Microscopic Study on the Warrants for TWLTL Based on the DHV - Focusing on the Section with Overlapping Left-turn Movements - (설계시간 교통량 기반 양방향 좌회전차로의 설치기준에 관한 미시적 연구 - 좌회전 상충이 발생하는 구간을 중심으로 -)

  • This research focuses on the warrants for the Two-Way Left-Turn Lanes (TWLTL). Using a microscopic traffic simulation tool, two key parameters were investigated herewith. One is a wide range of the Design Hourly Volume (DHV), reflective of recent Korean roadway volume characteristics, that is conventionally reduced from the Average Daily Traffic (ADT). The other is driveway spacing, the length of the middle-lane section where two conflicting left-turn demands often compete for space. In addition, unlike previous researches, the way and the procedure the TWLTL operation is realized in the VISSIM S/W with its add-on application such as VISVAP is clearly stated and described in detail. According to the result of simulations for 10 volume scenarios, as expected, the higher the volume level is, the more delay the left-tuner experience. The Level Of Service (LOS) for most cases was in the range of C and D based on the non-signalized intersection LOS criteria. Furthermore, the TWLTL was found operable up to the volume level of 1,116 and 1,860 vph in heavy direction (equivalent of volume level 7) for 3-lane and 5-lane facility respectively, which covers significant portion of existing two to four-lane highway volumes in Korea.

  • According to the Korean Renewable Energy 3020 Implementation Plan, the installation capacity of renewable energy is expected to increase whereas technology for storing excess electricity and stabilizing the power supply of renewable energy sources is extremely required. Power-to-Gas is one of energy storage technologies where electricity is converted into gas fuel such as hydrogen and methane. Basically, Power-to-Gas system could be effectively utilized to store excess electricity generated by an imbalance between supply and demand. In this study, the economic feasibility analysis of Power-to-Gas reflecting the domestic situation was carried out. Total revenue requirement method was utilized to estimate the levelized cost of hydrogen. Validation on the economic analysis method in this study was conducted by comparison of the result, which is published by the International Energy Agency. The levelized cost of hydrogen of a 100-MW Power-to-Gas system reflecting the current economic status in Korea is 8,344 won kg-1. The sensitivity analysis was carried out, applying the main analysis economic factors such as electricity cost, electrolyser cost, and operating year. Based on the sensitivity analysis, the conditions for economic feasibility were suggested by comparing the cost of producing hydrogen using renewable energy with the cost of producing natural gas reformed hydrogen with carbon capture and storage.

  • Ensuring walkability in a city where pedestrians and vehicles coexist is an issue of critical importance. The relative relationship between vehicle transit and walkability improvements complicates the evaluation of walkability, which thus necessitates the formation of a quantitative standard by which a methodological measurement of walkability can be achieved inside the pedestrian network. Therefore, a model is determined whereby quantitative indices such as, but not limited to, experiences of accessibility, mobility, and convenience within the network are estimated. This research proposes the integration of space syntax theory and the logit path choice model in the evaluation of walkability. Space syntax theory assesses adequacy of the constructed pedestrian network through calculation of the link integration value, while the logit model estimates its safety, mobility, and accessibility using probability. The advantage of the integrated model hence lies in its ability to sufficiently reflect such evaluation measures as the integration value, mobility convenience, accessibility potential, and safety experienced by the demand in a quantitative manner through probability computation. In this research, the Dial Algorithm is used to arrive at a solution to the logit model. This process requires that the physical distance of the pedestrian network and the perceptive distance of space syntax theory be made equivalent. In this, the research makes use of network expansion to reflect wait times. The evaluation index calculated through the integrated model is reviewed and using the results of this sample network, the applicability of the model is assessed.

Analysis on the Correction Factor of Emission Factors and Verification for Fuel Consumption Differences by Road Types and Time Using Real Driving Data (실 주행 자료를 이용한 도로유형·시간대별 연료소모량 차이 검증 및 배출계수 보정 지표 분석)

  • The reliability of air quality evaluation results for green transportation could be improved by applying correct emission factors. Unlike previous studies, which estimated emission factors that focused on vehicles in laboratory experiments, this study investigates emission factors according to road types and time using real driving data. The real driving data was collected using a Portable Activity Monitoring System (PAMS) according to road types and time, which it compared and analyzed fuel consumption from collected data. The result of the study shows that fuel consumption on national highway is 17.33% higher than the fuel consumption on expressway. In addition, the average fuel consumption of peak time is 4.7% higher than that of non-peak time for 22.5km/h. The difference in fuel consumption for road types and time is verified using ANOCOVA and MANOVA. As a result, the hypothesis of this study - that fuel consumption differs according to road types and time, even if the travel speed is the same - has proved valid. It also suggests correction factor of emission factors by using the difference in fuel consumption. It is highly expected that this study can improve the reliability of emissions from mobile pollution sources.

A Study on the Storage-Yield Relationship of Reseroir (저수지의 Storage-Yield에 관한 연구)

  • Basically, there are two ways viewing the reservoir storage-yield relationship., The most common viewpoint is the determination of the storage required at a given reservoir to supply a required yield. This type of problem is usually encountered in the planning and early design phases of a reservoir. The second viewpoint is the determination of yield from a given amount of storage. This often occurs in the final design phases or in re-evaluation of an existing reservoir for a more comprehensive analysis. The purpose of this study is to improve the present methodology estimating the storage-yield relationship for a reservoir design or a reservoir operation. The Residual Mass curve Technique, the slightly modified version of Low Flow Techniques and the Transition Probability Matrix Technique are reviewed and examined for the best fit technique to find the reservoir storage-yield realtionship. The historical data during 1917~1940 at the proposed Hongchun damsite and the synthetic data simulated by Thomas-Fiering model are utilized to examine the reservoir storge-yield relationship with three techniques in detail. After the three techniques which estimate the reservoir storage-yield relationship were reviewed extensively, it was concluded that the Residual Mass Curve Technique and the slightly modified version of Low Flow Techniques were suitable for a preliminary design, but the Transition Probability Matrix Technique Provided satisfactory results as a final design technique because it reflected the variation of a monthly yield as well as seasonlly.

  • The needs for Light Railroad Transit(LRT) have been increased due to the heavy traffic congestions in large cities like Seoul, Korea. Korean government is seeking the LRT system development (including planning, designing, construction, and maintenance and operations) in terms of public-private-partnership (PPP). At the private sector side, it is crucial to estimate the life cycle cost (LCC) to project the cash flow during the O&M period. Since the most construction and O&M cost of LRT project is at the bridge construction, a cost analysis model and a cost breakdown structures (CBS) on LRT bridges are discussed through in depth literature reviews. Construction and maintenance cost of bridges are collected and analyzed. LCC is analyzed by types of bridge superstructures and historical data of repair and rehabilitation (R&R) is investigated. There have been scarce number of LCC analysis on railway bridges. This research delivers a well-defined CBS and maintenance cost data, which will be a great benefit to the systematic maintenance strategy development for railroad bridges.

  • Recently volcanic eruptions and activities occurring in many parts of world have become a common global concern to many countries. The severity of these Volcanic disasters, such as of Mt. Eyjafjallajokull in Iceland and Mt. Merapi in Indonesia, have caused damages and causalities reaching astronomical levels. The infrastructure is categorized into 18sections that appropriately reflecting the survey data collected from various government agents, current inhabitant and engineers to accumulate a database on the priorities and preferences of restoring and reconstructing many kinds of infrastructure and facilities. The survey data was collect by using the "Likert 5 Scale Method" which emphasized the importance and priority of reconstruction and restoration for the specific facilities and infrastructures. The data was corrugated, organized and used in plotting and planning a strategic recovery agenda. The survey results were analyzed and verified to ensure the validity and reliability of the data by using chi-square test. This paper presents that recovery period and recovery cost to the total damage of infrastructure and facilities were used to make a recovery network with implemented construction management method. The research is expected that a more efficient and prompt recovery protocol and recovery plan can be executed and can be use as a reference and database.

  • The purpose of this study is to provide a design and operation technical guideline for meeting the appropriate design criteria to bio-gasification facilities treating organic wastes. In accordance with the government's mid-to long-term policies on bio-gasification and energization of organic wastes, the expansion of the waste-to-energy (WTE) facilities is being remarkably promoted. However, because of the limitation of livestock manure containing low-concentration of volatile solids, there has been increased in combined bio-gasification without installing new anaerobic digestion facilities. The characteristics and common problems of each treatment processes were investigated for on-going 13 bio-gasification facilities. The seasonal precision monitoring of chemicophysics analysis on anaerobic digestor samples was conducted to provide guidelines for design and operation according to the progress of bio-gasification treatment. Consequently, major problems were investigated such as large deviation of organic materials depending on seasons, proper dehumidification of biogas and pretreatment of hydrogen sulfide.

  • 본 논문은 다이아몬드 인터체인지에서의 유고감지모형 개발을 위해 퍼지이론을 응용한 연구를 문서화 한 것이다. 지금까지의 교차로와 일반도로(고속도로가 아닌)에서의 유고감지에 관한 연구는 초기에 불과하다. 기존의 알고리즘들은 필요한 데이터 보존의 어 려움과 유고감지의 특성과 관련된 기술적 어려움을 효과적으로 극복하지 못하고 있다. 본 연구의 목적은 다이아몬드 인터체인지에서의 유고감지를 위한 새로운 모형을 개발하는데 있다. 이 연구를 통하여 개발된 유고감지 모형은 차량차단 유고(lane-blocking incidents) 를 감지하는데, 감지의 범위는 차량차단 유고의 경향이 교통 장황에 특정한 패턴을 형성 하고 그에 따른 신호제어전략의 조정이 요구될 때에 국한된다. 이 모형은 전통적인 통계 치를 이용한 유고감지감 고유의 문제를 해결하며, 보다 정확하고 신뢰성 있는 유고감지를 위해 다양한 교통변수를 이용하여 전체적인 유고의 경향을 포착한다. 또한 이 모형은 실 시간 교통대응 다이아몬드 인터체인지 신호제어 시스템 (real-time traffic adaptive diamond interchange control system)의 구성요소로써 사용되며, 그리고 더 큰 교차로 시스템에의 상용을 위하여 확장이 용역하도록 설계되었다. 본 연구를 통해 개발된 프로 토타입(prototype) 유고감지 모형은 실제의 다이아몬드 인터체인지에 적용되어, 감지율, 오보율, 평감지시간의 세 달로써 성능이 평가되었다. 모형의 성능평가 결과는 무적이었으 며, 퍼지이론은 유고감지에 효과적인 접근방법임을 확인할 수 있었다.투자의 타당성을 실증적으로 보여 주고 있다.산정 절차 정립에 엇갈림 알고리즘을 활용하는 방안을 제시하였다.자함수를 추정한 뒤 이를 이용해 업종, 기업규모, 상품유형별로 적합한 모델(Fixed Effects Model)을 결정하고, 각각에 해당하는 통계모형을 구축하였다. 이 결과 (1) 업종 및 기업규모별로 그룹간에 유의한 특성이 발견되었으며, (2) R&D 및 광고투자는 기업의 시장성과를 설명하는 중요한 변수이나, (3) R&D 투자의 경우는 광고에 비해 불확실성이 존재하는 것으로 나타났고, (4) 수리모형에서 도출된 한계원리가 통계모형에서도 유효한 것으로 드러났다.등을 토대로 한 10대 산업을 육성하기 위하여 과학기술부는 기술수요조사를 바탕으로 49개 주요기술을 도출하여, 과학기술 일류 국가 실현, 국민소득 2만불 달성이라는 국가적 슬로건을 내걸고 “차세대 성장동력” 창출을 위한 범정부차원의 기획과 연구비의 집중투자를 추진하고 있다.달성하기 위해서는 종합류류 전산망의 시급한 구축과 함께 화물차의 적재율을 높이고 공차율을 낮출 수 있는 운송체계의 수립이 필요한 것으로 판단된다. 그라나 이러한 화물전용차선의 효과는 단기적인 치유책일 수밖에 없기 때문에 물류유통 시설의 확충을 위한 사회간접자본의 구축을 서둘러 시행하여야 할 것이다.으로 처리한 Machine oil, Phenthoate EC 및 Trichlorfon WP는 비교적 약효가 낮았다.>$^{\circ}$E/$\leq$30$^{\circ}$NW 단열군이 연구지역 내에서 지하수 유동성이 가장 높은 단열군으로 추정된다. 이러한 사실은 3개 시추공을 대상으로 실시한

  • 분포형 수문모형은 유역을 격자단위로 세분화하여 매개변수를 부여하고, 증발산, 침투, 지표면유출, 중간유출, 지하수유출, 하도흐름 등 여러 가지 수문요소를 해석하는 종합적인 수문모형이다. 지표면에 내린 강우의 증발 및 침투, 유출은 토양수분의 함량에 크게 의존하게 된다. 따라서 토양수분에 대한 적절한 모의가 분포형 수문모형의 정확도를 좌우하는 핵심이라 할 수 있다. 토양수분은 식물의 생장 및 가용수자원 산정 등에 있어서 중요한 요소로서 토양층 상부의 수 미터 내에 존재하는 수분의 양을 일컫는다. 토양수분의 공간적 시간적 특성들은 증발, 침투, 지하수 재충전, 토양침식, 식생분포 등을 지배하는 매우 중요한 요소라 할 수 있다. 강우로 인한 지면과 지표하에서의 순간적인 포화공간의 형성 및 유출의 생성을 포함하는 과정과 증발산 등은 모두 비포화대(vadose zone) 혹은 토양층에서의 토양수분의 함량에 크게 의존하게 된다(이가영 등, 2005) 본 연구에서는 토양수분에 대한 정밀측정 자료가 있는 설마천 유역 범륜사 사면에 대하여 분포형 수문모형의 토양수분 해석 능력을 평가하고자 하였다. 토양수분 모의에 사용된 격자기반의 분포형 수문모형은 미공병단에서 개발한 GSSHA(USACE, 2006) 모형이다. 모형의 입력자료는 정밀토양도와 현장측정에 의한 토양매개변수를 반영하여 구축하였고, 강우 및 기상자료는 2003년 1월 1일 ${\sim}$ 2004년 12월 31일의 1시간 자료를 이용하였다. 모의기간 중 2003년은 초기 토양수분값 등 초기조건의 영향을 줄이기 위한 웜업 (Warm-up)기간으로 설정하였고, 2004년의 모의결과를 토양수분 관측값과 비교하였다.업지역, 상업지역 등과 같이 지형적 특성에 따른 유량측정망을 구축하는 것이다.의 의사결정 지원 도구가 될 것이다. 따라서, 본 연구에서는 도시유역의 물순환 해석을 위한 일련의 과정, 즉 자료의 조사 및 취득에서부터 물순환 해석 모형을 이용한 정량적 현황파악, 물순환 개선 기법 및 평가를 수행함에 있어 주요 착안점 및 실무에서의 기술적 가이드를 제공하고자 하였으며, 보다 세밀한 도시유역의 물순환 해석을 위하여 우리나라와 일본에서 적용이 활발한 물리적 기반의 분포형 모형(WEP, SHER, SWMM)의 적용사례를 통하여 국내 도시하천의 물순환 해석에 활용함에 있어서의 실질적인 적용절차 등을 제시하고자 하였다. 한다.호강유역의 급격한 수질개선을 알 수 있다.世宗實錄) $\ulcorner$지리지$\lrcorner$(地理志)와 동년대에 동일한 목적으로 찬술되었음을 알 수 있다. $\ulcorner$경상도실록지리지$\lrcorner$(慶尙道實錄地理志)에는 $\ulcorner$세종실록$\lrcorner$(世宗實錄) $\ulcorner$지리지$\lrcorner$(地理志)와의 비교를 해보면 상 중 하품의 통합 9개소가 삭제되어 있고, $\ulcorner$동국여지승람$\lrcorner$(東國與地勝覽) 에서는 자기소와 도기소의 위치가 완전히 삭제되어 있다. 이러한 현상은 첫째, 15세기 중엽 경제적 태평과 함께 백자의 수요 생산이 증가하자 군신의 변별(辨別)과 사치를 이유로 강력하게 규제하여 백자의 확대와 발전에
