RF Magnetron Sputtering 방법으로 증착한 TiO2 / WO3 박막의 특성

  • 일반적으로 TiO2와 WO3는 광촉매 작용으로 인하여 살균력을 보이며, 친수성으로 인해 자가 세정 능력을 가져 유리 및 건축자재의 표면처리, 전자제품의 마감처리 용도로 많이 사용하고 있다. 현재 Sol-gel, CVD, Sputter, Spin-coating 방법 등으로 많은 연구가 진행되어 오고 있다. 이에 본 실험에서는 박막의 두께를 균일하게 만들 수 있는 RF-magnetron sputtering 방법을 이용하여 표면 경도와 부착력이 우수한 TiO2에 열적 특성과 화학적 특성이 안정한 WO3를 Double Layer 방식으로 증착하여 박막을 제작하였다. 광학적 특성을 알아 본 결과 가시광 영역에서 TiO2 / WO3 Double Layer 박막이 80% 이상의 높은 투과율을 나타내었으며, 박막의 표면을 확인 한 결과 TiO2 / WO3 Double Layer 박막이 더 조밀한 표면을 보였다. 또한 접촉각을 측정을 통하여 TiO2박막보다 TiO2 / WO3 double layer박막이 낮은 접촉각을 나타내었다. 이는 TiO2 표면은 소수성이나 WO3로 인해 광촉매 기능이 향상되어 공기 중의 물 분자가 해리 흡착되면서 친수성이 향상되는 것으로 사료된다. 이러한 박막은 건물의 외벽이나 자동차의 내 외장재 전자기기용 광학 필름에 자가세정, 내반사 코팅소재로 활용 가치가 높을 것으로 예상된다.

Synthesis and Evaluation of Ecofriendly Nontoxic Cleaning Agents (무독성 친환경 세정제의 합성 및 평가에 관한 연구)

  • In order to reduce toxicity on the human body, four new cleaning agents (1-4) containing ester and ether functionalities have been invented. The synthesized cleaning agents's physical properties, biodegradabilities, and $LD_{50}$ values, which were conducted by Korea Testing Certification Institute by using standard method, showed excellent values. A specimen for cleaning ability was prepared by cutting in $60{\times}40mm$ size of stainless steel plate. The surface of the above specimens was treated with four different kinds of contaminants, such as cutting oil, anti-rust oil, drawing oil, and lubricating oil. Contaminated specimens were then immersed in compounds (1-4) for 1 to 5 minutes to dissolve oil in the cleaning agent. The data indicate that all compounds (1-4) exhibit good cleaning ability toward four contaminant oils. It is also confirmed that these compounds can be applicable to various industrial cleaning fields as nontoxic and biodegradable cleaning agents because of their excellent biodegradabilities and $LD_{50}$ values.

생쥐 정소에서 C-terminal Src kinase (Csk) 발현과 Src kinase 활성의 조절

  • Protein tyrosine kinases는 표적단백질의 tyrosine 잔기를 인산화하는 효소로서 다양한 종류의 성장인자, peptide 호르몬, cytokine 수용체 하위의 세포 내 신호전달에 관여한다. Non-receptor tyrosine kinase의 일종인 c-Src는 세포막에서 발생한 ligand-receptor 상호작용 하위의 신호전달에서 중요한 역할을 하며 C-terminal Src kinase (Csk)는 Src kinase의 C-terminal tyrosine 잔기를 인산화시켜 Src kinase의 활성을 저해한다. 이러한 Src-Csk loop를 통한 세포 내 신호전달과정은 세포의 증식과 분화, 사멸 조절에 중요한 기능을 갖지만 정소의 발생과 분화 과정에서 Src-Csk loop의 발현 및 정자형성 과정에서의 기능은 밝혀지지 않았다. 본 연구에서는 생쥐 정소에서 출생 후 성적 성숙과정에서 Csk의 발현과 Src kinase 활성의 변동을 조사하였다. Csk mRNA 발현은 생 후 2주령 이하의 미성숙 정소에서 다량으로 발현되었고 사춘기 정소 이후에는 오히려 감소하였다. Csk 단백질의 발현 양상은 mRNA 발현양상과 일치하였다. c-Src kinase 활성은 생 후 2주에 급격히 증가하고 이 후 4주령에서 감소하다가 성체 (8주령)에서 다시 증가하여 가장 높았다. 성체 조직의 Csk 단백질 현존량이 미성숙 개체보다 적은 반면 Src kinase 활성은 가장 높아 Csk 발현의 감소는 Src kinase 활성을 증가하는 것으로 사료된다. 면역조직화학방법으로 정소 조직 내 Csk의 발현양상을 조사한 결과 Leydig cell, Sertoli cell, germ cell 등 도처에서 발현되었으며 Sertoli cell 에서의 발현은 세정관 상피의 구성에 따른 차이가 확인되었다. 성체의 세정관 내에서는 감수분열 이후의 정세포(spermatid)를 감싸고 있는 Sertoli cell의 강소측에서 강한 Csk 활성이 검출되어 생식세포의 분화과정 동안 세정관 상피의 조직재구성에 관여하는 것으로 사료된다. Leydig cell에서의 발현은 생후 1주령까지는 미미하였으나 이후 2주령 이후에는 다량으로 발현함이 확인되어 adult type Leydig cell에서 진행되는 steroidogenesis와의 관련성을 추측할 수 있다. 미성숙 정소로부터 분리한 Sertoli cell-enriched culture에 200 nM testosterone을 처리하였을 때 Csk mRNA의 발현의 증가를 확인할 수 있었으므로 androgen에 의한 Sertoli cell의 분화과정에 Csk가 관여하고 있음을 알 수 있다. 결론적으로 성적 성숙에 따른 생쥐 정소 내 Src-Csk loop의 발현과 Src kinase 활성의 변동은 정소 내 간충조직, 세정관 상피의 증식 및 기능적 분화 과정을 매개하는 생리적 활성분자 수용체 하위의 신호전달 과정에 Src-Csk loop에 의한 조절가능성을 확인할 수 있었다.

  • This paper is a study about a proper method of plasma generation to cleaning method and a high frequency power equipment circuit to generation of plasma that used cleaning of chamber for TFT-LCD PECVD. The high density plasma required for cleaning causes a possibility of high density plasma more than $1{\times}10^{11}[EA/cm^3]$. It apply a ferrite core of ferromagnetic body to a existing ICP form. In case of power transfer equipment on 400[kHz] high frequency to generation of plasma it makes certain a stable switching operation in condition of plasma through using a inverter form for general purpose HB. And it demonstrates the performance of power transfer equipment using methods of measurement which use a transformer of series combination the density of plasma and the rate of dissolution of $NF_3$ in condition of $A_r\;and\;NF_3$.

PLAQUE CONTROL EFFECT OF TOOTH BRUSHING INSTRUCTION (칫솔질 교육의 치면 세균막 억제 효과)

  • To maintain good oral hygiene, plaque control is essential and the most common and effective method is appropriate brushing. However accurate brushing is so difficult for children that the importance of brush is getting higher. We investigated the effect of tooth brushing instruction in plaque control for 40 children who came to Kyunghee university dental hospital, department of pediatric dentistry. We examined basic information by self-assessment, evaluated plaque index, tooth & tongue cleanness, malodor index for 4 times and compared values before and after tooth brushing instruction. Plaque index decreased(p<0.01) and tooth & tongue cleanness increased(p<0.01). There were no significant differences in mal-odor index. In conclusion, tooth brushing instruction is effective in removing dental plaque and its beneficial role is highly expected in establishing children's good oral hygiene.

A Basic Research for the Development of Cleaning Agent for Stone Made Cultural Property (석조 문화재 보존 처리용 세정제 개발에 관한 기초연구)

  • The cleaning in conservation treatment of cultural heritage is very important process. For the best conservation treatment of cultural heritage, except having a good detergency, the cleaning agent must be able to keep the heritage from the secondary deposition and re-soiling, damage and etc. In this paper, the dust (lichen, algae, dust, etc.) on the surface of stone made heritage was treated with some kinds of solvents and analyzed with FT-IR to develop a cleaning agent for stone made cultural heritage. And the cleaning ability to the dust and the corrosion ratio to the granite of the cleaning agent was investigated. Nonionic surfactants were good for treatment of stone-made cultural heritage. The reason is that nonionic surfactants are stable in acidic solution, and possess low reactivity with the compound of stone and low possibility to the second contamination, and build up the reactivities of acids and oxidants. A new cleaning agent composed with $H_2O_2/HF/NP-10$ shows a good cleaning ability for the conservation treatment of stone made cultural heritage.

  • An Experimental study of cleaning solution has been performed on a high capacity steam boiler burning heavy fuel oil to on-line cleaning of deposit. The deposit is mixture of soot, slag, ash, metal oxide and clinker. The traditional technology of deposit cleaning was carried hand-crafted. The conventional technology of boiler cleaning method is mechanical removal by the worker while the boiler shut down operation. In this experiment, the deposit of mixture of soot, slag, ash, metal oxide and clinker has been removed by the cleaning agents without shut down of boiler burning. This study found out the optimum cleaning solution composition. The best results have been obtained when the mixture of ammonium nitrate and $MgNO_3$ were used in cleaning solution. The various transition metal effect was investigated for optimum mixing condition. In this research, the metal compound additive of the clean solution compoition was obtained. The combustion efficiency was improved by on-line cleaning with derived clean solution compoition. On-line cleaning method prevents the fouling and corrosion in the boiler and heat exchanger.

Effects of antibacterial mouth rinses on multiple oral biofilms model (구강세정제가 다중 구강 바이오필름 모델에 미치는 영향)

  • Objectives: To confirm the antibacterial effects of each mouth rinse on multiple oral biofilms in vitro. Methods: The antibacterial effects of different mouth rinses were examined by ATP and counted colony forming units (CFU). Preformed oral biofilms on saliva coated hydroxyapatite (sHA) disks were treated with essential oil and saline; then, the multiple oral biofilms were observed by Scanning electron microscope (SEM). RNA sequencing analysis was performed on total RNA isolated from old biofilms of P. intermedia ATCC 49046. Results: In the CFU measured result compared to controls, preformed multiple oral biofilms were reduced from a low of 39.0% to 95.7% (p<0.05). The size of bacterial cells changed after treatment with the essential oil, and some of the cells ruptured into small pieces of cell debris. Gene expression in P. intermedia ATCC 49046 significantly altered in RNA transcribed and protein translated genes after exposure to essential oil. Conclusions: Mouth rinse solutions with different ingredients had different antibacterial effects and may alter surface structure and gene expression as determined by RNA sequencing.

The efficacy of ultrasonic irrigation technique on debris removal during root canal treatment (근관치료 시 초음파 세정 기술을 이용한 잔사 제거의 효율성)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was comparing the efficacy of passive irrigation (PI) and passive ultrasonic irrigation (PUI) for ability to remove debriment of canals. Materials and Methods: Mandibular premolars were decoronated and standardized to 16 mm length. After root canal enlargement and half separating longitudinally, standardized groove of 4 mm length, 0.2 mm width and 0.5 mm depth were formed on the dentin wall of one half. Three depressions in the canal wall of the opposite half, 0.3 mm in diameter and 0.5 mm in depth, were formed. After each groove and depression was filled with dentin debris, two sections of each half were reassembled using impression putty material. In group 1 the canals were irrigated with 2.5% NaOCl by PI. In group 2 the canals were irrigated with 2.5% NaOCl by PUI. Before and after root canal irrigation, the root canal wall of the section was taken with a microscope and a digital camera as images. The amount of dentin debris remaining in grooves and depressions was assessed using a scoring system. Results: There was no significant difference between PI and PUI except for the middle 1/3 of the root canal (P = 0.004). Conclusion: At the middle 1/3 of the root canal, PUI removed more dentine debris than PI. But the removal efficiency of dentin debris is not significantly different between the PUI and PI at the apical area of root canal in mandibular premolars.

Evaluation of Cleaning ability and Environmental Evaluation of Commercial Aqueous/Semi-aqueous Cleaning Agents (시판 수계/준수계 세정제의 세정성 및 환경성 평가 연구)

  • In most of industrial fields, cleaning is employed for removing soils on their products or parts. Halogenated cleaning agents such as CFC-113, 1,1,1-TCE(1,1,1-trichloroethane), MC(methylene chloride) and TCE (trichloroethylene) have been used as cleaning ones in most of companies in the world since their excellent performance of cleaning ability and good material compatibility. However, CFC-113 and 1,1,1-TCE which are ozone destruction substances are not used any more in the advanced countries because of the which are ozone destruction substances are not used any more in the advanced countries because of the Montreal protocol. MC and TCE are now used restrictively at small part of industrial fields in most of countries since they are known to be hazardous or carcinogenic materials. Thus, it is indispensible that the alternative cleaning agents which are environmental-friendly and safe, and show good cleaning ability should be developed or utilized for replacement of the halogenated cleaning agents. Aqueous/semi-aqueous cleaning agents are evaluated to be promising alternative ones among various alternatives in environmental and economical view point. In this study, commercially available 12 aqueous and 6 semi-aqueous cleaning agents were selected and their physical properties, cleaning abilities, rinsing abilities and recycling of contaminated rinse water were measured and analyzed. Aqueous cleaning agents with higher wetting index showed better cleaning ability compared with those with lower wetting index. However wetting index did not have any correlation with cleaning ability in semi-aqueous cleaning agents. It was observed that soil concentration in aqueous and semi-aqueous cleaning agents should be maintained below the certain concentrations which depend on types of clearing agents. More than 70% soils in contaminated rinse water by some of aqueous and semi-aqueous clearing agents could be separated by simple settling method. This means that some cleaning agents with high oil-water separation efficiency will be effiective for recycling oil-contaminated rinse water. It was found that contaminated rinse water with aqueous agents was purified easiy by ultrafiltration method with PAN membrane of 30 kDa.
