A Study on Open Peer Review Perception of Korean Authors in a Mega OA Journal (메가 OA 학술지 국내 저자의 오픈 피어 리뷰 인식에 관한 연구)

  • This study was conducted to ascertain a better understanding of researchers' perception of open peer review (OPR), which is being attempted to improve the problems of traditional peer review methods in recent journal publications. A survey was conducted on the Korean authors of a mega open access (OA) journals and the results were analyzed. The subjects of the survey were selected as Korean corresponding authors published on PLOS, an international OA journal and mega journal. The survey was conducted as an online questionnaire and a total of 238 responses were collected; the analysis was based on 202 valid responses. Data were analyzed by performing frequency analysis and average comparison between groups for the collected questionnaire results. As a result of analyzing whether there is a difference in perception of OPR depending on the age, research experience, and OPR experience of the researcher, researchers under the age of 44, researchers with research experience of 9 years or less, and researchers with OPR participation experience had differences in some OPR perceptions. Results show that researchers under the age of 44 want to change the current peer review approach, but they are not yet actively accepting OPR. As a result of analyzing the reasons why the researcher disagrees with OPR, they raised questions about lack of objectivity, increased burden of reviewers, emotions and relationships, and responded that the right to be forgotten was also necessary.

Methods to Propel Tourism of Yeosu City Using Big Data (빅데이터를 활용한 여수관광 활성화 방안)

  • The fourth industrial revolution introduced at world economic forum in 2016 has had huge effects on tourism industries as well as the change of core technologies in ICT such as big data, IoT, etc, This paper proposes the methods to propel tourism of Yoesu city through big data analysis and questionnaires. Sensitive words and positive-negative trend are extracted by Social Metrics and the keywords for Yeosu tour trends are extracted and analyzed by Naver datalab, and the results are visualized by R language. And frequency, difference, factor, covariance and regression analysis in SPSS are executed for the questionnaires for 493 visitors who traveled in Yeosu city. Sentiment analysis for Yeosu tour and maritime cable car shows that positive effect is much more than negative one. The analyses for questionnaires in SPSS show that Yeosu area is statistically significant to tour satisfaction index and tour revitalization for Yeosu, and favorite sightseeing places and searching electronic devices for age groups are different. The sightseeing places such as a maritime park with soft contents that give joyfulness and healing to tourists are highly attracted in both the big data and questionnaires analysis.

Social Needs Analysis Model for Lifelong Education (평생교육프로그램 사회적 요구분석 모형)

  • This study aims to develop the model of needs analysis for lifelong education program in order to verify social needs as well as personal needs. The overall process of this study is as follows. Firstly, a questionaire based on six mode classification of lifelong education program was invented in order to apply to program development. Secondly, a questionaire was designed to evaluate personal needs and social needs simultaneously. Thirdly, t-test, needs analysis of Borich model, and the Locus for Focus model were conducted with a view to analyze the difference between personal needs and social needs. As a result, there showed the categories of education which are high in both personal and social needs, whereas a category like certification program is higher in social needs rather than in personal needs. The results represent the necessities of promoting programs which are high in social needs even if there is no personal needs. Therefore the needs survey and the needs analysis need to be conducted to find out not only personal needs but also social needs.

  • The present study investigated whether do the efforts of interviewer really impact on the building a rapport by using four rapport building techniques-personalization, empathy, listening, and credibility. One woman probation officer interviewed 139 criminals(male, 122; female, 17). And she tried to building a rapport by using 4 rapport building techniques for about 11 minutes in every interview. In result, the degree of rapport perceived by interviewees was different significantly between high rapport group and low rapport group of 4 each rapport technique. Result suggests that personalization and listening techniques would be efficient way of building a rapport in investigative interviewing.

A Study on Developing and Applying a Tool for Measuring Achievements of Reading Programs for Children (어린이 독서프로그램의 성과 측정 도구 개발과 적용에 관한 연구)

  • The purpose of this study was to develop and evaluate a measuring scale for the effect of reading programs for children. First, in literature review, the effects and children's reading programs performance scales were analyzed, and then independent variables, dependent variables, and control variables for children's reading achievements were defined. Second, survey questionnaires for children, librarians, program instructors, and heads of child centers were designed to measure dependent variables and control variables on the scale. Third, the questionnaires for children were distributed to 10 public libraries participating in <2013 The Reading with Library> programs for two times in the early and the late time of the programs. Also, the survey questionnaires of 30 librarians, program instructors, and heads of the child centers were carried. Finally, all of the data were collected and analyzed in time series, and the improvements for the scale were proposed.

A Study on Services and Programs of Bookmobiles in Korea (국내 이동도서관의 서비스와 프로그램 운영에 관한 연구)

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate the current status of services and programs of bookmobiles in Korea. To do this, a questionnaire containing 22 questions on basic information, scheduling and stops of bookmobiles, services and programs of bookmobiles, promotions and needs assessment and improvement requirements was developed on the basis of 7 foreign standards and guidelines related to bookmobile services. 74 questionnaires from bookmobiles belonging to public libraries and Saemaul bookmobiles were analysed. As a result, many parts of the results including operation days per week, stops per day, operation hours per stop, visiting cycle, circulation per day, circulation period and circulation volume and promotion conformed to foreign standards and guidelines but the others did not conformed to them. Also, there were more group differences in services and programs between bookmobiles belonging to public libraries and Saemaul bookmobiles than between bookmobiles in metropolitan cities and provinces in Korea.

High School Students' Perceptions on Science Elective of the 2009 Revised Curriculum (2009 개정 과학과 교육과정의 과학 선택 과목에 대한 고등학생의 인식 조사)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the suitability of elective of the 2009 revised high school science curriculum. This study surveyed 911 students in 126 high schools by using proportionate stratified sampling. Each participating students carried out the on-line survey comprising 13 items about personal and academic suitability. The result of analyzing the response of the questionnaire were as follows. First, there were deviation of study-load, depth, difficulty, etc. between science elective I and II. Second, even though 'science' subject was developed as a subject for improving scientific literacy, it was found that it was considered difficult next to Physics I. Besides, it showed 'science' subject could not function properly to improve the ability to communicate. According to the results of analyzing the degree of interest in science elective, it can not be determined 'no interest in subject' is from the reason of difficulty or large amount of contents to memorize. The results of this study will be useful to provide suggestions for the improvement of next high school science curriculum and textbooks.

Analysis of Informatics-1 textbook based on Informatics Curriculum for Middle School Revised in 2007 (2007 개정 중학교 정보 교육과정에 기초한 정보1 교과서의 분석)

  • In this thesis, newly distributed informatics-1 textbook is analyzed according to the curriculum for middle school revised in 2007 and, as a result, a questionnaire is conducted to find solutions for early adoption of informatics-1 textbooks. The sample of this survey was limited to Kyungi province-based middle school teachers on Informatics-1. Items of the survey were chosen to explore the degree of satisfaction of teachers on the informatics-1 textbook and to discover contents requiring further necessary revision. Out of seven items concerning the satisfaction of the textbook, the item with the most positive responses was 'the consistency with the curriculum' with 95%. Also, the item with the most negative responses was 'the adequacy of contents and their organization' with 13%. In conclusion, we, based on the results from the questionnaire, proposed the introduction of various lecture materials and the training of teachers to learn new teaching methods.

  • 본 연구에서는 남자 중학생을 대상으로 1) 티셔츠 단독무늬에서 어떤 감성을 느끼는지 알아보고, 2)선호하는 티셔츠가 무엇이며 그 특징은 무엇인지 알아보았다. 또, 3) 성격에 따라 티셔츠 단독무늬에서 느끼는 감성차이가 있는지에 대해 알아보았다. 본 연구의 연구문제를 실증적으로 조사하기 위하여 설문지법을 이용하였다. 설문지의 구성은 3부분으로 구성하여 1부에서는 MBTI를 이용한 성격유형에 관한 측정문항 2부에서는 의복행동에 관한 측정 문항 3부에서는 티셔츠 단독무늬에 대한 감성 측정 문항이 포함되었다. 본 연구는 인천 지역에 사는 중학생 380명을 대상으로 설문조사에 의해 진행 통계분석은 SPSS 10.0을 이용하여 t test와 분산분석, 대응분석 등으로 분석하였다. 이 중 무성의한 설문지를 제외한 총 331부를 자료 분석에 사용하였다. 본 연구의 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 남자 중학생들이 선호하는 단독무늬는 인공물을 소재로 한 사실적인 모티브로 주변에서 쉽게 접할 수 있는 친근한 소재를 활용한 무늬였다. 반대로 친근하지 않은 소재나 이해하기 어려운 단독무늬는 선호하지 않는 것으로 조사되었다. 둘째, 단독무늬에 대한 감성은 성격유형에 따라 다르게 나타났다. 외향형인 학생들은 감성에 대해 극적으로 대답하는 반면, 내향형인 학생들은 중간값에 가깝게 대답하는 성향이 강하게 나타났고, 감각형/직관형에서의 감성차이는 모든 단독무늬에서 직관형 학생들의 선호도가 높게 나타났다. 사고형/감성형에서 나타난 특징은 특정감성이 두 성격유형 모두에서 높게 나타난 경우 항상 사고형 학생집단에서 더 높게 평가하고 있다는 것이다. 판단형/인식형에서는 감성에 따라 의미있는 차이가 가장 많이 나타난 것이 특징이다. 이 결과는 단독무늬에서 느끼는 감성차이가 판단형과 인식형에서 가장 크다는 것을 의미한다.
