A Study on Design of Optimal Location for Renewable Energy Facility Using GIS (GIS를 사용한 재생에너지설비 최적 위치 설계에 관한 연구)

  • For well over 100 years, oil has enabled remote communities to generate electricity and enjoy the benefits of a consistent electrical supply. Relying solely on oil for electricity generation has left island and remote communities exposed to several risks and drawbacks. Oil-based electricity generation is often more expensive and subject to price volatility, which can result in the use of risky fuel hedging strategies. The residents of islands and remote communities express concern over the future impacts of climate change or insist on their opinions for the corresponding action with reduction of carbon emissions. These risks and drawbacks can be overcomed with continuing cost reductions in solar, wind, and energy storage technologies by maker. Reducing costs is not always a straightforward process, relying on more diversely and renewably arranged renewable energy sources led to reduced local construction cost in every situation reviewed in this study. In this paper, a convenient and simple design solution which will facilitate the optimum location and transmission route of renewable energy facility using GIS(Geographic Information System) is proposed. The suggested solutions exercised to the case of geomoon island using GIS and identified by local site survey.

Friction behaviour of inflatable structure system to protect rapidly flooding damages in subsea tunnel (해저터널 급속차폐를 위한 팽창구조체의 마찰거동에 대한 연구)

  • This paper is focused on the determination of friction parameter which is a predominant factor in the design of inflatable structure system. This inflatable structure system is very valuably used to protect passively and rapidly the possibilities of tunnel damages by flooding threats and unusual leakage to be occurred during and after underground infrastructure construction. In particular, this system should be necessary in subsea tunnel. This study presents the experimental results obtained from the relative friction characteristics tests of the fabric materials that constitute the inflatable structure. In order to evaluate the relative friction behaviour of the inflatable structure system, friction tests and scaled model tunnel friction tests are carried out. The friction tests are carried out to determine the friction coefficient for different surface conditions between tunnel and inflatable structure. These friction coefficients are then evaluated and compared with the result obtained from the model tunnel friction tests. Interaction behaviours between tunnel and system are also reviewed and described in this study. The results clearly show that the friction coefficients derived from scaled model slippage tests are about 12% lower than values obtained from the friction tests. In addition, this study will be necessary to verify the real friction behaviour with prototype tests before applying in practice.

  • This study analyzed the determinants of land compensation costs using the CALS (Continuous Acquisition & Life-Cycle Support) system to generate data for the construction (planning, design, building, management) process. For analysis, variables used in the related research on land costs were used, which included eight variables (Land Area, Individual Public Land Price, Appraisal & Assessment, Land Category, Use District 1, Terrain Elevation, Terrain Shape, and Road). Also, the variables were analyzed using the machine learning-based Xgboost algorithm. Individual Public Land Price was identified as the most important variable in determining land cost. We used a linear multiple regression analysis to verify the determinants of land compensation. For this verification, the dependent variable included was the Individual Public Land Price, and the independent variables were the numeric variable (Land Area) and factor variables (Land Category, Use District 1, Terrain Elevation, Terrain Shape, Road). This study found that the significant variables were Land Category, Use District 1, and Road.

An analytical Study for the Development of Highly Elastic Material applicable for Joint in Modular Pavement (모듈러 포장에 적용가능한 고탄성 연결재료 개발을 위한 해석적 연구)

  • This study was intended to estimate the axial deformation of joint between pavement modules in the rapid-constructible modular pavement system, and to investigate the applicability of two-phase composites for a joint material, which was composed of cement paste, epoxy, or polyurethane as a matrix and sand as particles. A case which had supports under the pavement module as well as a case which the module was put on roadbed directly were considered in FEM analysis for the axial deformation. The effect of self-weight, live load, thermal change, and drying shrinkage were estimated and the thermal change was found to cause the largest deformation compared to the others. Deformation capacity of two-phase composites was predicted using the modified shear-lag model. In the analytical results for the elastic modulus and maximum tensile strain with different volume fractions of sand, 20~30 % replacement of sand was revealed to satisfy the required strain capacity with economy when if the width of joint was designed to be 15~20 mm.

  • 도시화 면적이 증가하면 불투수 면적이 증가하고 그에 따라 도시 하천의 평상시 유출이 감소한다. 도시유역의 평상시 수량을 회복시키는 방법으로는 침투 증진시설(투수성 포장, 침투 트렌치, 침투 측구 등)의 설치, 하수의 고도처리 후 방류 저수지에 의한 유황 개선, 지하철 용출수 활용 등이 있다. 우리나라의 경우에 일부 도시하천의 수량 감소가 심각한 상황에 이르고 있으며 이를 해결하고자 하는 노력이 최근에 나타나고 있다. 수량을 회복하려면 유량 평가를 위한 현장조사, 수량회복 계획, 재원의 반영, 수량회복 시설의 설치 및 관리의 순서로 단계별 사업이 수행되어야 한다. 계획 단계의 과업에서 필요한 사항은 여러 가지 수량 회복 방법의 영향을 정량 평가하는 것이다. 이에 핵심이 되는 것은 수량 회복 요소를 포함하거나 추가한 수문순환 평가 도구이다. 침투시설 중 투수성 포장과 침투 트렌치를 모의하도록 기존의 SWMM 모형을 수정하였다. 그 과정에서 증발량 처리와 지하수 출력기능에 대한 오류도 수정되었다. 수정 개발된 SWMM을 침투시설 모형실험 결과와 비교하여 수정된 프로그램의 적합성을 검증하였다. 투수성 포장과 침투 트렌치를 고려하여 수정된 프로그램을 안양천의 지류인 학의천 유역에 적용하여 침투시설의 효과를 분석하였다. 만일 학의천 불투수 면적의 10%를 투수성 포장으로 교체하면 하류 비산교 지점의 저수량$(Q_{275})$이 3 %, 갈수량$(Q_{355})$이 17 % 증가하는 것으로 분석되었다. 침투 트렌치의 경우 학의천 소유역 별로 100m 트렌치를 $5{\sim}10$개 시공할 경우 저수량은 약 1 %, 갈수량은 약9 %가 증가하였다. 수정 개발된 SWMM을 사용하면 침투 트렌치와 투수성 포장 이 도시 유역의 건기 수량회복에 미치는 영향을 분석할 수 있다.해 경보발령 이전에 한계수위를 넘어서는 경우(case_3)로서 분석되었다. 이러한 실패한 경보발령의 경우에 대한 원인분석 결과, 기존의 모형화를 통해 고려되지 못하였던 해안도시 홍수의 특성 중 총강우량에 대한 고려, 선행강우 여부 및 강우 지속시간, 지속시간 내 강우집중도 그리고 선정지점 내 조위의 영향과 유역내 합류식 하수관거 시스템의 영향 등 자연유역과는 다른 다소 복잡한 요소를 고려한 해안도시홍수 경보발령 기준에 대한 개선이 필요함을 확인할 수 있었다.이 좋다고 고찰된다. 6. 우리 나라의 현행 수도작기로 본 기온 및 일조조건은 수도의 분얼전기에 대해서는 호조건하에 놓여 있으나, 분얼후기인 7월 중ㆍ하순 경의 일조부족과 고온다습조건은 병해, 특히 도열병의 유발원인이 되고 있다. 7. 우리 나라의 현행수도작기로 본 전국각지의 수도의 출수기는 모두 일조시간이 적은 부적당한 시기에 처해 있다. 8. 출수후 40일간의 평균기온에 의한 적산온도 88$0^{\circ}C$의 출현기일은 수원에서 8월 23일이었고, 년간편차를 고려한 안전출수기일은 8월 19일로서 적산온도면에서는 관행 출수기일은 약간 늦다고 보았다. 9. 등열기의 평균기온에 의한 적산온도는 현행 수도작기로서는 최종한계시기에 놓여 있으며, 평균기온의 년간편차와 우리 나라의 최저기온이 낮은 점을 고려할 때, 현행출수기는 다소 늦은 것으로 보았다. 10. 생육단계별의 수도체내의 질소함량은 영양생장기의 질소함량이 과다하였으며, 출수 이후에 영양조락을 여하히 방지하느냐가 문제된다고 보았다. 11. 수리불안전답 및 천수답이 차지하는 전답면적의 비율은 차차 감소되고 있는데, 이와 전체 10a당 수량의 증가율과의 상관계수를 산출하였는데, 수리불안전답과의 상관계수 (4)는 +0.525였으며, 천수답과는 r=+0.832, 그리고 수리불안전답과 천수답을 합계한 것과의

Development of BIM based LID Facilities Supply Auto-checking Module (BIM 기반 LID 시설 물량 자동 검토 모듈 개발)

  • Recently, Discussion about BIM based LID (Low Impact Development) facilities management system is activated because interest of LID technique for urban water cycle restoration is increasing. For this reason, this paper developed the auto-checking module of the BIM (Building Information Model) based supply output table. This module will be the foundation of the BIM based LID facilities total management system. The research order is composed like next follows: (1) Select target area, (2) Make BIM model of LID facilities and extract supply output table, (3) Develop comparison module, (4) Analysis results. As a result, the authors made 27 LID facilities and developed the supply output table comparison automation module. So, the authors could find differences of 2D design documents based supply output table and BIm based supply output table. So, the authors made an improvement suggestion of the design plan and could construct foundation of the BIM based LID facilities total management system.

  • Recently, BIM proliferates at high speeds so that BIM planning is trying to be used in various kinds of engineering. However, when using different software during design phase and construction phase, the problem of mutual compatibility is coming out. Even the BIM technology has been used or the practical applicability has been made into result, it would be fair to say that BIM has limitations in the visual level. In this research, it is meaningless to obtain the BIM result as the primary purpose. As the usefulness of it is judged incomplete, we committed to master the trend and problems of terrain spatial information systems and BIM. Furthermore, the plan of building the BIM in the civil field, especially the civil-BIM based on the technology ofterrain spatial information has been presented. It can be judged through this research that the high-capacity DB of BIM occurred during the whole process may cause poor performance of the following stage the structure system which connects the terrain spatial information and civil-BIM. In order to manage the optimal full cycle, the spatial analysis technology of the stages after choosing the DB has been described.

Development and Verification of Eco-hybrid Rolling Mat for Preventing Bank Erosion Based on Large-scale Experiments (실규모 하천 실험을 통한 하안침식 방지 Eco-hybrid 롤링매트 공법 개발 및 검증)

  • Optimum engineering methods for bank protection were classified based on steepness of bank slope and an existence of waterfront facility in the floodplain, and a new concept of eco-hybrid rolling mat method which could be applicable for the unfitted cases with previously developed countermeasures was suggested in this study. The eco-hybrid rolling mat method can be constructed while maintaining the river environment and ecosystem that does not interfere with the ground and slopes, when bank erosion occurs, it is an economical and efficient construction method that can protect the revetment and the bank slope immediately. The developed eco-hybrid rolling mat method was verified for the designed structure, system, function and effect based on large-scale river experiments including field exposure and decomposition test. As a result, the normal operation and effect of the rolling mat ted under low and high velocity conditions were confirmed with respect to bank protection. The effect of bank erosion prevention was quantitatively validated by sediment concentration monitoring and analysis, and the product specification of the eco-hybrid rolling mat was presented based on the standardized mat applied in real-scale tests.

Development of EPC Business Process Management Model for Improving Plant Project Management (플랜트프로젝트 사업관리 업무절차 개선을 위한 EPC 수행단계별 BPM모델 개발)

  • Plant construction is being a motive power of national economic growth, because it is a higher value-added business which has enormous influence through other industry. But, plant projects management of the domestic company was poor. So, the development of EPC Business Process Management method has been encouraged. Therefore, this paper performed several researches for setting up the EPC Business Process Management Model for improving plant project management. And the details are as follows. First of all, this study collected the work procedure manuals of 12 large-sized international construction companies. Secondly, from the analyzing gathered EPC work procedure manuals, issues of work procedure manuals were analyzed and improvement plans were drawn out. Basis on this, This study presents a method to improve project management for EPC plant project. 'The Work Procedure Matrix for EPC Management' and 'Key Unit Works for EPC Management' were drawn out by using overseas construction management theories and international regulations. In addition, 'The EPC Business Process Management Models' reformed to the Business process method, that is the set of specifications, documents and procedures used to manage the EPC plant project. And it describes how the EPC work procedure manuals will be used. Finally, this study suggests the model of EPC Business Process Management System. The framework of Plant project management can be clarified by using 'The Work Procedure Matrix'. And 'Key Unit Works' are used to organize the work procedure needed to improve plant projects management. The results of this study will help to improve in project management efficiency for plant construction.

A Production Planning System for Assembly Process of Offshore Structure Modules (해양구조물의 모듈조립공정을 위한 생산계획법)

  • Considerable number of offshore platforms have been built in Korean shipyards ever since 1976. Unlike for the cases of building ships, however, negligible efforts have been made to establish planning methodology for building onshore platforms. Severe congestion has been shown in the processes of assemblying modules of platforms. The module which is the upper part of a platform is a steel structure accommodating various types of outfittings and machinaries. The production planned without proper consideration on allocating work loads by trade used to show severe interferences among trades of workers and resulted in delayed completion. In this paper, a method of planning module assembly in consideration of leveling work loads by trade is discussed. A system of planning has been formulated and tested on a exampled case of producing a mix of 72 modules. The test showed a possibility of saving 31% of manpower and trimming 11% of through put time.
