Reliability-Optimal Design Method of High-Speed Railway Bridges Based upon Expected Life-Cycle Cost (기대생애주기비용에 기초한 고속철도교량의 신뢰성-최적설계 방안)

  • The reliability evaluation may be a efficient method for estimating of the quantitative structural safety considering the effect of uncertainties included in high-speed railway bridges. The expected life-cycle cost(LCC) based upon the reliability evaluation will reasonably offer the safety level and design criteria of high-speed railway bridges. Therefore, this study determined the expected life-cycle cost and optimal design method of high-speed railway bridges on the basis of the result of the numerical analysis and reliability evaluation. For this, after creating various design method based upon the standard design of high-speed railway bridges, the numerical analysis is conducted on each of the alternative design methods. The reliability evaluation by the design strength limit state function is conducted considering the effect of external uncertainties on the basis of the numerical analysis result. The expected life-cycle cost of high-speed railway bridges is calculated on the basis of the reliability evaluation result by each of the alternative design methods. Also, the optimal design method is determined using the calculated expected life-cycle cost. In addition, The result of reliability evaluation and expected life-cycle cost of optimal design method are examined considering the effect of internal uncertainties. It is expected that the result of this study can be used as a basic information for the systematic safety evaluation and optimal structure design of high-speed railway bridges.

  • Recently, the issue of construction safety is growing. In the construction industry, accidents have continued to increase since 2000. In particular, the number of accident deaths at small and medium-sized construction sites accounts for 72.11% of the total number of accident deaths in the construction industry. For construction safety, prior safety evaluation systems such as Design for safety and safety management plan preparation are in place. However, at construction sites, these systems are recognized as formal legal documents, and their effectiveness is greatly reduced. Therefore, in this study, a linkage model that links design safety review information and safety management plan information was presented so that the safety management plan can be efficiently established. In addition, the effectiveness of the proposed process was verified as an example of actual work. The linkage model will contribute to improving the safety management environment at the site by increasing the productivity of safety management work by enabling easy sharing of risk factor information in the construction stage safety management work. The results of this study will be used as basic information for the development of the integrated safety management system.

석탄회를 통과하는 방사성핵종의 이동기구

  • 방사성폐기물의 처분시에는 원자력발전소와 유사한 안전개념들 도입하여 다중방벽을 구성하는 것이 일반적이다. 다중방벽중에서 뒷채움재는 처분안전성 망상의 주도적 역할을 하는 요소로서 지하수 침투방지, 방사성핵종 이동저지능의 기능을 가져야 한다 석탄회를 뒷채움재의 부재료로서 사용하기 위해서는 방사성폐기물처분장 설계에 적용할 때 안전성과 경제성을 만족시킬 수 있어야 한다. 본 인구에서는 석탄회의 핵종에 대한 흡착능의 관점에서 석탄회의 이용가능성들 평가하였다. 또한 Column 실험을 통하여 표면확산과 공극확산을 비교, 분석함으로써 석탄회를 통과하는 방사성핵종의 이동기구를 검토하였다.

  • 최근의 무선통신 시스템은 유지, 보수 및 구축이 유선통신 시스템에 비해 용이하고 이동성을 제공할 수 있다는 장점에 의해, 열차, 차량, 미사일 등의 이동체 제어와 관련된 분야에서의 연구가 활발히 진행되고 있다. 열차 또는 차량 제어와 같이 안전성이 중요시되는 분야에 있어서 전파에 의한 무선 링크는 가장 문제가 되는 부분으로서, 일반적으로 통신시스템은 어느 한 경로에서 고장이 발생하더라도 설계시 정해진 일정수준의 기능을 제공하는 생존성(survivability)을 지니도록 설계되어진다. 이와 관련한 연구와 개발은 대부분 공중 전화망과 고속 데이터 통신망을 대상으로 수행되었다. 본 논문에서는 유럽의 차세대 열차제어시스템에 적용하기 위해 기존의 유럽 표준 이동통신 시스템인 GSM(Global System for Mobile Communications)을 철도분야의 특수성에 맞도록 보완한 GSM-R(GSM-Railway)을 사례로 무선통신 시스템의 생존성을 검토한다.

  • 현재 국내에서 사용하고 있는 교량구조물의 성능평가방법으로는 크게 공용하중에 대한 내하율을 구하기 위하여 허용응력개념이나 강도설계 개념을 적용한 내하력 평가 기법이 사용되고 있다. 그러나 위의 방법들은 일반적으로 공용연수의 경과에 따른 재료 및 구조적 성능의 손실과 여러 가지 하중 및 환경적 요인들의 불확실성으로 인하여 발생하는 손상 및 열화를 반영하기 어렵다. 그리고 제원 및 재료물성치의 불확실성에 대한 기존 설계 자료의 DB 부족으로 기존의 평가방법에서는 이러한 시간의 경과에 따른 성능저하를 정확히 산정할 수 없어 이론상의 값과 실제 구조물과의 차이로 인한 불확실성이 존재 한다. 이에 본 연구에서는 공용년수 경과에 따른 시설물의 재료 구조적인 성능 및 거동분석 수행, 신뢰성 해석 수행을 바탕으로 교량 안전성 평가의 합리성 및 현실성을 제고하며, 구조 신뢰성 해석을 수행함으로써 실제 구조물의 강도 한계상태에 대한 파괴확률을 산정하고 그에 대응하는 위험도를 평가함으로써 안전성 검토를 수행하였다. 본 실험을 통해 1. 재료 강도, 부재 제원, 긴장력, 작용하중 등에 있어 설계 시 가정과 실제 사용 환경 사이의 변동성이 존재한다는 것을 알 수 있었으며, 2. 연구 수행 결과 일반 정밀진단 및 해석에서는 얻을 수 없는 다양하고 중요한 결과를 산출할 수 있었으며 이러한 연구 결과를 바탕으로 개선된 성능평가 기법이 제안 될 수 있음을 알 수 있었다.

  • The construction work to establish a safety management plan should be carried out Design for Safety(DFS) task by the designers from May 2016 according to the amendment of the Construction Technology Promotion Act. However, designers lack experience in construction work and lack of information on safety accidents, so it is not easy to predict a disaster that may occur during the construction phase. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to provide information about disasters that can occur in each construction work in order to enable designers to efficiently perform DFS task in the design phase. In this study, the construction work was classified by work unit and the disaster risk assessment was conducted using the Failure Mode and Effect Analysis technique. The disaster information by work unit analyzed in this study can be used to provide designers with an alternative to prevent disasters at the design stage. Disaster information by work unit of apartment construction can be used by designers to prepare an alternative for disaster prevention at the design stage.

  • Recognizing that the fundamental cause of construction safety accidents was a lack of safety management activities in the planning and design phases, the government made the Design for Safety (DFS) system mandatory in May 2016. However, awareness among ordering parties and designers regarding this system is significantly low, and the system has not been properly established due to reasons such as the need for additional work and a lack of professional manpower. In this study, the awareness of ordering parties and designers of the DFS system was analyzed through a survey, various problems in DFS work execution were identified and measures for improvement were presented. Measures to improve the efficiency in DFS work execution involve the discovery of risk factors and establishment of countermeasures, and here the establishment of a DFS work support system that enables the sharing of information between institutions is the most urgent priority. In addition, it is also urgently necessary to establish a dedicated organization in charge of DFS work, cultivate professional manpower, develop the relevant education programs and establish a proper cost calculation standard for DFS work execution by design offices.

해상 네트워크 기반 선박 안전 입출항 지원 시스템의 설계

  • 최근 선박의 사고가 증가하고 해양 환경오염 문제가 대두되면서 운항 중인 선박을 대상으로 하는 다양한 안전운항 솔루션에 대한 필요성이 요구되고 있다. 안전운항 솔루션은 일반적으로 육상과 선박을 연결하는 광대역 무선 데이터 통신기술, 해상 데이터를 처리할 수 있는 메타데이터 기술, 안전운항을 지원하는 서비스의 요소 기술로 구성된다. 본 논문에서는 광대역 애드혹 통신망을 기반으로 하는 선박의 안전 입출항 지원 서비스의 항목을 정의하고, 이를 구현하기 위한 서버 및 클라이언트 시스템에 대하여 기술한다. 본 연구의 안전 입출항 지원 서비스는 교통정보, 환경정보, 충돌회피지원정보로 구성되며, 선박에 탑재된 클라이언트에서 육상에 설치된 서버 시스템으로 서비스를 요청하고 정보를 제공 받도록 설계하였다. 이렇게 설계된 시스템은 테스트 플랫폼을 통해 서비스의 구현 가능성을 검토하며, 실해역(여수항)에서의 시험을 통해 그 실효성을 검증할 예정이다.

  • From the viewpoint of navigation safety, it would be best if it's possible to build a bridge whose main span is wide enough, however, sometimes it may not be possible due to geographical or economic reason To construct the bridge on the shipping route, consideration factors for marine traffic safety must be investigated and examined from the viewpoint of marine traffic engineering. This study aims to secure marine traffic safety and maintain smoothly traffic flow through assessment qf these factors. As the first step, examination factors such as traffic volume, ship size and bridge width were assessed quantitatively using marine traffic flow simulation technique.

Development of Earthquake Resistant Analysis Models for Typical Roadway Bridges (일반도로교의 내진해석모델 개발)

  • The structural safety required in general design is to be proved with safety factors provided for structural members in elastic range. But, for the safety requirement in the earthquake resistant design, a specific ductile failure mechanism in plastic range should be verified according to the structural configuration. Therefore such verifications should be done in the preliminary design stage by comparing various design alternatives. In the main design stage only a confirmation of the ductile failure mechanism is required. In this study typical roadway bridges are selected and analysis models are presented for the preliminary and main design. For the two models, vibration periods and mode shapes are compared and the multi-mode spectrum method is applied to determine failure mechanisms. The failure mechanisms obtained with the two models are compared to check the properness of the model used for the preliminary design, which may well be used as an earthquake resistant analysis model in practice.
