소비자간 전자상거래에서의 개인 효용차를 이용한 자동협상구조

  • 인터넷의 확산으로 일반인들이 높은 정보수집력을 보유하게 됨에 따라 소비자 중심의 시장이 형성되면서 전자상거래를 통한 소비자간의 거래가 점점 늘어가고 있다. 그에 따라 많은 연구자들이 소비자간 전자상거래를 지원하기 위한 지능형 에이젼트를 개발하고 있다. 그러나 기존의 소비자간 전자상거래 에이젼트 시스템은 경매나 역경매와 같은 '1:다'의 경쟁적 협상을 지원하거나, 판매자와 구매자의 거래성사를 위한 시간흐름에 따른 가격조건 완화를 이용한 자동협상에 주로 촛점을 맞추고 있다. 본 연구는 기존의 자동협상에 관한 연구와는 다른 관점에서, 소비자들간에 거래하려는 제품에 대해 제품사양 및 거래조건의 변화가 가능한 경우에 판매자와 구매자가 느끼는 개인적인 효용의 차이를 이용하여 판매자와 구매자가 모두 만족하는 제품사양, 거래조건, 가격의 거래결과를 찾아주기 위한 자동협상구조를 제시한다.

Bundled Discounting of Healthcare Services and Restraint of Competition (의료서비스의 결합판매와 경쟁제한성의 판단 - Cascade Health 사건을 중심으로 -)

  • The bundled discounting which the dominant undertakings engage in is problematic in terms of competition restraint. Bundled discounts generally benefit not only buyers but also sellers. Specifically, bundled discounts usually costs a firm less to sell multiple products. In addition, Bundled discounts always provide some immediate consumer benefit in the form of lower prices. Therefore, competition authorities and courts should not be too quick to condemn bundled discounts and apply the neutral and objective standard in bundled discounting cases. Cascade Health v. Peacehealth decision starts ruling from this prerequisite. This decision pointed out that the dominant undertaking can exclude rivals through bundled discounting without pricing its products below its cost when rivals do not sell as great a number of product lines. So bundled discounting may have the anticompetitive impact by excluding less diversified but more efficient producers. This decision did not adopt Lepage case's standard which does not require the court to consider whether the competitor was at least as efficient of a producer as the bundled discounter. Instead of that, based on cost based approach, this decision said that the exclusionary element can not be satisfied unless the discounts result in prices that are below an appropriate measures of the defendant's costs. By adopting a discount attribution standard, this decision said that the full amount of the discounts should be allocated to the competitive products. As the seller can easily ascertain its own prices and costs of production and calculate whether its discounting practices exclude competitors, not the competitor's costs but the dominant undertaking's costs should be considered in applying discount attribution standard. This case deals with bundled discounting practice of multiple healthcare services by the dominant undertaking in healthcare market. Under the Korean healthcare system and public health insurance system, the price competition primarily exists in non-medical care benefits because public healthcare insurance in Korea is in combination with the compulsory medical care institution system. The cases that Monopoly Regulation and Fair Trade Law deals with, such as cartel and the abuse of monopoly power, also mainly exist in non-medical care benefits. The dominant undertaking's exclusionary bundled discounting in Korean healthcare markets may be practiced in the contracts between the dominant undertaking and private insurance companies with regards to non-medical care benefits.

  • 백승홍의원이 발의해 주진되던 LPG법개정안이 협회의 반대로 국회통과가 무산됐다. 협회는 백승홍의원의 LPG법개정안은 유통단계를 고착화시켜 판매사업자의 가격회포에 따른 소비자피해가 우려되며, 정부의 규제완화와 경쟁촉진에도 맞지 않으며, 사업자간 담합 우려, 소비자의 선택권 제한, 기존 판매사업자에 대한 특혜시비 등 여러가지 문제점이 있음을 지적하고 백의원측과 산업자원부에 제출한 바 있다. 협회는 또한 국회 산업자원위원들에게도 동 내용을 전달했으며 충전사업자의 서명을 반대하는 등 꾸준히 반대의견을 개진했었다.

  • 본 논문에서는 현재 국내의 디지털 음악 콘텐츠 산업에서 이슈가 되고 있는 정액제와 수익배분 비율 문제를 중심으로 수리적 모형을 사용하여 분석하였다. 특히 국내의 현황을 반영하여 음원권리자와 이동통신사의 문제에 더욱 초점을 맞추었다. 본 논문의 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 이동통신사와 음원권리자 사이에서는 정액제를 선택하든 종량제를 선택하든 중요하지 않을 수 있다는 것이다. 중요한 것은 음원권리자가 수익배분비율을 그리고 이동통신사가 음원판매소매가격을 자율적으로 결정할 수 있어야 한다는 것이고 두 게임참여자가 서로 이익을 얻을 수 있는 수익배분방법과 비율이 존재한다는 점이다. 둘째, 정액제는 오히려 소비자와 이동통신사간의 관계에 영향을 미치게 되는데 이동통신사에게는 유리하고 소비자에게는 불리하게 된다는 것이다. 특히, 이동통신사와 음원권리자가 수직적으로 통합되어 경쟁하는 시장구조하에서는 소비자에게 불리한 경향이 더욱 심화되므로 정액제 보다는 종량제 가격의 하락을 통해서 온라인 음악 시장의 성장을 유도하는 것이 소비자에게 유리하게 된다. 이와 같은 온라인 음악시장의 성장은 중장기적으로 사업자들에게도 도움이 될 것이다.

  • 이 보고서는 축산진흥회 조사부가 소비자의 축산물 구매동기로 부터 최종 소비에 이르기까지 그 행태 분석과 가격 반응을 도시가구를 중심으로 조사한 것이다. 이 보고서에 의하면 소비자들은 닭고기의 포장육 판매를 희망하고 있으며 수입고기가 싸고 맛도 괜찮다는 중론이었음에도 불구하고 국내 축산업의 발전을 위하여 우려하는 쪽이 41$\%$나 되었음이 특기할만하다.

The Effect of Value-added Promotion and Retailer Uncertainty on Customers' Perceived Value of the Product (부가가치 제공 유형별 판매촉진과 유통업체 불확실성이 제품 가치 평가에 미치는 영향 - 사은품(Freebie) 제공 판매촉진을 중심으로 -)

  • The sales promotion strategy can be classified into two categories: cost-down and value-added promotions. Although many studies have been performed on sales promotion in the past, little attention has been given on cost-down promotion, and in particular on its strategy. Also there has been a renewed interest on value-added promotion strategy as means of attracting more customers and delivering value by providing a greater benefit. This study examines the effect of value-added promotion on the evaluation of promotional products. The topic is important because the value-added promotions are not always perceived as a benefit by consumers and they depend on the situational factors. We postulate three hypotheses on the basis of related literature. We conduct two studies: one employing experiment (study 1) and the other, quasi-experiment (study 2) to investigate the effect of two situational factors, namely the promotional package type and retailer uncertainty on the valuation of promotional products. Study 1 employs 2 promotional package types (bundled with freebie type vs. one-plus-one type) by 3 evaluation targets (overall package, a focal product and freebie) in experimental design. Also it is found that consumers devaluate the promotional product when the level of retailer uncertainty is high (t=-4.70, p=.000) as shown in Table 2. As depicted in Figure 2, the interaction effect of retailer uncertainty and package types on the evaluation of promotional product as a whole does not appear to be significant. However, when the level of retailer uncertainty is high, the focal product suffers from lower valuation if it is included in a bundle with freebie type package. The purpose of Study 2 is to cross-check the results of Study 1. The results of Study 2 also show that the consumers devaluate the promotional products as a whole when the level of retailer uncertainty is high. Furthermore, Study2 examines the consumers' willingness to purchase. The willingness to purchase of 2 different consumer groups divided by their reservation prices before and after exposure to a promotional stimuli shows no significant differences(t=1.911, p=.057). The results suggest that the consumers' reservation prices before the exposure to the promotion can be a reference prices of their's. But after the promotional events, the promotional price would become their reference prices. Furthermore, when the level of retailer uncertainty is high, consumers devaluate the promotional product as a whole. Because the promotional offerings activate the persuasion knowledge of consumers and make them incorporate negative inference about the firm's motives into their valuation and consequently, consumers tend to hesitate to purchase.

  • 1. 문제점 1) 국민 1인당 계란 소비량이 낮다. 1인당 년간 소비량이 95개로서 외국 선진국의 경우에 비해 1/3-$\frac{1}{4}$에 해당된다. 국민의 영양소 섭취량에 있어 축산식품이 전체 단백질의 8%를 공급하고 있는 실정에 있으면서도 그 어느 축산식품 보다 단백질 단위 그람당 가격이 싼 계란의 섭취가 부진한 데는 문제점이 있다고 보겠다. 2) 계란가격의 계절적 변동이 심하다. 일반적으로 여름과 겨울에 낮고 봄과 가을에 높으며 평균가격에서 $\pm$35%의 높은 가격변동을 보이고 있다. 일년에 평균 3번의 가격기복을 형성하고 있다. 3) 비축 저장할 수 있는 가공품이 없고 신선란만이 획일적으로 판매 되고있다. 4) 생산자와 소비자를 연결시키는 유통구조가 영세적이고 전근대적으로서 2-3 단계 중간상인의 마진을 크게 해주고 있다. 5) 계란의 신선도 및 품질보장이 제대로 이루어지지 않고 상품판매기술이 매우 미흡하다. An Analysis of Consumer's Taste on Environment-Friendly Agricultural Products in Korea (우리나라 친환경 농산물에 대한 소비자 의향분석)

  • There has been an increasing public concern about environmental safety and human health of field crops while customer consumes more and more field crops, to which overdose and residual chemicals were applied. As a solution for the problems, construction of sustainable agroecosystem is spreading out to pursuit the economic value of agricultural management as well as to meet environment concern. Public has extended their understanding on the preservation of environment and safeness of agricultural products, and governmental policy toward sustainable agriculture drives rapid increase of the production of sustainable agricultural products. Under this circumstances, it is time to encourage more consumption and to activate market system for the sustainable agricultural products. This study was initiated to diagnose the problems and future direction of domestic sustainable agriculture by analyzing the overall opinions of consumer on the sustainable agriculture. The results are as follows: The pursuit of low input management is a prerequisite to creat high valued agricultural products, and serious consideration should be taken to produce clean crops using natural products. Consummers are willing to pay 10∼50% more prices if the products get certified by official eco-label programs. It is believed that practice of sustainable agriculture using biopesticide and natural pesticide would accelerate the rapid extension of this pro-environmental agricultural management. To activate production and consumption of sustainable agricultural products correct informations on safety should be addressed to customer, and confidence has to be brought about from customer. This could be done by obtaining various and efficient distribution route, product competency for quality, upgraded sales strategy, maximum utilization of certificate system, and practice of recall system, so on.

  • This study intends to examine whether consumers, especially buying apparel product postpone purchase in the beliefs of price break in the near future. For this research objectives, the dynamic price expectation effect model for apparel product is proposed and is applied to weekly sales data and price information of 43 women's apparel brands from a department store over the spring season. The main results are summarized as follows. 1. Dynamic price expectation effect model is developed and the model is more robust to apparel product than Gutenberg model, which is not considered these conditions. 2. By applying the model to empirical data, we find out the price expectation effect in the apparel product; concretely there are 23 brands out of 43 brands. This study confirms the price expectation effects in the apparel product theoretically and extends the research boundary of price expectation effects.

The Effect of a Change in Natural Gas Price on Korean Economy (천연가스가격 변화의 경제적 효과)

  • This paper is concerned with the effect of an increase in the import price of LNG on the Korean economy and industries. A computable general equilibrium analysis is applied to compute the comparative-statical effect of 10% rise of LNG price. The price increase places relatively heavy burden on the city gas, oil products and thermal power, decreasing their outputs and domestic sales by relatively larger percentages than other industries. The 10% increase in the LNG price reduces GDP by 0.4% and raises the general price level by 0.08%. The increase in oil price resulting in the same decreasing rate of GDP caused by the 10% LNG price rise turns out to raise the general price level and reduce the consumer's welfare in terms of equivalent variation by less percentage than the increase in LNG price.
