  • This paper presents a study on the DSP controller and IGBT inverter driver design for the power-by-wire(PBW) system using BLDC servo motor. This BLDC servo motor system was realized with DSP(Digital Signal Processor) and IGBT inveter module. The PBW system needs speed control of servo motor for linear thrust action. This paper implements a servo controller with vector control and min-max PWM technique. As CPU of controller, TMS320F2812 DSP was adopted because it has PWM(Pulse Width Modulation) waveform generator, A/D(Analog to Digital) converter, SPI( Serial Peripheral Interface) port and many input/output port etc.

  • Synthetic zinc wave employs Pulsed plane wave as transmit beam with linear time delay curve. The received echoes in different transmit directions at different transmit times are superposed at imaging Points with Proper time delay compensation using synthetic focusing scheme. This scheme. which uses full aperture in transmit, obtains a high SNR image, and also features high lateral resolution by using two way dynamic focusing at all imaging depths. In this Paper, we consider the Problems in realization of synthetic zinc wave. Also. we have applied the scheme to obtain phantom and in-vivo images using a linear array of 5 MHz. In phantom test. experimental images show high resolution over a more extended imaging depth than conventional fixed Point transmit and receive dynamic focusing schemes In-vivo images show that the resolution could not overcome conventional focusing systems because of motion blurring and(or) aberration of tissue. but the frame rate tan be increased by a factor of more than 5 compared to conventional focusing schemes. with competitive resolution at all imaging depths .

  • In this paper, we propose the signal processing techniques for the command link receiver mounted to aircrafts flying at a high speed. In order to acquire the various information transmitted from ground through radio frequency links, the wide received signal range must be guaranteed as well as the carrier synchronization and symbol synchronization be performed correctly within short pulse sections. After the synchronization step, we should be able to achieve theoretical performance of the modulation and demodulation scheme applied as deciding bit and symbol at the time appointed. By test results, we make sure that the proposed signal processing techniques can be effectively applied command link receiver mounted to aircrafts.

  • Although membrane bio-reactor (MBR) has been widely applied for wastewater treatment plants, the membrane fouling problems are still considered as an obstacle to overcome. Thus, many studies and commercial developments on mitigating membrane fouling in MBR have been carried out. Recently, high voltage impulse (HVI) has gained attention for a possible alternative technique for desalting, non-thermal sterilization, bromate-free disinfection and mitigation of membrane fouling. In this study, it was verified if the HVI could be used for mitigation of membrane fouling, particularly the internal pore fouling in MBR. The HVI was applied to the fouled membrane under different conditions of electric fields (E) and contact time (t) of HVI in order to investigate how much of internal pore fouling was reduced. The internal pore fouling resistance (Rf) after HVI induction was reduced as both E and t increased. For example, Rf decreased by 19% when the applied E was 5 kV/cm and t was 80 min. However, the Rf decreased by 71% as the E increased to 15 kV/cm under the same contact time. The correlation between E and t that needed for 20% of Rf reduction was modeled based on kinetics. The model equation, E1.54t = 1.2 × 103 was obtained by the membrane filtration data that were obtained with and without HVI induction. The equation states the products of En and t is always constant, which means that the required contact time can be reduced in accordance with the increase of E.

  • In this paper, we investigated the method of compensation for optical pulse shape distortion due to both chromatic dispersion and SPM(self phase modulation) in a single mode fiber We selected MSSI(mid-span spectral inversion) as compensation method using OPC(optical phase conjugator). We used EOP(eye-opening penalty) parameter in order to evaluate the efficiency of waveform distortion compensation. In this paper, we induced optimum pump power level in optical phase conjugator through analytic method of computer simulation. And we investigated input signal power range being able to maintain stable reception performance under the condition of optimum pump power. We verified the possibility of high performance optical transmission system realization through the inducement and application of optimum pump power, input signal power and in-line amplifier spacing, because power control is important in the compensation for optical pulse distortion.

  • An Acoustic Doppler Current Profiler(ADCP) measures the current velocity and analyzes the degree of turbulence using Doppler effects of ultrasonic waves. Therefore, the autocorrelation or FFT spectrum estimates are obtained for extraction of current velocity in each spatial region. However, if the correlation method does not satisfy the assumption that the return signal spectra are symmetric Gaussian, the large bias errors can occur. Also, the accurate estimation of autocorrelation or FFT spectrum is difficult due to the short acquisition interval when the rapid changes of current velocity occur. Thus, in this paper, the estimation method of the autoregressive spectrum peak is suggested for the accurate current velocity measurement of both symmetric and asymmetric spectra. It is shown that estimation quality can be improved using the suggested method comparing with the conventional methods. Many return signals under the various environment are simulated and the results are compared and analyzed for evaluation of the suggested method.

  • As the data transfer rate between chips gets higher, both crosstalk and SSN (Simultaneous Switching Noise) deteriorate seriously the performance of a system. The proposed interface scheme uses P-CTR and N-CTR(Positive/Negative Constant Transition Rate) which encodes data at both falling and rising edges, where the transition directions of N-CTR and P-CTR are opposite. And the proposed bus system places two P-CTR drivers and two N-CTR drivers alternatively. In the proposed P/N-CTR interface scheme, the signals of neighboring interconnection lines at both sides of a bus will not switch simultaneously in the same direction, which leads to reduction in the maximum crosstalk and SSN compared to conventional interfaces. For verification of noise reduction of the proposed interface scheme, the scheme is applied to several kinds of bit-wide buses with various interconnection structures, and HSPICE simulation was performed with 0.35 ${\mu}{\textrm}{m}$ SPICE parameters. The simulation results show that in the 32-bit or less wide bus, the maximum SSN and crosstalk are reduced to at least 26.78% and 50%, respectively in comparison with the conventional interface scheme.

  • Cryopumps can provide economical profits with a relatively high pumping speed per size. However, it is somewhat doubtful that pumping performance of cryopums, which is very sensitive to the temperature of the adsorption panel, can be maintained or recovered fast for large continuous or impulsive gas loads. The official evaluation items indicating cryopump performance for gas loads are the maximum throughput and the crossover value. There are two other, unofficial but widely used, items, the Ar recovery time and gulp characteristics. Although these evaluation items look absolutely different with each other, there are close relations and even duplications in their test schemes. Therefore, it is necessary to study how to improve practically each test procedure, and combine or unify some procedures.

  • Mass resolution of the time of flight aerosol mass spectrometer for an aerosol component analysis depends on the initial direction and the initial energy of the ions. We have found that the shape of the optimum post focusing electric field is not linear. The maximum electric potential should be applied to the ions whose initial direction is 90 degree. To check on the post focusing effects, we have installed a laser ablation mass spectrometer. By using this LA-MS, we have found that the average energy distribution of the laser ablated ions is 8 eV. To establish the optimum mass resolution, a time delay and a high voltage are needed, and the results of the study show that 1500 nsec, and 3.7 kV are the optimum parameters for our system respectively. The isotope mass signals of copper show a good resolution.

  • In this paper, we propose a wireless transmission scheme that maximizes transmission efficiency per frequency bandwidth in a single carrier modulation scheme. The proposed scheme employs a decision directed channel tracking technique to remove both pilot signal and the guard interval signal between symbols in frames. It performs a raised cosine pulse shaping function with an roll-off factor of 0.05. In addition, 2×2 multiple input and multiple output using two polarized antennas is applied and both equalization and signal separation are performed in the frequency domain. The wireless modem with this technology confirms that the transmission speed of up to 63.3Mbps is achieved under the 5MHz frequency bandwidth
