  • MyData is a new entity that strengthens the rights of information subjects through the 'right to data portability' and utilizes data to enable hyper-personalized services using personal information. Korea's MyData system is recognized globally as an outstanding system in that it is creating a new MyData industry by granting the right to information self-determination through the 'right to request data transmission'. Now in its third year, this study evaluates Korea's MyData system from a consumer behavior perspective and identifies issues for improvement. To this end, this study reviewed previous research on the relationship between regulatory policy and consumer behavior to determine the applicability of a consumer behavior perspective in institutional evaluation. In addition, in a study on consumer behavior related to MyData, variables that affect the use of MyData were investigated and evaluation items from a consumer behavior perspective were derived. As a result of evaluating Korea's MyData system from a consumer behavior perspective, it was found that the factors considered important by consumers were appropriately reflected in the system. However, in cases where there are dual values of ease of use and personal information protection, regulatory aspects tend to take priority. Therefore, in order to revitalize the MyData industry, it is essential to implement market-friendly system improvements without compromising consumer rights. This study is differentiated from existing studies in that it attempted to derive a plan for system improvement by combining empirical consumer behavior research and regulatory policy research.

No researches, however, really have done how the anti-sites worked for promoting consumer rights through consumer complain behaviors in cyber space. The purpose of this research was to give some suggestions for activating anti-site for promoting consumer rights. For this purpose, questionnaire on-line survey was conducted from April, 12 to 24, 2004. And 143 samples, who were visiting anti-site during survey period, were selected. Main findings were as following: First, visitors had rather positive confidence with informations in anti-sites. Second, visitors thought that anti-sites were working rather well in implementing consumer movement by sharing their experiences, and by supporting complaining space in cyber. Visitors, however, thought that anti-sites were not working well as a space for companies, not by giving their attentions on consumers' complains. Third, the satisfaction level of visitors was found to be rather high in terms of informations in anti-sites, and to be rather low in terms of companies' attentions on anti-sites and management of anti-sites. Based on results, some suggestions of activating anti-site for promoting consumer rights were as following: First, visitors should not only get information, but support new and useful informations for others. And also it was suggested that visitors should join consumer movement through anti-site actively. Second, companies should pay attentions on anti-sites for their sake because anti-sites could give very useful information improving customer satisfaction, and finally reducing cost and increasing profit.

Adult consumers don't have many chances to take consumer education with various reasons though they are in a core position in the economy. This study developed an on-line consumer education program for adults in consumerism in the website, www.bestmaker.com/cw. The contents of consumerism were divided into five subfields such as consumer rights, responsibility and roles; consumer law; consumer participation; consumer protection; on-line survey. The on-line consumer education program was given to 164 adult consumers who could use internet, and the contents and the methods of the consumer education were evaluated by the same consumers with an on-line survey. The results of the survey show that those in 30's through 40's and with higher education are more satisfied with the contents and the methods of the on-line consumer education. This study implies that the contents, the methods, and the design of an on-line consumer education need to be consistent each other and well organized altogether.

  • This study delves into the relationship between consumer perception of green marketing and purchase intentions within China's Yangtze River Delta region, amidst growing global environmental concerns. Employing both quantitative surveys and qualitative interviews, the research adopts a mixed-method approach to analyze the influence of green marketing on consumer behavior and its role in fostering sustainable practices. The results underscore that consumer perceptions of green marketing have a significant impact on their purchase decisions, emphasizing the need for businesses to align their green marketing strategies with consumer expectations. This alignment is crucial for cultivating a mindset of sustainable consumption among consumers. Furthermore, the study highlights the psychological mechanisms linking green marketing perceptions to consumer actions, particularly through the mediating role of consumer empowerment. The findings provide actionable insights for companies to effectively communicate their green initiatives and enhance consumer engagement with sustainable products and practices.
