Earthwork Planning via Reinforcement Learning with Heterogeneous Construction Equipment (강화학습을 이용한 이종 장비 토목 공정 계획)

  • Earthwork planning is one of the critical issues in a construction process management. For the construction process management, there are some different approaches such as optimizing construction with either mathematical methodologies or heuristics with simulations. This paper propose a simulated earthwork scenario and an optimal path for the simulation using a reinforcement learning. For reinforcement learning, we use two different Markov decision process, or MDP, formulations with interacting excavator agent and truck agent, sequenced learning, and independent learning. The simulation result shows that two different formulations can reach the optimal planning for a simulated earthwork scenario. This planning could be a basis for an automatic construction management.

Flight Trajectory Simulation via Reinforcement Learning in Virtual Environment (가상 환경에서의 강화학습을 이용한 비행궤적 시뮬레이션)

  • The most common way to control a target point using artificial intelligence is through reinforcement learning. However, it had to process complicated calculations that were difficult to implement in order to process reinforcement learning. In this paper, the enhanced Proximal Policy Optimization (PPO) algorithm was used to simulate finding the planned flight trajectory to reach the target point in the virtual environment. In this paper, we simulated how this problem was used to find the planned flight trajectory to reach the target point in the virtual environment using the enhanced Proximal Policy Optimization(PPO) algorithm. In addition, variables such as changes in trajectory, effects of rewards, and external winds are added to determine the zero conditions of external environmental factors on flight trajectory learning, and the effects on trajectory learning performance and learning speed are compared. From this result, the simulation results have shown that the agent can find the optimal trajectory in spite of changes in the various external environments, which will be applicable to the actual vehicle.

Simulated Courseware Design and Materialization of Light Reflection and Refraction (빛의 반사 및 굴절 시뮬레이션 코스웨어 설계 및 구현)

  • The purpose of this study is to design and materialize the simulated courseware which is based on new educational environments and student-based education. The scope of this study is reflection and refraction of in the physics of high school. This paper introduce the theoretical background of courseware and investigate the structure and process of the teaching-theory by visualized computer simulation. We applied the basic concept about the reflection and refraction of light and explained the simulated images of spherical mirror and lens with the principles expressions and relative image forms. The last we simulated the various kinds of the images, shapes and distance of the images by changing the distance of object and focus which are made by computer simulation.

Development of Simulation App Tool for Understanding 8 Process Scheduling Policies

  • In this study, an simulation app was developed as one of the methods to help learners better understand the eight process scheduling policies of multi-programming. In learning, an app in the form of a simulation should provide a realistic environment and allow learners to practice. To do this, the needs of the learners were investigated and analyzed, and the purpose was set, designed, and programmed based on the learners' understanding. And it was shown that the apps as a tool to simulate the created eight scheduling policies are performing well. In particular, it was shown that the problem of not having a step-by-step various diagram and explanation for step-by-step various inputs, which is a limitation of paper textbooks, can be solved using these tools.

  • 21세기 지식정보화 시대의 정보과학기술은 중요한 교육으로 발전하고 있으며, 최근 6T를 기반으로 융합 IT는 미래사회의 중요한 과학기술로 연구 발전 시켜나가고 있다. 최근 이러한 융합적 IT기술의 근원은 창의성 계발과 아이디어를 중요시하고 있으며, 창조적 인재육성을 지향하고 있다. 창조적 인재육성은 창의적 문제해결 학습에 의한 두뇌의 발달과 창의적 설계를 가능하게 하므로 새로운 학습방법 연구가 활발히 진행 되어야 할 필요가 있다. 본 논문에서는 RDS를 이용한 창의적 문제해결 학습방법에 대하여 설명하고, 융합 IT분야에서도 미래사회에 가장 많은 영향력을 가지고 있는 지능로봇 분야의 창의적 설계와 응용을 학습할 수 있는 방법에 대하여 소개한다. RDS는 지능로봇 시뮬레이션 프로그램을 서비스 컴포넌트 기반으로 창의적 설계에 대하여 3차원 가상공간에서 학습자가 직접 프로그램으로 제작 실험이 가능하도록 지원한다. 또한 수학적, 과학적 학습의 효과를 동시에 IT에 접목할 수 있는 종합교육학습 시스템으로 발전시켜 나갈 수 있다. 시각적 시뮬레이션 환경(VSE)은 학습자의 문제해결력을 위한 경험과 실험을 동시에 실시간 제공할 수 있는 것이 큰 장점이다.

  • 에너지 소비가 큰 건물은 내부 온/습도, 이산화탄소 농도, 미세먼지 농도 등의 일정 공기 질을 유지하면서 에너지 비용을 최소화할 수 있는 제어계획을 수립하는 것이 필요하다. 기존 건물에서 실내 환경의 운영은 설정된 실내 환경 값을 기준을 벗어나면 설비 기기를 제어하는 방식으로 이루어진다. 이는 단 시간에 고에너지를 투입하여 장비를 가동시키므로 에너지 소모가 크며 peak 전력이 높아 에너지 비용이 크다는 문제가 있다. 따라서 온도를 포함한 환경이 변해가는 상황을 예측하고 사전에 에너지 사용 계획을 수립하여 관리 제어를 수행함으로써 예열부하 등의 불필요한 에너지 손실을 절감하려 한다. 이를 위해 실내 환경이 변화하는 것을 예측하고 후보 제어계획으로 제어를 수행할 때 소요되는 에너지가 어느 정도인지 시뮬레이션하여 제어계획의 적합도를 평가한다. 기존 EnergyPlus와 같은 시뮬레이션 도구는 모델이 복잡하여 시뮬레이션에 많은 시간이 필요하기 때문에 환경 변화를 반영하기 위해 주기적으로 재수립되는 수많은 제어계획 데이터를 단시간에 시뮬레이션하기에 부적합하다. 본 논문에서는 빠른 시뮬레이션을 위해 실제 운영 데이터와 에뮬레이션을 통해 획득한 운영 데이터를 기반으로 학습 알고리즘을 이용하여 제어계획 적용 시의 미래 상황을 예측한다.

Effects of Simulation Learning on Nursing Competency in Nursing College Students (간호 대학생의 시뮬레이션 학습이 간호역량에 미치는 효과)

  • This study was conducted on 130 nursing college students who had experience taking simulation learning to confirm the relationship between simulation learning and nursing competency. Participant's satisfaction and confidence were positively associated with overall nursing competency and patient safety. The teaching method and design of the facilitator were also positively correlated with overall nursing competency, and participants' age and simulation design was a predictive factor explaining 21.5% of the nursing competency. In applying simulation to develop nursing competency, it is necessary to consider the satisfaction and confidence of participants and to systematically diversify the teaching method and design.

  • The prior data structure coursewares have been limited to using a simple screen structure with text, pictures or plain animation so that they have been failed to promote favorable interaction between learners and instructors, and unnecessarily charges the screen. In order to overcome these problems, this paper provides an applet-based simulation environment which enables learner to operate and control the data structure operation with their own data, therefore, the learners can actively and positively participate in a study with this courseware. The instructors can easily deliver the education contents to the learners by using web simulation suitable for IT education media. Also, the courseware can offer a class feedback and required data for students estimation by recording a log.

  • This study was designed to create a situational and procedural simulation of web-courseware which will enhance students' self-directed learning styles during the economics class in elementary schools. When teaching the students how to be wise consumers, it is important to provide them with various experiences that will lead them to make active and rational decisions. Actual experiences are, however, rather limited in reality which consequently result in learning economics only vicariously at school. The purpose of the study was, therefore, to develop a courseware which allows the student to have indirect experiences through computer simulations. The courseware will not only assist the student in making decisions and taking actions appropriately during the various situations given in the program, but also overcome the limitations of the classroom setting by using the procedural simulation.

  • 정보 통신 기술의 발달로 컴퓨터를 활용한 교육 영역이 계속 발전해 나가고 있고, 교수-학습에 도움을 주기 위한 많은 코스웨어 들이 개발되어 사용되고 있다. 기존의 코스웨어는 수업시간에 이미 배운 내용을 단순 반복하거나 형성 평가 형식의 예제를 풀어보는 유형으로, 학습자는 미리 계획된 커리큘럼과 프로그램에 수동적으로 반응하게 되어 코스웨어에서도 교수 중심의 학습이 이루어 지는 것을 극복하기 위해 본 연구에서는 학습자가 능동적으로 학습 과정에 참여하여 학습자 중심의 교육이 이루어 질 수 있고 텍스트가 아닌 프로그래밍 언어나 아이콘화 된 메뉴를 이용해 쉽게 접근이 가능하며 실제 상황과 유사하게 학습환경을 제공하고 수행결과를 확인해 학습의 효과를 극대화 시킬 수 있는 응용 프로그램 인터페이스(Application Program Interface) 기반의 시뮬레이션형 코스웨어를 설계해보고자 한다.
