소음의 영향권을 파악하기 위해 사용하는 실측/측정망 자료의 한계점, 소음의 전달특성, 장애물들의 영향 등을 보완하기 위해 소음지도 모델링 방법을 최근에 많이 사용하고 있다. 소음지도 모델링 방법은 소음원의 입력, 예측인자의 설정방법, 예측 소음도들의 분석방법에 따라 결과값에 많은 영향을 미친다. 2개 지역에서 공동주택의 노출소음도 산정을 위한 수음점 설정방법과 노출인구 산정을 위한 대표소음도 산정방법에 따라 총 5가지로 나누어 소음 노출인구 산정 결과를 비교 분석하였다. 분석 결과 소음도 구간별 노출인구수를 비교해보니 두 지역 모두 실제와 가장 유사하게 모델링한 기준 방법(Base)과 비교하여 대표소음도를 최고소음도로, 베란다측 노출만을 고려하여 간략화한 방법(M2-1)이 가장 유사한 결과를 나타냈다. 또한, 대표소음도를 최고소음도로, 일정간격 노출로 간략화한 방법(M1-1)은 과대평가, 평균 소음도를 사용한 방법(M1-2, M2-2)은 과소평가될 가능성이 있는 것으로 나타났다.

Assessment of noise exposed population is a method for checking the degree of environmental noise and social influence in order to reduce the risks such as annoyance and disturbance that are generated by environmental noise. Also, this method suggests the preferential noise reduction policy and action plan by accurately assessing the area that noise causes harm to human health. Recently, a noise map, which can predict noise in comprehensive areas, is used for the assessment of noise exposed population, breaking from the methods using existing measures. In particular, countermeasure for the noise can be considered more effectively by using assessment methods of noise exposed population for specific noise levels, areas, and building types which are the main input factors in noise maps. In this study, Assessment methods of noise exposed population by using 2D noise map are compared with those by 3D noise map.

Noise maps can be widely used to estimate the effect of various kinds of existing noise on people and to predict the future noise situation resulting from urban development projects, etc. In particular, countermeasure for the noise can be considered more effectively by using assessment methods of noise exposed population for specific noise levels, areas, and building types which are the main input factors in noise maps. In this study, effective assessment method of noise exposed population is presented by manufacturing facade noise maps depending on Korean house types.

Noise map is a presentation of existing data or predicted noise situation in terms of noise indicator. However, it has shortcoming for assessing the number of people exposed, or the number of dwellings affected to any relevant limit values of noise level in certain areas. In this study, so called over-ride value noise mapping is proposed to make up for the shortcoming by using over-ride function of object-oriented programming and it is to show the guard of the area where it is satisfied the standard of option, or it is not satisfactory. Over-ride value noisemap data is combined with topography layer, population and house statistics, and GIS space statistical analysis. The over-ride value noise mapping can also he applied to make the road traffic noisemap, the railroad noisemap, the aircraft noisemap, and the industrial site noisemap This can express noise damage information more exactly.
