Edge to Edge Model and Delay Performance Evaluation for Autonomous Driving (자율 주행을 위한 Edge to Edge 모델 및 지연 성능 평가)

  • Up to this day, mobile communications have evolved rapidly over the decades, mainly focusing on speed-up to meet the growing data demands of 2G to 5G. And with the start of the 5G era, efforts are being made to provide such various services to customers, as IoT, V2X, robots, artificial intelligence, augmented virtual reality, and smart cities, which are expected to change the environment of our lives and industries as a whole. In a bid to provide those services, on top of high speed data, reduced latency and reliability are critical for real-time services. Thus, 5G has paved the way for service delivery through maximum speed of 20Gbps, a delay of 1ms, and a connecting device of 106/㎢ In particular, in intelligent traffic control systems and services using various vehicle-based Vehicle to X (V2X), such as traffic control, in addition to high-speed data speed, reduction of delay and reliability for real-time services are very important. 5G communication uses high frequencies of 3.5Ghz and 28Ghz. These high-frequency waves can go with high-speed thanks to their straightness while their short wavelength and small diffraction angle limit their reach to distance and prevent them from penetrating walls, causing restrictions on their use indoors. Therefore, under existing networks it's difficult to overcome these constraints. The underlying centralized SDN also has a limited capability in offering delay-sensitive services because communication with many nodes creates overload in its processing. Basically, SDN, which means a structure that separates signals from the control plane from packets in the data plane, requires control of the delay-related tree structure available in the event of an emergency during autonomous driving. In these scenarios, the network architecture that handles in-vehicle information is a major variable of delay. Since SDNs in general centralized structures are difficult to meet the desired delay level, studies on the optimal size of SDNs for information processing should be conducted. Thus, SDNs need to be separated on a certain scale and construct a new type of network, which can efficiently respond to dynamically changing traffic and provide high-quality, flexible services. Moreover, the structure of these networks is closely related to ultra-low latency, high confidence, and hyper-connectivity and should be based on a new form of split SDN rather than an existing centralized SDN structure, even in the case of the worst condition. And in these SDN structural networks, where automobiles pass through small 5G cells very quickly, the information change cycle, round trip delay (RTD), and the data processing time of SDN are highly correlated with the delay. Of these, RDT is not a significant factor because it has sufficient speed and less than 1 ms of delay, but the information change cycle and data processing time of SDN are factors that greatly affect the delay. Especially, in an emergency of self-driving environment linked to an ITS(Intelligent Traffic System) that requires low latency and high reliability, information should be transmitted and processed very quickly. That is a case in point where delay plays a very sensitive role. In this paper, we study the SDN architecture in emergencies during autonomous driving and conduct analysis through simulation of the correlation with the cell layer in which the vehicle should request relevant information according to the information flow. For simulation: As the Data Rate of 5G is high enough, we can assume the information for neighbor vehicle support to the car without errors. Furthermore, we assumed 5G small cells within 50 ~ 250 m in cell radius, and the maximum speed of the vehicle was considered as a 30km ~ 200 km/hour in order to examine the network architecture to minimize the delay.

A Study on the Status of the Oral Health for Seafarers (선원들의 구강보건실태에 관한 조사)

  • To maintain and improve seafarers oral health, I investigated and analyzed the oral health status of seafarers: who are safety training at Korea Institute of Maritime and Fisheries Technology located in Busan. The results of the investigation and analysis are as follows: Two times of brushing teeth a day occupied $51.0\%$ the largest percentage, mixed brushing method was the highest as $39.0\%$, $64.2\% of respondents have recieved teeth scaling. Two or three of times snack intake per day occupied $62.6\%$ the largest percentage. Based on the objects' answer on oral status, the persons answered that my oral status is 'good' $25.9\%$ 'bad' $38.3\%$ occupied The persons with a decayed tooth occupied $78.1\%$ and as for the subjective symptoms of oral disease, $25.6\%$ of respondents answered that I felt sensitivity. Intraoral discomfortable symptoms in the respect of each age, under forty age had dental decay, over forty age had sensitivity of teeth. The more has a intake snack, the more has an oral disease and oral decayed tooth. As a whole of the above results in order to control oral health of the seafarers reasonably, time and economic limiting factors must be solved in the first. In planning oral health education, practicability should be emphasized especially.

  • 토양수분은 지면환경에서 일어나는 수문 및 에너지 순환을 이해하는 데 있어 중요한 기상인자이다. 토양수분 현장관측은 땅속에 매설된 센서에 의해 상당히 정확하게 이루어지만, 관측점 수가 충분치 않아 공간적 연속성을 확보하지 못하는 어려움이 존재한다. 이에 광역적 및 연속적 관측이 가능한 마이크로파 위성센서가 토양수분 정보 획득을 위한 보조수단으로서 그 중요성이 부각되고 있다. 마이크로파 위성센서는 구름 등 기상조건의 제약을 받지 않으며, 1978년 이래 현재까지 여러 위성에 의해 25 km 및 10 km 해상도의 전지구 토양수분자료가 생산되어 왔다. 마이크로파 센서를 이용한 토양수분자료는 동일지점에 대하여 하루 2회 정도 산출되므로 적절한 시간분해능을 가지지만, 공간해상도가 최고 10 km로서 지역규모의 수문분석에 적용하기에는 충분치 않다. 이러한 토양수분자료의 공간해상도 문제 해결을 위하여 다양한 지면환경요소를 활용한 통계적 다운스케일링이 대안으로 제시되었다. 최근의 선행연구들은 대부분 방정식을 이용한 결합모형을 통해 통계적 다운스케일링을 수행하였는데, 회귀식과 같은 선형결합뿐 아니라 신경망이나 기계학습 등의 비선형결합에서도, 불가피하게 발생할 수밖에 없는 잔차(residual)로 인하여 다운스케일링 전후의 공간분포 패턴이 달라져버리는 문제를 안고 있었다. 회귀분석에 잔차의 공간내삽을 결합시킨 회귀크리깅(regression kriging)은 잔차보정을 통해 이러한 문제를 해결함으로써 다운스케일링 전후의 공간분포 일관성을 보장하는 기법이다. 이 연구에서는 회귀크리깅을 이용하여 일자별 AMSR2(Advanced Microwave Scanning Radiometer 2) 토양수분 자료를 10 km에서 1 km 해상도로 다운스케일링하고, 다운스케일링 전후의 자료패턴 일관성을 평가한다. 지면온도(LST), 지면온도상승률(RR), 식생온도건조지수(TVDI)는 일자별로 DB를 구축하였고, 식생지수(NDVI), 수분지수(NDWI), 지면알베도(SA)는 8일 간격으로 DB를 구축하였다. 이러한 8일 간격의 자료를 일자별로 변환하기 위하여 큐빅스플라인(cubic spline)을 이용하여 시계열내삽을 수행하였다. 또한 상이한 공간해상도의 자료는 최근린법을 이용하여 다운스케일링 목표해상도인 1 km에 맞도록 변환하였다. 우선 저해상도 스케일에서 추정치를 산출하기 위해서는 저해상도 픽셀별로 이에 해당하는 복수의 고해상도 픽셀을 평균화하여 대응시켜야 하며, 이를 통해 6개의 설명변수(LST, RR, TVDI, NDVI, NDWI, SA)와 AMSR2 토양수분을 반응변수로 하는 다중회귀식을 도출하였다. 이식을 고해상도 스케일의 설명변수들에 적용하면 고해상도 토양수분 추정치가 산출되는데, 이때 추정치와 원자료의 차이에 해당하는 잔차에 대한 보정이 필요하다. 저해상도 스케일로 존재하는 잔차를 크리깅 공간내삽을 통해 고해상도로 변환한 후 이를 고해상도 추정치에 부가해주는 방식으로 잔차보정이 이루어짐으로써, 다운스케일링 전후의 자료패턴 일관성이 유지되는(r>0.95) 공간상세화된 토양수분 자료를 생산할 수 있다.

Study on development of the remote control door lock system including speeker verification function in real time (화자 인증 기능이 포함된 실시간 원격 도어락 제어 시스템 개발에 관한 연구)

  • The paper attempts to design and implement the system which can remotely check visitors' speech or Image by a mobile phone. This system is designed to recognize who a visitor is through the automatic calling service, not through a short message, via the mobile phone, even when the home owner is outside. In general, door locks are controlled through the home Server, but it is more effective to control door locks by using DTMF signal from a real-time point of view. The technology suggested in this paper makes it possible to communicate between the visiter and the home owner by making a phone call to tile home owner's mobile phone automatically when the visiter visits the house even if the home owner is outside, and if necessary, it allows for the home owner to control the door lock remotely. Thanks to the system, the home owner is not restricted by time or space for checking the visitor's identification and controlling the door lock. In addition, the security system is improved by changing from the existing password form to the combination of password and speaker verification lot the verification procedure required for controlling the door lock and setting the environment under consideration of any disadvantages which may occur when the mobile Phone is lost. Also, any existing problems such as reconnection to tile network for controlling tile door lock are solved by controlling the door lock in real time by use of DTMF signal while on the phone.

A Study on the Direct connection Service Effectiveness in Gyeongbu(KTX) (경부선(KTX) 직결운행 도입 효과에 관한 연구)

  • This study suggests direct connection service which has advantage of high-speed operation of KTX and access convenience of general train, and Pre-feasibility studies on the direct connection service. And analyze transportation demand change by the method as follows; It is to analyze the demand change of before and after KTX operation by previous transport data of Gyeongbu line, and calculate the coefficient of utilization using triggering demand by opening the 2nd phase of Gyeongbu line (Dongdaegu${\sim}$Busan). Through Pre-feasibility analysis, reduction $70{\sim}100$ minutes of train travel time and total revenue will increase about $100 thousand per day. Also, there will be environment-friendly effects of decreasing $CO_2$ emissions. But, Direct connection service need to highly cost ; Buying and Operation cost of KTX train. Therefore, we will be get more correct result of Pre-feasibility study on direct connection service, if there are concrete on buying the KTX action plans.

  • COVID-19, which occurred in 2019, has a strong contagious power, has serious symptoms of infection and after-effects, and death in severe cases depending on the underlying disease and symptoms. As COVID-19 is highly contagious, in Korea, screening clinics have been set up across the country to determine whether or not to be positive for COVID-19 and isolate the infected to prevent the spread of COVID-19. However, there are cases where COVID-19 test applicants flock to screening clinics and cannot receive tests due to longer waiting times, and there is a risk that secondary infections may occur in the atmosphere. In this study, the reservation and notification system can be applied from the existing screening care system to solve spatial constraints, reducing waiting time with screening appointments, and solving population bottlenecks to screening clinics. Taking the COVID-19 pandemic as an experience, we propose a system that can present directions in future pandemic situations. To process real-time data, we use Google's Firebase to use Realtime Database in the cloud environment. Because a real-time database is used, users can check the status of screening clinics in real time through the app, make reservations, and receive notifications about test reservations.

Scenario Planning based on Collective Intelligence Using Wiki (위키를 활용한 집단지성 기반의 시나리오 플래닝)

  • As the complexity and uncertainty of social and economic systems increase, the strategic foresight that actively and effectively responds to the environmental changes becomes important. A wide range of future forecasting methods are available for strategic foresight. Selecting one of the methods depends on several factors such as availability of time and financial resources and the objectives of the exercise. Although trend extrapolation analysis has been used for many years, scenario planning is being widely used by government and corporate as a tool for strategic decision making in recent years. Generally, scenario planning is carried out through workshop, in which experts with diverse backgrounds exchange information, views, and insights and integrate the diverse viewpoints. However, only a small number of experts can participate in a workshop and citizen opinion is not easily transformed into the policy for the scenario exercise due to the limitation of budget and short duration of a project. It is also much harder to develop creative ideas in the workshop because of the limited time and space. In this study, a new scenario process combining scenario workshop and wiki is proposed to overcome the limitation of scenario workshop. This combined approach can be more productive than using scenario workshop alone when developing new ideas. In this study, we applied the combined approach to develop scenarios for the strategic foresight of future media and present suggestions for improving the process.

자동차 분야의 CALS/EC 구축 방향

  • 이미 전자상거래(EC)가 시간적ㆍ공간적 제약을 극복하고 국경을 초월한 새로운 교역시장 (Cyber Market)으로 등장하고 있으며 세계 자동차 산업은 표준부품의 공동개발 및 조달을 통해 중복투자 방지, 신차개발기간 단축 등 전략적 제휴를 통한 공조ㆍ공생체계 구축을 경쟁적으로 추진하고 있으나 국내 자동차업계는 제품개발, 부품조달, 판매 및 A/S 등 모든 부문을 독자적으로 해결함으로써 경쟁력 제고에 역행하는 경향이 있다. 또한 자동차 선진국과는 달리 국제 경쟁력 강화를 위한 CALS/EC 정보 기반 기술의 실질적인 활용이 미흡한 실정이다. 이러한 현실을 개선하기 위해 최근에 자동차공업협회(KAMA)와 현대, 대우, 기아 자동차 3사는 자동차 산업 CALS 추진 모델(Autopia)의 구축을 추진하고 있다. 추진 내용은 자동차 산업의 전체 Life-Cycle인 제품기획 단계부터 설계, 생산, 구매/조달, 고객지원 단계등 전 분야를 3개 부문(신차개발 프로세스, 구매조달 프로세스, 고객지원 서비스)으로 구분되어 있다. 신차개발 프로세스 부문은 차세대 PDM을 통하여 제품개발 사이클 단축을 추구하며 STEP을 통한 범용적 설계정보 교환 체계 구현이 기반이 된다. 또한 업무 흐름의 불투명성으로 인한 업무의 불균형 현상 타파와 설계 변경의 효율적 대응을 위하여 Workflow Management가 동시공학에 바탕을 두고 도입 적용되어야 한다. CAD 데이터를 비롯한 방대한 데이터의 효율적 관리를 위해서는 각 프로세스별로 독립된 정보를 체계적으로 관리할 수 있는 통합 환경(Integrated Data Environment)을 구성하여 각 프로세스에 걸쳐 데이터의 처리효율을 증대하여야 한다. 신차개발 부문의 핵심 기술이면서도 현업 적용이 초기 단계인 Digital Mockup과 Virtual Reality의 적용을 위해서는 3D 모델링이 기본 설계 방법으로 적용되어야 하며 이를 통한 어셈블리 및 부품구조의 관리가 이루어져야 한다. 구매조달 프로세스 부문은 자동차 업계의 공통 EDI/EC 네트워크 구축을 통한 경제적인 인프라 구조와 함께 부품 조달 체계의 간소화를 추구함으로써 자동차 산업의 대외 경쟁력 강화가 이루어 질 수 있다. 공개구매 시스템의 구축을 통하여 완성차별로 전속 계열화된 수직적인 부품조달 체계와 업체간 정보공유의 폐쇄성을 제거할 수 있고 완전 경쟁에 의한 우량 협력업체 발굴 기회의 확대가 용이하다. 이를 통하여 궁극적으로는 Global Vendor망의 구축이 실현될 것이다. 종합물류 시스템이 구현되면 판매는 경쟁체제, 물류는 공동화가 됨으로써 국가적으로 물류 비용의 절감이 엄청날 것으로 예상된다. 전국에 산재되어 있는 1,000여개의 대리점과 7,000여개의 정비업소를 대상으로 한 정비부품 EDI/EC 시스템이 구축되면 고객 서비스의 효율 향상과 함께 정비업소의 물류 및 재고 비용의 감소, 조달 속도의 향상, 조달 업무의 간소화 등의 효과를 보게 될 것이다. 고객지원 서비스는 정비정보 시스템, 산업정보 시스템, 쇼핑몰 시스템, 등록대행 시스템등을 통하여 일반 국민들이 피부로 느낄 수 있는 시스템으로 구축 되어야 할 것이다.

  • The purpose of this study is to develop a on-line design tool for effectively coping with e-Business environment, or product design process into a Cyber model for traditional manufacturers which attempts new product development under such environment. It was finally developed as a model named $\ulcorner$Design Vortal Site; e-BVDS) that was based on the structure and style of internet web site. Results of the study can be described as follows ; \circled1 e-Business is based on the Internet. All processes in the context of e-Business require models whose structure and method of use are on-line styles. \circled2 In case that a traditional manufacturing business is converted into e-Business, it is better to first consider Hybrid Model that combines resources and advantages of both such traditional and digital businesses. \circled3 The product design process appropriate for e-Business environment has to have a structure and style that ensure utilization of the process as an Internet web site, active participation by product developers and interactive communication between participants in designing and designers. \circled4 $\ulcorner$e-BDVS) makes possible the use of designers around the wend like in-house designers, overcoming lack in creativity, ideas and human resources traditional business organizations face. However, the operation of $\ulcorner$e-BDVS$\lrcorner$ requires time and budget investments in securing related elements and conditions. \circled5 Cyber designers under $\ulcorner$e-BDVS$\lrcorner$ can easily perform all design projects in cyber space. But they have some limits in playing a role as designers and they have difficulty in getting rewards if such projects completed by them are not finally accepted. \circled6 $\ulcorner$e-BDVS) ensures the rapid use of a wide range of design information and data, reception of a variety of solutions and ideas and effective design development, all of which are not possible through traditional processes. However, this process may not be suitable to be used routine process or tool. \circled7 $\ulcorner$e-BDVS$\lrcorner$ makes it possible for out-sourcing or partners businesses to overcome restrictions in time and space and improve productivity and effectiveness. But such they may have to continue off-line works that can not be treated on-line.

Research Trend analysis for Seismic Data Interpolation Methods using Machine Learning (머신러닝을 사용한 탄성파 자료 보간법 기술 연구 동향 분석)

  • We acquire seismic data with regularly or irregularly missing traces, due to economic, environmental, and mechanical problems. Since these missing data adversely affect the results of seismic data processing and analysis, we need to reconstruct the missing data before subsequent processing. However, there are economic and temporal burdens to conducting further exploration and reconstructing missing parts. Many researchers have been studying interpolation methods to accurately reconstruct missing data. Recently, various machine learning technologies such as support vector regression, autoencoder, U-Net, ResNet, and generative adversarial network (GAN) have been applied in seismic data interpolation. In this study, by reviewing these studies, we found that not only neural network models, but also support vector regression models that have relatively simple structures can interpolate missing parts of seismic data effectively. We expect that future research can improve the interpolation performance of these machine learning models by using open-source field data, data augmentation, transfer learning, and regularization based on conventional interpolation technologies.
