A study on folk customs' approach to Kwangcheon Togul (광천 토굴의 민속학적인 접근)

  • Many merchants have dealed in the salted shrimps(Saewoo -Jet) in Kwangcheon. They made the soil cave at headland on beach, so aged Saewoo-Jet in casks in soil cave with fitting temperature($13\~15^{circ}C$ and humidity($85\%$). Kwangcheon where it is gathering and scattering around the country have gained fame in its tastes and the freshness in Korea. Yu Myoun Won made the fresh starts Put it in this cave. Since 1949, the soil cave is used all the time. Ultimately this was getting warehouse business put the salted shimps since 1960. Today, this business is going down, and this warehouse is used for only the aged Period. As the alternative plan, many merchants focus on various fastivals, Saewoo-Jet special area plan, vessel improvement etc, and makes a wish to good sales. Folkway are Guldeagum-Je that they has done before digging the cave, Anteak(sods that care the family dwell in the house) and the October sacrifice have done on Gasin-Je in the soil cave. This cave has used as the refrigator when Saewoo-Jet come in the cave.

Characteristic Analysis of Hybrid Desiccant Cooling System for District Heating in Residential Environment (지역난방에 연계된 하이브리드 제습냉방시스템의 주거환경에서의 성능 분석)

  • A series of field tests on hybrid desiccant cooling systems were conducted in July-August, 2013. The temperature and humidity of the supply and return air, power, and heat consumption were monitored and transferred in real time through the Internet. The performance parameters of the cooling system, namely, cooling capacity and COP (coefficient of performance), were evaluated from the measured data and their variations under outdoor conditions was analyzed. It was found that with increase in the outdoor temperature, the total energy decreases and cooling capacity increases whereas the latter decreases with increase in the outdoor humidity. The COP was also found to increase with the increase in outdoor temperature.

  • 연료전지는 전기에너지와 열에너지를 동시에 사용 할 수 있기 때문에 에너지 효율이 높고 유해 배기물이 거의 없으므로 친환경적이다. 따라서 환경문제가 대두되고 있는 오늘날, 고효율 친환경의 연료 전지는 차세대 에너지원으로 각광받고 있다. 보일러와 계통선에서 열과 전기를 공급받는 기존방식에 비해 연료전지 코제너레이션 시스템의 경우 20%이상 에너지 절감율을 향상시킬 수 있다. 기존 10kW이하의 소용량 발전설비의 경우 대형 발전소와 같은 수준인 30%이상의 전기 효율을 기대할 수 없으나 고분자 전해질 연료전지를 적용할 경우 1kW급에서도 35%의 전기 효율을 기대할 수 있으며 열회수까지 고려할 경우 80%에 가까운 열효율을 달성할 수 있다.(4)연료전지 시스템은 연료전지 스택 이외에, 연료변환장치, 급기설비, 열 및 물관리 설비, 전력변환장치 그리고 제어 장치 등으로 구성된다. 연료전지 시스템 성능은 연료전지 스택의 성능에 가장 의존적인데 연료전지 스택의 성능은 같은 스택이라도 운전 및 제어 방법에 따라서 다양하게 변할 수 있다. 실제로 연료전지 스택 자체의 전기 변환 효율은 최대 40% 까지로 매우 높으나, 다양한 운전 조건에 따라 효율이 30~40% 수준에서 변화는 것이 현실이다. 때문에 시스템을 설계할 때에는 종합화된 시스템 측면에서의 운전까지 고려한 설계와 성능 해석이 필요하다. 그간 연료전지를 활용한 가정용 열병합 발전분야에서는 시스템 설계를 위한 시뮬레이션 기반 성능 해석에 관한 연구가 활발히 진행되어왔다. 하지만 연료전지 스택의 경우 간이화된 성능 모델식을 사용하여 이로 인한 성능 예측모델의 오차가 크게 발생하여 전체 시스템 최적화의 저해요인으로 작용하여왔다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 가정용 연료전지 열병합 발전 시스템을 자체적으로 설계 개발하였으며 이 중 연료전지 스택의 성능모델을 실험기반으로 구축하였다. 먼저 가정용 연료전지 열병합 발전 시스템의 설계는 크게 네 단계로 구분되며 이는 1) 시스템 개념 설계, 2) 연료전지 스택 설계, 3) 주변장치 설계, 4) 제어시스템 설계로 이뤄진다. 연료전지 스택의 성능 모델은 고분자연료전지의 성능에 가장 민감하게 영향을 미치는 온도 및 습도의 변화에 따른 다양한 스택 성능을 예측 가능하도록 개발하였으며 이는 간단한 이론 모델의 구조에 실험 데이터를 기반으로 모델 파라미터를 도출하는 기법으로 이뤄졌다.

  • Monitoring of energy use should be a priority in order to efficiently manage building energy use. Energy use in buildings can be managed by dividing them into energy sources, uses, and ZONE. By energy source, electricity, gas, fuel, and district heating are supplied to run the building's facilities. The purpose can be divided into five main applications, including cooling, heating, lighting, hot water and ventilation, but not many elevators and electric heaters that are difficult to include in the five applications are classified. ZONE Star refers to the comparison or separate management of areas for which the purpose of the building is similar or different. In addition, energy efficiency management requires control of the temperature, humidity, and people who will be measuring energy in the building, and the recent problem of fine dust should directly affect the ventilation of the building.

  • Although the relationship between fermentation and factors such as soil water, redox potential, rootstocks and climatic conditions has been reported, its mechanism of fermentation is still not clear. Transpirations of leaf and fruit at different climatic conditions, influence of soil water potential and atmospheric vapor pressure deficit (VPD) on fermentation were evaluated. Transpiration rate decreased with decreasing soil temperature and soil water potential. Low VPD conditions which occurred during low air temperature and high humidity also decreased transipration rate. These data exhibit that fruit water balance affected by various factors relate to transpiration. Our results also indicate that high hydraulic conductance of root, high soil water potential and low VPD condition exert a significant effect on fermention of oriental melon and so called "water filled fruit".

  • Catenary (Overhead Contact Lines) and Pantograph are used to transmit electrical energy to electric railways. An Arc occurs by unstable contact between catenary and pantograph during electric railways operation, which causes malfunctioning or even an accident. Therefore, to prevent a arc or electric contact loss are required arc detection systems with catenary maintenance capability. This paper describes developing of catenary arc detection system using photo detector in order to detect arc incidence in a indirect way. This developed system can also achieve Video-recordings and environmental conditions such as wire voltage/current, pantograph height, speed, position of electric railways, and temperature/humidity. This system have been evaluated at the section that bounds for dongdaegu from seoul. From the experimental results, the occurrence of arc and intensity of arc are mainly effected by wire voltage/current, pantograph height and speed of electric railways.

  • Ubiquitous society to build basic infrastructure in the power supply and power equipment safety is important. u-City in order to prevent the disaster of u-IT Power Equipment Performance Module and the security for the safety of the u-City is necessary. In this paper, the power unit of u-IT module, temperature sensor, humidity sensor, equipped with sensors arranged throughout the fire, and home distribution boards, Home Network Wall-Pad, Blocker, MPNP black boxes, arc detection, arc safety equipment, outlet of the modular performance evaluation methods and security methods will be studied. u-IT power devices and sensors to analyze the information conveyed by proactive risk and ensure safety, access control, authentication, security safeguards, such as u-IT integrated management system for electrical safety and strengthen the security, safety and security with a u-City will contribute to the construction and operation.

Development of Green Drying System Using Waste Heat from Charcoal Kiln (폐열에너지를 활용한 친환경건조시스템 개발)

  • This study was preformed to investigate the characteristics of the green drying system for utilizing heat wasted during carbonization process. The green drying system utilizing waste heat is one of environment-friendly equipments because it needs no other energies from fossil fuel and etc. In this study, waste heat from three kilns was collected by stainless connection pipe, and in the green drying system the temperature and humidity was hardly changed. Charcoal charecteristics as fixed carbon, refining degree, hardness, pH, calorific value, and charcoal yield were analyzed to investigate kiln performance due to installation of green drying system. As a result, the green dry system installation hardly affected the characteristics of charcoal. In conclusion, the green drying system can be applied to maximize the profit of the farm household income and contribute to reduce fossil energy.

  • Field and pot experiments were conducted for the split application of potash in paddy (Oryza sativa L. cultivar Jinheung.) Production and the experimental results were analysed with regard to the yield of paddy and its yield components. The absence of potash at the reproductive stages such as primodial and heading period but supplied most of the potash at the early growth stages, resulted in an increase of panicles but in a decrease of grain numbers per panicle and yield of paddy. On the other hand, however, the reduced amount of potash application at the earlystage of growth showed a decreased number of panicles and yield of paddy, particulary where lime and fresh rice straw were applied.

Application of CV Cycling to the Activation of the Polymer Electrolyte Membrane Fuel Cell (고분자 전해질막 연료전지의 활성화를 위한 CV 활성화법)

  • The activation process of the membrane-electrode assembly (MEA) is important for the mass production of the polymer electrolyte membrane fuel cell. The conventional activation process for the MEA requires excessive time and hydrogen gas and it might become the barrier for the commercialization of the fuel cell. The conventional activation process is based on hydrolysis of ion conducting membrane. In the study, we suggest the cyclic voltammetry (CV) technique as an on-line activation process and the CV activation process consists of two steps : 1) the humidification of the polymer electrolyte membrane and the electrode with 100% RH humidified nitrogen ($N_{2}$) gas, and 2) the removal step of the oxide layer on the surface of the Pt catalyst with CV cycling. The cycling reduces the activation time of the MEA by 2.5 h and use of hydrogen gas by 1/4.
