  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of customer's innovation and usefulness on the use intention of Service Robots by potential customers. Based on Davis(1989)'s Technology Acceptance Model, this study formulated three hypotheses, which were about relationships between customer's innovation, usefulness, and use intention of Service Robots. For this study, structured questionnaires were used and data were collected from the 171 people in Seoul and Cheonan. To test three hypotheses, collected data were analyzed using hierarchical regression technique. The results showed that customer's innovation has no influence on usefulness, whereas customer's innovation and usefulness have effects on use intention.

  • This study analyzed the factors to customer attitude on the goods and service introduced in UGC(User Generated Contents) and explored the difference between Korean and Chinese customers. For the first research question, the hypothetical factors were selected through literature review, the area of which are media consumption, social media and effect of advertising. In this study examined 4 independent variables: information, reliability, BJ attractiveness and customer innovation. Methodologies are confirmatory factor analysis, correlation analysis and multi regression. Result showed that reliability, BJ attractiveness and customer innovation are statistically significant. According to the β value, the biggest one is customer innovation, the second one is BJ attractiveness and the third one is reliability. The influence of information on customer attitude is not statistically significant. The result is well-aligned with the prior studies. The information factor's influence, however, is disputable because some prior studies shows that it is not significant when the research samples are recently developed channel such as mobile or social media commerce platforms. It is necessary to identify the root causes why the information factor is not significant in some research cases. For the second research question, this study used independent t-test between Korean and Chinese customers. The result shows that the difference in reliability, BJ attractiveness and attitude are stastically significant, and the ratings of Chinese customers are higher. This result caused by the difference of media commerce environment between Korea and China. Information and customer innovation didn't show significant difference.

  • This study investigates the effects of consumer innovativeness on e-loyalty mediated by shopping mall attributes and consumer satisfaction with the Internet. Data were obtained from 243 consumers who had bought fashion products through online shopping. Data were analyzed by using factor analysis, Cronbach's alpha, and path analysis using LISREL 8.53 program. The results of this study suggest that the consumer innovativeness, such as Internet-innovativeness and Fashion-innovativeness affect shopping mall attributes including Loading, Visual, Information, Variety, and Price/Fashion. These attributes and the shopping mall satisfaction partially mediated the impact of consumer innovativeness on e-loyalty of shopping malls through the Internet. Especially, consumer satisfaction was the most important determinant to build up e-loyalty for the online shopping of fashion products. The findings provide implications for e-retailers to develop strategies related to consumer innovativeness, shopping mall attributes, and the e-loyalty of shopping malls for fashion products.

  • This study aims to analyze the effect of consumer characteristics such as consumer innovativeness on using popular social media in Korea. Social media usage is estimated by probit and multinomial probit model with user characteristics using Korea media panel data of 2019. According to the analysis, users with hedonoc innovativeness are likely to use social media, while users with cognitive innovativeness are not likely to use it. Regarding individual social media usage, functional innovativeness increases the probability of using Kakaostory, and hedonic innovativeness increases the likelihood of using Instagram. However, cognitive innovativeness decreases the probability of using Kakaosotry and Naver Band. This study gives insights into finding out specific social media for marketing certain products with innovativeness. In future research, it may be worthwhile to analyze under the assumption that a social media user is using several social media simultaneously.

The factorial design is constructed as a 2(type of fashion advertisement: general vs. cross-media) ${\times}2$(consumer innovativeness: high vs. low) ${\times}2$(the type of fashion brand extension: similar vs. dissimilar) three-way mixed design in which consumer innovativeness is the between-subjects variable. Subjects of this study included 210 men and women in their 20s and 30s who resid in Seoul and had SNS experiences. Frequency analysis, credibility analysis, three-way ANOVA, and simple interaction analysis were conducted using the SPSS 20.0 statistics package. The results are as follows: First, the type of fashion advertisement had a significant effect on advertising credibility. Cross-media advertisements had a more positive effect than general advertisements on all of the dependent variables. Also, the type of brand extension and consumer innovativeness showed significant effect on advertising credibility and the interaction effect between the type of fashion advertisement and consumer innovativeness was significant. Lastly, the effect of different types of brand extensions on advertising credibility showed a significant difference according to consumer innovativeness. Thus, a marketing strategy using cross-media advertising is proven to be effective in gaining consumer trust for a fashion brand.
