Development of a Durability Estimation System for Horizontal Machining Centers (수평형 머시닝센터의 내구성 예측 시스템 개발)

  • One of the important considerations in designing a machine tool is the durability. In this study, a durability estimation system for horizontal machining centers is developed to evaluate the effects of structural specification and driving condi-tions on the durability. All loads such as weights, inertial forces, cutting force and so on, are automatically transferred from the upper elements to the lower elements by the force flows which can be derived from the structural code of horizontal machining centers. And the external loads applied to the motion elements such as bearings, LM guides, ball screws and ao on, are determined by the equilibrium conditions of force and moment. Especially, the durability of horizontal machining centers is estimated based on the lifes of motion elements operating under the desired driving conditions.

  • Horizontal geothermal heat exchanger is affected by various factors such as pipe length, soil temperature, and outdoor environment. Simulation program is convenient for responding to various factors. The objective of this study was to determine the feasibility of using EnergyPlus to predict exit air temperature through horizontal geothermal heat exchanger in domestic. The correlation coefficient between EnergyPlus results and experimental results was 0.825. The correlation coefficient between EnergyPlus results and mathematical results was 0.722, indicating "The two values can based on Lousi on values can be Our results indicate that it is possible to use EnergyPlus to predict exit air temperature through horizontal geothermal heat exchanger.

  • 수평형 에미터 스위치트 사이리스터(Lateral Emitter Switched Thyristor, LEST)의 고전압 전류 포화 특성을 위한 새로운 보호회로가 제안하였으며 성공적으로 제작 및 측정하였다. LEST의 부유(浮遊, floating) n+ 전압이 보호 MOSFET의 문턱 전압 보다 커지면 보호 회로는 LEST의 동작 모드를 regenerative 상태에서 non-regerative 상태로 전환시킨다. 일반적인 LEST의 전압 전류 포화 특성이 17 V로 제한되는 것에 비해 제안된 회로와 결합된 LEST는 200V 이상의 고전압 전류 포화 특성을 보였으며, Hard Switching Fault(HSF) 단락 회로 상황에서도 $10{\mu}s$ 이상 견디는 단락 회로 유지 능력을 보였다.

  • This paper is performed to investigate of cooling effect and total enthalpy variation on EAHES(Earth-to-Air Heat Exchanger System) that is buried 3m depth and 60m length. Using EAHES, the reduction of the sensible heat is obviously but latent heat is showed increased trend. Although the outdoor average latent heat accounts for 53.2% of total enthalpy, latent heat of the exit air from EAHES was raised as 58%. For improving cooling effect of EAHES, it has to considered that how to remove the latent heat from EAHES.

  • This study have an objective to suggest basic data and measured result of heating performance on water-water type horizontal geothermal heat pump which is based on heating and cooling load calculation result of small residential house. The average temperature during measured periods is $9.4^{\circ}C$ on primary EWT and is $7.6^{\circ}C$ on primary LWT. The temperature difference shows $1.8^{\circ}C$ as average temperature. Because the average outdoor temperature of peak is lager than on December and than on January, the temperature difference between EWT and LWT is bigger that on January than that on December. The system COP is 3.62.

  • The conclusion is derived from the arranged results and using a simulation by determining the shape of an optimum heat pump which is appropriate for small scale houses. It is concluded as 3 meters long for the laying depth of underground piping of the horizontal type geothermal heat pump system in regard to the 5 RT capacity standard that is suitable for a small scale house. The shape of the horizontal type geothermal heat pump system for a small scale house is theThree pipe shape whose trench length is short and pipe length laid in a trench is short. It is 9 for the number of laying pipes that is most appropriate to system.

  • Recently, demand on machine tools has been increased because the machine and automobile industry is booming. Therefore, the machine tools need to have a high accuracy and productivity. To build a high precision machine tool and increase its productivity, structural analysis needs to be carried out for vibration and stiffness of the machine tool before its detail design. However, it is the fact that many manufacturers of machine tools depend on their know-how about design experience. Therefore, in this paper, the static and dynamic analysis is carried out for evaluating a horizontal CNC lathe and then, applied to its detail design. It is positive that the analysis can lead to reduction of design time and improvement of the quality of the lathe as its design proceeds.

  • Geothermal energy can be used with a geothermal heat pump or an earth-to-air heat exchange system (EAHES), which is referred to as a "cooling tube" in Korea. In this study, we suggest EAHES burial guidelines in terms of the parameters of buried pipe length and air velocity regarding the exit air temperature of EAHES. The exit air temperature for EAHES in three regions (Changwon, Busan and Seoul) was calculated with variation in buried pipe length and air velocity at ${\Phi}100mm$ and ${\Phi}200mm$. In conclusion, variation in the buried pipe length is more effective than that of air velocity to achieve the required exit air temperature.

  • 트렌치 게이트 구조를 통해 순방향 전압 강하 손실 없이 기생 사이리스터 래치-업을 억제시키는 새로운 수평형 절연 게이트 바이폴라 트랜지스터 (LIGBT)를 제안하였다. 제안된 소자의 베이스 션트 저항은 정공의 우회로 인하여 감소하였으며, 이에 따라 기생 사이리스터 래치-업이 억제되었다. 제안된 소자의 순방향 전압강하는 트렌치 구조에 의한 유효 채널 폭 증가로 감소하였다. 제안된 소자의 동작 원리 분석을 위해 ISE-TCAD를 이용한 3차원 시뮬레이션을 수행하였으며, 표준 CMOS 공정을 이용하여 소자를 제작 및 측정하였다. 제안된 소자의 순방향 전압 강하는 기존의 LIGBT에 비해 증가하지 않았으며, 래치-업 용량은 2배로 향상되었다. 제안된 소자의 포화 전류는 감소하였으며, 이로 인하여 소자의 강인성 (ruggedness)이 향상되었다.
