  • This studies were conducted to provide the basic information on safflower collections and to identify the variations which could be utilized in safflower breeding programs, The RAPDs was used to clarify the genetic relationships among safflower collections and to classify them into distint genetic groups. Among 30 of 10 mer primers in RAPD analysis, twenty were selected as the appropriate primers for identification of the genetic characters in safflower collections. Amplified PCR showed the highly reproducible bands at $3.0{\sim}0.2kb$. The number of bands amplified with the each primer showed the variations ranged from 2 to 11, with the average of 5.6. Total of 111 bands were identified among 20 selected primers used in PCR reaction and 84 bands (75.7%) showed polymorphism. Based on the similarity value of 0.14 in dendrogram derived from the cluster analysis using RAPD-PCR, the 30 safflower collections were classified into 11 groups. The two main groups, VII and VIII included 7 collections (23%) and 8 collections (27%), respectively. Most of the collections in group VII were the Korean collections (85%).

  • This study aims to calculate optimal travel speeds based on analysis of the AVI data collected in the uninterrupted traffic flow, and the results are as follows. Firstly, we looked into the distribution of the sectional travel times of each probe vehicle and compared the difference in the sectional travel speeds of each probe vehicle. As a result, it is shown that outliers should be removed for the distribution of the sectional travel times. Secondly, there were differences among type 1(passenger automobiles) & type 2(automobiles for passengers and freight) and type 4(special automobiles) in the non-congestion section. thus it was revealed that there is a necessity to remove type 4(special automobiles) when calculating the sectional travel speeds. Thirdly, Based on the results of these, the optimal outlier removal procedures were applied to this study. As a result, it showed that the MAPE was between 0.3% and 2.0% and RMSE was between 0.3 and 2.3 which are very similar figures to the actual average traffic speed. Also, the minimum sample size was satisfied at the confidence level of 95%. The result of study is expected to serve as a useful basis for the local government to build the AVI. In the future, it will be necessary to study to integrate AVI data and other data for more accurate traffic information.

  • To investigate the physiological and biochemical differences between susceptible and tolerant species of Echinochloa species to the foliar applied cyhalofop-butyl and pyribenzoxim herbicides, herbicidal response, the rate of absorption, translocation and metabolism were studied. Among 148 individuals of Echinochloa species collected from 41 sampling sites in Korea which were classified into 7 geographical regions, based on morphological characteristics of plant and seed type, 46 lines were used for further studies. From them, E. crus-galli var. praticola collected from Hwanggan and E. crus-galli var. crus-galli collected from Namyangju were selected as the most susceptible species to cyhalofop-butyl and pyribenzoxim, respectively. Meanwhile, E. oryzicola(from Cheju) and E. crus-galli var. crus-galli(from Asan) were selected as tolerant species to cyhalofop-butyl and pyribenzoxim, respectively. Application of radio-labelled herbicides on the 1st leaf to both susceptible and tolerant Echinochloa species exhibited that the applied $^{14}C$-Cyhalofop-butyl and $^{14}C$-pyribenzoxim were more easily absorbed and translocated into stem tissues than root. Absorption of $^{14}C$-Cyhalofop-butyl increased rapidly at 1 h after application and reached the maximum at 12 h after application. However, the absorption rate of $^{14}C$-pyribenzoxim was not changed. Two metabolites from cyhalofop-butyl-treated plants and one metabolite from pyribenzoxim-treated plants were separated by TLC. The amount of metabolite 1 in cyhalofop-butyl-treated tolerant species was significantly higher than that in the susceptible one, suggesting differences in detoxification ability between susceptible and tolerant species.

  • Korean local collected strains of perilla were analyzed on their protein and amino-acid contents in the seed. The strains analyzed were 80 of which grown in the experimental field of Crop Experiment Station at Suwon in 1991. This experiment was performed to obtain the basic informations on the varietal differences of protein and amino-acid contents and further applied in the breeding project for quality improvement of perilla. The seed protein contents of 80 perilla varieties ranged from 17.9% to 24.6% and the average content was 24.6%. There were no differences in protein contents according to the maturity and 1,000 seed weight, but differed by the seed coat color showing 1.4% higher content in light gray than that of drak brown, which may suggest that the seed coat color could be used as a marker gene for breeding high protein varieties. While the total essential amino-acid contents of collected perilla ranged from 36.41% to 44.85%, the mean of 40.55%, the non-essential amino-acid contents was 47.23%~60.01% with the mean of 55.29%. Moreover, there was high positive correlation between the essential amino-acid contents and seed coat color. The essential amino-acids of perilla has an exceptionally high content of arginine, leucine, but methionine indeed being almost marginal. Of the essential amino-acids, lysine, methionine and valine were contained higher compared with the FAO recommendation level.

  • Estuarine wetlands, which form a distinctive brackish water zone, serve as important habitats for organisms that have adapted to and thrive in this environment. Nonetheless, excessive development and utilization result in artificial disruptions that alter the distinctive functions and attributes of estuarine wetlands. To collect the basic data for the conservation of estuarine wetlands with excellent ecosystems, we investigated the vegetation distribution characteristics and biota status of the Taehwagang River Estuarine Wetland. Data from vegetation surveys have shown that 25 plant communities of six physiognomic vegetation types, including willow vegetation, lotic and lentic herbaceous vegetation, floating/submerged vegetation. In the upper reaches, where topographical diversity was high, various types of wetland vegetation were distributed. In terms of biodiversity, a total of 696 species, including 7 endangered wildlife species, were identified. Due to good ecological connectivity, tidal rivers are formed, brackish water species including various functional groups are distributed around this section. The inhabitation of various water birds, such as diving and dabbler ducks, were confirmed according to the aquatic environment of each river section. The collection of ecological information of the Taehwagang River Estuarine Wetland can be used as a framework for establishing the basis for conservation and management of the estuarine ecosystem and support policy establishment.

  • Recently, various clustering techniques have been studied to efficiently handle data generated by heterogeneous IoT devices. However, existing clustering techniques are not suitable for mobile IoT devices because they focus on statically dividing networks. This paper proposes a probabilistic deep learning-based dynamic clustering model for collecting and analyzing information on IoT devices using edge networks. The proposed model establishes a subnet by applying the frequency of the attribute values collected probabilistically to deep learning. The established subnets are used to group information extracted from seeds into hierarchical structures and improve the speed and accuracy of dynamic clustering for IoT devices. The performance evaluation results showed that the proposed model had an average 13.8 percent improvement in data processing time compared to the existing model, and the server's overhead was 10.5 percent lower on average than the existing model. The accuracy of extracting IoT information from servers has improved by 8.7% on average from previous models.

  • This paper is concerned with departure passengers' dwell time analysis using real system data. Previous researches emphasize the importance of dwell time analysis from perspective of airport terminal planning and non-aeronautical revenue. However, short-term airport operation using passengers' dwell time is considered impossible due to absence of passengers' behavior data. Recently, in accordance with the wave of smart airport, world leading airports are systematically collecting passenger data. So there is high possibility of analyzing passengers' dwell time with the data stacked in the airport database. We conducted dwell time analysis using data from Incheon Int'l airport. In order to handle passenger data, we adapted clustering algorithm which is one of data mining techniques. As a clustering result, passengers are divided into 3 clusters. One is the cluster for passengers whose dwell time is relatively short and who tend to spend longer time in the airside. Another is the cluster for passengers who have near 3 hours dwell time. The other is the cluster for passengers whose total dwell time is extremely long.

  • Recently, there is an increasing demand to quickly identify changes in the field by applying Digital-twin for on-site management control and analyzing changes in real-time data transmitted. When technologies such as Digital-twin are applied, early problem response and quick response to situations are possible. However, in order to maximize the advantages of digital twin technology, a method of collecting and managing sensor data that collects field information at an appropriate period is required. need. In addition, it is necessary to consider how sensor information is transmitted to each management domain and how to identify and respond to abnormal situations so that it can be visualized for each management purpose. In this paper, we propose a method for collecting heterogeneous sensor information and related system configuration for on-site inspection management based on digital twin.

  • Diurnal and seasonal variation of demersal fishes of Asan Bay were studied using seasonal samples collected by an otter trawl from autumn 1989 to summer 1990. For each sampling period, three to five trawl hauls were completed to obtain day and night samples. Of 32 species identified, Chaturichthys stigmatias, Cynoglossus joyneri, Thrissa koreana, Repomuenus lunatus and Hexagrammos otakii accounted for $79.5\%$ of the individuals collected, and C. joyneri, T koreana, H. otakii, Raja kenojei and Kareius bicoloratus constituted $67.1\%$ of the biomass obtained. Apparently, larger number of individuals and greater biomass were collected in night hauls. However, there is no significant difference between day and night samples in community structure, mean abundance and body length of the dominant demersal species. The greatest numbers and biomass of fishes were collected in summer and the lowest in winter. The abundance of fishes in the study area were dependent upon seasonal effects such as temperature.
