  • 본 연구에서는 전기집진 기술과 여과집진 기술의 조합에 의한 먼지입자의 포집성능 상승효과를 최대한 높일 수 있는 먼지부하 저감형 하이브리드 집진장치(Hi-Filter)를 개발하기 위한 연구의 일환으로 장치의 스케일 업에 따른 성능 변화 특성과 운전 조건을 결정하기 위해 파일럿 규모의 실험장치를 설계 및 제작하고, 운전 조건에 따른 성능 변화를 고찰하였다.

  • 이동 컴퓨팅 환경에서 통신망 제약을 극복하기 위한 방법으로 비연결 수행을 통한 컴퓨팅이 사용된다. 이동 컴퓨팅 환경은 유비쿼터스 환경으로 발전함에 따라 처리 할 정보의 요구량과 통신망 사용률이 증가 하게 된다. 그러나 노드의 환경 변화에 따라 빈번한 통신망 단절은 시스템의 성능을 저하시킨다. 본 논문에서는 이동 단말 노드에서 여러 개의 태스크가 통신망 자원을 사용하여 수행될 때 통신망 단절에 대비하기 위한 실시간 비연결 수행 스케줄링기법의 성능을 비교하였다. 실시간 알고리즘에 따른 성능 변화를 분석하여, 각 영향을 주는 요소를 파악하여 가장 효율적인 실시간 알고리즘을 적용할 수 있도록 한다.

  • 본 연구에서는 화재감지기 중 연기감지기로 가장 많이 사용되고 있는 광전식 연기감지기의 신뢰성에 대하여 분진을 이용하여 검증하는 방법과 감도성능변화에 대하여 분석한 연구이다. 여러번 분진을 이용하여 실험을 실시한 결과 분진의 농도가 높아질수록 감도성능이 저하되는 것을 실험적으로 확인하였고, 동작시간에 대한 실측데이터를 제시하였다.

  • To evaluate the hydraulic and cavitation performance of a fuel pump for a liquid rocket engine, performance tests of the pump, which consist of hydraulic tests and cavitation tests, were conducted in water environment with various condition. In the hydraulic tests, the head, efficiency and volute pressure distribution of the pump are found to follow the conventional similarity rule, whereas the secondary flow pressure shows a small deviation from the similarity rule. As the floating gap is constricted, the efficiency of the pump improves and the secondary flow pressure decreases. However, the inner diameter of bypass line orifice does not show clear relationship with the pump efficiency. In the cavitation tests, measurements of the head and the NPSH indicate that the pump shows better cavitation performance as the rotational speed of the pump increases.

  • Streaming data is a sequence of data samples that are consistently generated over time. The data distribution or concept can change over time, and this change becomes a factor to reduce the performance of a classification model. Adaptive incremental learning can maintain the classification performance by updating the current classification model with the weight adjusted according to the degree of concept drift. However, selecting the proper weight value depending on the degree of concept drift is difficult. In this paper, we propose a dynamic ensemble method based on adaptive weight adjustment according to the degree of concept drift. Experimental results demonstrate that the proposed method shows higher performance than the other compared methods.

A study on the variations of water temperature and sonar performance using the empirical orthogonal function scheme in the East Sea of Korea (동해에서 경험직교함수 기법을 이용한 수온과 소나성능 변화 연구)

  • For measuring the performance of passive sonars, we usually consider the maximum Detection Range (DR) under the environment and system parameters in operation. In shallow water, where sound waves inevitably interacts with sea surface or bottom, detection generally maintains up to the maximum range. In deep water, however, sound waves may not interact with sea surface or/and bottom, and thus there may exist shadow zones where sound waves can hardly reach. In this situation, DR alone may not completely define the performance of each sonar. For complete description of sonar performance, we employ the concept 'Robustness Of Detection (ROD)'. In the coastal region of the East Sea, the spatial variations of water masses have close relations with DR and ROD, where the two parameters show reverse spatial variations in general. The spatial and temporal analysis of the temperature by employing the Empirical Orthogonal Function (EOF) shows that the 1-st mode represents typical pattern of seasonal variation and the 2-nd mode represents strength variations of mixed layers and currents. The two modes are estimated to explain about 92 % of the variations. Assuming two types of targets located at the depths of 5 m (shallow) and 100 m (deep), the passive sonar performance (DR) gives high negative correlations (about -0.9) with the first two modes. Most of temporal variations of temperature occur from the surface up to 200 m in the water column so that when we assume a target at 100 m, we can expect detection performance of little seasonal variations with passive sonars below 100 m.

  • In the early stage of helicopter design, an optimal configuration is usually determined after a numerous parametric study about the aerodynamic performance due to geometric variation. In order to improve the aerodynamic performance of a shrouded tail rotor, optimization of the tip clearance gap between blade and shroud, the blade planform shape, and the arrangement of blade spacing is required. In the present study, the aerodynamic performance characteristics of a shrouded tail rotor due to geometric variation was investigated by using an inviscid compressible unstructured mesh flow solver for rotary wings.

  • 수소 기관에서 역화없이 고성능과 저$NO_x$를 실현시키기 위하여 밸브 타이밍 변화에 따른 흡기관 분사식 수소 기관의 성능을 파악하고 가솔린의 경우와 비교하였다. 그 결과 흡기밸브 타이밍은 역화억제와 성능향상에 큰 영향을 미치는 것을 확인하였다. 흡기밸브타이밍의 진각은 역화를 억제하며 효율과 출력을 동시에 향상된다. 비록 흡기밸브 타이밍 변화에 의해 NOx는 증가하지만, 희박영역인 출 ${\Phi}=0.5$에서 현저히 감소된다. 또한 열효율은 ${\Phi}=0.5$ 토크는 ${\Phi}=1.0$에서 가장 높게 나타난다. 흡기밸브 타이밍을 $ATDC20^{\circ}$에서 TDC로 변화시켰을 때, ${\Phi}=1.0$에서 토크는 약 28% 증가되고, ${\Phi}=0.5$에서 효율은 약 7%향상된다.

  • A liquid rocket engine(LRE) Using LO$_2$/LNG(Liquefied Natural Gas) propellants was experimentally evaluated. The purpose of this study was to investigate the performance of the LO$_2$/LNG rocket combustor that is composed of three sect ions(igniter spacer, cylinder and nozzle section), especially focused on the influence of regenerative cool ing effect in association with the phase of regenerative coolant Series of tests were conducted under the conditions of water cool ing and regenerative cool ing with LNG in the cylinder section and independent cool ing with water in the igniter spacer and nozzle sections. Parametric studies on the variation of a chamber pressure and mixture ratio were undertaken. In addition, effect of propellant(LNG) composition and its enthalpy on the performance is examined.

Effects of Spark Plug Changes on Performance of an SI Engine Fueled by Gaseous Fuel (스파크플러그 변화에 따른 가스 엔진 성능 변화)

  • Renewable gas fuels such as biogas and landfill gas are obtained from the biodegradable organic wastes so that they inherently have carbon-neutral nature which can respond global warming. Therefore, attentions are paid to use this renewable gases as a main fuel for internal combustion engines. However, the composition of the fuel varies by its origin or conversion process, it is necessary to make stable combustion and accomplish high efficiency when used in power generating spark ignition (SI) engines. In this study, efforts have been made to investigate the effect of the composition of renewable gas fuel on the engine performance and exhaust emissions. In addition, a new spark plug with a long electrode was tested and compared with a base spark plug as a way to improve engine efficiency and reduce harmful emissions.
