Machine Learning-based MCS Prediction Models for Link Adaptation in Underwater Networks (수중 네트워크의 링크 적응을 위한 기계 학습 기반 MCS 예측 모델 적용 방안)

  • This paper proposes a link adaptation method for Underwater Internet of Things (IoT), which reduces power consumption of sensor nodes and improves the throughput of network in underwater IoT network. Adaptive Modulation and Coding (AMC) technique is one of link adaptation methods. AMC uses the strong correlation between Signal Noise Rate (SNR) and Bit Error Rate (BER), but it is difficult to apply in underwater IoT as it is. Therefore, we propose the machine learning based AMC technique for underwater environments. The proposed Modulation Coding and Scheme (MCS) prediction model predicts transmission method to achieve target BER value in underwater channel environment. It is realistically difficult to apply the predicted transmission method in real underwater communication in reality. Thus, this paper uses the high accuracy BER prediction model to measure the performance of MCS prediction model. Consequently, the proposed AMC technique confirmed the applicability of machine learning by increase the probability of communication success.

  • AIS is one of the most critical systems in any organization. Data quality plays a critical role in a knowledge-based economy. The objective of this study is to identify the most important factors for accounting information quality and their impact on AIS data quality outcomes. This study includes an extensive literature review to identify a set of CSF for data quality. The study uses empirical data to test the research hypothesis and resluts show that the top three most important factors that affect AIS's data quality are toop management commitmentm the nature of the AIS and input controls. The study further uses regression analysis to test the effect of those factors on AIS data quality, finding that there is a significant positive relationship between the perceived performance of the three factors and AIS data quality putcomes. To be develop to AIS data quality further study for CSF's control methodology is necessary.

  • The subjects of this study were 514 people aged 65 and older who voluntarily participated in the senior welfare center in Seoul and Gyeonggi. The purpose of this study is to analyze the relationship between muscular strength, cognitive function, activities of daily living, depression variables of elderly people in a comprehensive evaluation. As for the data collection methods, were measured the upper and lower body strength, grip strength(left, right), cognitive function(mini-mental state examination, trail marking test, digit span test, stroop test), activities of daily living and depression was measured using a questionnaire. The results are as follows First, there was a statistically significant correlation between the elderly's muscular strength, cognitive function, daily living ability, and depression. Second, the statistical significance was found among all the variables as a result of the analysis of the elderly's integrated muscular strength, cognitive function, activities of daily living and depression. This study can provide basic data for successful aging and independent retirement life of the elderly by confirming the relationship between the elderly's muscular strength, cognitive function, Activities of daily living, and depression.

  • Venture capital invests the necessary capital and supports management and technology in promising small and medium-sized venture companies in the early stages of start-up with promising technology and excellent manpower. It plays a role as a key player in the venture ecosystem that realizes profits by collecting the investment through various means after growth. Venture capital's job is to recruit various investors(LPs) to invest in small and medium-sized venture companies with growth potential through the formation of venture investment funds, and to collect investment as companies grow, distribute and reinvest. The main tasks of venture capitalists, which play the most important role in venture investment, are finding promising companies, corporate analysis and evaluation, investment screening, follow-up management, and investment recovery. Venture capital's success indicators are fund formation and return on investment, and venture capitalists are rewarded with annual salary, performance-based incentive, and promotion with work performance such as investment, exit, and fund formation. Compared to the recent rapidly growing venture investment market, investment manpower is insufficient, and venture capital is making great efforts to foster manpower and establish infrastructure and systems for long-term service, but research has been conducted mainly from a quantitative perspective. Accordingly, this study aims to empirically analyzed the impact of investment experience, delegation of authority, job fit, and peer relationships on fund formation and return on investment according to the characteristics of the venture capital industry. The results of these empirical studies suggested that future venture capital needs a job environment and manpower operation strategy so that venture capitalists with high job fit and investment experience can work for a long time.

  • Intensive studies have been focused on conditions for business foundation and the entrepreneurship in light of management, economy, and social psychometrics. This study focused on potential effect of entrepreneurial characteristics on environment for entrepreneurial intentions in establishment of orientation of entrepreneurial intentions. Among various factors affecting on starting small and medium size enterprises, how entrepreneur's personal characteristics is related on entrepreneurial intentions was investigated. Manifest questionnaire was distributed among Venture to the professional graduate students, graduate entrepreneurship, and small business start-educated founders in order to deduce the relationship between the entrepreneurial characteristics and the environment of entrepreneurial Intentions. Previous studies and the literature survey were carried out to support for statistics of the questionnaire. 550 answers were collected and analyzed to find that propensity for achievement, innovation, enterprising, risk taking and creativity are key factors influencing inauguration of an enterprise. We have found that among these, risk taking, creativity, and innovation are analyzed to be as a regression coefficient but enterprising a side regression coefficient. Since this study can find its limitation in that comprehensive fields of entrepreneurship were analyzed in general, the result of this study should be used with caution, until more is known about its accessibility for predicting of success or failure of Start-up Company.

  • Recently, there is a need to introduce a Korean-style restriction sandbox system that exempts or suspends existing regulations so that new products or services based on new technologies can be commercialized without restrictions. In response, the government reorganized the relevant statutes to promptly check regulations centering on four fields, including industrial convergence, ICT, FinTech, and regional innovation growth, and to allow experimental, proof and market releases by setting certain conditions(zone, period, scale, etc.). However, despite the same regulatory sandbox application, depending on the nature of the field applied, differences in application subject, whether application of regulatory specifics, system of push ahead decision-making and whether support of financial and taxation are shown. This research is intended to present efficient operation measures for successful settling of Korean-style regulation sandboxes by comparing and analyzing, centering on the Industrial Fusion Promotion Act in the Industrial Convergence Field, ICT field's Information and Communication Convergence Act, FinTech field's Financial Innovation Act and Regional Special Zone Act in the Regional Innovation and Growth Sector.

The Case Study of the Entrepreneurship Intensive Programs and the Successful Diffusing Strategies of the Entrepreneurship Education. (벤처창업전문과정(EIP) 사업추진 성공사례와 확산전략)

  • This paper introduced successful case studies of the EIP (Entrepreneurship Intensive Programs) programs that are planed by 5MBA (Small and Medium Business Administration) and executed by Hoseo University and Jinju National University in 2004. Therefore, the illustrations and examples used in this paper are based on the EIP programs of those schools. Currently there are five graduate schools for Entrepreneurship educations that are originated from the EIP program models and those graduateschools are actively and successfully working. The purpose of this paper is to find out the diffusing strategies of the Entrepreneurship spirits and Entrepreneurship Education programs after careful analysis and review of the EIP programs. The main factors of the Success of the EIP are as follows. First, there were excellent modules of the education process. Second, there were firm and clear goals of the education. Three, there were differentiated contents of the entrepreneurship education programs. Four. each and every education performance was monitored. Five, during the programs, real start-up cases were actually handled and students had many opportunities to present their cases. However, there were some shortcomings to improve and change of the entrepreneurship education. First of all, it was very difficult to make proper education formation that is fit in the purpose of the program. Second, motivating students to find out their own business opportunities so as to turn them into real business was not satisfactory or easy. Third, there were some limitations in distributing and executing the EIP budgets. Therefore, to improve the efficiency of the Entrepreneurship education, following expanding strategies should be complemented. First, continuous redesigning of the entrepreneurship education programs is very important. Second, the specialization of the contents of the entrepreneurship education programs is essential. Third, there should be some discretionary room for the management of the entrepreneurship programs. Fourth, it is also important activating the entrepreneurship networks among schools of the entrepreneurship education. Finally, it is necessary to give some incentives and motivations based on the proper performance evaluation system.

  • Due to imbalances in supply and demand within the labor market, start-ups have emerged as crucial players in the generation of high-quality employment opportunities, particularly in stagnant job markets. In response to this trend, governments are allocating substantial financial and human resources to initiatives that support start-up development. This has led to an increasing rate of engagement in start-up ventures across diverse age groups, not limited to younger individuals. Start-ups are enterprises focused on the commercialization of innovative ideas with the aim of achieving profitability in the marketplace. Research concerning the successful market integration of new products and the attainment of sustainable growth is pivotal. Such research is instrumental not only for the success of start-ups but also for realizing the broader social functions and contributions that these enterprises can offer. Previous research has often examined new product market-entry strategies, often referred to as new product marketing, particularly for large companies and SMEs. However, there is a gap in studies focusing on prototype marketing strategies specific to start-ups. Thus, this study aims to examine the impact of Pre-announcing marketing strategies on the market attention garnered by start-ups with low recognition and limited infrastructure, and how such attention contributes to their sustainable growth. Specifically, the study aims to uncover the causal relationship between information attributes like relevance, vividness, and novelty in building customer relationships, and their impact on purchase intentions influenced by performance expectations and hedonic motivations. In terms of Pre-announcing information attributes, relevance, vividness, and novelty positively influence performance expectations and hedonic motivations as outlined in the extended Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology (UTAUT2). These factors, in turn, positively impact the purchase intention for pre-announced new products from start-ups. These findings are expected to provide both theory and practical insights into the factors influencing market entry through the use of Pre-announcing marketing strategies for start-up new products.

A Study on the Key Factors Affecting Big Data Use Intention of Agriculture Ventures in Terms of Technology, Organization and Environment: Focusing on Moderating Effect of Technical Field (농업벤처기업의 빅데이터 활용의도에 영향을 미치는 기술·조직·환경 관점의 핵심요인 연구: 기술분야의 조절효과를 중심으로)

  • The use of big data accumulated along with the progress of digitalization is bringing disruptive innovation to the global agricultural industry. Recently, the government is establishing an agricultural big data platform and a support organization. However, in the domestic agricultural industry, the use of big data is insufficient except for some companies in the field of cultivation and growth. In this context, this study identifies factors affecting the intention to use big data in terms of technology, organization and environment, and also confirm the moderating effect of technical field, focusing on agricultural ventures which should be the main entities in creating innovation by using big data. Research data was obtained from 309 agricultural ventures supported by the A+ Center of FACT(Foundation of AgTech Commercialization and Transfer), and was analyzed using IBM SPSS 22.0. As a result, Among technical factors, relative advantage and compatibility were found to have a significant positive (+) effect. Among organizational factors, it was found that management support had a positive (+) effect and cost had a negative (-) effect. Among environmental factors, policy support were found to have a positive (+) effect. As a result of the verification of the moderating effect of technology field, it was found that firms other than cultivation had a moderating effect that alleviated the relationship between all variables other than relative advantage, compatibility, and competitor pressure and the intention to use big data. These results suggest the following implications. First, it is necessary to select a core business that will provide opportunities to generate new profits and improve operational efficiency to agricultural ventures through the use of big data, and to increase collaboration opportunities through policy. Second, it is necessary to provide a big data analysis solution that can overcome the difficulties of analysis due to the characteristics of the agricultural industry. Third, in small organizations such as agricultural ventures, the will of the top management to reorganize the organizational culture should be preceded by a high level of understanding on the use of big data. Fourth, it is important to discover and promote successful cases that can be benchmarked at the level of SMEs and venture companies. Fifth, it will be more effective to divide the priorities of core business and support business by agricultural venture technology sector. Finally, the limitations of this study and follow-up research tasks are presented.

Design and Implementation of Multiple Filter Distributed Deduplication System Applying Cuckoo Filter Similarity (쿠쿠 필터 유사도를 적용한 다중 필터 분산 중복 제거 시스템 설계 및 구현)

  • The need for storage, management, and retrieval techniques for alternative data has emerged as technologies based on data generated from business activities conducted by enterprises have emerged as the key to business success in recent years. Existing big data platform systems must load a large amount of data generated in real time without delay to process unstructured data, which is an alternative data, and efficiently manage storage space by utilizing a deduplication system of different storages when redundant data occurs. In this paper, we propose a multi-layer distributed data deduplication process system using the similarity of the Cuckoo hashing filter technique considering the characteristics of big data. Similarity between virtual machines is applied as Cuckoo hash, individual storage nodes can improve performance with deduplication efficiency, and multi-layer Cuckoo filter is applied to reduce processing time. Experimental results show that the proposed method shortens the processing time by 8.9% and increases the deduplication rate by 10.3%.
