Purpose: Chondroblastoma of bone is rare with the potential for local recurrence and metastasis. A retrospective review of 30 patients with chondroblastoma of bone treated at a single institution during a 24-year period was conducted to determine the clinical outcome and relevant prognostic factors. Materials and Methods: Thirty patients with biopsy-proven chondroblastoma of bone, treated between September of 1981 and September of 2005, were retrospectively reviewed. There were 16 men and 14 women with an average follow-up period of 7.2 years (range, 1.6~21.2). The most common sites were the distal femur (n=7), proximal humerus (n=6), proximal tibia (n=6) and proximal femur (n=4). The average age of the patients was 20 years (range, 12~47) with closed physes in 20 patients(67%.) Twenty-seven patients(90%) were treated by curettage of the tumor with or without bone grafting or cementing. Three patients(10%) were treated with en bloc resection. Clinical and pathological factors reported to be associated with poor outcome were analyzed. Results: Four local recurrences(13%) developed in postoperative 4, 6, 7 and 16 months. These patients underwent further curettage (once in 2 patients and twice 2) and had no further recurrence. All patients showed no evidence of disease at the final follow-up. Local recurrence developed in the two cases which removal of the tumor was incomplete. Curettage and bone-grafting (1) and cementing (1) were performed in the two other cases with local recurrences. In contrast, no local recurrences were observed in the 3 cases treated with en-bloc resection. The status of physes or the histologic presence of aneurysmal bone cyst, the anatomic location of the tumor did not affect local recurrence. Conclusion: Adequate removal of the tumor with aggressive curettage or en bloc resection seems to be necessary to prevent local recurrence in chondroblastoma. The status of physes, the histologic presence of aneurysmal bone cyst or the anatomic location of the tumor was not related with local recurrence.

This paper presents a comparative study on numerical and wave-maker generated waves. The wave-makers employed to carry out the experiments have mathematical forms. The linear and quadratic models were tested. When it comes numerical analysis, the authors used the FLUENT which is widely used commercial code. Only two dimensional cases were considered. The experiments were done in a small wave flume. The waves were generated for various frequencies to examine the characteristics of the water waves. The comparison of the numerical and wave-maker generated waves were made.

The shift to more practical and simpler lifestyle in the modern society is well reflected in people's preference when it comes to living room space and sofa designs. These elements are intentionally crafted to satisfy the customers' personal needs and wants, sense of comfort, aesthetic preference, and function. This study includes an analysis on the development and conceptualization of sofa designs, exterior materials, and colors of the furniture released by Hanssem, Livart, Borneo, Emons, and Jangin Furniture during the first half of 2007. Modern and practical sofas should be essentially designed according to the customers' demand and current trend. Such design principle is necessary to achieve and maintain competitiveness in the globalizing society.

In this study, the impact problems are brought up and the formulation by isoparametric element is attempted for the purpose of analyzing the response characteristics of laminated plate receiving impact load based on the first-order shear deformation theory expanded from the Mindlin plate theory. The result of static analysis and dynamic analysis is drawn through the numerical analysis rectangular and circular plates of antisymmetric Angle-Ply laminated plate using the finite element method and the analysis on each displacement is compared.

For the last few years, the wholesale market system in Japan has been experiencing a lot of changes in the related sectors. The greatest changes in the environments surrounding the wholesale market were enlargement of the producers' cooperatives, increase of fisheries products marketed in the outside of the wholesale market system, and management aggravation of the related businessmen, These changes resulted in the revision of the wholesale Market Law in 1999 to cope with the social needs successfully. Recently, fisheries wholesale markets in Japan have a few problems like declining of earning power, weakening of management constitution, etc. Consequently, Japanese government presents policy for enforcing the competition power through reform laws related with fisheries wholesale markets. Also the fisheries wholesale markets have been trying variety and active countermeasures like undertaking, merger, coalition, etc. to overcome the crisis.

In this paper, a numerical model to analyze the performance of a vertical slit-type wave absorber is developed under the assumption of inviscid water waves. The formulation combines the linear potential theory with a semi-empirical description of the eddy-shedding at a slit-type wave absorber. We investigated the reflection coefficients over a wide frequency range for a vertical slit-type wave absorber both with and without a solid rear wall. Model test was conducted at KRISO' s two dimensional wave tank to validate the theoretical results. It is found that the agreement between theoretical results and experimental data is surprisingly good. We found that the wave absorbing system using a vertical slit plate has sufficient potentials for breakwaters for ocean development.

Various types of coastal structures have been constructed to prevent coastal disasters. Among these coastal structures, submerged breakwaters have been used more widely than all of the other coastal structures because of their excellent advantages in scenery effects, construction efficiency, and environmental benefits. This study investigated the potential of the horizontal plate submerged breakwater model. Usually, it is necessary for a submerged breakwater to minimize and compensate for the negative impacts on the marine environment and ecosystem caused by the marine construction. Thus, the prevention of coastal disasters was verified for this submerged breakwater model, regardless of its function as a fish reef. The purpose of this study was to investigate the hydraulic characteristics with changes in the crest width and porosity of a horizontal plate submerged breakwater and compare the results of this study with the results of other studies on permeable and impermeable submerged breakwaters.

This study was full-scale combustion test for flame growth characteristics and temperature characteristics analysis to predict the risk of household Items fire when fire occurs. Experimental results, Refrigerator flames were the highest measured in 15 min time, and Washing machine is between 20 ~ 30 min, Drawer is 5 min, Sofa was enabled up to the size of the flame 15 min. In addition, the maximum combustion temperature was found from the time 20 min ~ 25 min, Sofa is temperature was elevated up to $1190^{\circ}C$, Refrigerator is $1,162^{\circ}C$, Drawer is $822^{\circ}C$, Washing machine appeared to be rising up to $670^{\circ}C$. Therefore, in the case of the maximum temperature of combustion Sofa it showed relatively high.

Recently, Korean society is increaseing "1 person family" phenomenon, which is influenced by changing of young peoples' value, aging society and social economic problems. Increase of single households is a result of complex economic, cultural and social factors. It is because as the individual's financial independence increases due to elevated income and education level, the age of marriage is going up and the individualism, which values the individual's value rather than custom, is spreading. Therefore, this new phenomenon will be impact to between social, economic value structure and living space. An increase with small furnitures are also increasing of R&D and marketing plans for 1 person family. Currently, 1 person family is bigger than last decade and that is requiring more suitable and multi-functional furniture for them. However, in Korea furniture companies are more optimization to traditional family size. Thus, this research explore about developing cheap price sofa bed, which is using at narrow area and small place.
