The Influence of Manufacturer and Retailer Trust on the Private Brand Purchase (유통업체와 제조업체에 대한 신뢰가 유통업체 브랜드의 구매의도에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구)

  • Recently, there has been a growing trend toward private brand. Although much has been written about the determinants of attitude and purchase intention on PB, little is known about the influence of manufacturer and retailer trust on private brand purchase. This research addresses three questions:(1) what impact do manufacturer and retailer trust have on private brand purchase?(2) What is a key mediating variable in the relationship retailer between trust(on retailer/manufacture) and purchase intention?(3) Are the impacts of these factors differ depending on the level of customer knowledge? The findings indicate that retailer trust directly influence on the perceived quality, attitude toward private brand, and purchase intention. Manufacturer trust affects on attitude and purchase intention, however, only when it is through perceived quality. In addition, the relative impact of theses two factors differs to some extent, depending on the level of consumer knowledge. When customer knowledge is relatively high, retailer trust is a very important factor influencing perceived quality, attitude and purchase intention. On the other hand, both retailer trust and manufacturer trust are considered when customer knowledge on private brand is low.

  • This paper tried to analyse the factors influencing consumer trust and the relationships between cause variables and results in Internet Shopping Mall. In order to do so, this paper tried to analyse the trust factors in TV Home Shopping as well as Internet Shopping Mall in terms of cyber markets both. There found six factors : perceived factor before purchasing, perceived factor after purchasing, perceived and emotional factors in the course of purchasing, positive and negative emotional factors after purchasing. These factors are correlated with Internet shopping variables and we can measure how Internet shopping variables can affect trust to the shopping mall. We can compare the trust factors of TV home shopping with those of Internet shopping mall and then we can activate Internet Shopping Mall. More implications of this study and further researches should be discussed in the future research.

  • The purpose to this study is to analyze the difference of trust toward Internet-only bank into two groups according to the gender. We specially examined whether there is any gap in the determinant of trust. For this, we attempted to analyze the significance of the difference in the path coefficients between the gender through latent mean and path analysis. As a results, the difference of the determinant of trust between the male and the female group occurred in the factor of benefit and security. Moreover, it reconfirmed that trust are later strongly extended to relationship commitment. These findings suggest that it's very important to establish a trust with customers.

  • The purpose of this study is to evaluate the level of trust by financial consumers and attempt to investigate the determinants that influence consumer trust in internet-only banks. For this aim, I conducted an empirical study and the survey results was used to test a structural equation model that analyzed the financial consumer trust and estimated the level of trust for internet-only banks. As a result of the analysis, the three most effective determinants of trust were security, convenience and benefit. Also, the level of financial consumer trust for the internet-only banks, based on the three factors, was later extended to relationship commitment such as renewal and recommendation intentions. Therefore, Internet-only banks need to focus on promoting their trust more effectively for future sustainable growth.

  • This study examined the factors that affect the relationship between eco-friendly agricultural products selection criteria, consumer trust, and recommendation intention. A total of 220 questionnaires were distributed to consumers, of which 210 were deemed suitable for analysis after the removal of 10 unusable responses. In order to perform statistical analyses required in the study, SPSS 18.0 Statistical Program was employed for frequency analysis, factor analysis, reliability analysis, correlations, and regression analysis. The results of exploratory factor analysis showed that four factors regarding eco-friendly agricultural products were extracted from all measurements with a KMO of 0.735 and a total cumulative variance of 79.373%, With regard to consumer trust, one factor was extracted with a total cumulative variance of 75.431% and a KMO score of 0.695. One factor for recommendation intention was extracted that accounted for a total cumulative variance of 68.428% and a KMO score of 0.694. All factors were significant to .000 and the correlation between variables was significant. Thus, based on the results, the main research hypotheses that identify the relationships between selection criteria, consumer trust and recommendation retention were adopted.

  • This study examines the psychological factors of consumers to On-Demand O2O service which is different from the previous study on O2O service. To investigate the relative influence of consumer's psychological attachment of On-Demand O2O service, enjoyment, and trust on consumer's satisfaction and attitude, I conducted qualitative and quantitative surveys to investigate consumers' perception. Through the quantitative survey on 152 participants, the study shows that the consumer's psychological attachment to the service has the greatest influence on the attitude toward On-Demand O2O service and the trust has the highest effect on satisfaction with service. This study is meaningful in that the consumer's psychological factors to the O2O service is examined from the consumer's point of view. This study suggests that the consumer's attachment and trust should be considered primarily to expand the On-Demand O2O service.

  • In order to improve the quality of consumption in senior generation, it is necessary to build trust in the digital consumption environment. However, there are limitations from previous researches on consumption in the digital environment that has mainly focused on Millennial and Z generations. Therefore, this study aims to examine the antecedents of digital consumption trust and to explore the market segments of senior generation created by the dynamics of these antecedents. In addition, in order to provide practical implications, we investigate the difference in the level of perceived digital consumption trust using segmentation. This study, therefore, used 2021 Korea's consumer life index data conducted by the Korea Consumer Agency for general consumers, and only consumer data of 60s and older are extracted for the analysis. As a result, we confirm from the main results that the three antecedents, consumer competency, perceived corporate responsibility, and local community's problem-solving environment, are significant in building the digital consumption trust in the senior generation. It is academically significant in this aspect to look at approaches to improve senior customers' trust in digital consumption circumstances by dividing generations because generations exhibit varying levels of understanding of online consumption or digital consumption conditions.   • A review of the related literature indicates that consumers' risk perceptions are largely affected by product involvement. This study investigates the impact of product involvement on required trust level and the online merchant choice. We developed a conceptual model that depicts the nomological relationships among product involvement, required trust level, and the online merchant choice, and formulated three hypotheses based on the conceptual model. An empirical study designed to accomplish the research objectives has been conducted using a questionnaire survey with 230 students in a university in Korea. The findings indicated that high-involvement products have higher trust level as required by consumers than low-involvement products, that consumers buying high-involvement products prefer digital storefronts, and that consumers buying low-involvement products prefer B2C e-marketplaces. The paper offers implications for academics as well as practitioners, based on the research results.

  • 연고가 소비자들의 제품구매와 점포선택에 영향을 미치는 것으로 보인다. 그러나 이에 대한 실증적인 연구가 밝표된 적이 거의 없다. 본 논문에서는 관계마케팅의 관점에서 세 가지의 사회적연고의 형태가 소비자의 만족, 신뢰, 압박감에 어떠한 영향을 미치는 가를 검증하였다. 대체적으로 종교적 관계나 가족적 관계는 소비자의 만족, 신뢰와 압박감에 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다.
