A Hybrid Heuristic Approach for Supply Chain Planningwith n Multi-Level Multi-Item Capacitated Lot Sizing Model (자원제약하의 다단계 다품목 공급사슬망 생산계획을 위한 휴리스틱 알고리즘)

  • Planning distributed manufacturing logistics is one of main issues in supply chain management. This paper proposes a hybrid heuristic approach for the Multi-Level, multi-item Capacitated Lot Sizing Problem (MLCLSP) in supply chain network. MLCLSP corresponds to a mixed integer programming (MIP) problem. With integer variable solutions determined by heuristic search, this MIP problem becomes linear program (LP). By repeatedly solving the relaxed MIP problems with a heuristic search method in a hybrid manner, this proposed approach allocates finite manufacturing resources fur each distributed facilities and generates feasible production plans. Meta heuristic search algorithm is presented to solve the MIP problems. The experimental test evaluates the computational performance under a variety of problem scenarios.

  • Queries on XML are based on paths in the data graph, which is represented as an edge labeled graph model. All proposed query languages for XML express queries using regular expressions to traverse arbitrary paths in the data graph. A meaningful query usually has several regular path expressions in it, but much of recent research is more concerned with optimizing a single path expression. In this paper, we present an efficient technique to process multiple path expressions in a query. We developed a data structure named as the path identifier(PID) to identify whether two given nodes lie on the fame path in the data graph or not, and utilized the PID for efficient processing of multiple path expressions. We implement our technique and present preliminary performance results.

  • With developing networks, information security is going to be important and therefore lots of intrusion detection system has been developed. Intrusion detection system has abilities to detect abnormal behavior and unknown intrusions also it can detect intrusions by using patterns studied from various penetration methods. Various algorithms are studying now such as the statistical method for detecting abnormal behavior, extracting abnormal behavior, and developing patterns that can be expected. Etc. This study using clustering of data mining and association rule analyzes detecting areas based on two models and helps design detection system which detecting abnormal behavior, unknown attack, misuse attack in a large network.

  • MapReduce is a widely used programming model for analyzing and processing Big data. Aggregate queries are one of the most common types of queries used for analyzing Big data. In this paper, we propose an efficient method for processing an aggregate query stream, where many concurrent users continuously issue different aggregate queries on the same data. Instead of processing each aggregate query separately, the proposed method processes multiple aggregate queries together in a batch by a single, optimized MapReduce job. As a result, the number of queries processed per unit time increases significantly. Through various experiments, we show that the proposed method improves the performance significantly compared to a naive method.

  • A real-time frame-layer rate control algorithm with a token bucket traffic shaper is proposed for minimizing video duality variation. The proposed rate control method uses a non-iterative optimization method for low computational complexity, and performs bit allocation at the frame level to minimize variation in distortion between frames. In order to reduce the quality fluctuation, we use a sliding window scheme which does not require the pre-analysis process. Therefore, the proposed algorithm does not produce the delay from encoding, and is suitable for real-time low-complexity video encoder. Experimental results indicate that the proposed control method provides better PSNR performance than the existing rate control method.

  • Although significant amount of research has been done to develop LED lamp packages for improved performance, no standard theories or guidelines have been established yet for designing LED lamp packages. In this paper, the photon extraction efficiency depending on both the InGaN/Sapphire LED chip structure and its attachment schemes for chip mounting has been analyzed by using the Monte Carlo photon simulation method. Based on the results of the analysis, we have derived guidelines for LED lamp package design, which can be utilized in industries or research institutes for designing new LED lamp packages optimized for particular applications.

  • KARI (Korea Aerospace Research Institute) is developing a design framework for the concept and preliminary design of eVTOL aircrafts. A low fidelity mission analysis tool was developed for the eVTOL aircrafts of Lift-Tilt Concept, which have tilt propellers and lift propellers, using open source SUAVE package. For its development, a review for the propeller performance analysis functionality was made. To find the trim solution at each mission segment automatically, an algorithm is implemented, using a global optimization technique through parallel processings and DOE(design of experiment). Using the tool, the one seated eVTOL OPPAV(optionally piloted personal air vehicle) was modeled and evaluated, which results were compared with the preliminary design data.

  • 모바일 엣지 컴퓨팅(Mobile Edge Computing, MEC)은 높은 컴퓨팅 성능을 요구하는 작업을 모바일 장치에서 가까운 MEC 서버로 오프로딩함으로써 모바일 서비스에 높은 계산 요구량을 효율적으로 제공할 수 있는 기술로 부상하였다. 본 논문에서는 실행 대기 시간과 장치 에너지 소비를 줄이기 위해 여러 가지의 독립적 작업을 통해 MEC 시스템에 대한 작업 오프로드 일정 및 전송 에너지 할당을 최적화하는 기법을 제안한다. 시뮬레이션 결과로 MEC 시스템에서 사용 가능한 무선 및 계산 리소스가 상대적으로 균형 잡혀있는 경우 작업 오프로딩 일정이 더 중요하다는 것을 확인했다.

  • This paper deals with multi-objective optimization using response surface method to improve the hydraulic performances of a 2 vane pump for wastewater treatment. For analyzing the internal flow field in the pump, steady Reynolds-averaged Navier-Stokes equations were solved with the shear stress transport turbulence model as a turbulence closure model. The impeller and volute variables were defined in the shape of the 2 vane pump. The objective functions were set to satisfy the total head at the design flow rate as well as to improve the efficiency. The hydraulic performance of the optimally designed shape was verified by numerical analysis results.

  • 본 논문은 다양한 방향성과 멀티 홉을 고려하여 최적의 콘텐츠 제공을 위한 릴레이 차량 선택 방안을 제안한다. 도로변 기지국의 제한성으로 인해 자율 주행 차량에 탑승한 승객들이 콘텐츠를 충분히 전달받는 데에 있어서, 지연시간과 버퍼링 등의 문제가 발생할 수 있다. 따라서, 도로변 기지국의 보조를 위하여 주위의 다른 차량들을 활용하여 요청된 콘텐츠를 원활하게 제공할 수 있다. 하지만, 기존 방안들은 한 대 또는 너무 많은 차량을 무분별하게 선택함으로써 최적화된 성능을 도출할 수 없었다. 그러므로, 본 논문은 요청 차량과 같은 방향으로 이동하는 1 차 릴레이 차량을 선발하는 데에 있어서 반대쪽에서 오는 2 차 릴레이 차량의 사전 캐싱량을 활용하는 방안을 제안한다. 1차 릴레이 차량의 충분한 요청 차량과의 연결 시간에 비교하여 부족한 사전 캐싱량을 2 차 릴레이 차량들로 보충함으로써 지연시간과 버려지는 패킷을 최소화할 수 있다.
