  • TTA(한국정보통신기술협회)는 2003년 4월 30일 ㈜엠시스(http://www.msys.tv)의 MPEG Player(모델명 : MSY200)의 기능 및 성능시험을 수행하여 TTA Verified 인증서(번호 : TTA-V-B-03-001)을 발급하였다. 위의 장비는 MPEG Player의 기본 기능인 Play, Record 외에 스트림 정보를 전면 LCD 창을 통해 확인할 수 있는 기능을 제공하며, 4개의 독자적인 물리채널 운용으로 Play, Record 등의 기능을 4 채널에서 동시에 독립적으로 동작시키는 것이 가능하고, 국제기준 PCR 정확도 및 균일 출력 비트율을 만족하였으며, 장시간 사용 동작 시험에서도 양호한 동작상태를 보장할 수 있는 성능을 나타내었다.

Analysis between Computer Simulation and Real-car Crash Test of Energy Absorption Facilities for Various Road Environments (다양한 환경에 적용 가능한 충격흡수시설의 시뮬레이션 분석 및 실물충돌시험 결과 분석)

  • Energy absorption facilities installed on roads should follow the performance standards of the real-car crash test of 'Installation and Maintenance Guidelines for Roadside Safety Facilities'. However, due to different installation conditions, such as differing structure widths on roads, some energy absorption facilities do not provide adequate performance. In order to apply varied environments on roads, an energy absorption structure was designed in this study with 150 mm height and four layers of W-shape guardrail at 200 mm intervals, and the performance was verified using LS-DYNA computer simulation. Through a real-car crash test, the performance of the facility designed by LS-DYNA was tested and was found to meet the performance of the CC2 category for crash cushions. The conclusion of the comparison demonstrates that the simulation and the real-car crash tests are both significant.

  • The marine electronic system for safe navigation such as ECDIS has been contributing to increase the safety of navigation, decreasing the mariner's load of navigation. The ECDIS should be developed and approved by international standard of IMO for performance standard and IEC for type-approval method and required results. However, these standards have some ambiguities for us not to directly adopt them for real approval system, so we should analyze them for more clear meaning and prepare our own detail standard for type-approval system. The first thing to do for the goal of this research was to analyze the standard in detail and make ambiguity be cleared in our own standards, considering each test item in view of test methodology. For the result of analysis we could develop more evident and detail type-approval standard for each test item with test technology needed. Especially, we developed the colour differentiation test process of ECDIS monitor, which include the colour differentiation formula derived from CIE colour scheme. Several test items require sensor informations of navigation equipment compatible with IEC 61162. We also developed the signal simulator for general messages of IEC 61162 that must be provided. Additionally, the type-approval processes and standards for Back-up arrangement and RCDS mode were developed.

  • 화재 시에는 발생 유독가스와 연기로 인하여 많은 인명 피해가 날 수 있으며, 따라서 주요 건물이나 시설에는 국민의 생명을 보호하기 위한 화재용 긴급대피마스크를 갖추도록 권고하고 있다. 하지만 그 성능에 대한 의혹이 꾸준히 제기되고 있어, 사용자인 국민으로서는 늘 불안한 심정이다. 이에 본 연구에서는 현재 국내 시판되고 있는 화재용 긴급대피마스크 5종에 대하여 KS 주요 시험항목에 의거하여 성능시험을 실시하고, 문제점을 진단하였다. 실험 결과, 일부 제품에서는 성능기준에 미치지 못하는 경우가 발생하였으며, 이는 화재 시 국민의 안전을 크게 위협하는 중차대한 사안이므로, 시급히 부적격 제품의 판매를 제한하고 성능기준에 맞는 제품만이 판매될 수 있도록 법적인 보완이 이루어져야 하는 것으로 나타났다.

Comparison on the fire performance of additional insulation materials for improving the fire retardancy in engine-room of FRP vessel (FRP 선박 기관실 난연성 향상을 위한 추가 방열재의 화재성능비교)

  • To prevent the flame spread in FRP vessel in fire, the engine-room of the vessel should be constructed additionally with laminated fire-retardant resin over 3 times or equivalent insulation materials to former according to the relevant standard for FRP vessel structure. It is surveyed that insulation materials called 'Gel coat' are widely used in FRP fishing vessel, however, test method and its criteria for Gel coat are not clearly establish and have not been evaluated yet, while test method and criteria for fire-retardant resin and fire-retardant polyurethane composite are described in test standard for type-approval. In this study, 3 fire-retardant resins, 4 gel coats, 1 flame-retardant paint and 1 polyurethane composite were selected based on the survey and were evaluated according to both IMO FTP Code part 5 and flame-retardant test. When comparing based on CFE values from flame-spread test, average value for 4 gel coats were lower than that of 3 fire-retardant resins. As for flame-retardant test, there were no significant differences between fire-retardant resin and gel coat, based on charred area.

  • 발전효율은 증기발생용 수질 보일러의 구조 및 재질 등 여러가지가 있겠으나 그중 연료의 연소효율이 가장 중요하여 이것과 관련한 성상 및 연료현상에 대하여 기술하고 또한 국내에서는 이를 성능시험에 대한 제도적 장치 및 기법이 확립되어 있지 않아 성능 기준의 판정이 곤란한 실정이므로 측정 방법도 간단히 부연하였다.

  • The purpose of this study is to develop a prototype curtain wall with improved seismic performance and to verify the seismic performance by conducting an inter-floor displacement test. To this end, a prototype of the curtain wall was manufactured and a displacement similar to the earthquake load was induced, and then the damaged state of the curtain wall was checked. As a result of the first test, the frame and glass of the curtain wall were not damaged, but the Weather Sealant was partially damaged. As a result of the second test, there was no problem of glass breakage in seismic class (special), seismic class (I), seismic class (II), and AAMA 501.6. Through this experiment, the seismic performance of the curtain wall prototype was verified.

Experimental Performance Estimate of a 40m PSC I Girder for Railway Bridges (40m PSC I형 철도교의 동적 성능 평가)

  • Here we report the results of an experimental laboratory test to verify the applicability to railway bridges of a PSC I girder of which the upper flange thickness was increased to improve sectional performance. The thicker this flange is, the further upward the neutral axis is moved. If in this way the span length can be increased to 40m long, the bridge may be constructed with four girders instead of five. Therefore, construction cost could be lowered by reducing the weight of the long span structure due to increased sectional efficiency. It was also necessary to be certain that the dynamic performance of this relatively flexible structure would be applicable to railway bridges. Therefore numerical analysis, as well as static and dynamic tests, was carried out for a full-size PSC I girder. Based on these results, it was verified that the performance of the PSC I railway bridge satisfied the performance criteria of the design code.

  • 한국정보통신기술협회(TTA)는 2003년 3월 7일 대은전자㈜(http://www.dek.co.kr/) Gate Hub(모델명: DEK1521)의 성능시험을 수행하여 TTA Verified 인증서(번호: TTA-V-N-03-014)를 발급하였다. 또한 2003년 4월 3일 ㈜네오정보시스템(http://www.neoinfosys.co.kr/) 세대통신 분배장치(모델명: NIS - HM1616A)의 성능시험을 수행하여 TTA Verified 인증서(번호: TTA-V-N-03-026)를 발급하였다. 위의 두 장비는 Fast Ethernet Switch module과 전화 및 데이터 라인 연결 module을 함께 갖추었으며, TTA가 위의 두 장비를 이용하여 수행한 시험은 Fast Ethernet Switch module의 성능을 측정하는 것이었다. 본 고에서는 TTA가 마련한 Fast Ethernet Switch에 대한 인증기준(TTA-V-N-03-004-CC20)을 바탕으로 위의 두 장비에 대해 수행한 Fully meshed Throughput/Aging 시험 결과를 소개한다.
