Development of Road Information System Using Digital Photogrammetry (수치사진측량을 이용한 도로정보체계 개발)

  • Lately, digital photogrammetry based on the principles of photographic suey has been more and more applied to various high-tech industries and becomes one of more interesting focuses of study than ever. Thus, this study aims to develop a roadway information system by means of digital photogrammetry. Data acquired from digital photogrammetry were processed via Delphi, an object-oriented programming language to develop a computer aided program that allows us to build up the information on road horizontal alignment(BC, EC, R. IP), road vertical alignment and road facilities. And the developed program could maximize the visual effects better than traditional programs, because it used many image data.

  • 최근에는 항측기에 GPS/INS 장비를 탑재하여 사진의 촬영과 동시에 외부표정요소를 직접 결정할 수 있는 Direct Georeferencing 기술의 개발로 인하여 지상기준점측량과 AT과정이 불필요하게 되었다. Direct Georeferencing 기법을 이용하게 되면 외부표정요소를 구하기 위한 전처리 과정을 생략할 수 있다. 따라서 지상기준점을 이용한 사진기 준점측량(AT)을 수행하지 않더라도 수치표고모델만 미리 확보되어 있으면 촬영과 동시에 수치정사사진을 생성할 수 있다. 본 연구에서는 촬영과 동시에 GPS/INS에 의해 획득한 외부표정요소와 항공사진을 이용하여 영상매칭에 의하여 수치표고모델(DEM)을 자동 생성하고, 이 결과를 바탕으로 정사사진을 제작하였다. 실제 도화데이터와 Direct Georeferencing 정사영상과의 오차를 평가한 결과, 표준편차가 X는 약 62cm, Y는 약 76cm 정도가 발생하였다. 이 결과는 축적 1:5,000 수치지도의 정확도 요구를 충분히 만족시킬 수 있는 양호한 결과임을 알 수 있다. Direct Georeferencing에 의한 정사영상의 제작방법은 큰 크기의 과대오차가 발생하는 부분을 수작업 또는 반자동으로 해결할 수 있으면 효율적으로 수치지도를 수정/갱신 할 수 있을 것으로 판단된다.

  • This paper demonstrates the performance of industrial precise measurement using the digital close-range photograrmmetric system based on a off-the-shelf CCTV-type CCD camera. The system was constructed with a CCD camera and a PC with a frame grabber, coupled with digital image mensuration and self-calibrating bundle adjustment techniques. An artificial fish reef with cubic shape was taken as an object for the application test of the system and the digital images were acquired on multi-station convergent network around the object. The geometric calibration of the CCD camera and the phototriangulation of the entire surface of the object was carried out simultaneously by means of self-calibrating bundle adjustment technique. Also the system comprising a high resolution still-video camera Kodak DCS, which high accuracy potential has been already established, were employed in similar network condition. Then the results from two different camera systems were compared in the accuracies of phototriangulation.

  • Lately, Digital Photogrammetry has been increasingly applied to various hightech industries and becomes one of more interesting focuses of study than ever. Thus, this study aims to develop a Road Horizontal Alignment Information System by means of digital photogrammetry. Data acquired from digital photographic techniques were processed using Delphi, an object oriented programming language to develop a computer aided program, that allows us to build the information on Road Horizontal Alignment(Beginning Point of Curve, Ending Point of Curve, Radius, Intersection Point). The developed program could maximize visualization for better analysis compared with traditional programs because it utilizes many image data. Comparing with data from traditional horizontal alignment extraction programs based on the principle of least square method, the data acquired by Horizontal Alignment Information and kinematic GPS showed out of the developed road information systems the improved accuracy of IP value up to about 2m in the direction of X, Y axes, where the accuracy of curve radius(R) becomes enhanced up to about 2.5 m.

Digital Map Updates with UAV Photogrammetric Methods (무인항공사진측량 방법에 의한 수치지도 갱신)

  • Currently, Korea's digital maps are being produced through traditional aerial photogrammetry methods. Aerial photogrammetry is the most economical way to produce a map of a wide area. However, timely survey is not allowed depends on weather condition and it is inefficient for small area surveying in economic point of view. Therefore, it costs too much and needs long time to produce a map for various small areas where are terrestrial changes for updating the map. In contrast, UAV photogrammetry is possible to work even in cloudy weather because of shooting at low altitude below the clouds. It also has excellent mobility and shoot quickly and well suited for small-scale mapping in several places by low cost. In this study, we produced an ortho-photo and digital map with the UAV photogrammetry method using SIFT and SfM algorithm and verified its accuracy to evaluate the applicability for future digital map updates. The accuracy was verified by comparing the results of the ground survey for check points selected on the digital map. Test results show small errors at ±2.6cm in X coordinates, ±2.8cm in Y coordinates and ±5.8cm in height and we could find a possibility that UAV photogrammetry would be fully applicable for digital map updating.

무인항공기를 이용한 해안선변화조사 사례 소개

  • 과거의 해안선조사방법으로는 GNSS가 도입되면서 크게 발전하여 위성측위기를 이용한 현장조사방법과 항공기를 이용한 사진측량 방법이 조사의 주를 이루었다. 그러나, 현재 무인항공기(UAV)를 이용한 저고도 정밀조사 방법이 도입되어 무인항공기를 이용한 정밀사진측량이 가능하게 되었다. 무인항공기 정밀사진측량은 기존 조사방법과 비교시 저비용, 고정밀 성과를 취득 할 수 있다. 무인항공기 정밀사진측량은 해안선변화조사에 적용되어 무인항공기 정밀사진측량에서 취득된 고정밀 정사영상 및 수치표면모형(DSM)자료를 이용해 해안선을 추출하고 해안선변화 지역을 분석하는 자료로 활용되고 있다. 2016년도부터 우리나라 해안선변화조사 사업에 무인항공기를 이용한 조사가 실시되고 있으며 추후 여러 다방면으로 무인항공기를 이용한 다양한 조사가 이루어 질것으로 기대 된다.

  • Digital photogrammetry is one of the powerful tools for surveying in more perceptual ways and exploiting the continuously developing computer technology. Nowadays, digital photogrammetry is being used for a number of industrial measurements and inspections but the automation aspect of this technique is not fully developed yet. Photogrammetric work, which is obtained through usual workflow, delays for a big amount of CGP surveying, interpretation and cadastral information. Therefore through studying ways of reducing the volume of photogrammetric works, financial opportunities for digital photogrammetry can be found. This research is focused on the development of the new workflow and study algorithm in digital photogrammetry. Using this result we can reduce financial expenses and improve technologies of topographic and cadastral plans creation.

  • The close-range photogrammetry is a surveying technique the acquiring the 3D object from 2D geometric appearance shown in the image. Camera treatment is relatively so simple. Camera position refer to the object can be freely adjusted by locating the exposure station at any site. So it is used effectively on a small area or object for survey. In this study, using the digital camera which has capacity of keeping numerical value by itself and easy carrying, we analyze the positioning error according to various change of photographing condition. Also we try to find a effective method of acquiring basis data for 3D monitoring of high-accuracy in sub-pixel degree thorough digital close-range photogrammetry with bundle adjustment for local terrain model generation.
