A Fast Locking Phase-Locked Loop using a New Dual-Slope Phase Frequency Detector and Charge Pump Architecture (위상고정 시간이 빠른 새로운 듀얼 슬로프 위상고정루프)

  • This paper presents a new fast locking dual-slope phase-locked loop. The conventional dual-slope phase-locked loop consists of two charge pumps and two phase-frequency detectors. In this paper, the dual-slope phase-locked loop was achieved with a charge pump and a phase-frequency detector as adjusting a current of the charge pump according to the phase difference. The proposed circuit was verified by HSPICE simulation with a $0.35{\mu}m$ CMOS standard process parameter. The phase locking time of the proposed dual-slope phase-locked loop was $2.2{\mu}s$ and that of the single-slope phase-locke loop was $7{\mu}s$.

Study on the Characteristics of Control by High Frequency ECU for Braking System (제동 시스템을 위한 고주파수 ECU의 제어 특성 연구)

  • This paper describes the control of a solenoid valve of ESC(Electronic Stability Control) with hydraulic modulator in braking system. ESC ECU(Electronic Control Unit) to control the high-frequency control and slope control method was applied, the surge pressure and EMI(electromagnetic interference) reduction characteristics were studied. The stage of ECU output was added the slope shaping function to reduce electromagnetic emission at higher frequencies. Measurements show that this high frequency ECU manages to reduce the surge pressure and electromagnetic emission by the control of solenoid valve. In conclusion, by using the results of this study for the high frequency ECU control, we could expect enhancement of braking system performance.

  • This paper introduces a pilot CDMA network-based wireless lap time measurement system set up on a ski slope of Yongpyong Ski Resort. The wireless lap time measurement system is one output of U-Sports Project of Gangwon Province, which is intendended for promoting local strategic business and preparation for hosting 2018 Winter Olympic Games at Pyeongchang. A pair of laser sensors is installed at the entry and exit points of a section requiring lap time measurement on a ski slope. Each laser sensor is connected to a sensor node via wire so that the sensor node can detect the time when a skier enters or exits the section. Also each sensor node is connected to a CDMA network via a modem and receives a standard time from a NTP server. Each node executes the NTP algorithm to synchronize its local time to the received server time. As a result of the time synchronization, the sensor nodes maintain its local time within a resolution of at least 10 miliseconds and transmit the time of detection to a central control center. While the wireless lap time measurement system introduced in the paper does not need expensive measurement equipment, the system allows the central control center to provide lap time records in a more convenient manner compared to conventional manual lap time measuremnt methods.

  • This study aims at presenting the planning parameter of ski course by designing Gapyung ski course. This site is located at Hacheon-ri, Gapyung-gun, Kyunggi-do and has an area $1,594,001m^2$. Design objectives of Gapyung Ski Resort were to build the most suitable ski course on the site area and make a comparative ski resort. This design process covers the following : site inventory and analysis; integration of design program and terrain analysis; slope planning and trail balance; comparison with other ski resort. This ski resort was composed of 5 lifts and 10 ski trails which are divided into 2 intermediate course, 3 high intermediate course, 4 advanced course, and I expert course. Total length of slope distance is 8,738m. This ski resort will be developed for advanced skiers and snow boarders who enjoy a mogul and a half pipe course. Therefore, the strategy of this ski resort is marked for target market of high intermediate.

A Study on the Growing State of Taxus cuspidata in Baekwoonsan the High 1 Ski Slope Construction Area in Jeungsun-gun, Gangwon-do (강원도 정선군 백운산 High 1 스키장 슬로프 개발 지역의 주목 생육현황 조사)

  • For the proper tree management of Taxus cuspidata, distributed in the High 1 Ski Slope construction area in Baekwoonsan, Jeungsun-gun, Kangwon-do, the growing states of 323 trees(including transplanted 57trees) are investigated. Tree height, rootcollar diameter, D.B.H., stem condition, apical shoot, dead branch, needle growth condition, 2-year-old needle loss, root condition, tree form are investigated. Taxus cuspidata are mainly growing at the sites, high elevated mountain ridge or slopes facing north. Growing states of Taxus cuspidata, distributed in Baekwoonsan are relatively better than those of Taxus cuspidata and Abies koreana at other subalpine zone in Korea. Damaged trees are mainly due to root-removal through transplanting, root-damages by raising the ground level and digging. Several methods of Taxus cuspidata conservation were suggested.

  • Research in the area of financial portfolio optimization, with the dual goals of increasing expected returns and reducing financial risk, has actively explored various risk measurement indicators. At the same time, the incorporation of various penalty terms to construct efficient portfolios with limited assets has been investigated. In this study, we present a novel portfolio optimization formula that combines the mean-shortfall portfolio and the SLOPE penalty term. Specifically, we formulate this optimization expression, which differs from linear programming, by introducing new variables and using the alternating direction method of multipliers (ADMM) algorithms. Through simulations, we validate the automatic grouping property of the SLOPE penalty term within the proposed mean-shortfall portfolio. Furthermore, using the model introduced in this paper, we propose and evaluate four different types of portfolio compositions relevant to real-world investment scenarios through empirical data analysis.

  • This research is to anticipate problems of Ray's disabled experiment welfare vehicles for 17 drivers with disability, improving them. In addition it is to provide the criteria for ergonomic design based on perspective of drivers with disability by investigating 18 items of usability test. The results are as follows. First, satisfaction degree of Ray, disabled experiment welfare vehicle, was shown to be 3.88 which is higher than normal vehicles whose degree is 3.20. This showed that the disabled experiment welfare vehicle is the one with much improvement. Second, so as to develop a welfare vehicle it needs to take into account some factors including rear slope, wheelchair locker, seat belt, safety grip, and high roof. Third, in case of rear slope, high roof and width of manual or automatic wheel chairs should be considered and motor-operated device should also be taken into account for safety lockers, which make a wheelchair firmly fixed. Moreover, motor-operated seat and rear slope can be chosen for either of the disabled and the elderly.
