The Exploring of Educational Meaning on Software Education for a 5-year-old (만5세 소프트웨어 수업에 나타난 교육적 의미 탐색)

  • The purpose of this study is to conduct computational thinking-based software education for a 5-year-old, and to analyze educational meanings. For the study, a total of 10 activities were applied for 50 children at two kindergartens located in Seoul and the collected data were analyzed qualitatively. As a result of the study, the educational meaning that founded to young children in software classes was finding problems in prior experiences, approaching the simulation process with stories, and feeling of interest and achievement through software devices. The educational meanings that founded to the teacher were to ask questions to support the procedural thinking process, to lead the thought process to concrete experiences, and to move between group activities and individual activities appropriately. In the future, research on the effectiveness of computational thinking-based software education should be conducted.

Review of Software Education based on the Coding in Finland (핀란드의 코딩기반 소프트웨어 교육에 대한 고찰)

  • Finland is referred to the country which is conducting the most advanced education in the world with the excellent education policy and the outstanding education system. Historical background and geographical environment of between Finland and Korea is similar in many ways, since the lack of resources, Finland has focused on the fostering the human resources for the growth of the country like Korea. However, because of the recent PISA in 2012 indicated a sharp declined result than before, pointed out the lack of computer related education and national level implementation strategies for a software education of neighboring countries, the discussion on software education in Finland is increased. Thus, the coming 2016 year become a significant year to bring up the opportunity for national growth through software education, Finland government prepared the software education curriculum as a national common required curriculum which will be implemented from elementary school. In this study, we will look through the background of Finland's software education and curriculum, we are going to suggest which might be helpful to set the direction of software education curriculum.

The Effect of Flipped Learning on Learning Motivation in Software Education (플립러닝이 소프트웨어 교육의 학습동기에 미치는 효과)

  • The purpose of this paper is to prove the effect of flipped learning on learning motivation in software education. For this study, the experiment was consisted of experimental group and control group for university of education. They learned software education using Scratch programming for 10 weeks. The experimental group was applied to the flipped learning with online software courses. As a result, post motivation in the experimental group was significantly increased compared to the pre learning motivation. Post- learning motivation is also the experimental group were higher learning motivation significantly compared to the control group. It is hoped this flipped learning as an effective learning strategies base expansion in primary and secondary education as well as high education teaching software in the future.

  • In general, it is this variety of learning methods and teaching tools for embedded software development and deployment training. In this paper, I want to take advantage of the smart robot to learn creative problem-solving methods that are required in embedded software engineering education. It analyzes the effect of creative engineering education with the smart robot and presents for RSPM Engineering Embedded SW teaching methods to improve NCS education. Embedded SW engineering education in a more creative and smart robot, EV3 system was utilized to improve SW programming skills. In this paper, we utilize the EV3 system to the parish through the creative RSPM engineering courses through the survey and analysis of the impact level, interests and program skills and influence in embedded SW engineering education propose for successful embedded software programming skills potential.

Analysis on Kindergarten Teachers' Stage of Concerns about Software Education: An Application of the Concerns-Based Adoption Model(CBAM) (유치원 교사의 소프트웨어 교육에 대한 관심도 분석: 관심중심수용모형(CBAM)을 중심으로)

  • Even though software (SW) education has not been considered part of the current national kindergarten curriculum, in practice there is growing interest in adopting it. Teachers would be expected to play a key role in the successful introduction and implementation of new educational changes, such as SW education. In preparation for its adoption in ECE, it would be useful to determine ECE teachers' perception and attitudes toward early childhood software education. For this study, 219 ECE teachers' level of concern toward SW education was surveyed using the Stages of Concern Questionnaire. It was found that the teachers' level of concern was the highest at stage 0-Unconcerned and that they had high levels of stage management, personal and informational concern. Thus, a non-user pattern was mostly indicated. However, compared to the typical non-user pattern, the pattern aspect close to critical non-user ever appeared to some extent. In addition, a significant difference in the level of concern was shown at all stages depending on the awareness of the necessity for SW education. The teachers with SW training experience showed a higher intensity only at stage 0. There was a statistically significant difference in stages 0 and 6 depending on the future implementation decision. These results will be utilized as a resource in building an ECE teachers' support system according to their level of concern about SW education.

  • 디지털 혁명 시대를 살아갈 학생들에게 컴퓨팅 사고력 함양을 위한 소프트웨어 교육은 필수적이다. 특히 게임 소프트웨어를 개발하는 프로젝트 수업은 학생들의 학습 동기를 유발하고, 흥미로운 학습 환경을 제공할 수 있다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 게임 프로그래밍에 관한 소프트웨어 교육 연구 사례를 분석하고 시사점을 도출하였다. 이러한 연구가 소프트웨어 교육의 목적에 적합한 게임 프로그래밍 교수학습 방법을 개발하는데 도움을 줄 것이라 기대하기 때문이다.

Development of Software Education Program Using Robot for Students with Developmental Disorder

  • In view of the educational effects and social changes of software education, equal opportunities for software education are needed regardless of general students and students with disabilities. However, studies on software education for general students have been actively conducted, but studies on software education for students with disabilities are insufficient. In this study, we developed a robot education software education program for students with developmental disabilities. Developing robot-enabled software education programs for students with developmental disabilities is meaningful in terms of expanding software education opportunities for all. In addition, the robot-based software education program is easy to motivate students with developmental disabilities with low task concentration, short-term memory, and low sociality. Significant changes will be made not only in terms of management capacity, but also in terms of self-efficacy and confidence.

  • 식정보사회로 전환되고 있는 현대 사회에서 국가 경쟁력을 기르기 위해 소프트웨어 교육이 중시되고 있고 이에 우리나라 교육부는 '2015 개정 교육과정'에 소프트웨어 교육을 포함시키고 있다. 초등학교에서는 건전한 정보윤리의식과 태도를 갖고 실생활 다양한 문제를 해결하는 절차를 이해하여 컴퓨팅 사고에 대한 기초 역량을 기르는 것을 목표로 하나 교육과정에서 확보된 17시간의 시수로는 정보윤리의식과 컴퓨팅 사고력 모두를 함양시키기는 어렵다. 이에 본 논문에서는 선행연구들을 통해 도덕성의 4구성요소와 컴퓨팅 사고력에 대해 알아보고 이 두 이론 모두 문제해결과정에 초점을 두고 있다는 공통점을 활용하여 초등 소프트웨어 융합교육을 통해 정보윤리의식과 컴퓨팅 사고력 모두 함양할 수 있는 지도의 실제를 연구해 보기로 하였다.

  • 현재 세계의 IT 업계의 핵심은 하드웨어에서 소프트웨어로 그 중심이 빠르게 이동되고 있다. 이에 따라 세계 각국들은 SW교육의 필요성을 파악하여 SW교육을 정규교과과정에 도입시키려는 노력을 하고 있다. 그 중 에스토니아는 '정보' 과목을 개설하여 프로그래밍 교육을 실시하고 있다. 우리나라는 2015 개정 교육과정 총론을 발표하였으며 오는 2018년부터 초 중 고등학생을 대상으로 SW교육이 실시된다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 에스토니아와 국내의 SW교육과정을 비교하여 국내 SW교육의 한계점을 분석하고 개선방안을 도출하여 국내 SW교육의 발전에 기여하고자 한다.
