Experimental Analysis of the Healing Effect of Visual Forest Stimulation in Digital Environment (디지털 환경에서 시각적 산림자극의 치유효과에 대한 실험적 분석)

  • This study was conducted to find out the psychological or physiological healing effects of real natural forests and virtual forest experiences using virtual reality (VR) in an artificially-controlled digital environment. To find out this, 81 healthy undergraduate students from C University were experimented on visual forest stimulation effects in the digital environment from September 5 to December 9 in 2022. The experiment evaluated the psychological and physiological healing effects of visual forest stimulation in the digital forest environment (2D, 3D). The SRI (stress response inventory) experiment for analyzing psychological effect showed statistically significant differences among groups. As for the SRI experiment for measuring psychological stress, except Control group, 2D group in the digital environment showed little difference before and after the experiment. But 3D group showed less stress than before. As a result, it was proved that visual forest stimulation in a forest-based digital environment (2D, 3D) reduces psychological stress significantly. And when analyzing how visual forest stimulation changes EEG (electroencephalogram) in the digital environment, alpha waves (RA), which are activated during relaxation or stabilization, were more active than beta waves (RB), which are activated during tension or awakening. This study is expected to be used to create a psychological and physiological healing environment for those who cannot go to a natural forest due to mobility difficulties by providing them visual forest stimulation experiences in a digital environment. It is also expected that the results will be the basis for forest healing in the digital environment and virtual reality programs will help forest healing activities.

Evaluation of Usefulness according to Environmental Change of Auditory and Visual in Pediatric X-ray (소아 X선 촬영에서 청각과 시각의 환경변화에 따른 유용성 평가)

  • Unlike adults, cognitive ability and communication are not accurate in pediatric patients. Therefore movement due to psychological anxiety in X-ray photography is one of the factors that increase repeated irradiation. In order to minimize the rejection of X-ray and to improve the satisfaction of medical service, it is necessary to improve the environment of the radiological room to help psychological stability and to find a positive measure for reduction of radiation dose, including unnecessary. The subjects of this study were 186 pediatric patients from May to July, 2017, who were from 6 months to 36 months, The study group was set up a radiological room without auditory and visual environment changes is A group, except for changes in visual environment, the room where only auditory environmental changes were applied was group B, the auditory environment changes were excluded, and the room where only the visual environment change was applied was divided into group C, the auditory and visual environment changes were applied to the D. In group A, 10 retrospectives were obtained, 7 in group B, 5 in group C, and 2 in group D. Especially in group A and group D, statistically significant at p <0.053 In conclusion, hearing and visual environment changes affected the psychological stability of pediatric patient, and the repeated irradiation was reduced, thus improving the quality of medical services.

  • This study deals with the visual quality in the future urban landscape and architectural environment, and as such, aims to identify a scientific and objective aesthetic and visual quality from the perspective of empirical aesthetics. The empirical aesthetics provides a framework that can be utilized in understanding human perception, consciousness, and behavior and a way to categorize the visual quality and to explain and predict its effect. The study examines various theories on environmental perception, cognition, and some new approaches to environmental aesthetics, and tries to present aesthetic properties that can be applied to environmental design. First, the aesthetic experience in visual perception can be defined as a combined effect of psychobiological properties and human activity, i.e. an interaction between the formal and symbolic signs in environment and the conceptual framework of man. The effect of visual quality differs and varies a great deal, depending on the sociocultural, personal and collective value system, so it is hard to define it in absolute terms. Second, the impact of visual quality and its aesthetic effect has to do with pleasure, preference, the aptitude for survival, and self regulation. Third, aesthetics is one of the areas that can benefit a great deal from an interdisciplinary approach. and an empirical study such as this can be used as a basis for design, planning, and evaluation.

The Assessment of Visual Preference and Landscape Image in Odaesan National Park (오대산 국립공원 경관의 이미지 및 시각선호성 평가)

  • The purpose of this is to suggest objective basic data for the use development and conservation management of the national park through the quantitative analysis of the visual quality included in the physical environment of the Odaesan National Park, for this, spatial images structure of physical elements have been analyzed by factor analysis algorithm and degree of visual quality have been measured mainly by questionnaries. Result of this thesis can be summarized as follows. Factors covering the spatial image of the Odaesan National Park landscape have been found to be the pverall synthetic evaluation, physical, spatial, natural quality and, appeal factors such as the overall the synthetic evaluation, spatial and appeal yield high factor scores. As for the factors determining the degree of visual quality of clear of valley, peculiarity of configuration, natural of trail, harmony of suitable artificaial planting and temple.

  • 연구의 목적은 이러닝 학습환경에서 학습자들의 학습 참여를 촉진할 수 있는 시각적 스캐폴딩을 개발하고 그것이 학습참여, 개별학습, 팀프로젝트학습에 미치는 교육적 효과를 분석하고자 한다. 시각적 스캐폴딩에는 개별 참여도, 팀 참여도, 팀활동에 대한 개인 기여도, 팀간 상호작용 정도가 표상되도록 설계하였다. 시각적 스캐폴딩의 교육적 효과는 실험연구를 통해 분석되었다. 연구결과 이 연구를 통해 개발된 시각적 스캐폴딩은 학습참여도 및 학습성과에 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 분석되었다.

  • 산업사회의 시작과 더불어 근대기업의 탄생과 같이 생겨난 CI는 시장상황의 변화에 따라 경쟁력 강화를 위한 수단으로 실시하게 되었다. 시장환경이 점차 첨단화 ·다변화 ·다양화 ·세분화되기 시작하면서 CI또한 기업의 특성에 따라 그 양상이 달라지고 잇다. CI의 핵심인 아니덴티티란 기업이미지의 지속적 축적의 결과로 사람들이 기업에 대해 품는 감정이나 의지의 총화로서 곧 잠재매상이자 잠재자산인 것이다. 기업의 아이댄티티를 확립하기 위해서는 회사와 관련된 각종 시각물들의 체계적 통제가 필요하며 기업에 따라 시각물의 특정이 다르기 때문에 CI의 개발방향도 달라지게 된다. 시화센터는 32개동의 공구상가, 3개동의 동력상가 5개동의 철재상가와 2개동의 지원상가로 이루어진 산업용재 전문유통상가이다. 따라서 이미지의 주된 요소는 당연히 건물과 여러가지 환경물일 수밖에 없기 때문에 환경디자인 측면에서의 CI가 실시되어야 하는 것이다. 각각의 기능동을 시각적으로 구별하여 하나의 아이덴티티로 체계화하는 작업이 본 연구의 중심내용이다. 본 연구는 현장조사와 설문조사를 거쳐 환경적용에 적합한 기능적 시각체계를 개발한다.

  • People spend most of their time in the indoor environment. Among the various indoor environmental factors, air and thermal environment directly affect human's health and efficiency of work. Therefore, efficient monitoring of indoor environment is highly important. For assisting the residents to understand the state of the indoor environment much easier and more intuitive, this paper analyze the visualization cases of the conventional indoor environment. Then explore the direction of improvement for the visualization method to propose a more effective visualization method. The approach of web and BIM(Building Information Model)-based visualization of indoor environment proposed in this study is composed of four major parts: 1) the generation of the model data of the building; 2) the generation of indoor environmental data; 3) the creation of visualization elements; 4) data mapping. Then it realized through the generating process of visualization results.

  • We propose a graphical object query language called OGPL (Odysseus Graphical Query Language) for Odysseus object databases. By employing simple graphical notations, OGQL provides a user friendly database interface for object databases. OGQL provides a simple graphical notation for advanced features of the object queries such as path expressions including cycles (cyclic queries). Cyclic queries have not been handled in the previous graphical query languages because of their complexity and ambiguity in devising appropriate graphical notations. GOQL also provides a graphical notation for inheritance hierarchy. Since OGQL has been implemented in Java and JDBC standard interface, users can access the remote databases in a web environment and the system has platform-independent architecture.

  • This paper proposes a visual landmark, and presents a parking assistance system using the landmarks. The visual landmark is a feature corresponding to the parking slots, it must be selected considering the parking lot's environment. The parking lot has simple repetitive pattern environment without noticeable features. The previous landmarks are not proper to the parking lot's environment. We propose the visual landmark for this environment. We estimate the vehicle's location using the proposed landmarks, and expect the vehicle's trajectory according to the vehicle's state. The system's inputs are images from the camera fixed to the vehicle. The presented system estimates the vehicle's location using the input images, and assists a driver through displaying the expected vehicle's trajectory from the steering angle. The experimental results showed the proposed landmark's performance and the parking assistance system's performance.

Quantitative Analysis of Landscape in Tokyusan National Park (덕유산 국립공원 경관에 대한 계량적 분석)

Factors covering the spatial image of the Tokyusan National Park landscape have been found to be the overall synthetic evaluation, appeal, spatial, natural quality and dignity factors such as the overall synthetic evaluation, spatial and appeal yield high factor scores. The main factors determining the degree of visual quality are the clearness valley, peculiarity of configuration, natural of trail, harmony of suitable artificial planting and temple.
