A Cloud Classification Using Fuzzy Method (퍼지 기법을 이용한 구름 분류)

  • 본 논문에서는 퍼지 기법을 이용하여 구름의 종류를 분석하는 방법을 제안한다. 본 논문에서는 가시 영상과 적외 영상을 대상으로 육지 영역은 RGB 컬러 정보 중에 G 채널 값의 수치가 높고, 바다영역에서는 B 채널 값의 수치가 높다는 정보를 이용한다. 이 정보를 이용하여 육지 영역에서는 R과 B 채널 값을 적용하고, 바다 영역에서는 R과 G 채널 값을 적용한다. 가시 영상과 적외 영상에서 임계치를 적용하여 잡음(구름 이외의 영역)을 제거하고, 잡음을 제거한 영상에서 육지 영역과 바다 영역을 구분한 후, 각 R, G, B 채널 정보를 퍼지 기법에 적용하여 구름 영역을 판별한다. 그리고 가시영상과 적외 영상에 모두 포함된 구름 영역에 대해서는 두 영상을 합성하여 구름을 판별한다. 제안된 기법을 구름 분류에 적용한 결과, 제안된 방법이 기존의 양자화를 적용한 방법보다 구름의 분류 성능이 개선된 것을 확인하였다.

무인항공기를 이용한 해안선변화조사 사례 소개

  • 과거의 해안선조사방법으로는 GNSS가 도입되면서 크게 발전하여 위성측위기를 이용한 현장조사방법과 항공기를 이용한 사진측량 방법이 조사의 주를 이루었다. 그러나, 현재 무인항공기(UAV)를 이용한 저고도 정밀조사 방법이 도입되어 무인항공기를 이용한 정밀사진측량이 가능하게 되었다. 무인항공기 정밀사진측량은 기존 조사방법과 비교시 저비용, 고정밀 성과를 취득 할 수 있다. 무인항공기 정밀사진측량은 해안선변화조사에 적용되어 무인항공기 정밀사진측량에서 취득된 고정밀 정사영상 및 수치표면모형(DSM)자료를 이용해 해안선을 추출하고 해안선변화 지역을 분석하는 자료로 활용되고 있다. 2016년도부터 우리나라 해안선변화조사 사업에 무인항공기를 이용한 조사가 실시되고 있으며 추후 여러 다방면으로 무인항공기를 이용한 다양한 조사가 이루어 질것으로 기대 된다.

  • 본 논문은 화학분리공정 중의 하나인 회분식 흡착공정의 시뮬레이션 방법에 관한 것으로, 편미분방정식을 이용한 회분식 흡착공정 시뮬레이션 방법에 있어서, 편미분방정식 해석기법인 CE/SE 방법(Conservation element and Solution element method)을 사용하여 흡착공정의 모델식을 수치해석하고, 이를 그래픽 사용자 인터페이스(Graphical User Interface) 방식에 의한 사용자편이성이 구현된 회분식 흡착공정 시뮬레이터의 설계와 구현에 관한 것이다. 본 연구를 통하여 공정모델선택 과정에서부터 시뮬레이션 결과의 시각화를 포함하는 결과 처리 과정까지의 작업을 사용자가 독립된 하나의 통합된 환경에서 회분식 흡착공정을 편리하게 시뮬레이션 할 수 있으며, 빠른 시간 안에 정확한 수치해를 구할 수 있게 되었다.

  • This paper reports the application study of the bedding reinforcement under a buried pipeline subjected to differential settlement. Three different field conditions have been considered and evaluated via a finite element modeling. The deformation of a buried pepeline has been evaluated for each boundary condition together with the settlement restraining effects of the bedding reinforcement. A guideline of the bedding reinforcement design has been proposed so as to put it to practical use for general field applications. The design guideline incorporates the procedure and method for the selection of typical sections suggested by conventional empirical approach and for the determination of bedding thickness based on the numberical analysis results performed in this research.

  • Various analytical procedures for the structural behavior of concrete pavement system are studied in order to identify a suitable method which will be incorperated in the pavement management system using nondestructive test and mechanistic evaluation. A typical four layered system is adopted and analyzed using 3 dimensional finite elements, plane strain elements, plates with Winkler foundation, and plates with Burmister foundation. Numerical analysis results of various structural analysis procedures are compared and analized based on displacements and stresses. It is concluded, after analysis of merits and demetits of the procedures, that Burmister foundation analysis procedure is the most sui-table procedure for implementation for the analysis of stresses and displacements because of its accuracy and simplicity.

  • The modified arc-length algorithms for the automatic incremental solution of nonlinear finite element equations proposed by Riks are presented, which comprise the cylindrical arc-length method and the normal arc-length method. These methods are developed to trace the nonlinear path of large displacement problems such as a pre and post bucking/collapse response of general structures. These methods are applied to analyse the nonlinear behavior of arch and shell problems in parallel with the standard and modified Newton-Raphson method.

Trend-based Sequential Pattern Discovery from Time-Series Data (시계열 데이터로부터의 경향성 기반 순차패턴 탐색)

  • Sequential discovery from time series data has mainly concerned about events or item sets. Recently, the research has stated to applied to the numerical data. An example is sensor information generated by checking a machine state. The numerical data hardly have the same valuers while making patterns. So, it is important to extract suitable number of pattern features, which can be transformed to events or item sets and be applied to sequential pattern mining tasks. The popular methods to extract the patterns are sliding window and clustering. The results of these methods are sensitive to window sine or clustering parameters; that makes users to apply data mining task repeatedly and to interpret the results. This paper suggests the method to retrieve pattern features making numerical data into vector of an angle and a magnitude. The retrieved pattern features using this method make the result easy to understand and sequential patterns finding fast. We define an inclusion relation among pattern features using angles and magnitudes of vectors. Using this relation, we can fad sequential patterns faster than other methods, which use all data by reducing the data size.

  • In Digital Terrain Model(DTM), more accurate data acquisition method is of importance. This paper has the purpose of accuracy analysis of progressive sampling method, one of data acquisition method. Especially, The following in accuracy analysis are compared and analyzed. -Comparison and analysis for position error between the digital contour lines using digital terrain model and the conventional contour lines using A-10 Plotter. -Analysis for height error of interpolation points according to application of progressive sampling method. For above numerical tests, Computer Program related to auto-carto of contour lines was made up. As a result of tests, threshold and sampling criterion have close of mutual relation to accuracy. Particularly, it was found that auto-carto of contour lines-threshold of 1.0 m and standard criterion-almost concurred in conventional contour lines.

  • After studying the characteristics of three different evaluation methods of rock load; namely theoretical method, empirical method and numerical method, there were too many limitations for them to be applied on tunnels. Therefore, in this research paper, the method based on numerical analysis is selected to use as this method is the most reasonable one since it considers all parameters that are necessary for rock load estimations, and it also considers the interaction between ground and tunnel support. The critical shear strain concept formulated by Sakurai (1981) was used in order to measure exact rock load values based on numerical analysis. Evaluation on a Level 1 rock load height, which is depicted by the stable region in the graph shows that rock load is not affecting between ground grade 1~3, and it was evaluated that the fourth and fifth grades show less values of rock load height which led to the conclusion of a more economical design of concrete lining.

  • A modified Lanczos method combined with a substructure analysis technique was used for calculating natural frequencies and mode shapes of large structural systems. The method does not require generation and storage of stiffness and mass matrices of the entire structure. It only uses the stiffness and mass matrices of each substucture. No approximating assumptions are required other than the usual assumption of linear elastic system modelled by finite elements. Thus, natural frequencies and mode shapes for the finite element model employed are the same as those with or without the suhstructuring algorithm. To check the efficiency of the proposed method, first ten natural frequencies and the corresponding mode shapes of an open truss helicopter tail-boom structure are calculated by using it.
