  • In 1981. KOREA applied YEAR OF WORLD DISABLED DESIGNNATED BY UN as starting point to begin noticing disabled and gradually improve and understand the problems of the disabled. This study considering the income level and welfare level selected basic most widely used wheelchair as subject of study. Design Application of this study's main analysis are as follolVs 1. MAN-MACHINE INTERFACE STUDY ANALYSIS!Basic concept of wheelchair is for persons uncapable of move by sitting down. so main focus of study was considered on equipment which on chair. 2. WHEELCHAm MOVEMENT STUDY ANALYSISlThrough movement and test measurement which can be considered as basic study of Ergonomics, observe movement changes accordingly. 3. BACK(MAIN) WHEEL AND HANDRIM MOVEMENT ANALYSIS / Seat and wheel as the most important component of a wheelchair, study the relation of handrim and hand movement and test the most effective and comfortable handrim. Direction of the study was concerntrated on three areas, with results and information collected, would like to suggest design change of X type collapsible chair in areas of size of SEAT(air pocket type), HANDRIM(anti-slip hump), ARMHEST(transfer movement, rubber padding. accent), and HANDLE(adjustable, round type). • One of the key domains within a smart tourism city, smart mobility, encompasses advanced transportation means and services rooted in Information and Communication Technology (ICT). This includes shared bicycles, scooters, car-sharing services, smart transportation infrastructure, and more, aiming to surpass limitations of conventional transport and improve the movement of people and goods. It also serves tourists as an affordable and convenient mode of transport between attractions while also enhancing the overall travel experience. This study has defined 'smart tourism mobility' as a form of mobility grounded in ICT, exhibiting exceptional connectivity, serving public interest, and serving as a mode of transport for both residents and tourists in a smart tourism city. The research aimed to outline the scope of smart tourism mobility-related industries through expert Delphi surveys and estimate their economic effects within a smart tourism city. Specifically, this study updated 2015 input-output table and made 2020 regional input-output table of Seoul adopting RAS method and location quotient method. The results showed that the about 2.8 billion KRW investment of Seoul in smart tourism mobility may create more than 4.1 billion KRW in production inducement effect which is expected to create more than 1.6 billion KRW of income-inducing effect, 3.6 billion KRW of value-added-inducing effect, and 54 employment across all industries in Seoul in 2022.

  • This study examined the relationship between income and the value of leisure to develop a more accurate model of the labor market without necessarily losing the primary merit of the received model. Moreover, with an improved understanding of the labor market dynamics, it can be seen that progressive era labor market legislation, which was designed to mitigate the effects of the bargaining power inequality in low wage labor markets, was in fact based on sensible economic foundations. These low-wage dynamics present an example of a positive feedback system or "vicious circle" at work in the economy. The market dynamics of the low wage sector push the wage away from the range that is consistent with a self-regulating market.

  • Floating architecture is the most effective way to accommodate itself to sea-level rise due to climate change. At the same time floating architecture is the best model to offer the new spatial experience through water-friendly environment. Domestic floating architecture is still on the early stage compared to Europe which has several companies specialized in designing and building floating architecture. Floating architecture is divided into 8 types according to its criteria such as program, form, scale, level, location, access, mobility and energy. The following are design characteristics of floating architecture : (1) composed of 2 stories, (2) having large deck, (3) designing rectangular plan and balanced mass, (4) maximizing view, (5) having water-friendly space, (6) multi-using space and minimizing surface, (7) planning section to control light reflecting from the water, (8) modular and unit system.

  • OECD countries have been stimulating private pensions instead of public pensions because the financial stability of public pensions has been threatened by the aging population. Korea, which has the fastest aging population in the world, has been following the recommended policies of major countries. Unlike major economies, however, most of Korea's household assets are composed of real estate assets. Due to the economic and social importance of real estate assets in Korea, the wealth effect of real estate has been used as a major tool in macroeconomic policy. This study analyzed the effect of real estate value changes on the contribution of private pensions (personal pension + retirement pension). Utilizing a two-way, fixed effect model with the balanced panel data of the National Survey of Tax and Benefit, empirical results presented that the private pension contribution increased by 0.171% when the value of real estate increased by 1%. Thus, real estate value changes were analyzed as positive for retirement preparation through private pension. These results suggested that if the real estate market would shrink in the future, consumption would decrease, and the degree of preparation for retirement might be smaller.

  • Recently, many difficulties have been faced in all parts of the world due to the impact of COVID-19. Personally, household income is decreasing sharply as many jobs disappear, and economically, many SMEs are increasingly going bankrupt. It is known that this phenomenon is highly likely to continue for the time being. In such a situation, the smart factory support project provides opportunities for difficult SMEs to improve productivity and change the corporate structure. In this study, the current status of smart factory promotion was examined, and problems occurring in the process of promoting smart factory support projects were identified. The improvement plans were derived so that more efficient projects could be promoted in the future.

  • This study analyzed the effect of pay-as-you-throw bag prices on domestic waste through the natural experiment difference in difference with synthetic control method using cases of price cuts in some districts in Busan in 2019. In order to consider the endogenous problem when estimating demand and price elasticity, the price-invariant district was set as a synthetic control group and the price-cutting district was set as a treatment group. As a result of the analysis, the price elasticity of demand was 0.05~0.11, and the price of the pay-as-you-throw bag had little effect in sales. This seems to be because pay-as-you-throw bag is necessities and account for a very small proportion of household income. This suggests that a policy that can shift the demand curve will be more effective than a price policy to achieve the waste reduction goal because the demand curve is almost vertical.

  • The present study examined patterns of co-occurrence between DSM-5 posttraumatic stress disorder(PTSD) symptoms and posttraumatic growth(PTG) among Korean populations(n= 860). Latent profile analysis was used to identify subclasses and suggested that the 3-class model fit best: (1) Low PTSD/Mild PTG group (2) Low PTSD/High PTG group; (3) High PTSD/High PTG group. Class membership was predicted by demographic variables, social isolation, and frequency of traumatic experiences. Classes also differed with respect to self-destructive behaviors(binge eating, non-suicidal self-injury, and problem drinking). These findings contribute to future research about the coexisting patterns of PTSD and PTG, and to identify high-risk individuals who suffer from trauma-related problems in clinical practice.

  • This study aims to analyze the satisfaction of seniors living in Cheonan City downtown as to their residential environment. Also, this study intends to identify which factors should be improved first to make downtown a favorable residential area. To that end, 'social indicators of Chungnam' was used. The collected data was analyzed through a statistical analysis method using ANOVA (analysis of variance) and a cluster analysis. It led to the following findings. First, 6.9% of the elderly residents expressed their wish to move from their downtown residence. Thus, the majority of the residents do not want to move. Second, the satisfaction of the elderly residents in their downtown residence scored 6.09. The score is higher than those of other regions. Thus, it is highly possible to develop downtown into a senior-friendly area. Third, as for satisfaction in downtown residence, it was higher among the following groups: men; those with high school or higher level of education; those earning at least a million won a month; family of one generation. Fourth, satisfaction in the following factors was relatively low: culture and education; interaction with neighbors and trust in them; car accidents. Thus, those factors should be improved for downtown residents. Above all, community-faced facilities should be expanded to increase exchanges with neighbors and trust in them. To attract women dissatisfied with downtown residence. it is imperative to increase daily safety by reducing car accidents and crime.
