  • Quality for civil aviation is very important to maintain the safety of aircraft and public, and strict quality requirements are prescribed in aviation regulations to ensure that each article produced conforms to the type design and is a condition for safe operation. In this study, the quality system requirements for aircraft and parts will be reviewed a concept of FAA's ACSEP(Aircraft Certification System Evaluation Program) and policy for aviation quality system evaluation in comparison with AS9100 for aviation quality management system.

  • ELF 전자파의 생물학적인 영향 평가를 위한 in vitro 세포 실험에서 노출장치의 설계는 코일내피 유도기전력(E)과 전류밀도(J) 해석과 함께 이루어져야 한다. 균일 자기장 속에서 세포를 배양할 경우애도 배양기내의 전도성 매질로 인해 균일한 E와 J가 분포하지 않는다. 따라서 균일한 ELF 자기장 노출장치로부터 발생되는 샘플 매질 내에서의 E나 J를 정확히 예측하는 것은 in vitro 세포실험의 성공여부를 가늠 할 정도로 매우 중요한 정보가 된다. 이에 본 논문에서는 in vitro 실험에 적합한 ELF in vitro 노출 장치를 설계하고 노출 장치에 대한 전자기학적 평가를 수행하였다. 코일 내에서 샘플 매질의 유무와 샘플 내에서도 세포가 놓여질 임의의 위치에 따라 E와 J를 예측하고 검증을 위한 측정과 시뮬레이션을 시도하였다. 노출장치는 헬름 홀쯔 코일로 제작되었고 자기장의 세기는 1-2OG 범위 내에서 가변이 가능하다. 또한 코일내의 자기장의 분포가 균일(uniform), 비균일(nonuniform)만 두 가지모드를 각각 제작하여 보았다.

  • The Russian government is expanding strategic cooperation with foreign countries, including production partnerships, in order to secure civil aircraft manufacturing technology and advanced materials, with the aim of becoming the world's third-largest civil aircraft producer. In addition, the Russian government supports the development of the aircraft manufacturing industry and reorganizes the aircraft certification organization to pursue systematic aviation safety and make great efforts in international cooperation and certification activities for the export of aviation products. Establishing a cooperative system for safety and certification of civil aircraft between countries requires a process of mutual understanding and trust in the overall certification system. Therefore in this study, we wanted to analyze Russia's aircraft certification organization, law system, certification procedures to help Russia understand its aircraft certification system.

  • From design to serial production, aircraft should go thorough complicated certification procedure from airworthiness authority such as Type Certificate, Production Certificate and Certificate of Airworthiness. On the other hand, aircraft components are mandated to receive Technical Standard Order Approval and Production Manufacture Approval before commercial use. As domestic aircraft and LRUs are currently under development, Bilateral Aviation Safety Agreement is promoted for the purpose of increasing aviation safety as well as foreign export. This paper describes the basic aircraft certification procedure and compares the difference in the certification system of US and Korea. Thorough this, it is attempted to suggest a requirements for establishing international certification system.

  • 선박의 추진축은 선박의 기관실 최말단부에서 바깥의 프로펠러까지 선체를 관통하여 설치되고 회전하기 때문에 선외로부터의 해수유입을 쳐대한 차단하는 역할을 하는 독특한 메커니즘을 가진 축밀봉장치(Shaft Sealing System)를 필요로 하는데 이것을 스턴튜브 씰(Stem Tube Seal)이라고 한다. 본 연구는 국내 중소형 선사들이 저렴한 가격대비 우수 품질의 씰 및 하우징을 사용할 수 있고 3차원 형상화를 통하여 선박의 운용자가 쉽고 정확하게 스턴튜브 씰을 이해 및 신속 정비가능, 해외업체 생산 규격을 선박 축에 맞게 절단, 접합의 씰 성능저하 관행을 고쳐 선주가 원하는 사양과 규격대로 제작된 우수한 씰 제품을 공급할 수 있고, 선박용 기자재에 대한 기초지식, 씰링 메카니즘, 구조 및 유동 해석 결과를 제공하여 국내 최초의 무접착 원형 메인 씰 개발 및 씰 하우징 제작 및 독자설계 기술을 확립하고자 한다.

  • Slab panels are very important to develop asphalt concrete (AC) track for minimizing the roadbed stress due to the train load and reducing the plastic deformation of infrared-sensitive AC. In this study, the slab panel for AC track was developed through the shape design and the indoor performance test and its structural integrity has been investigated through the finite element analysis under the flexural tensile stress and the design moment according to various static load combination by KRL-2012 standard train load model and KR-C code. In order to verify the suitability of the slab panel for AC track, static bending strength test and dynamic bending strength test were performed according to EN 13230-2. Results show that the slab panel for AC track satisfies all the performance standards required by European standards such as crack loads and crack extension.

  • In this work, a structural design on 500W class horizontal axis wind turbine blade using natural-fibre composite is performed. The structural design result of flax composite blade is compared with the result of glass composite blade. The structural design of the wind turbine blade is carried out using the simplified methods such as the netting rule and the rule of mixture. The structural safety of the designed blade structure is investigated through the various load cases, stress, deformation and buckling analyses using the commercial FEM. The structural test of the manufactured prototype blade was performed to confirm the structural analysis results including strains, natural frequencies and deformations. According to the comparison results, it was confirmed that the analysis results are well agreed with the experimental results.

  • In this paper, meander line type EMAT(Electro-Magnetic Acoustic Transducer) has been designed and fabricated with effective properties for detecting flaw existing within one wavelength in depth, and its characteristics have been analyzed. For the purpose of getting effective dynamic and static magnetic intensity, the coil has been arrayed using wire with interval of 0.75 mm and width of 0.65 mm and permanent magnets with 1500 Gauss have been constructed respectively. The center frequency and fractional bandwidth of the fabricated EMAT was 2 MHz and 36% respectively and its impulse response has been measured by non-contacting technique(the distance between the conducting media and the coil was 0.15mm). In the measuring results, it has been shown that Insertion Loss(IL) was 45.46dB and it was good agreement with theoretical result.

  • CIBER 2(Cosmic Infrared Background ExpeRiment 2)는 CIBER1의 후속과제로 진행되는 사업으로써 적외선 기기를 NASA Sounding Rocket에 탑재하여 0.5-2.1${\mu}m$ 파장대의 적외선 우주배경복사를 관측하고 실험하는 과제이다. CIBER 2는 NASA에서 공식 승인되어 진행되고 있는 사업이며, 미국의 Caltech, 한국의 KASI, 일본의 ISAS/JAXA가 국제협력으로 진행하는 과제이다. 한국의 KASI는 반사경의 광학계 및 광기계부 개발, 전자부 개발에 참여하고 있다. CIBER 2의 광학계는 카세그레인 방식으로써 주경의 직경은 300mm이다. CIBER 2는 77K로 냉각되어 적외선우주배경복사를 관측하기 때문에 특히, 열수축에 의한 영향을 고려하여 설계, 제작, 조립이 되어야 한다. 또한, 광학계 구조물이 조립되는 로켓의 내경이 400mm이기 때문에 광학계 구조물의 직경에 제한이 따른다. 본 발표에서는 KASI가 주도적으로 개발 중인 반사경 마운트와 광학계 구조물의 초기설계와 광기계 해석결과들에 대해서 논한다.

  • This paper describes the general design procedure of cooling system for liquid rocket engine(LRE). From this design logic, cooling channels are designed and fabricated. The measured heat flux from firing test is similar to the heat flux predicted by design logic. Therefore, the proposed design procedure of cooling channel can be applied to real LRE system. Also the result of firing test indicates that combustion pressure and mixture ratio have an influence on the heat flux to be produced in combustion chamber.
