규정된 동적응답을 위한 스프링구동 링크기구의 설계 (Design of a Spring-Actuated Linkage for Specified Dynamic Responses)

  • In a vacuum circuit breaker mechanism, a spring-actuated linkage system is used to satisfy the desired opening and closing characteristics of electric contacts. Because the opening dynamics of electric contacts is determined by such a linkage system, the stiffness, free length and attachment points of a spring become the important design parameters. In this paper, based on the energy conservation that the total system energy is constant throughout the operating range of a mechanism, a systematic design procedure of determining the spring design parameters is presented. The proposed procedure is applied to the design of an opening spring for satisfying the specified opening characteristics.

  • 차량현가장치는 주로 운행중 승차감(ride quality)을 향상시키고, 현가장치의 변위(rattle space)를 제한된 범위안에 있도록 유지시켜 주며, 조정안정성(handling performence)을 향상시켜 주는 기능을 수행한다. 승차감을 향상시켜 주기 위해서는 도로 수직입력 및 횡풍등에 의한 외란으로 부터 스프링상질량을 절연 시켜야 하며, 조정안정성을 향상시키기 위해서는 타이어와 지면과의 접촉력변화를 최소화시키면서 타이어가 도로형상을 비슷하게 추종해야 한다. 또한 스프링상 질량과 스프링하 질량과의 충돌이 없이, 또한 현가장치의 각 링크기구들도 충돌없이 일정한 공간내에서 움직여야 하므로 현가장치의 변위는 제한조건내에 존재하여야 한다.(중략)

  • One of the spring-link mechanisms, the air circuit breaker(ACB), was studied to improve the shock-proof characteristics of it. The low-cycle fatigue fracture phenomenon was occurred on the critical link, called h-link, of ACB for the repeated rapid closing and opening operations. To analyze the cause of failure, dynamic FE-analysis on the h-link part of ACB was accomplished with considered the velocity and acceleration of the links per time as boundary conditions, which were obtained by using ADAMS. Then, to reduce the maximum tensile stress on the h-link, three types of h-link were suggested and one of them was selected. Fmm this study, we suggested the process of analysis on the high-speed motion behavior part related low-cycle fatigue fractures.

  • A dynamic model of air circuit breaker with a spring-actuated linkage is derived, and its validation for analysis and design, particularly appropriateness for an analysis of high-speed motion behavior are checked through experiments. The dynamic model is developed through the modeling process based on ADAMS and Pro/Engineer. The simulation results of derived dynamic models for the rapid closing and opening operations are compared with actual responses using a high-speed camera and investigated to validate their usefulness.

  • A linkage mechanism is a device to convert an input motion into a desired output motion. Traditional linkage mechanism designs are based on trial and error approaches so that size or shape changes of an original mechanism often result in improper results. In order to resolve these problems, an improved automatic mechanism synthesis method that determines the linkage type and dimensions by using an optimization method during the synthesis process has been proposed. For the synthesis, a planar linkage is modeled as a set of rigid blocks connected by zero-length translational springs with variable stiffness. In this study, the sizes of rigid blocks were also treated as design variables for more general linkage synthesis. The values of spring stiffness and the size of rigid block yielding a desired output motion at the end-effecter are found by using an optimization method.

컴퓨터 시뮬레이션을 이용한 자동차용 스프링 링크의 경량화 설계 (Light-weight Design of Automotive Spring Link Based on Computer Aided Engineering)

  • It is well known that the targeted fuel efficiency could only be achieved by more than 40% reduction of the vehicle weight through improved design and extensive utilization of lightweight materials. In order to obtain the goal of the weight reduction of automobiles, the researches about lighter and stronger spring link have been studied without sacrificing the safety of automotive components. In this study, the weight reduction design process of spring link could be proposed based on the variation of von-Mises stress contour by substituting an aluminum alloys (A356) having tensile strength of 245 MPa grade instead of SAPH440 steels. In addition, the effect of the stress and stiffness on shape variations of the spring link were examined and compared carefully. It could be reached that this approach could be well established and be contributed for light-weight design guide and the safe design conditions of the automotive spring link development.

구속 받는 유연 매니퓨레이터의 병렬 위치/힘 제어

  • 본 논문에서는 환경에 구속 받는 유연 매니퓨레이터의 힘/위치에 대하여 논하고자 한다. 일반적으로, 유연 매니퓨레이터의 모델링 방법은 분포 정수 모델과 집중 정수 모델로 분류할 수 있다. 전자인 분포 정수 모델을 이용해서는 평면 1 링크, 2 링크를 대상으로 한 위치/힘 제어는 가능하나, 운동 방정식의 복잡성으로 인하여 실시간에서 다 링크 다 관절 유연 매니퓨레이터의 힘/위치를 제어하기는 어렵게 여겨져 왔다. 본 논문에서는 집중 정수 모델링 방법인 집중 스프링 질량 모델(Lumped Spring Mass Model)을 이용하여 환경에 구속받는 유연 매니퓨레이터의 운동 방정식을 산출했다 이 모델을 실험기인 유연 매니퓨레이터 ADAM(Aerospace Dual Arm Manipulators)에 적용하여 실시간 위치/힘 제어 실험을 행하였으며, MATLAB를 이용하여 해석했다. 또한, ADAMS$^{TM}$ FEM를 이용하여 분포 정수 모델을 도출하여, 해석하였으며, 이 결과와 집중 정수 모델을 이용한 MATLAB 해석의 결과, 그리고 실험 결과를 비교 분석하여 본 논문에서 제안한 구속받는 유연 매니퓨레이터의 집중 정수 모델 타당성을 입증시켰다.

스프링구동 메커니즘의 충격 하중을 받는 링크부재의 내피로 특성 향상 (Improvement of Fatigue-Proof Characteristics of Link Members Under Impact Loadings by a Spring-Actuated Mechanism)

  • The air circuit breaker (ACB) with the spring-actuated mechanism was studied to improve the fatigue-proof characteristics of its link. The low-cycle fatigue fracture phenomenon occurred on the critical link, called h-link, of ACB from the repeated rapid closing and opening operations. To analyze the cause of failure, dynamic FE-analysis on the b-link part of ACB was performed considering tile velocity and acceleration of the links per time as boundary conditions, which were obtained by using ADAMS. Also, the S-N curve obtained by experiments was used to investigate requirement on the fatigue-proof characteristics. Then, to reduce the maximum tensile stress on the h-link, three types of h-link were examined and one of them was selected.
