Pseudoaneurysms are rare complications of orgthognathic surgery, trauma or other surgical procedures in the head and neck regions. Surgical approach is a routine procedure of bleeding control. However, bleeding control using angiography and embolization can also be an excellent method. We experienced pseudoaneurysm of the inferior alveolar artery occurring after surgical curettage of cystic lesion. The 33-year-old man who underwent surgical curettage of keratocystic odontogenic tumor was presented with severe bleeding in the right mandible ramal inner surface 14 days after the surgical curettage. After hemostasis with vaseline gauze packing and pressure, bleeding temporarily stopped. However, bleeding started after 14 days and soon it has been continued. Finally, the patient was diagnosed as pseudoaneurysm of the inferior alveolar artery from the enhanced-computed tomography images, and angiographic embolization was performed successfully. We report a rare case of pseudoaneurysm of the inferior alveolar artery after benign tumor curettage and review of the previewer's literature.

Fe-Al intermetallic compounds were manufactured by using the field-activated combustion synthesis process. Effects of chemical composition(Fe:Al= 3: 1,2:1, 1:1, 1:2, 1:3), Compaction pressure(150, 250, 350MPa) and electrical resistance on the reaction were investigated in this system. As the molar ratio of Al, compaction pressure and electric field increased, the combustion temperature and velocity were increased. The influences for reaction with current adjust way were investigated in this system. But in the absence of a electric field, the reaction could sustain a nonsteady combustion wave and was not completed. The reaction products were characterized with X-ray, SEM and EDXS to determine the structure and composition.

The eigenfunction expansion method is appled for the wave scattering by a vertical slotted, where both the inertial and quadratic drag terms are involved. Quadratic drag term representing the energy loss is linearized by the application of socalled equivalent linearization. The drag coefficient, which was empirically determined by Yoon et al.(2006) and Huang(2007) is used. Analytical results are verified by comparison to the experimental results conducted by Kwon et al.(2014) and Zhu and Chwang(2001). Using the developed design tool, the effect of energy loss by a vertical slotted wall is estimated with various design parameters, such as porosity, submergence depth, shape of slits and wave characteristics. It is found that the maximum value of energy loss across the slotted wall is generated at porosity value less than P = 0.1. The present solutions can provide a good predictive tools to estimate the wave absorbing efficiency by a slotted-wall breakwater.

The rectus abdominis muscle is versatile alone or as a musculocutaneous flap and useful for defects of moderate size requiring well vascularized tissue in the extremities. The muscle is long, thin and thus well suites for the hand, anterior tibial and ankle defects. The anatomical location makes dissection convenient for the working teams simultaneously in the same field. Authors have performed rectus abdominis free muscle transplantation in 10 cased to fit defects or cavities in the lower extremities at Chonbuk National University Hospital from June 1992 through August 1994. The results were as follows: 1. 7 cases of the 10 were exposed lower extremities from the vehicle trauma and rectus abdominis free muscles were transplanted at average of the 40th hospital day. 2. In chronic osteomyelitis, saucerization and parenteral antibiotics infusion therapy were combined with in 2 cases. 3. 9 of 10 cases were in complete success except 1 case, 67-yrs-old female, who was sustained the high-energery motor vehicle trauma. 4. Split thickness skin graft was performed on the well-grown surface of the rectus abdominis muscle in the extremities at the 4th postoperative week and taken well without any complications.

According with variations in principal agronomic traits of fourteen malting barley cultivars as affected by different seeding methods and seeding rates. the analysis and interpretation of correlation coefficients and path coefficients was intended. From all treatments (seeding methods and rates), the positive significant relations detected between flowering days and maturing days, however the negative between maturing days and culm length, number of grains per spike, yields, and between 1000 grain weight and one liter weight, respectively. Direct effects on the yields were greatest by number of grains per spike in case of narrow-spaced row seeding and number of spikes per m$^2$ and number of grains per spike among others in broadcast seeding method On the other hand, indirect effects were not recognized in any treatments.

The aim of the study was to investigate the effect of surgical therapy combined with the usage of metronidazole gel in the treatment of juvenile periodontitis by comparing clinical indices of flap operation along with application of metronidazole gel and flap operation only. Comparing clinical indices of the baseline, 3 months after surgery, 6 months after surgery statistically, the results are as follows; 1. Bleeding on probing (BOP) was decreased significantly both in the experimental group and the control group at 3 months after surgery (p<0.05). BOP increased 0.9% in the control group 6 months after surgery, while in the experimental group, decreased 4.7% (p>0.05). However, there was no statistically significant difference in these groups (p>0.05). 2. Pocket probing depth (PPD) was decreased significantly both in the experimental group and the control group at 3 months after surgery (p<0.05). PPD increased 0.lmm in the control group 6 months after surgery, while in the experimental group, no increase of the depth could be observed (p>0.05). However, there was no statistically significant and difference in these groups (p>0.05). 3. Loss of attachment level(LOA) was decreased significantly both in the experimental group and the control group at 3 months after surgery (p<0.05). LOA increased 0.2mm in the control group 6 months after surgery, while in the experimental group, increased 0.3mm However, there was no statistically significant difference in these groups (p>0.05). In conclusion, flap operation was effective on the treatment of juvenile periodontitis. However, combined therapy of metronidazole gel could not give rise to any significant adjunctive effect on the treatment outcome.

Adenomatoid odontogenic tumor(AOT) is an infrequent odontogenic tumor which arise in the jaw. It was considered as a variant of ameloblastoma. The adenomatoid odontogenic tumor is clearly benign and, in contrast to the ameloblastoma, present a very low recurrence. It most often appears in the canine region of the maxilla. The adenomatoid odontogenic tumor is frequently asymptomatic, however it may cause painless swelling. The radiological findings of adenomatoid odontogenic tumor frequently share characteristics of dentigerous cyst and unicystic ameloblastoma. Conservative surgical enucleation and curettage are the treatment of choice. In this case a 10-year-old child was presented with mandibular right lateral incisor in unerupted. Radiographically, the tooth was impacted and a radiolucency was seen in the area. The lesion was enuclated without extraction of the tooth. Bracket was attached on the tooth for orthodontic extrusion installed. Histopathologically adenomatoid odontogenic tumor was revealed.

Neurocutaneous melanosis is a rare congenital syndrome characterized by the presence of large or multiple congenital melanocytic nevi and benign pigment cell tumors of the leptomeninges. Neurocutaneous melanosis is thought to represent an error in the morphogenesis of embryonal neuroectoderm. We experienced a neonate who presented with giant, dark colored pigmented nevi covering chest, abdomen, neck and arms, with satellite lesions. Magnetic resonance image showed a nodular hyperintense lesion in the amygdala of the right temporal lobe, and T1-weighted images showed hyperintensities in the adjacent leptomeninges. We report a rare case of neurocutaneous melanosis with a brief review of related literature.

The purpose of this study is to develop data base and interface for sofa consumers and sofa designers. The human sensibility ergonomics method was used to find the consumer needs and Quality Function Deployment (QFD) method was used to extract the designing characteristics required for sofa production. About 200 words and 100 images were gathered from sofa and furniture related catalogs and internet sites to find the best emotional words and images that can express the various sofa aspect. Among the collected words and images, 34 emotional words were selected for sensibility experiment according to the opinions of experts, relations of closeness and frequency of use, and 50 images were selected for the experiment by the diversity. Selected words and images were used for the semantic differential method with 94 subjects, and sensibility characteristics of sofas were defined through various statistical analysis methods including basic statistical analysis, factor analysis and multi-dimensional scale. In reflecting design characteristics of sofas, design factors of sofas were divided into backrest, seat, armrest, neck support and leg, and relative importance of each factor for design was determined with analytic hierarchy process (AHP) by utilizing the experts' opinions. Based on the results above, relationship analysis between emotional evaluation results and design factors was performed. Also, as various sofa images are presented diagrammatically through multidimensional scaling method, it can be used as an important tool for the development of sofa design. This study will contribute improving the product quality of sofas as it enables applying consumer needs into the sofa design.

The sprinkler system is regarded as the most effective fire extinguishing system. In this study, we proposed a sprinkler layout optimization framework based on fire simulation and mathematical programming. As a case study, the target space in the form of ordinary residence was set up with the size of $5.2m(L){\times}5.4m(W){\times}2.4m(H)$, and we constructed the fire scenario that polyurethane couch was ignited through carelessness. And we simulated and analyzed fire speed, temperature change and heat release rate according to the type and number of sprinklers installed. Through the formulation of installation and damage costs depending on sprinklers, the sprinkler layout showing optimal performance was resulted from mathematical programming.
