  • In order to make students more interesting in statistics class, a small visual basic program is introduced. This program, which can be executed through the Excel Macro, can immediately collect many individual questionnaire files that were filled up by participatory students and consolidate into one Excel worksheet.

  • A programming class was conducted in a current discretionary activity time-slot for computer education by using Dolittle which enhances problem solving ability and creativity for the fifth graders in elementary school. Based on this experiment, a correlation between the programming class and problem solving ability, creativity, and interests in programming of children was examined to suggest an outlook for improving the current computer education.

  • 본 연구의 목적은 초등 컴퓨터교육에서 디지털마인드맵을 활용한 컴퓨터 수업이 학습자의 학습흥미도와 초인지 향상에 미치는 효과를 알아보기 위한 것이다. 이를 위해 수원시에 소재한 S초등학교 6학년 1개 학급 26명을 실험집단으로 선정하였다. 실험은 매주 1차시 정보재량시간을 이용하여 4차시에 걸쳐서 진행하였으며, 실험 사전 사후에 학습자들의 학습흥미도와 초인지 검사도구를 통하여 조사하였다. 디지털마인드맵을 활용한 수업이 실제로 학습자의 학습흥미도와 초인지 향상에 효과를 미쳤는지를 확인하기 위하여 면담을 통한 질적평가도 실시하였다. 검사도구를 통해 수집된 자료를 가지고 사전-사후 학습흥미도와 초인지의 평균차이가 통계적으로 유의미한지 확인하기 위해 두 종속표본 t검정을 실시하였다. 연구결과, 디지털마인드맵을 활용한 컴퓨터수업은 초등학생의 학습흥미도 향상에 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 확인되었지만 초인지 향상 면에서 통계적으로 유의미한 차이는 나타나지 않았다. 그러나 면담결과로 미루어 보아 일정부분 초인지 향상에 긍정적인 효과가 있음을 유추해 볼 수 있었다.

  • 본 논문에서는 코로나19로 인해 최근 2년간 비대면 강의가 일반화 되어졌고, 비대면 강의를 통한 강의의 장단점을 파악하게 되었다. 개인 시간을 중요시 여기는 디지털 네이티브 세대의 특성과 시공간의 제약이 없는 비대면 수업의 편리함은 차츰 정착되고 있으나 비대면 수업으로 인한 집중력 저하, 대면수업 특유의 재미 요소 적용 등이 힘든 문제점 또한 많이 있기에 이를 보완하기 위해서는 차세대 콘텐츠를 활용하여 진화하여야 한다고 생각한다. 국내, 해외 활용 사례를 검토하고, 그 요소를 도출하여 차세대 콘텐츠를 활용하여 본교의 학생에게 적용한 결과 만족도가 향상되었다. 이 결과를 토대로 본 논문에서는 앞으로 차세대 콘텐츠를 활용한 교수법에 대한 연구 방향을 제시하여 더욱 수업의 질적 양적 향상에 기여하고자 한다.

The Effects of Students' Perceptions of Classroom on Self-regulations Strategy Use, Persistent Intention, and Achievement in a Context of Online Science Gifted Education Program (온라인 과학탐구수업에서 학습자의 수업에 대한 인식이 자기조절전략 활용, 수강지속의사, 학업성취도에 미치는 영향)

  • This study examined the effects of students'perceptions of classroom on self-regulatory strategy use, persistent intention, and achievement in an online Science gifted program. The sample included 434 middle and high school students who participated in the 3-months online gifted program. Participants volunteerly surveyed on their perceptions of classroom (appeal, challenge, choice, meaningfulness, academic self-efficacy), self-regulatory strategy use, and persistent intention. Student achievement data was collected from online learning system. Multiple Regression was conducted to analyze the effect of students'perceptions of classroom on various dependent variables. The results of this study showed that (1) students use of rehearsal strategy was positively related to academic self-efficacy among the sub-variables of students'perceptions of classroom and the use of rehearsal strategy was negatively related to challenge; (2) the use of elaboration strategy was positively related to challenge and meaningfulness; (3) the use of time management strategy was positively related to academic self-efficacy and the use of resource management strategy was positively related to challenge; and (4) students' persistent intention was related to appeal, challenge and meaningfulness, achievement was related to challenge.

Case studies and effects of flipped learning applied to western costume history (플립 러닝을 활용한 서양복식사 수업 사례 및 효과 - 고대 메소포타미아 복식을 중심으로 -)

  • The purpose of this study was to develop and examine the effects of flipped learning in ancient Mesopotamian costume history. The flipped learning class was designed to three steps(pre-class, in-class, after-class). Pre-class: Students learned the socio-cultural background of Mesopotamia by watching videos online and Mesopotamian costume with PPT. In-class: Students were evaluated for their prior learning through the quiz. After the quiz, the instructor had a supplementary mini-lecture. Then the advanced learning was progressed with the team project(Mesopotamian costume analysis) by online Louvre Museum. Students made a team presentation and the instructor provided feedback. After-class: The effectiveness of flipped learning was measured based on the students' self-reflective journals and class awareness surveys. As the results, students actively participated in flipped learning and the class was rated appropriate. Students were satisfied with the overall quality of the flipped learning class. The Effect of Flip Learning Classes in reflective journals were shown as 'related flipped learning style,' 'related online Louvre museum project,' 'understanding of cooperative learning,' and 'contents of the class'. In conclusion, the flipped learning applied to Mesopotamian costume history was positive as a learner-centered education.

The Effect of the Cultural Competence in Multicultural Nursing Education by Action Learning (액션러닝 기반의 다문화 간호교육이 문화적 역량 증진에 미치는 효과)

  • This research aims is to confirm the effects of cultural competence of an action learning based teaching method in multicultural nursing education. Cultural competence was composed of cultural knowledge, cultural awareness and cultural acceptance. A total of 118 college students were enrolled in this study. Both before and after learning, the students were guided to fill out a questionnaire regarding culture competence. The students from each group studied multicultural nursing by different teaching types: the Traditional Lecture-based Teaching method (TLT) and Action Learning based Teaching method (ALT). Data analysis was carried out by SPSS 21.0. A pre-post comparison within the group was performed using a paired t-test and the comparison between groups was performed using ANCOVA. The results showed that there was a significant difference in the culture competence in both teaching methods. In addition, ALT showed higher cultural acceptance results than TLT; however, there was no difference in cultural knowledge and cultural awareness between the two groups Therefore, ALT should be considered as a teaching method to enhance cultural competence in multicultural nursing education for Nursing students. Further studies on instructional design according to the task types, nursing performance, and the validity of ALT will be needed.

Research on the Changes of Beginning Science Teachers' Teaching through a Mentoring Program (멘토링 전후의 초임 과학교사의 수업 특징 변화)

  • In this research, we investigated the effect of a mentoring program implemented in science classrooms taught by beginning teachers in order to support their professional development. As a baseline data, we examined the characteristics of beginning science teachers' teaching. Then we explored any changes in mentee teachers' teaching with the implementation of a mentoring program. The three mentor-mentee pairs participated in this study. We explored six teachers' classroom teaching episodes with their videotaped classroom teaching. Using open-ended interviews and group discussions taking place on a regular basis to analyze and compare classes of six teachers, we extracted the beginning teachers' teaching characteristics in light of teaching strategies. The common features of the participated mentee teachers' teaching are analyzed in terms of (1) classroom culture and management, (2) classroom discourse, and (3) science experiments. Through mentoring, mentee teachers recognized that increased and enriched classroom dialogues had an effect on students' content understanding. Mentee teachers also acknowledged not only the necessity of laboratory activities but also the roles and ways of managing the science activities. Ways to help beginning teachers develop instructional professionalism are discussed.

  • 컴퓨터교과는 학생들의 일반적인 학업성취 개인차 요인과 더불어 필수 교과가 아니기 때문에 학교 혹은 교사마다 교육하는 내용이 상이하여 학생들이 상급학교로 진학하였을 때 학생들 간의 수준 차가 심화된다. 이러한 다양한 수준차가 있는 학생들을 교사 1인이 한정된 시간 안에 모든 학생들의 수준에 맞추어 지도하는 것은 대단히 어렵다. 또 넓은 컴퓨터실에서는 학생들의 주위가 분산될 우려가 많으므로 학생들의 행동을 수시로 관리할 필요가 있다. 이러한 컴퓨터교과 실습수업 시에는 보다 효과적인 지도방법이 요구된다. 이에 본 연구에서는 컴퓨터교과 실습지도 방법의 장단점을 분석하고, 컴퓨터교과 실습수업 시 널리 사용되는 시범 실습법의 단점을 보완할 수 있는 도우미학생 활용 시범 실습법을 제안하고, 중학교 컴퓨터 정규교과 시간에 적용하여 그 효과를 검증하였다. 도우미학생 활용 시범 실습법이란 교사는 실습내용을 설명하고, 모든 학생들은 교사의 설명과 동시에 실습을 하며, 도우미학생의 실습내용이 빔 프로젝트를 통해 다른 학생들에게 보여짐으로써 교사의 시범을 대신하는 방법을 말한다. 컴퓨터교과는 설명만으로도 실습 가능한 내용이 많아 이러한 지도방법이 가능하다 이 방법은 실습내용을 최소한의 작은 단계로 구분하고, 각 단계별로 교사의 설명과 개별지도, 모든 학생의 실습과 관찰이 동시에 이루어진다. 이 방법은 교사의 행동이 자유로워 설명과 동시에 개별지도가 가능해 개별지도의 확대를 가져올 수 있으며, 학생들에게 보다 많은 즉각적인 피드백을 줄 수 있으며, 학생들의 행동을 수시로 관리할 수 있다는 장점이 있다. 또한 본 연구에서는 검증도구로 'html 태그' 단원 5차시 분량의 과제수행능력평가도구를 개발하여 사용하였다. 검증결과 학업성취 중하수준의 도우미학생 활용 시범 실습으로 수업한 집단은 통제반과 유의미한 차이가 없었으나, 학업성취 중상수준의 도우미학생 활용 시범실습으로 수업한 집단은 통제반에 비해 과제수행능력에 있어서 유의미한 차이를 보였다 이로써 제안한 지도방법의 효과성을 입증하였다.

A case study on the effect of real-time microblogging activities in offline lecture environments (오프라인 강의식 수업에서 실시간 마이크로블로그 활용 학습활동 효과 사례분석)

  • In-person lectures have structural issues that active communications in the classroom are limited because of the environments where the instructor usually delivers learning contents in a unilateral manner. Therefore, microcontents activities using real-time microblogging were suggested as complementary measures for the lecture in this study. Fourteen students in K University participated in the learning activity for eight weeks using a microblog during instructions. As a result, it was found that participants' positive learning activities increased by producing and collaborating ideas through real-time microblogging. Based on the results, suggestions were made as follows: strategies for the attention to the class, quality management of microcontents, and the development of blended learning design should be more studied further.
