Fatigue Life Evaluation of Fiber Reinforced Composite Rotor Blades Considering Impact Damages (충격손상을 고려한 섬유강화 복합재 로터 블레이드의 피로수명 평가)

  • Composite rotor blades for rotorcraft have an intrinsic vulnerability to foreign object impact from its inherent structural characteristics of insufficient strength in the thickness direction, which may easily lead to internal structure damage. Therefore, defects and strength reducing effects caused by foreign object impact should be considered in fatigue evaluation of composite blades. For this purpose, the flaw tolerant safe-life and fail-safe concepts were adopted in fatigue evaluation since 1980s, and recently those concepts have been replaced by the damage tolerance concept. In this paper, the relevant standards for fatigue evaluation are analyzed focusing on fiber reinforced composite rotor blades used in rotorcraft. In addition, fatigue evaluation procedure of composite blades considering impact damages is proposed by reviewing the practices implemented through domestic development projects.

Development of Monitoring System for Real Time Maintenance of Road Beacon Light (도로 표시등 실시간 유지관리를 위한 모니터링시스템 개발)

  • Road facilities for safe driving were designed for drivers to distinguish them during day and night, but they cannot play their role when the weather becomes worse. Recently, the road facilities have been designed by using electric and electronic technology so that they can be displayed well at a long distance, but they should be replaced very often due to their frequent breakdown. So, there are many problems in traffic calming and maintenance. In this study, to solve the above problems, semi-permanent LED beacon light was installed in the area where traffic accident are frequent, and monitoring system was developed so that the LED beacon light can be maintenanced by connecting with system. For the above installation and development, system was based on window operating system and it was developed for worker to operate it by using P.C. through connecting with wireless local area network. The result of this study led to analyzing state information on the battery of field-installed LED beacon light in real time, and manegement to effectively by predicting their life cycle.

  • This research was tried for developing the model on the service science research scope. The suggested model is composed as 3 layer dimensional reference model. The first axis is on the perspective of service life cycle. Another second axis is on the service research characteristics or types. And last axis is also on the service systems. At here, service life cycle is related to service strategy, service development, and service implementation of operation. The service research characteristics or types is related to service basic research, service application research, and service convergence research. Lastly, the service systems is related to the needs analysis, service competence and service resources. This model can be applicable to include the various research topic or theme related on the service sciences. In the future, some enhanced models from researchers or practices from service providers, related on the service science research scope, are expected.

  • This research describes the ConOps(Concept of Operations) of sea-based guided weapon systems. The ConOps describes how the proposed system is to be used and is more descriptive than technical in terms of various stakeholders. It should be prepared to support the concept of the life cycle stage of the system. Developing ConOps plays an important role in ensuring that operational/maintenance, maintenance, and acquisition and development areas are better understood by users' needs and expectations. In this point of view, this work presents the process of deriving ConOps and aims to derive operational concept of maritime guided weapon system by using tools.

  • 네트워크를 통해 어플리케이션을 임대해주는 정보시스템 서비스 모델인 ASP 모델이 IT 시장에서 새로운 비즈니스 모델로 등장하였다. 그러나 ASP 모델은 기존의 정보시스템 모델에 비해 특정 서비스에 많은 서비스제공자가 임시적으로 결합되고, 정보자산이 공중망과 데이터센터에 위치하는 특징을 가지고 있다. 그러므로 ASP 서비스를 성공적인 수행하기 위해서는 ASP 사업자가 서비스의 제공능력이 있는지에 대한 인증활동과 ASP 서비스 도입 및 운영과정이 적절하게 이루어지고 있는가에 대한 감리활동이 요구된다. 따라서 본 연구는 ASP의 특징을 분석하고, ASP 인증ㆍ감리 프레임워크를 설계를 수행하고자 한다. 이를 위해, 기존연구를 바탕으로, 분류기준을 기술적 계층, 수명주기, 공급자/고객의 관점이라는 세 가지 차원에서 정의하며, 각각의 세부항목 및 내용을 정의하고자 한다.

An Improved Method of Developing Safety-Related Application Conditions for Safety Design of Railway Signalling Systems (철도신호시스템의 안전 설계를 위한 개선된 안전성 적용 조건 도출 방법)

  • According to the railway accident statistics in recent years, the frequency of accidents has been significantly reduced, due to the advance of related technologies and the establishment of safety information management systems. Nonetheless, accidents due to errors in the operation and maintenance phase and faults in safety design continue to occur. Therefore, to prevent accidents, guidelines for the safety design and manufacture of railway vehicles were established, and a request for the independent safety evaluation of safety designs was made. To respond to this, rail system developers must prepare safety cases as a safety activity product. One of the main items of these safety cases is the safety-related application conditions (SRAC) and, thus, the question of how to develop these SRAC is an important one. The SRAC studies reported so far focused only on the simplicity of the derivation procedure and the specific safety activities in the design phase. This method seems to have the advantage of quickly deriving SRAC items. However, there is a risk that some important safety-related items may be missing. As such, this paper proposes an improved method of developing the SRAC based on the idea of performing both the safety design and safety evaluation activities throughout the whole system lifecycle. In this way, it is possible to develop and manage the SRAC more systematically. Especially, considering the SRAC from the initial stage of the design can allow the safety requirements to be reflected to a greater extent. Also, an application case study on railway signaling systems shows that the method presented herein can prevent the omission of important safety-related items, due to the consideration of the SRAC throughout the system lifecycle.

  • Efficiency and efficient management on maintenance/repair/operation (MRO) phase is getting important with advance in technologies and complex functionalities of building and facility, Using software systems as well as advanced hardware systems in MRO area is spreading along with this trend to take advantage of information technology. Information of building and facility for MRO phase is derived from engineering/procurement/construction (EPC) phase. But most current commercial software systems in EPC and MRO are focusing on their own phase, which arise lack of consistency of information from EPC to MRO phase. But, the information system now used at the MRO phase stop flowing the building and the facilities information and then newly create. Moreover, from an asset management point of view, asset particulars such as the structures and equipments are different the value fluctuation. In order to reflect these information rationally, the construction costs are correctly distributed and the initial price of the asset particulars have to be estimated. In this study, develop the information model which can apply the cost information at the EPC phase to the MRO phase.

  • 기술의 복합성이 증가하고 제품의 존속 수명주기가 불확실해지면서 기술개발자가 의도하는 바와는 관계없이 사업 영역과 기술기반의 변하고 있다. 이러한 환경 속에서 산업 내 기술의 특성을 분석하는 이른바 산업기술분석 역할은 매우 중요하다. 그러나 그 범위가 매우 광범위하고 그 중 기술개발에 있어 관련된 산업기술분석의 프레임이 구체적으로 적용된 사례를 제한적이다. 따라서 다양한 산업을 지원하는 정부 기술개발 기회의 경우, 반도체에 적용되는 모듈러 기반 기술개발 틀과 성과분석이 항공기, 지능형 로봇과 같은 복합 시스템 산업에 그대로 적용해왔던 것이 현실이다. 이는 기술을 제품화함에 있어 필수적인 개발시스템의 기술적 속성이 산업기술 분석 방법론에 효과적으로 체화되지 못했기 때문이다 본 연구는 시스템과 서브 부품으로 구성되는 제품설계 특성을 구조화한 제품 아키텍쳐 이론을 소개하고 이를 기술개발체계에 적용하는 실증적 연구를 수행한다. 실증적 분석을 위해 항공기 개발 전 과정을 분해하고 아키텍쳐 분석방법을 실제 적용하였다. 아키텍쳐는 대표적으로 모듈 형(Module)과 인테그랄 형(Integral)으로 구분한다. 실제로 한 가지의 제품 안에도 모듈형 부품과 인테그랄 형 부품이 복합적으로 혼합되어 있는 경우가 많다. 또한, 제품을 어느 레벨까지 분해할 지에 따라 모듈화의 정도도 달라 질 수 있다. 본 연구는 아키텍쳐 중 Integral 속성의 정도를 파악하여 아키텍쳐 정도를 파악하였다. 측정 기준으로 첫째, 타 부품과의 기능적인 상호연관성과 둘째, 체계종합 설계와의 상호의존성 두 가지를 설정하였다. 이러한 두 가지 아키텍쳐 기준을 547개의 항공우주 부품 및 기술을 적용해 본 결과, 항공기 개발과정은 총 $65\%$의 인테그럴 속성을 가지고 있으며 기술분야 별로 아키텍쳐 정도가 다르게 나타나고 있었다(전자 부품은 분야는 오히려 모듈형에 가까웠음). 비단 항공기 개발과정 뿐만 아니라 다른 산업, 제품에도 적용될 수 있는 틀을 마련함으로써, 기존 연구개발기회에서 산업기술 분석을 통한 체계적 기획으로 전환할 수 있는 새로운 대안을 제시한다. 결과적으로 산업기술의 특성과 구조를 반영한 기술개발 방법론으로 아키텍쳐 이론을 적용할 수 있는 단초를 마련했으며, 이것은 본 논문이 기대하는 바이기도 하다.

The Study on the Implementation Approach of MLOps on Federated Learning System (연합학습시스템에서의 MLOps 구현 방안 연구)

  • Federated learning is a learning method capable of performing model learning without transmitting learning data. The IoT or healthcare field is sensitive to information leakage as it deals with users' personal information, so a lot of attention should be paid to system design, but when using federated-learning, data does not move from devices where data is collected. Accordingly, many federated-learning implementations have been developed, but detailed research on system design for the development and operation of systems using federated learning is insufficient. This study shows that measures for the life cycle, code version management, model serving, and device monitoring of federated learning are needed to be applied to actual projects and distributed to IoT devices, and we propose a design for a development environment that complements these points. The system proposed in this paper considered uninterrupted model-serving and includes source code and model version management, device state monitoring, and server-client learning schedule management.

  • As weapon systems are evolving into more advanced and complex ones, the role of the software is becoming heavily significant in their developments. Particularly in the war field of today as represented by the network centric warfare(NCW), the reliability of weapon systems is definitely crucial. In this context, it is inevitable to develop software reliably enough to make the weapon systems operate robustly in the combat field. The reliability engineering activities performed to develop software in the domestic area seem to be limited to the software reliability estimations for some projects. To ensure that the target reliability of software be maintained through the system's development period, a more systematic approach to performing software reliability engineering activities are necessary from the beginning of the development period. In this paper, we consider the software reliability in terms of the development of a weapon system as a whole. Thus, from the systems engineering point of view, we analyze the models and methods that are related to software reliability and a variety of associated activities. As a result, a process is developed, which can be called the software reliability engineering process for weapon systems (SREP-WS), The developed SREP-WS can be used in the development of a weapon system to meet a target reliability throughout its life-cycle. Based on the SREP-WS, the software reliability could also be managed quantitatively.
