Template-free Hydrothermal Synthesis of High Phase Purity Mordenite Zeolite Particles Using Natural Zeolite Seed for Zeolite Membrane Preparation (제올라이트 분리막 제조를 위한 유기주형 없는 고순도 모데나이트 제올라이트 입자 수열합성에 관한 연구)

  • In this study, the natural mordenite (MOR) zeolite seeds were used for the synthesis of high purity mordenite crystals. The effect of seed concentration and crystallization time on the phase purity and surface morphology of MOR crystals has also been reported. The diffraction, elemental and scanning analysis of MOR zeolite particles obtained from 100 g hydrothermal solution batch containing 3 g natural seed, hydrothermally treated at $140^{\circ}C$ for 72 h reveal the high phase-purity of as-synthesized sample having crystals of uniform size ($1-2{\mu}m$). Moreover, high seed concentration leads to the production of mesoporous MOR particles composed of needle shape primary nano crystallites. The gases adsorption performances of as-synthesized MOR particle were carried out at $25^{\circ}C$ and 0-1 bar. Surprisingly, MOR particles show good adsorption potential for $CO_2$ (97.19 mg/g) compared to other gases. Thus it confirms that high purity MOR particles can be synthesized without using any organic template which gives an advantage of separation performance at lower price.

Investigation of the influence of substrate surface on the ZnO nanostructures growth (기판 표면의 영향에 의한 ZnO 나노 구조 성장에 관한 연구)

  • The effect of substrate surface to the formation of ZnO nanostructures has been investigated using Si (111), $Al_2O_3$(C-plane) $Al_2O_3$(A-plane), and $Al_2O_3$(R-plane) substrates. The growth temperature was controlled from 500$^{\circ}C$ ${\sim}$ 600$^{\circ}C$, and the luminescence properties were investigated by a series of photoluminescence (PL) measurements at the elevating temperatures. ZnO nanostructures grown on Si substrate show strong UV emission intensity along with green emission positioned at 3.22 eV and 2.5 eV, respectively. However, green emission was not observed from the ZnO nanostructures grown on $Al_2O_3$ substrates. It is explained in terms of the difference of the surface energy between Si and $Al_2O_3$. Also, the origin of UV emissions has been discussed by using the temperature-dependent PL. The distinction of the PL spectra is interpreted in terms of the difference of the impurity included in the nanostructures.

Consumer Innovativeness and Consumption Behavior of New Sauce Products for the Japanese Consumer (일본 소비자의 혁신성과 신제품 소스에 대한 소비 행동 분석)

  • Objectives: This study analyzed Japanese consumers on their sauce consumption, and assessed the relationship between consumer innovativeness and consumption behavior for new sauce products. Methods: The survey was completed by local consumers visiting Korean restaurants in Osaka, Japan, in September 2018. The demographic characteristics, consumption of sauce, consumer innovativeness, and factors of theory of planned behavior were evaluated. Totally, 150 collected data were analyzed using the IBM SPSS Statistics 25.0 Program (IBM SPSS INC, Armonk, NY, USA). Results: Results of the survey indicate that Japanese consumers purchase a sauce by considering the taste and food utilization. Sauce purchases were maximum at mega markets and supermarkets. The consumer innovativeness for Japanese consumers was based on 3 factors: 'Purchasing adventurous products (3.51 ± 0.96)', 'Active information seeking (4.36 ± 1.11)', and 'Interactive information seeking (4.33 ± 1.02)', where the tendency of 'Active information seeking' was the highest innovativeness factor. Furthermore, higher values of perceived behavior control (4.68 ± 1.21), attitude (4.66 ± 1.41) and subjective norm (4.39 ± 1.28) were revealed, when assessing for theory of planned behavior factors. Correlating the variables of consumer innovation and factors of planning behavior theory, 'Active information seeking' is a positive attribute for attitude (p<0.016), subjective norm (p<0.001), and perceived behavior control (p<0.002). These 3 factors also had significantly positive effects on purchase intention for new sauce product (p<0.000, p<0.000, and p<0.002, respectively). Attitude was determined to be another very influential variable for purchase intention of a new sauce product (B=0.484, t=6.881). Conclusions: The results of this study determine the consumption patterns of sauce for the Japanese consumer, and the relationship between consumer innovativeness and consumption behavior for Korean traditional sauces. We believe the data generated from this study will help determine a marketing strategy to enter the Japanese market.

  • Given the attributes of mobile apps that shorten the time to make purchase decisions while enabling easy purchase cancellations, usability can be regarded to be a highly prioritized quality attribute among the diverse quality attributes that must be provided by mobile apps. With that backdrop, mobile app developers have been making great effort to minimize usability hampering elements that degrade the merchantability of apps in many ways. Most elements that hamper the convenience in use of mobile apps stem from those potential errors that occur when GUIs are designed. In our previous study, we have proposed a technique to analyze the usability of mobile apps using user behavior logs. We proposes a technique to detect usability hampering elements lying dormant in mobile apps' GUI models by expressing user behavior logs with finite state models, combining user behavior models extracted from multiple users, and comparing the combined user behavior model with the expected behavior model on which the designer's intention is reflected. In addition, to reduce the burden of the repeated test operations that have been conducted by existing developers to detect usability errors, the present paper also proposes a mobile usability error detection automation tool that enables automatic application of the proposed technique. The utility of the proposed technique and tool is being discussed through comparison between the GUI issue reports presented by actual open source app developers and the symptoms detected by the proposed technique.

Study of Selective Etching of GaAs-based Semiconductors using High Density Planar Inductively Coupled $BCl_3/CF_4$ Plasmas (고밀도 평판형 유도결합 $BCl_3/CF_4$ 플라즈마에 의한 GaAs 계열반도체의 선택적 식각에 관한 연구)

  • 이번 연구는 $BCl_3/CF_4$ 플라즈마를 사용하여 반도체소자 제조 시 널리 이용되는 GaAs 계열반도체 중 대표적인 재료인 GaAs/AlGaAs 및 GaAs/InGaP 구조를 선택적으로 건식 식각한 후 분석한 것이다. 공정변수로는 ICP 소스파워를 0-500W, RIE 파워를 0-50W 그리고 $BCl_3/CF_4$ 가스 혼합비를 중점적으로 변화시켰다. $BCl_3$ 플라즈마만을 사용한 경우 (20$BCl_3$, 20W RIE power, 300W ICP source power, 7.5mTorr) 는 GaAs:AlGaAs의 선택비가 0.5:1 이었으며 이때 GaAs의 식각률은 ~2200${\AA}/min$ 이었으며 AlGaAs의 식각률은 ~4500${\AA}/min$ 이었다. 식각 후 표면의 RMS roughness은 < 2nm로 깨끗한 결과를 보여주었다. 15% $CF_4$ 가스가 혼합된 $17BCl_3/3CF_4$, 20W RIE power, 300W ICP source power, 7.5mTorr의 조건에서 3분 동안 공정한 결과 순수한 $BCl_3$ 플라즈마만을 사용한 경우보다 표면은 다소 거칠었지만 (RMS roughness: ~8.4) GaAs의 식각률 (~980nm/min)과 AlGaAs와 InGaP에 대한 GaAs의 선택도 (GaAs:AlGaAs=16:1, GaAs:InGaP=38:1)는 크게 증가하였다. 그리고 AlGaAs 및 InGaP의 경우 식각 시 나타난 휘발성이 낮은 식각 부산물 ($AlF_3:1300^{\circ}C$, $InF_3:1200^{\circ}C$)로 인하여 50nm/min 이하의 낮은 식각률을 보였고, 62.5%의 $CF_4$가 혼합된 $7.5BCl_3/12.5CF_4$플라즈마의 조건에서는 AlGaAs 및 InGaP에 대한 GaAs의 선택도가 각각 280:1, 250:1을 나타내었다.

ECR-PECVD 방법으로 제작된 DLC 박막의 기판 Bias 전압 효과

  • DLC (Diamond-Like Carbon) 박막은 높은 경도와 가시광선 및 적외선 영역에서의 광 투과도, 전기적 절연성, 화학적 안정성 및 저마찰.내마모 특성 등의 우수한 물리.화학적인 물성을 갖고 있기 때문에 여러 분야의 응용연구가 이루어지고 있다. 이러한 DLC 박막을 제작하는 과정에는 여러 가지가 있으나, 본 연구에서는 ECR-PECVD electron cyclotron resonance plasma enhanced chemical vapor deposition) 방법을 사용하였다. 이것은 최근에 많이 이용되고 있는 방법으로, 이온화률이 높을뿐만 아니라 상온에서도 성막이 가능하고 넓은 진공도 영역에서 플라즈마 공정이 가능한 장점이 있다. 기판으로는 4" 크기의 S(100)를 사용하였고, 박막을 제작하기 전에 진공 중에서 플라즈마 전처리를 하였다. 플라즈마 전처리는 Ar 가스를 150SCCM 주입시켜 5$\times$10-1 torr 의 진공도를 유지시키면서, ECR power를 700W로 고정하고, 기판 bias 전압을 -300 V로 하여 5분 동안 기판을 청정하였다. DLC 박막은 ECR power를 700W. 가스혼합비와 유량을 CH4/H2 : 10/100 SCCM, 증착시간을 2시간으로 고정하고, 기판 bias 전압을 0, -50, -75, -100, -150, -200V로 변화시켜가면서 제작하였다. 이때 ECR 소스로부터 기판까지의 거리는 150mm로 하였고, 진공도는 2$\times$10-2torr 였으며, 기판 bias 전압은 기판에 13.56 MHz의 RF power를 연결하여 RF power에 의해서 유도되는 negative DC self bias 전압을 이용하였다. 제작된 박막을 Auger electron spectroscopy, elastic recoil detection, Rutherford backscattering spectroscopy, X-ray diffraction, secondary electron microscopy, atomic force microscoy, $\alpha$-step, Raman scattering spectroscopu, Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy 및 micro hardness tester를 이용하여 기판 bias 전압이 DLC 박막의 특성에 미치는 영향을 조사하였다. 분석결과 본 연구에서 제작된 DLC 박막은 탄소와 수소만으로 구성되어 있으며, 비정질 상태임을 알 수 있었다. 기판 bias 전압의 증가에 따라 박막의 두께가 감소됨을 알 수 있었고, -150V에서는 박막이 거의 만들어지지 않았으며, -200V에서는 기판 표면이 식각되었다. 이것은 기판 bias 전압과 ECR 플라즈마에 의한 이온충돌 효과 때문으로 판단되며, 150V 이하에서는 증착되는 양보다 re-sputtering 되는 양이 더 많을 것으로 생각된다. 기판 bias 전압을 증가시킬수록 플라즈마에 의한 이온충돌 현상이 두드러져 탄소와 결합하고 있던 수소원자들이 떨어져 나가는 탈수소화 (dehydrogenation) 현상을 확인할 수 있었으며, 이것은 C-H 결합에너지가 C-C 결합이나 C=C 결합보다 약하여 수소 원자가 비교적 해리가 잘되므로 이러한 현상이 일어난다고 판단된다. 결합이 끊어진 탄소 원자들은 다른 탄소원자들과 결합하여 3차원적 cross-link를 형성시켜 나가면서 내부 압축응력을 증가시키는 것으로 알려져 있으며, hardness 시험 결과로 이것을 확인할 수 있었다. 그리고 표면거칠기는 기판 bias 전압을 증가시킬수록 더 smooth 해짐을 확인하였다.인하였다.

Silicon doping effects on the optical properties of $In_{0.64}Al_{0.36}Sb$ grown on GaAs substrates

  • 본 논문은 테라헤르츠 소스로 저온 InGaAs를 대체하기 위한 저온 $In_{0.64}Al_{0.36}Sb$의 실리콘(Si) 도핑 농도에 따른 광학적 특성 변화를 photoluminescence (PL)과 time-resolved PL (TRPL) 측정을 이용하여 분석하였다. $In_{0.64}Al_{0.36}Sb$ 시료는 분자선 엑피탁시 (molecular beam epitaxy)법으로 GaAs 기판 위에 약 $420^{\circ}C$에서 $3.7\;{\mu}m$ 두께 성장하였다. Si은 $In_{0.64}Al_{0.36}Sb$ 시료에서 도핑 농도가 낮을 때는 어셉터(acceptor)로 작용하다가 도핑 농도가 증가함에 따라 도너(donor)로 작용하였다. 본 연구에 사용한 $In_{0.64}Al_{0.36}Sb$ 시료의 Si 도핑 농도는 $4.5{\times}10^{16}\;cm^{-3}$ (n형), $4{\times}10^{16}\;cm^{-3}$ (n형), $8{\times}10^{15}\;cm^{-3}$ (n형), $1{\times}10^{15}\;cm^{-3}$ (p형), $4{\times}10^{14}\;cm^{-3}$ (p형)인 다섯 개의 시료를 사용하였다. Si 도핑한 시료의 PL 피크는 undoped 시료보다 약 100-200 nm 단파장에서 나타나고 PL 세기도 크게 증가하였다. 그러나 Si 도핑 농도가 가장 낮은 n형과 p형 시료의 PL 피크가 가장 짧은 파장 (높은 에너지)에 나타나고 도핑 농도가 증가함에 따라 장파장으로 이동함을 보였다. n형 시료의 도핑 농도가 $8{\times}10^{15}\;cm^{-3}$에서 $4.5{\times}10^{16}\;cm^{-3}$로 증가하였을 때 PL 피크는 1232 nm에서 1288 nm까지 장파장쪽으로 이동하였으며, p형 시료는 도핑 농도가 $4{\times}10^{14}\;cm^{-3}$에서 $1{\times}10^{15}\;cm^{-3}$로 증가하였을 때 PL 피크가 1248 nm에서 1314 nm로 이동함을 보였다. 또한 시료 온도에 따른 PL 결과는 온도가 증가함에 따라 PL 피크는 장파장으로 이동하면서 PL 세기는 급격하게 감소하고 약 100 - 150 K에서 소멸하였다. 그러나 ~1500 nm 이상 장파장 영역에 매우 넓은 새로운 피크가 나타났으며 온도가 증가함에 따라 PL 세기가 증가함을 확인하였다. Si 도핑 농도에 따른 운반자 수명시간 변화를 TRPL을 이용하여 측정하였다. 운반자 수명시간은 double exponential function을 이용하여 얻었다. Si 도핑 시료의 운반자 수명시간이 undoped 시료에 비해 매우 길게 나타났으며, Si 도핑 시료에서는 p형 시료들보다 n형 시료들의 운반자 수명시간이 길게 나타났다. PL 방출파장에 따른 운반자 수명시간은 Si 도핑 농도에 따라 다르게 나타났다. 이러한 PL과 TRPL 결과로부터 $In_{0.64}Al_{0.36}Sb$의 발광 특성 및 운반자 동역학은 Si 도핑에 크게 영향을 받는다는 것을 확인하였다.

Factors Attributing to the Formation of N-Nitrosamines in Instant Food (즉석 식품에서 니트로사민이 검출되는 요인 분석)

  • N-nitrosamines can be produced in the process of heating, processing, storage and packaging. Migration specifications for N-nitrosamines exist only for rubber baby bottle nipples, which are regulated by the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety (MFDS). There is no regulation for other food contact substances (FCS) and studies on N-nitrosamines migration from FCS are rather limited. A pilot study showed an increase in N-nitrosamines contents when cooking instant noodles. Thus, the migration from the packaging was suspected and it was necessary to monitor the migration of N-nitrosamines from food packaging materials and to examine the change in N-nitrosamines contents when cooking instant foods. Three N-nitrosamines, NDMA (N-nitrosodimethtlamine), NDEA (N-nitrosodiethylamine), NDBA (N-nitrosodibutylamine), were analyzed in migration test solutions from plastics such as polyethylene, polypropylene and polystyrene, papers and aluminium containers. In all test solutions, N-nitrosamines were detected less than method quantitation limits (MQLs). Food samples were also investigated to ensure that there is no effect from food contact substances when cooking instant foods. In retort sauces such as curry, black soybean sauce and tomato sauce, NDMA concentration was ranged from 0.54 to $3.81{\mu}g/kg$, but there were no significant differences between unheated and heated samples. However, the NDMA contents were significantly increased in most of the instant noodle samples tested when cooked (p < 0.05). No effects from the food contact substances or cooking water was observed. Only when the seasoning powder and noodles were cooked together was NDMA detected. Individual components (noodle, seasoning powder or dried vegetable) or other combinations such as noodles and dried vegetables did not generate N-nitrosamines. Therefore, it is speculated that NDMA may be formed from the precursors in noodles and seasoning powders when they are solubilized in a medium of water.

A Cluster-based Power-Efficient Routing Protocol for Sensor Networks (센서 네트워크를 위한 클러스터 기반의 에너지 효율적인 라우팅 프로토콜)

  • Sensor network consists of a large number of sensor nodes that are densely deployed either inside the phenomenon or very close to it. The life time of each node in the sensor network significantly affects the life time of whole sensor network. A node which drained out its battery may incur the partition of whole network in some network topology The life time of each node depends on the battery capacity of each node. Therefore if all sensor nodes in the network live evenly long, the life time of the network will be longer. In this paper, we propose Cluster-Based Power-Efficient Routing (CBPER) Protocol which provides scalable and efficient data delivery to multiple mobile sinks. Previous r(luting protocols, such as Directed Diffusion and TTDD, need to flood many control packets to support multiple mobile sinks and many sources, causing nodes to consume their battery. In CBPER, we use the fact that sensor nodes are stationary and location-aware to construct and maintain the permanent grid structure, which makes nodes live longer by reducing the number of the flooding control packets. We have evaluated CBPER performance with TTDD. Our results show that CBPER is more power-efficient routing protocol than TTDD.

Design and Implementation of HD-Class VOD Content Management System Based on H.264 (H.264 기반 HD급 VOD 콘텐츠관리시스템 설계 및 구현)

  • Recently, although the requirement of quality of VOD content has been transferred upto the class of HD, conventional management systems characterized by OS dependency are truly limited in quality of video image, stability, and compatibility of network environments. In addition most of the content management systems realize very limited capabilities for the real affairs of content management and distribution services in such an OS dependent environment. In this paper, we propose a new scheme of HD-Class VOD Content Management System to solve these problems. We design and implement the proposed system based on open sources by using H.264 video compression method. The proposed system offers high quality content management method based on opened systems and independent on-line distribution method so that it can be realized as an integrated management scheme for VOD contents. Moreover, our system solves the problems of occasional cutting-down video, small screen, and poor image quality that exist in the conventional wmv-type CMS. According to the result of performance evaluation, our system maintains sufficient performance and tolerence for the case of large scale HD content operations or fabrications. We expect that the proposed integrated DB scheme will especially be effective when the content management applications are changed from Internet Web environments to mobile terminal environments.
