Query Processing of Sensor Network using Sensing View (센싱 뷰를 이용한 센서 네트워크에서의 질의 처리)

  • 센서 네트워크에서 질의 처리 기술은 통신 비용을 절감하고 신뢰성을 향상하고 에너지 효율성을 향상시키는데 목적을 두고 있다. 현재 에너지의 효율성을 위해서 센서 노드가 수행하는 질의를 최적화하여 전력 손실을 줄이고자 하는 연구가 활발하게 수행 중이다. 본 논문에서는 실체 뷰와 인덱싱 뷰를 이용하여 센서 네트워크에 맞는 효율적인 새로운 센싱 뷰라는 기법을 제안한다. 제안하는 질의 처리 알고리즘은 실체 뷰와 인덱싱 뷰의 개념을 바탕으로 기존의 분산 데이터베이스의 질의 처리 방법을 센서 네트워크에 적용하였다. 제안된 센싱 뷰 알고리즘은 센싱 뷰를 싱크 노드에 위치시킴으로서 센서 노드와의 통신 횟수를 최대한 줄임으로서 통신 비용과 에너지의 소모량을 줄일 수 있었다. 성능은 시뮬레이션을 통해서 평균적으로 약 30%정도의 성능 향상 효과를 보였다.

  • The sensor network technology for core technology of ubiquitous computing is in the spotlight recently, the research on sensor network is proceeding actively which is composed many different sensor node. The major traffic patterns of plenty of sensor networks are composed of collecting types of single directional data, which is transmitting packets from several sensor nodes to sink node. One of the important condition for design of sensor node is to extend for network life which is to minimize power-consumption under the limited resources of sensor network. In this work, we analysis adapted routing protocols using the network simulation that was used exiting network and network provider needs will be able to solve the problem.

  • Recently, a lot of researches have been done to increase the life span of network using the energy efficient sensor node in WSN. In the WSN environment, we must use limited amount of energy and hardware. Therefore, it is necessary to design energy efficient communication protocol and use limited resources. Cluster based routing method such as LEACH and HEED get the energy efficient routing using data communication between cluster head and related member nodes. In this paper, we propose an energy efficient routing algorithm as well as performance result using simulation.

  • IEEE 802.3az LPI mechanism allows an Ethernet link to reduce power consumption by entering a low-power sleeping mode and letting some components being powered off when there is no data to be transmitted through the link. However, if small amount of packets are being sent periodically, such a mechanism can not obtain energy efficiency due to a high overhead caused by excessive mode transitions. In this paper, we propose an enhanced LPI mechanism which can perform state transition adaptively based on the traffic characteristics on transport layer and network status. This simulation result shows that proposed mechanism improves energy efficiency than LPI mechanism with respect to energy consumption rate for various traffic loads.

  • 일반적인 센서 네트워크 환경과 달리 이동성을 중시하는 환경에서의 무선 센서 네트워크는 에너지 효율성, 동적 자기구성, 이동성에 적합하도록 개발되어야 한다. 이러한 환경에서의 센서 네트워크 응용은 고정 노드와 이동 노드가 혼재되어 있는 것이 일반적이다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 이동 노드 지원을 위한 'LEACH-Mobile' 프로토콜을 제안한다. LEACH-Mobile프로토콜은 노드의 움직임에 따라 토폴로지가 변화할 때, 이동하는 노드가TDMA 스케줄에 따른 시간 슬롯에서 특정 클러스터 헤드 노드와 통신이 가능한지의 여부로서 클러스터의 멤버가 될 노드를 결정하고 클러스터를 재구성한다. LEACH-Mobile 프로토콜의 시뮬레이션 결과는 이동 노드가 증가함에 따라 이동성을 지원하지 않는 기존의 LEACH 프로토콜에 비해 데이터 전송 성공률 면에서 명확한 성능 향상을 가져오는 것을 보여준다.

  • 위치기반 라우팅 기법들은 소스에서 목적지노드로 데이터 패킷을 전송하기 위한 목적으로 널리 사용된다. 오리지널 그리디 포워딩 기법은 실제 무선링크의 신뢰성을 고려하지 않아 수많은 데이터 패킷 재전송이 발생한다. 이러한 문제를 해결하기 위해 PRR ${\times}$ Distance 기법이 제안되었지만 실제 무선링크의 비대칭성을 고려하지 않아 여전히 많은 재전송이 발생한다. 제안기법은 포워딩할 데이터 패킷을 가진 현재 노드의 전송 반경 내에서 전송 가능한 1-hop과 2-hop 라우팅 경로를 찾는다. 이들 라우팅 경로들 중 기대전송비용이 최소가 되는 경로를 선택하여 데이터와 ACK 패킷을 전송한다. 시뮬레이션을 결과를 통해 제안기법이 기존 기법들보다 높은 신뢰성과 에너지 효율을 가짐을 보인다.

Study on Integrated Storage Systems for Automobile Production (자동차 생산을 위한 통합창고 연구)

  • Automobile manufacturing consists of body-line, painting-line, and assembly-line. These production lines are disposed in series and go through a flow process, so according to the status of pre & post processing, a suspension happens in a line by a starvation(impossibility of production by insufficient supply) or blocking(impossibility of production by exceed capacity). Therefore, to prevent a loss of production coming from a starvation or blocking, a storage such as WBS or PBS is independently owned and operated. The paper suggests the simulation model of integrated storage which can operate it by integrating each storage performing a role as a buffer of line. Specifically, the paper found the answers about reasonable number of Stacker Crane and AGV(Automatic Guided Vehicle) and suggested a methodology of operation which is available to operate them. Also, it compared an efficiency between a model of current storage and integrated storage through simulation. As a result, it turned out that the model suggested in the paper was more efficient on suspension of painting-line stop than a current storage.

Development of Simulator for Designing Unidirectional AGV Systems (일방향 AGV 시스템 설계를 위한 시뮬레이터 개발)

  • AGV systems are widely used to increase the flexibility and the efficiency of the material handling systems. AGV systems are one of critical factors which determine the overall performance of the manufacturing systems. To this end, the optimal design for AGV systems is essential. Commercial simulation software is often used as an analysis tool during the design of AGV systems, however a series of procedures are desirable to simplify the analysis processes. In this paper, we present and develop the architecture for unidirectional AGV systems simulator which is able to consider approximate optimal unidirectional flow path and various operational parameters. The designed AGV systems simulator is based on JAVA, and it is developed to support designing approximate optimal unidirectional network by using Tabu search method. In addition, it enables users to design and evaluate AGV systems and to analyze alternative solutions easily. Simulation engine is consists of layout designer, AGV operation plan designer, and integrated AGVS layout designer. Users enter their system design/operation information into input window, then the entered information is automatically utilized for modeling and simulating AGV systems in simulation engine. By this series of procedures, users can get the feed back quickly.

Patient Management Through Simulation Modeling in the Medical Center (시뮬레이션 기법을 이용한 검진센터의 환자관리방안)

  • This study aims to develop the methods for effective patient flow in the medical center through simulation modeling. To achieve this, we developed three simulation scenarios based on max/min processing time and addition of X-ray by 15 patient tracks from real hospital data. The simulation software used in this study is Flexsim HC 2.7. According to the scenario 1 on 15 patient tracks' LOS by max processing time, there is a great difference between average length of stay(LOS) and max LOS. And average LOS increases greatly depending on the number of patients by the hours. There is no need to add extra X-ray because the addition of X-ray has not much influence in average LOS. It is possible to make good decisions on patient flow management and medical equipment purchasing through simulation modeling. The concrete simulation scenario as a tool for decision support will contribute to efficiency in hospital management.

A Scheme for Efficient Synchronization on Real Time Strategy Games (실시간 전략 시뮬레이션 게임에서의 효율적인 동기화 기법)

  • The command that game users give should be reflected to the game immediately and should be transferred to several objects at once. Also, all game users who participate in game should keep the same progress situation in Real-Time Strategy game. But it takes a certain amount of time to get the command pass to other users, and it is important issue that many commands are synchronized in a short amount of time on server of RTS game. Therefore we propose a scheme for an efficient synchronization based on event locking method on RTS game in this paper. We design and implement the gaming server applying to our proposed scheme. Also, we show efficiency of our proposed scheme by performance analysis in this paper.
