으면서도 도의상 일부 보상해준 사례가 있으나 결론에는 차이가 없었다. 본 논문에서는 기존 블랙박스 영상만으로 차량 급발진 사고유무 분석이 어려웠던 부분을 OBD-II(Onboar Diagnostic-II)에 소형블랙박스를 장착하여 운전자가 패달을 밟았는지의 유무를 판단하고, 메모리카드가 장착이 됨으로써 OBD-II의 차량 정보 및 GPS를 이용한 현재 시간, 영상 정보를 저장하여 정확한 판단을 하기위해 OBD-II 내의 블랙박스를 적용한 시스템을 제안한다.
