The Modern subject and experience of pain described in medicine advertisements in the early modern times. (초기 근대 의약품 광고 담론분석: 근대적 아픔의 주체와 경험에 대한 소고)

  • It is an aim of this study to analyze a relation between modern medicine advertisements and body. Recently the academic world has discussed how comes it that the modernity had been formed. This trend is remarkable in the field of the history of everyday life. Because everyday life is connected with people's vivid experience. Especially in modern advertising it is in existence such as popular culture, consumer culture, sexuality, family, food, clothing and housing, disease. Since modern times the body has been reorganized into a new shape. Namely the premodern body that had been regulated by a status system is changed into modern body that have to form itself after the customs and values. We analyzed medicine advertisements in the early modern times and hoped to explain how modern people had understood their body. We applied Foucault's theory of discourse as a methodology. As a result of research, we came to the conclusion that there were several rules in the texts of medicine advertisements, which had formed a modern subject of pain. There was a disciplinary power such as a internalization of clinical eyes, self-watch in medicine advertisements. These advertisements contributed to the formation of subject of pain and related to the state power.

Effective consultation strategy for patients of aesthetic case (심미 증례 환자의 효과적인 상담 전략)

  • In the modern society, the awareness of images is affecting the body-related consumer behavior through mass media such as TV and internet, and SNS that has grown explosively with the wide availability of smartphones. As a consequence, the demands for aesthetic treatments by patients who wish to improve their inferiority complex are increasing. Patients who want aesthetic treatments display more active inclinations than those receiving general treatments, and have the expectation for the improvement in images along with the anxiety over potential functional problems and satisfaction about the outcomes. In the consultation of the patient of aesthetic case, the basic starting point is that the surgeon and the patient recognize improvement points that the patient expects through the aesthetic treatment. The consultation starting from the viewpoint of the patient proceeds in a way that the consensus is reached through the medical approach, eventually finding the balance between ideals and naturalness. The consultation process from the initial meeting is established at each stage of treatment, at which the consultation is correctly recorded and shared by the surgeon and the care staff. In addition, the consistent policy is implemented from the initial consultation through to the maintenance care. Together, these will result in the consultation based on the true communications leading to the outcome that satisfies the patient, the surgeon and the care staff, rather than the one that gives the patient an unfounded hope and leads to the unsympathetic outcome. This article introduces the consultation strategy for patients of aesthetic case based on the sympathy with them through cases of aesthetic treatment by type.

SCANNING ELECTRON MICROSCOPIC STUDY OF THE EFFECT OF ACIDIC DRINK ON ENAMEL EROSION : A CASE REPORT (탄산음료에 의해 부식된 법랑질 표면변화에 대한 증례발표)

  • It is widely believed that the increase in the prevalence of dental erosion is due to soft drinks. The purpose of this study was to assess the influence of soft drinks and etchant on the erosion of tooth enamel and the effect of tooth brushing on the abrasion of eroded enamel, and the effect of milk, saliva and Tooth $Mousse^{(R)}$ on the remineralization. The changes in tooth enamel surface were observed by scanning electron microscophy. The results were as follows; 1. The pH of Coca-Cola and Chilsung-Cider were higher than the pH of FineEtch 37 and $Tyrian^{TM}SPE$. 2. The SEM photos revealed that the pattern of the surface eroded by Coca-Cola and Chilsung-Cider were more obvious than that eroded by etchants. 3. The results of remineralization by saliva, milk, Tooth $Mousse^{(R)}$ were not different from each other. 4. The remineralization by saliva decreased tooth brushing abrasion.

The Effect of SNS's Characteristic on Attitude Formation toward Jewelry Product and Jewelry Online Shopping Mall (SNS 기능적 속성이 주얼리 제품 및 온라인 쇼핑몰에 대한 태도형성에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구)

  • The objective of the study is to explore how to influence SNS's characteristics on attitude formation toward jewelry product and online shopping mall. SNS's characteristics are contextuality, responsiveness, social presence, and interaction as independent variables. Consumer satisfaction, worth of mouth and purchase intention are considered as dependent variables. Data were collected from a survey of 317 consumers who have experience to purchase jewelry product to examine their attitude toward SNSs, jewelry product, and online shopping mall from November 1 to November 15 2013. In order to test hypotheses, CFA analysis with covariance structure analysis was conducted using EQS6b. SNS's users have a tendency to perceive SNSs as bridge to connect other people and to get new information as well as they are willing to feel familiarity on SNSs. Users, who have a higher contextuality, responsiveness, social presence, and interaction of SNS's characteristics, are willing to have word of mouth intention of jewelry product as well as have high satisfaction. The study found that interaction is not effect on consumer satisfaction because interaction factor is to evaluate SNSs as one of the media.

Effect of the Extract of Hydrangea Dulcis Folium on Alcohol-induced Psychiatric Deficits (수국 추출물이 알코올로 유도한 기억 장애 및 long-term potentiation 억제에 미치는 영향)

  • Consumption of high doses of ethanol can lead to amnesia, which often manifests as a blackout. This incoordination of blackout may be a major cause in various social problems in alcohol consumption. However, there is still no treatment for preventing these alcohol-induced problems. Hydrangeae dulcis folium is a drug or a tea which is made from the fermented and dried leaves of Hydrangea serrata Seringe. The present study, we tested the ethanol extract of the Hydrangeae dulcis folium (EHDF) on ethanol-induced psychological deficits. To test behavioral deficits, an object recognition test was conducted using a mouse model. To evaluate synaptic deficits, N-methyl-D-aspartate (NMDA) receptor-mediated excitatory postsynaptic potential EPSP and long-term potentiation (LTP) in the mouse hippocampal slices were tested, as they are known to be vulnerable to ethanol and are associated with ethanol-induced amnesia. In the tests, ethanol (1 g/kg, i.p.) impaired object recognition memory, but EHDF (10 or 30 mg/kg) prevented this impairment in object recognition test. Interestingly, EHDF ($30{\mu}g/ml$) significantly ameliorated ethanol-induced LTP and NMDA receptor-mediated synaptic transmission in the hippocampal slices. EHDF prevented ethanol-induced object recognition memory deficits induced by ethanol. Interestingly, EHDF significantly ameliorated ethanol-induced LTP and NMDA receptor- mediated synaptic transmission in the hippocampal slices.

The Success of Animation in Korean Film Industry: An Exploratory Analysis (애니메이션 영화의 흥행에 관한 탐색적 연구)

  • The study proposes an exploratory analysis on the success of animation films in Korea industry. It identifies animation films that have been successful in the Korean film industry during 2004-2013 period and explores (1) how the number of screens allocated to the films have been changed; (2) what are the major factors that influence the success of the films; (3) what are the differences between Japan and the US animation in terms of plots and genres; and (4) how the characteristics of the US animations are related to the success of the US market, the global market, and Korean market. Analyses show that the number of screens allocated to the animation films has been consistently increased due to the vertical integration of Korean film industry; and the (FTA) period, months in year (summer and winter break months for middle and high school students), and the number of screens allocated to the films were the major factors influencing the financial success of animations. It also finds that specific characteristics embedded in its own cultural trait were shown in the plots and genres in the animations. Lastly the study also finds that specific set of characteristics extracted from IMDB site influence certain markets. Budgets and actor's power were found to influence the success in the US market while period (pre-FTA, FTA, post-FTA) only influence the success in Korean market. The study points out that the success of the US and Japan animations in Korean film industry are due to the historicity of animation cultures which are not found in Korean animation industry.

A Study of Users' Perception of YouTube Regulation (유튜브 정보 규제에 대한 이용자들의 인식 연구)

  • YouTube as a news channel is gaining popularity because it offers more interesting and in-depth news than traditional news media. However, YouTube has been criticized for its distribution of false information (or fake news) in Korea. Politicians are actively proposing a variety of bills to regulate YouTube's false information and a lot of studies proposed how to regulate YouTube's false information. This study looked at the users' experience and perception of false information and identified factors that affected the regulation of YouTube news. The results showed that the conservatives and the moderate groups were exposed to false information more than the progressives, and those in their 60s believed that false information was distributed on YouTube rather those in their 20s to 50s. The more people value freedom of expression, the more people trust TV Chosun news, the more people tend to oppose the regulation of information on YouTube. On the other hand, it turns out that the more people trust the news on both terrestrial broadcasting networks and JTBC, and the more people value the enlightening aspects on the news, the more they approve of Youtube regulation.

인마새트 위성 서비스 동향 및 향후 전망

  • 전 세계에 위성이동통신 서비스를 제공하고 있는 인마새트 시스템은 해사통신 및 선박의 안전운항을 목적으로 UN산하 국제해사위성기구(INMARSAT: International Maritime Satellite Organization)로 설립되었다. 그 후 기존에 제공하던 해상 위주의 서비스 외에 항공 및 육상 이동통신서비스가 추가되면서 국제이동위성기구(INMARSAT: International Mobile Satellite Organization)라는 이름과 병행하여 사용하여 오다가 최근 민영화되었다. 이에 따라 인마새트는 육상, 해상, 항공서비스를 제공하면서 86개의 회원국으로 운영되어오다가 민영화되면서 이들 회원국은 모두 투자사로 전환되었다. 하지만 기존에 제공하여온 해상조난안전통신 등 공익성을 갖는 기능에 대해서는 향후에도 지속적인 서비스가 제공되도록 별도로 IMSO(International Maritime Satellite Organization)라는 감독기관을 두어 관장하고 있다. 인마새트는 전세계적으로 글로벌 위성이동통신 서비스를 최초로 제공한 이래 아직까지도 해상, 육상, 항공 등 전 분야에 통신서비스를 제공하는 유일한 사업자이다. 더구나 최근 저궤도 위성을 이용한 GMPCS의 성장추세가 예상보다 크게 둔화되면서 상대적으로 비용이 저렴한 정지궤도 위성 시스템인 인마새트 서비스가 더욱 활성화되는 추세이다. 이에 인마새트 서비스를 위한 신형 장비도 추가 개발되고 있으며 서비스 영역이 확장되는 등 그 중요성이 부각됨에 따라 향후 상당기간동안 인마새트 시스템에 부가기능을 추가하면서 재난시 비상연락수단은 물론이고 일상적인 통신수단의 영역까지 확대될 것으로 전망된다.인 방법이다. 활성물질의 생성시간과 가공시간은 불과 수십 $\mu\textrm{s}$ 및 수 sec 에 불과하므로, 1 kton/h 용량의 수산기활성제 제조장치의 환산소비동력은 약 200 kW이고, 장치의 체적은 10~30 ㎥의 공간으로 충분하므로, 소형선박으로 상당면적의 적조피해를 효과적으로 해결할 수 있다.의 특성을 이용하여 워터마크를 삽입한다.송 시스템을 구현될 수 있음을 검증하였다.출량을 비교한 결과 토사 유출 억제효과는 한지형과 나지형잔디들의 혼합형(MixtureIII)과 자생처리구(MixtureV), Italian ryegrass와 자생식물의 혼합형(MixtureIV)등에서 비교적 낮은 수치를 토사유출량을 기록하였다. 이러한 결과는 자생식물들이 비록 초기생육속도는 외래도입초종에 떨어지지만 토사유출의 억제효과면에서는 이들 외래초종에 필적할 수 있음을 나타낸다고 할 수 있겠다.중량이 약 115kg/$m^2$정도로 나타났다.소 들(환경의 의미, 사람의 목적과 지식)보다 미학적 경험에 주는 영향이 큰 것으로 나타났으며, 모든 사람들에게 비슷한 미학적 경험을 발생시키는 것 이 밝혀졌다. 다시 말하면 모든 사람들은 그들의 문화적인 국적과 사회적 인 직업의 차이, 목적의 차이, 또한 환경의 의미의 차이에 상관없이 아름다 운 경관(High-beauty landscape)을 주거지나 나들이 장소로서 선호했으며, 아름답다고 평가했다. 반면에, 사람들이 갖고 있는 문화의 차이, 직업의 차 이, 목적의 차이, 그리고 환경의 의미의 차이에 따라 경관의 미학적 평가가 달라진 것으로 나타났다.corner$적 의도에 의한 경관구성의 일면을

  • 녹색성장은 최근 세계적인 이슈가 되고 있다. 세계물위원회(World Water Council, WWC)의 경우 2012년 마르세유에서 개최되는 제6차 세계물포럼(World Water Forum, WWF)에서 물문제 해결을 위한 신개념 패러다임으로서 '녹색성장(Green Growth)'을 채택하기 위한 협력방안의 필요성을 제안하고 있다. 우리나라에서는 이미 녹색성장을 국가 슬로건으로 선정하고 글로벌 녹색성장연구소(Global Green Growth, GGGI)를 설립하는 등 녹색성장을 선도하고 있다. 이는 물의 중요성에 비추어볼 때 녹색성장을 물 분야에 확산시킬 수 있는 적절한 기회로 보인다. 녹색성장은 물 관련 환경서비스가 환경오염 없는 경제성장을 이룩하는 데 주요한 역할을 수행할 수 있다는 가능성과 당위성에서 파생된 최근에 만들어진 개념으로서, 물 분야의 경우 녹색경제에 있어서 중요한 역할을 수행해왔으며 이후 지속적인 인구증가, 물 소비패턴의 변화, 에너지비용 증가, 기후 변화 등으로 물 분야의 중요성은 더욱 커질 것으로 기대된다. 이처럼 물 관리는 경제발전, 재해로부터 보호, 인간의 건강 및 생태계와 삶의 질을 위하여 필수적이기에 녹색성장에 있어 중요한 역할을 수행하고 있다. 하지만 올바른 물 관리가 녹색성장에 기여할 수 있는 방법에 대해서는 아직 명확화 구체화되지 못하고 있는 실정이다. 이에 따라 녹색성장을 새로운 국가 성장 동력의 패러다임으로 구축하기 위해 수자원분야에서의 녹색성장방법론을 정립하고, 선진국과 개도국 정부들의 균형 있는 참여를 통한 글로벌 파트너십 구축이 요구되고 있으며, 이를 세계물위원회 등 국제기구와 공동으로 연계시킨다면 상당한 시너지 효과가 기대된다. 물관리는 국가의 경제발전, 재해로부터 생명과 재산의 보호, 인간의 건강 및 생태계 다양성 및 건전성 유지와 삶의 질을 향상을 위하여 매우 중요하며, 환경보존과 경제성장을 동시에 추구하는 녹색성장을 실현하는 데 있어서도 가장 핵심적인 사항이라고 할 수 있다. 그러나 올바른 물 관리가 녹색성장에 기여할 수 있는 방법에 대해서는 아직 명확하고 구체화 되지 못하고 있는 실정이다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 '물과 녹색성장'의 이론적 배경, 필요성, 개념정립, 벤치마킹 사례, 국제사회에서의 녹색성장과 관련한 논의 기구 및 흐름 등의 이해를 기초로 녹색성장을 통한 경제성장의 상호작용과 선순환구조를 체계화시키기 위한 균형방안을 제시하고자 한다. 또한 수자원 및 하천관리 분야에서의 WGG구현을 위한 정책제안 및 실행방안이 담긴 중장기 로드맵을 구축하여 물을 통한 성장의 발판을 마련하고자 한다.
