A Design and Implementation on Ontology for Public Participation GIS (시민참여형 GIS를 위한 온톨로지 설계 및 구현)

  • This study investigates the ontology-based public participation GIS(PPGIS). The major reason that ontology-based GIS has attracted attention in semantic communication in recent year is due to the wide availability of geographical variable and the imminent need for turning such recommendation into useful geographical knowledge. Therefore, this study has been focused on designing and implementing the pilot tested system for public participation GIS. The applicability of the pilot tested was validated through a simulation experiment for history tourism in Guri city Gyeongi-do, Focused on the methodology, the life cycle model which involves regional statues and user recognition, can be viewed as an important preprocessing step(specification, conceptualization, formalization, integration and implementation) for recommended geographical knowledge discovery by axiom. Focusing on practicality, ontology in this study would be recommended for geographical knowledge through reasoning. In addition, ontology-based public participation GIS would show integration epistemological and ontological approach, and be utilized as an index which is connected with semantic communication. The results of the pilot system was applied to the study area, which was a part of scenario. The model was carried out using axiom of logical constraint in the meaning of human-activity.

  • In the field of urban planning and disaster prevention, various geographical information systems (GIS) and design softwares have been in use. Recently urban planners and disaster managing officials face new challenges, as three dimensional GIS, web environment, and smart phone app are rapidly developed. Technical progress in open API and mashup opens a possibility of making the citizen participation-based smart phone applications in the field of urban planning and disaster prevention. Our suggested smart phone applications will have technical, economic, and administrative impacts on the society in general; and play an effective role in developing U-City, U-health, and disaster prevention.

  • 현재 서울시 내에는 수많은 공공조형예술품들이 있다. 하지만 시민들은 그것들이 어디에 위치하고 있는지 쉽게 파악 할 수 없는 실정이며, 그에 따라 공공조형예술품들을 즐길 기회 또한 잃고 있다. 그래서 Web2.0 및 Mash-Up을 활용한 Web Portal Site를 구축하여 그것들에 대한 위치정보를 제공해 줄 뿐만 아니라, 시인들의 의견을 수렴하여 관리 및 유지보수 측면 등의 의사결정에 직접적으로 참여할 수 있는 Web 공간을 구축하였다. 기본적으로 서울시에서 파악하고 있는 공공조형예술품들에 대한 DB를 제공하고 또한 사용자가 정보를 입력하는 인터페이스를 통하여 기존 DB에 없는 정보를 추가함으로써 관리자 및 사용자가 쌍방향으로 DB를 구축하게 된다. DB를 바탕으로 Naver Map 및 Google Map 을 활용한 공공조형예술품들의 위치를 나타내는 지도를 제공한다. 그리고 입력된 DB를 바탕으로 예술품들의 행정구역별 수량 및 각 예술품 종류별 수량 등의 통계적 자료를 추출하여 제시하고, 사용자는 입력되어 있는 예술품들에 대한 평가 및 관리 보수 등의 의견을 제시하여 서울시 내의 공공조형예술품에 관한 의사결정에 의견을 제시할 수 있다. 본 연구물의 결과로 기대 할 수 있는 효과는 도시 재생 및 도시 계획 재정립에 있어 사용자 참여 유도 및 참고적 역할을 할 수 있고, 도시 내 조형예술품들에 대한 정보 제공의 기점 역할을 하여, 관광객 유치 및 도시 문화사업의 도움이 될 수 있다.

  • Due to the rapid advance in web and mobile computing technologies, normal users have become to produce, provide, and share a varied form of spatial data and information. In the domain of spatial information, numerous researches on GIS have been conducted to provide spatial information services based on a geo-sensor network and a data integration and processing technology. However, to provide user-oriented information, a context information model is necessary to associate GIS data with web and sensor data. Context awareness services is designed to provide specific information, minimizing users' interference. For which, the context information model expresses the relationship of various data from sensor networks and mobile applications and provides a user-specific information considering location and area of interest. Thus, this research aims to develops a context information model based air-pollution information system that obtains and analyses air pollution data and reflects the analysis results on an air-pollution policy. Also, this system aims to raise citizens' awareness on air-pollution and to promote citizens' participatory to improve city's air quality.
