Instruction-level Power Model for Asynchronous Processor (명령어 레벨의 비동기식 프로세서 소비 전력 모델)

  • This paper presents the new instruction-level power model for an asynchronous processor. Until now, the various power models for estimating the power dissipation of embedded processor in SoC are proposed. Since all of them are target to the synchronous processors, the accuracy is questionable when we apply those power models to the asynchronous processor in SoC. To solve this problem, we present new power model for an asynchronous processor by reflecting the behavioral features of an asynchronous circuit. The proposed power model is verified using an implementation of asynchronous processor, A8051. The simulation results of the proposed model is compared with the measurement result of gate-level synthesized A8051. The proposed power model shows the accuracy of 90.7% and the simulation time for estimation the power consumption was reduced to 1,900 times.

  • 효율이 높은 사료를 급여하는 것도 중요하나 사료를 매개로 해서 여러가지 질병이 일어날수 있으며 각종 곰팡이 독 불량물질에 의한 피해는 일반 양축가의힘으로 막을 수 없는 또하나의 문제가 아닐 수 없다. 특히 살모네라의 경우 양계업자에게 피해를 줄 뿐만 아니라 양계산물에까지 오염시켜 사회적인 문제로까지 파급되어 소비마저 위축될 우려가 있어 시급한 대책이 요구되고 있으나 현재로는 사료 위생학적인 검사는 고려도 되고 있지 않으며, 전담기구도, 전공하는 사람도 없는 형편이다.

  • AI로 인해 급감한 소비를 회복시키고 소비자들을 안심시키기 위해 의료계와 식품산업계가 나섰다. 대한의사협회(이하 의협) 국민의학지식향상위원회가 20일 '조류인플루엔자 문제에 대한 심포지엄'을 개최하고 의학계, 수의학계, 보건당국 전문가들로부터 AI 인체감염을 예방하기 위한 대처방안들을 제시하였다. 조류인플루엔자(AI)가 실제 사람에게 감염될 가능성은 희박하다는 게 현재까지의 중론이지만 만약의 상황에 대비해 AI 감염요인과 예방법을 올바로 숙지해야 한다는 의견이 제기됐다.

Impact of Environmental-Educated Children on Their buying behaviors and Retroactive-Socialized Parents (환경교육을 받은 어린이를 통한 어른들의 소비행동과 역사회화)

  • The objectives of this study is to suggest marketing strategies directed of retroactive-socialized parents who have environmental-educated children at school. For this purpose, this study based on the consumer socialization agent such as family and demographic variables were studied. The scope of this study includes attitudes toward price and advertising, and interests related to environmental problems and environmental-products preference. As a result, The parents of environmental-educated children get much more environmental information and show favorable buying behaviors for environmental-products. Most of parents who get environmental information from children educated at school show favorable attitude towards the advertising and also show more preference to environmental-products and more frequent communication among family members. Parents who have environmental-educated children were insensitive to price, more consciousness about environmental problem and flexible to change in their buying behaviors. In conclusion, This study shows that behaviors of children had a significant influence on buying behavior of parents.

  • Main design issues for MAC (Medium Access Control) protocol in underwater sensor networks are long propagation delay caused by the low speed of sound, difficult synchronization, and energy-limited node's life. We aimed to mitigate the problems of strict synchronization and channel inefficiency of TDMA and also the throughput degradation induced by unavoidable collisions in contention based MAC protocols. This proposed protocol improved not only the energy efficiency by adopting a sleep-mode, but also the throughput by reducing collisions and increasing channel efficiency.

  • Recent social issues is energy issues, green computing has attracted attention. Active research on the power consumption of computer profiling is one of the various approaches for green computing. As a representative tool PowerAPI, PowerTop, JouleMeter, pTop, and EnergyChecker. These studies can be used to measure the power consumption of each computer device because it is based on a pure software. Based on this profiling process at the level of power consumption by performing the power consumption of each program can be analyzed. Therefore to identify the processes that consume a lot of power and control the total power consumption by reducing, also when designing the program, based on data profiling power enables the design of low-power programs, and ultimately can be oriented green computing. In this paper, by comparing and analyzing the associated representative studies, the ideal process level will draw on the characteristics of the power consumption profiler.

A Re-evaluation of Housing Wealth Effect in Korea (한국의 주택 부 효과에 대한 재고찰)

  • This paper attempts to re-evaluate the size of housing wealth effect in Korea. Our focus is on the size of 'genuine' housing wealth effect, i.e., the response of consumption spending by home-owners to the changes in housing wealth. Two issues show up while we estimate the 'genuine' wealth effects using aggregate time series data: the issues around home ownership and proper measure of consumption. We first argue that it is more appropriate to use non-housing consumption, because housing consumption is in large part not of the choice of home owners but the imputed rents they do not actually choose to pay. We then proceed to address the issue of home ownership, by examining how much to revise the estimates of housing wealth effect obtained from aggregate non-housing consumption data. We construct two structural models and estimate the share of home-owners' consumption in those models' context. It is found that, if properly revised in light of the estimated consumption shares of home-owners, the magnitude of resulting housing wealth effects are larger than what simple time series regressions imply.

  • 인터넷 및 IT 기술의 발전과 더불어 미디어산업에도 큰 변화가 일어나고 있다. TV 를 대신하여 스트리밍 서비스를 이용하는 사람들이 늘고 있으며 SNS 를 활용하여 서로의 경험을 간접적으로 공유하는 형태의 새로운 문화 컨텐츠가 자리잡아가고 있다. 하지만 이러한 컨텐츠를 소비하는 주요 계층 중에는 초중고 학생들도 포함되어 있다. 인터넷 혹은 SNS 에서 소비되는 컨텐츠들을 관리 감독하는 컨트롤 타워가 부족하거나 전무하기 때문에 폭력, 음주, 흡연 등 사회적으로 악영향을 줄 수 있는 영상 또는 사진이 무분별하게 생산되어 청소년들에 의해 소비되고 있으며 더 나아가 이것이 사회적 문제로까지 대두되고 있다. 이러한 문제를 해결하기 위해 인공지능 기술을 활용한 여러 다양한 감시 시스템 개발을 위한 연구가 한창이다. 본 연구에서는 SNS 및 스트리밍 서비스에서 제공되는 영상 및 사진을 Pose Estimation 및 표정 인식 기술을 활용하여 폭력을 자동적으로 감지할 수 있는 폭력 감지 시스템을 개발하는데 그 목적이 있다.

Fashion Consumption Expenditure During the COVID-19 Pandemic: Comparison by Generation and Income Status (코로나19 시기의 패션소비지출의 변화: 세대 및 소득계층의 비교)

  • This study investigated how COVID-19 imparted the fashion expenditure of households in Korea. During the COVID-19 pandemic, the ratio of fashion expenditure to household income and the ratio of fashion expenditure to household consumption expenditure were estimated using secondary data of national statistics. The household income and expenditure data in Korea were extracted from 2018 to 2021. The household was categorized by generations such as gen Z, gen M, gen X, Baby Boomer, and Silent generation, and the household income status was identified by the income quintile. The outcome revealed that the ratio of fashion usage expenditure to income decreased following COVID-19 equated to before COVID-19 and revealed the significant differences by income quintile. The ratio of fashion consumption to household expenditure significantly differed between the pre-COVID-19 and the post-COVID-19. The difference in the ratio of fashion consumption to household expenditure was important by generations, and it was not affirmed by the income quintile.
