A Comparison Analysis of Usability Evaluation for Simulation Learning based on Web 3D and Virtual Reality (웹 3D와 가상현실 시뮬레이션 학습의 사용성 평가 비교분석)

  • This study is analyzed by comparing the evaluation of usability and study achievement for simulation learning based on Web 3D and VR and it is aimed to verify the characteristics of the virtual reality through a difference in studying effect between each learning method. Therefore, this study is analyzed by comparing the evaluation of usability and study achievement for the CSI Forensics Lab simulation content that has been developed in two learning methods for scientific experiments of DNA analysis with the 75 university students of Life Science as a population(Web 3D=37, VR=38). The results of the study, in usability of user task action, exploratory and navigation, Web 3D simulation learning was positive in a significant difference, but in usability of satisfaction, VR simulation learning was positive in a significant difference. In study achievement, Web 3D simulation learning was slightly higher but did not confirm the significant differences between both of learning.

  • 웹기반 학습은 학습자의 자율적인 통제하에서 학습이 이루어지는 특성을 갖고 있다. 학습 컨텐츠와 학습자간의 충분한 대화 즉, 상호작용이 제공되지 않는다면 학습자는 일방적인 학습을 수행하게 되므로 학습에 대한 정확한 이해를 판단할 수가 없다. 이런 문제점을 해결하기 위해서 웹기반 학습의 여러 유형의 컨텐츠중에서 가장 상호작용 요소가 강한 시뮬레이션 형태의 컨텐츠를 이용해서 디지털 회로를 직접 학습자가 설계할 수 있도록 웹기반 시뮬레이션 도구를 설계 및 구현하고자 한다. 이로 인해서 학습자와 학습 컨텐츠간의 쌍방향 대화를 할 수 있는 환경을 제공함으로써 복잡한 디지털 회로에 대한 학습자의 학습 결과에 대한 피드백을 줌으로써 학습자의 학습 성취도를 높일 수 있다.

  • 본 연구는 초등학교 학생 수준에 맞는 알고리즘 교육을 위한 웹 기반 시뮬레이션의 설계 방안을 제시하는데 목적이 있다. 이에 따라 본 연구에서는 알고리즘 교육을 위한 시뮬레이션 모형을 기반으로 자료 처리의 가장 기본이 되는 정렬 및 탐색 알고리즘으로 제한하여 설계 방안을 고찰하였다. 각각의 알고리즘 학습을 위해 실생활과 밀접한 모의상활을 제시하여 알고리즘 학습에 대한 학습동기를 극대화할 수 있도록 설계하였다. 본 연구에서 설계한 시뮬레이션을 개발하여 적용한다면 초등학교 수준에 맞는 알고리즘 교수-학습에 도움을 줄 것으로 기대된다.

Effects of High-Fidelity Simulation-Based Training of Nursing Students according to their Learning Styles (일 대학 간호학생의 학습유형별 시뮬레이션 교육 효과)

  • The purpose of this study was to establish basic materials for providing a learning type specific simulation education through identifying the differences in self-efficacy, problem solving ability and clinical competence before and after a learning type specific simulation education, with 145 3rd-year nursing students at a university as the study subjects. This study is a single-group, before-and-after designed experiment for verifying the learning type specific effects after simulation education. As a result of the experiment on the learning types of nursing students, the adaptors were seen to be the most, and the after-simulation education problem solving ability (F=5.015, p = 0.02) and the after-education clinical competence (F=3.288, p = 0.02) showed statistically significant differences. From which, based on the fact that the convergers were seen to be significantly higher than the adaptors and the divergers were higher than the adaptors in regard to problem solving ability, and the fact that the convergers were seen to be significantly higher than the adaptors in regard to clinical competence, it was possible to ascertain that there are differences in the effects of learning type specific simulation education. However, self-efficacy did not show any statistically significant differences. Based on these results, it can be expected that a simulation education by learning types can be provided.

  • Simulation education is a method that allows learners to learn repeatedly in realistic simulated situations. It solves the limitations of clinical practice that lacks direct nursing performance and is useful for acquiring and developing the knowledge, nursing skills, communication skills, learning self-efficacy, and clinical reasoning required for nursing students. The purpose of this study was identify the effects of High fidelity simulation-based education on communication ability, learning self-efficacy and clinical reasoning of nursing students. The subjects were 84 nursing students who were enrolled in the senior who had received simulation training using dysphagia patient care scenario. Data were analyzed using SPSS/WIN 22.0. As a result, There was a statistically significant difference in the communication ability, learning self-efficacy, clinical reasoning. And the mean score of simulation effectiveness is 2.64 points (a perfect score of three). Therefore, In order to improve the communication ability, learning self-efficacy and clinical reasoning of nursing students, it is necessary to develop and apply realistic scenarios that reflect various clinical situations.

Moderating Effect of Learning styles on the relationship of quality and satisfaction in the context of Business Simulation Game (시뮬레이션활용 경영 교육의 품질요인과 성과에 대한 학습유형의 조절효과)

  • This study aims to explore the effect of quality factors and learning styles on users' satisfaction in the use of business simulation tools in business education. For this purpose, statistical methods such as reliability test, factor analysis, ANOVA, regression analysis were carried out using the survey data from university students. The quality factors of education using simulation were classified into contents, education environment, interpersonal activities, and instructor support while learning styles were classified into proactive, self-directed, environmental-dependent, and passive styles. The results showed that each quality factors of education using business simulation had a strong positive effect on user satisfaction. Proactive and environment-dependent group had higher satisfaction than other groups. Learning styles had moderating effects on the quality-satisfaction relationship, and the direction and degree varied depending on the quality factors and learning styles. Theoretical and practical implications were drawn from these findings.

  • Simulations enable virtually experiencing rare events as well as analytically analyzing such events. Defense modeling and simulation research and develops the virtual and the constructive simulations to support these utilizations. These virtual and constructive(VC) simulations can interoperate to simultaneously virtual combat experience as well as evaluations on tactics and intelligence of combat entities. Moreover, recently, for artificial intelligence researches, it is necessary to retrieve human behavior data to proceed the imitation learning and the inverse reinforcement learning. The presented work illustrates a case study of VC interoperations in the aircombat scenario, and the work analyze the collected human behavior data from the VC interoperations. Through this case study, we discuss how to build the VC simulation in the aircombat area and how to utilize the collected human behavior data.

  • 단위 시간 동안 이루어지는 교수-학습 활동이 이루어질 때, 교육적으로 추구하는 최선의 목표는 학습자가 정해진 목표를 달성하는 것이다. 이를 위해서 학습자가 수업에 실제로 참여하는 시간을 확보하는 일은 무엇보다도 중요하다. 학습과 관련성이 없거나 높지 않은 여러 가지 변인들로 인해 학습자의 학습 시간이 침해받는 일을 최소화하기 위한 해결 방안 수립이 필요한데, 시간과 인력을 불필요하게 동원하지 않으면서 빠른 시간 내에 원하는 결과를 관찰할 수 있는 시뮬레이션의 활용이 효과적이다. 시뮬레이션 모델 정립을 통해 학습자의 실제학습시간(Academic Learning Time)을 증진시킬 수 있는 방안을 모색하고자 한다

Development of a Scenario and Evaluation for Simulation Learning of Care for Patients with Hyperkalemia of Liver Cirrhosis in Emergency Unit (간호시뮬레이션 학습시나리오의 개발 및 평가 -응급실 내원 간경화증 환자사례를 중심으로-)

  • The purpose of this study was to develop a scenario suited for our clinical situations and evaluate the application possibility by evaluating students' problem solving ability and learning satisfaction in simulation learning. This study consisted of contents which could be applied for varied situations such as complications and symptoms related to liver cirrhosis, looking into hyperkalemia symptoms of patients with liver cirrhosis in emergency unit. The stage of developing scenario was organized in the order of setting simulation learning objectives and situations of scenario, making algorithm, writing checklists of clinical performance appraisal, and debriefing. The scenario was constructed with monitor setting(actions), patient/mannequin(actions), expected interventions(events), and cues in chronological order, according to the scenario progression outline of Jeffries (2007). The scenario was used in 2011, consisting of 4-5 people per group of 53 senior nursing students who registered for 'clinical performance appraisal' course. The problem solving ability improved from a score of 4.05 before simulation learning to a score of 4.30 after simulation learning (t=-3.97, p<.001). The score for learning satisfaction after the simulation learning was high (4.09/5). Considering that simulation learning encouraged students to be the main body of class, this learning method can be the effective way of nursing education.

Splash Detection Algorithm for Machine Learning-based Fluid Simulation (기계학습 기반 유체 시뮬레이션의 비말 검출 알고리즘)

  • 인공지능 기술의 발전에 따라 유체 시뮬레이션 분야에서는 복잡한 액체의 흐름을 모사하기 위해 기계학습 기술이 많이 활용되고 있다. 이러한 시뮬레이션에서 성능 향상의 가장 중요한 요소는 학습 데이터다. 이 논문에서는 기계학습 기반 유체 시뮬레이션의 학습 데이터 생성 단계 중 기존의 방법보다 효율적으로 비말(splash) 탐색하는 방법을 제안한다. 기존 방법에서는 CPU 환경에서 큐(queue)를 이용하는 너비우선탐색(breadth first search) 기법을 사용하기 때문에 처리속도가 느리다. 반면에 제안하는 기법에서는 배열로 되어 있는 해시 테이블(hash table)을 이용해 충돌 문제를 해결해 GPU 환경에서 비말을 신속하게 검출하도록 하기 때문에 빠른 학습 데이터 생성이 가능하도록 했다. 이 알고리즘의 유효성을 확인하기 위하여 정확성과 수행시간을 확인하였다.
